It was a Sunday morning,

POV.

It was just yesterday my mom came to my room and told me and my brother that we, us siblings will be going to an event conducted by our community to enjoy our day with games.

When my mom said that I looked back at my brother who was in utterly shock because he wasn't a fan of such things, but we agreed regardless.

Now I was fighting for my life as I didn't have the outfit to wear for this occasion. My mom was piling clothes which wear either not my style or not comfortable for me. I was at the edge At this moment.

"Mom… Stop- I'll do it myself from here", I said trying not to cry out.

She rolled her eyes as she looked at me and sighed,"and what are u going to wear?"

I walked towards my wardrobe as I reached towards my go-to baggy pants, not too baggy, even tho It was a bit loose by the waist(I can fix that). For the Shirt? I chose one from my mom's cause why not?

"Auntie! Is Sissy done?!!", I heard my neighbor's kid asking for me. "Almost done dear!", my mom replied her. Her name is Cassey, a 5 years old kid, she has an older brother, Mike who is 15 years old. Me and my brother are 18 and 14 years old.

After a few minutes

I was ready with my brother, my mom had prepared lunch for us. I carried the bag I had prepared for the event, a comb, a pair an outfit for Theo, my brother, extra pants for me and a few bottles of water.Theo had the lunch box given my mom, which he absolutely didn't want to carry, but he did.We both were heading towards my aunt's house to see if they were ready yet or not.

They were the ones who suggested the event as Auntie Emily was one of the organizers.

Her family, one of my friends from downstairs and we were about to go there.

Now I was waiting for my friend Katie, who was coming with her little sister, Millie and her aunt Cathy. As they came both Cassey and Millie jumped on each other then jumped on me, expressing how excited they were. Katie came just in time before my back broke and pulled them away just a little.

"Thanks Kat-", I said as I grasped a little, as I gave a soft smile at her. Then I noticed her outfit, "Looking good with that fit Kat". "Yup bought it from the store down streets.", she said as she chuckles. "Kids the cab is here! Come on", Aunt Emily called out to us. As we heard that we looked at each other and walked towards the cab as we decided where we wanted to sit; window seat, was what we both chose. We kept our bags inside the car boot and were about to get on when Aunt Jennifer told us to wait a bit, so the kids and her could go sit at the back (It was a 7 sitter car).

At the front, Aunt Cathy sat at the passenger seat with Millie on her lap, at the middle seats, Me and Kat sat at the window seats with Cassey on her lap, between us, sat Aunt Emily and at the back Theo, Mike and Aunt Jennifer sat.

It is a half hour drive, which didn't really feel like it because of the blast of music we were having, and we were just enjoying the breeze. Then we reached our destination... Which seemed like a college? Wat?

"Kat… U see what I'm seeing right now?", I said in an amusing voice. "Couldn't be better…", she also replied. "Take your bags girls, and start walking", said Aunt Jennifer from behind, looking at us. We just nodded and carried out bags as we started following them.

Mmm... As we entered the entrance the first view ahead was water bottles? Yeah., some uncles and guys were carrying the bundles ahead towards a stage I guess? Well at least their ground is big enough...? We walked a little further to a spot under two trees where benches were placed parallelly just enough for 4-5 people to sit. There were indeed people who had come just like us, in front of us there was a group of guys who had come to play football, how do I know? Just look at them gurl?! They got the shirt, the shoe and the ball.

And behind us was the podium? Stage, there were people seating.

As we sat there, the wind flew just carrying enough strength to blow your hair in different directions, Me having shoulder hair length didn't have any spare clips. My hair was dancing and I was trying to control it which went the same with Kat but lucky her she pulled out her hairband. Heartlessss

After a while of fixing hair, a few more people started gathering and kids were just vibing with each other... Nowhere to be seen? Where did Cassey and Millie go???!

I turned to Kat, who was busing with MY phone, i sighed and pulled her a bit," where are the kids? U idiot!", i asked her. "I don't know?!! I thought you were looking after them!", she said as her eyes widened a bit as she handed the phone to the owner. And we knew we were screwed... We looked back towards the stage where kids were playing, and they were there. "Thank God..", I mouthed, as my glaze shifted to a kid who was playing with them.

I turned to Kat and asked,"Kat? U see that kid? Doesn't she look familiar?". "Oh yeah absolutely", she said.

And then I remembered that I had a photo of that kid and us from last year. We went to them calling for Cassey and Millie and also to greet that kid.

"Mile and Cass, come on the games are about to begin", Kat said informing them then turned to the *last year* kid, "Hey kiddo, remember us?" I leaned in a bit to match her height, expecting something, which was "No, I don't", she said as she went to play again. Disappointed we went to our place, where aunty had arranged the mat.

After a while, the games were announced to be starting and were told to arrive at Ground 2 , which was just beside Ground 1 , divided by a walking path for people.
