Sometimes I sit and think about life....and I feel… grateful
Author 🤐
Grateful for the little love I get..the kind that warms even the coldest days... I know I’m lucky in that way
Author 🤐
But other times... it’s hard not to feel stuck
Author 🤐
I don’t have a job right now
Author 🤐
I overeat sometimes...even when I don’t need to... and that makes me feel out of control
Author 🤐
It’s like my own body is working against me...and I can’t just switch it off
Author 🤐
Yet… I’m still here
Author 🤐
I care...I feel... I notice the small joys...the food I like... the books I can get lost in... the people who matter
Author 🤐
I might be struggling in ways others can’t see...but I’m learning to be patient with myself
Author 🤐
But never seem to finish any
Author 🤐
Each one is a little world I build... and yet...they sit there incomplete, like pieces of myself I can’t quite put together....
Author 🤐
Exhausting....And sometimes I wonder if I’m failing...at life, at work...at myself
Author 🤐
But even with all of that...I’m still grateful
Author 🤐
I may not have everything figured out...but I’m here
Author 🤐
I’m trying.... And for now...that’s enough

Before you read the story, let me tell you that I have read many stories of this type and I also wanted to make one.. that is why I am writing it
Chapter -1
One moment it was a clear blue, the next it was ripped into darkness, veins of black spreading across the clouds
The ground shivered as if the earth itself were trying to tear apart, buildings trembling and crumbling beneath the weight of a world unmaking itself.
Screams pierced the air, but they were drowned out by the low, otherworldly rumble that came from the cracks
From the black fissures, shapes emerged—tall, grotesque, moving with unnatural intent
Shadows with too many limbs, eyes that glowed like burning coals, claws that sliced through steel
They came for everything, erasing humanity like it had never existed
And yet, amidst the chaos, a strange spark flickered in some people
They could feel it deep in their bones: strength, speed, senses beyond normal
Powers they had never known awakened as if the world itself had given them a second chance
Hands that had trembled now clenched with iron grip
Eyes that had been weak now saw in the dark
Hearts that had feared now beat with courage unshakable
Humanity clawed back against the monsters with the newfound abilities that surged within them
Blood stained the streets, buildings fell like dominoes, and yet, some survived
They fought, bled, and lived to see the next sunrise
Twelve years have passed since then
The world has healed in many ways, though the memory of those first days still lingers like a shadow over everyone who remembers
The rifts are no longer tearing open everywhere
Monsters are fewer, controlled, hunted by those who carry the power the system gave them
Life, at least on the surface, is normal again
Children play in the streets, restaurants bustle, and people walk without fear—but behind that calm, the memory of what could have been—and what still could come—never truly fades
Even now, some who survived then, who had awakened, live with the knowledge of what it cost
Heroes who once walked among them, some lost to the first rift, some hidden by fate, remain etched into history
And somewhere, in quiet corners of the world, the battle never truly ended
Chapter-2
The door clicked softly as Binbin stepped into apartment, his little backpack bouncing slightly with each step
His caretaker, Ms. Yura, looked up from the kitchen, wiping her hands on a towel
Ms. yura/ beta
Well, how was your first day at kindergarten?
She asked...trying to sound cheerful...though she knew the question might get little more than a nod.
Binbin didn’t answer at once
He hung his backpack on the hook by the door and slowly turned toward her...his small face serious
Cha Heon/binbin/A
Where’s dad?
His voice was low, careful, holding a quiet weight that made Yura’s heart tighten
Ms. yura/ beta
He’s… in work...Binbin.... You know that
Yura said softly, crouching slightly so she was at his level
Ms. yura/ beta
He’ll be back soon...okay?
Binbin’s lips pressed together
He nodded slightly but didn’t smile
The tiny crease between his brows deepened as he repeated
Cha Heon/binbin/A
When will dad come?
Yura sighed gently, running a hand through her hair
She had expected this. It was the first day of kindergarten, after all—new faces, new sounds, new rules
Most children would chatter about friends, colors, or what they had eaten
But not Binbin....For him, the world outside mattered little if his father wasn’t there
Ms. yura/ beta
I promise he’ll come soon. But first… you must be hungry, yes?
Yura said, leading him toward the kitchen
Ms. yura/ beta
Let’s get you something to eat... You’ve had a long day
Binbin followed, his small footsteps quiet on the wooden floor
He climbed onto the chair without a word and watched as Yura prepared a simple plate of food
His eyes, usually so unreadable and calm, flickered with the tiniest shadow of sadness
It was the only emotion he allowed himself to show—and only for his father
Yura set the plate in front of him
Ms. yura/ beta
Here you go, Binbin. Eat up. You need energy if you’re going to tell me all about your day
Binbin picked up the fork slowly, still silent, still lost in thought about the man who wasn’t home
Yura watched him, her heart softening
She knew it would take time for him to open up, but for now, she was content simply to see him eating—small steps, one quiet moment at a time
Binbin said again, almost a whisper, as if saying it aloud could bring him closer
Ms. yura/ beta
Yes, he’ll be back
Yura replied gently, her voice full of reassurance
