Lady Flare: The Kwami – Flixxi Awakening

Chapter 1 : The secrets I didn't ask for

Most people think secrets are easy to keep.

You just don’t tell anyone, right?

But they don’t understand what it feels like…

to sit in class pretending everything is normal,

while your heart is racing with something no one else can see.

My name is Shivika.

And if you met me, you probably wouldn’t notice anything special.

I’m quiet at first. I overthink things.

Sometimes I say the wrong thing… or nothing at all.

But I care. Probably too much.

And that’s the problem.

That day, I got into my mom’s car. Everything felt normal, just like any other day. But when I got home, my dog Leo was bouncing around, wagging his tail like crazy. I petted him, laughing at his energy, and then… I went to my room, tired from the day.

When I stepped inside, something on my desk caught my eye—a small, mysterious box I hadn’t noticed before. My hands trembled as I walked closer and reached out to lift the lid.

Inside, something shimmered and glowed, like it had a light of its own. My heart raced. I wanted to look away, to convince myself it wasn’t real, but I couldn’t. It was there, waiting… almost as if it had been expecting me.

I hesitated, my fingers hovering over the glowing light. Every part of me screamed to pull back, to pretend this wasn’t happening. And yet… curiosity won.

Slowly, I reached out. The moment my fingers brushed the surface, a warmth spread through my hand, and a tiny pulse of energy shot up my arm. I stumbled back, wide-eyed.

A voice—soft, calm, and somehow ancient—echoed in my mind again.

“Shivika… I chose you because you care. Because you see things others ignore. You feel deeply, even when it scares you. That is why you were ready, even if you don’t know it yet.”

My stomach twisted. Me? Chosen? I shook my head, unable to believe it.

Why me? I’m… I’m just… normal,” I whispered.

“Normal?” the voice seemed to laugh, gentle but full of power. “You think being quiet, thoughtful, and caring makes you ordinary. But that is exactly why you are extraordinary. You have the heart, the courage, and the patience to carry what I must share with you. And now… the time has come.”

I swallowed hard, my mind spinning with questions I didn’t even know how to ask. Fear and excitement tangled inside me, but one thing was clear: my life had just… changed.

Later, I sank onto my bed, the box still glowing softly on my desk. I rubbed my eyes and whispered to myself, “I must be dreaming. This can’t be real… right?”

I thought about all the dreams I’d had before—dreams where people got akumatized, where chaos spread and I was powerless to stop it. Those dreams had felt so real at the time, twisting my stomach and making me wake up terrified. Could this… could this glowing thing be another one of those dreams?

And yet… the warmth it had sent through me, the way it seemed to know me… it felt different. Real. Part of me wanted to hide under the covers and pretend it wasn’t happening. But another part—the part that had always loved a little adventure—knew one thing for certain: my life had just taken a turn I could never have imagined.

I glanced at the box again, my heart thundering. “If this isn’t a dream… if this is real… then I guess I have no choice but to find out what’s next.”

I took a shaky breath and leaned closer, my fingers trembling as they hovered over the glow. Every instinct screamed to pull back—but something inside me, a tiny spark of courage I didn’t know I had, pushed me forward.

Finally, I touched it.

A surge of warmth and light raced up my arm, and for a moment, it felt like the world around me had melted away. The glow wrapped around my hand, pulsing in time with my heartbeat. My chest tightened with excitement, fear, and something… else.

A whisper, gentle but filled with power, echoed in my mind:

This is only the beginning, Shivika. Your journey has started. Together, we will awaken what has been hidden, and you will see the world in a way you never imagined.”

My eyes widened. The warmth spread through me like fire and electricity all at once, and I could feel… something changing inside me. I didn’t know what I was becoming, but I knew one thing for certain: nothing would ever be the same again.

I pulled my hand back, staring at the box, my heart racing. “This… this is real,” I whispered. “It’s really happening.”

And for the first time, I didn’t feel afraid. Not completely.

Adventure was calling—and somehow, I knew I was ready.

Chapter 2 : A name for the unkown

I stared at the glowing presence in front of me, my hand still tingling from the warmth it had sent through me. My heart was racing faster than it had all day.

“Okay,” I whispered, my voice shaking, “I… I need to know. What’s your name?”

For a moment, there was only the soft shimmer of light. Then, a small flicker, almost like a nod, and a voice—gentle, curious, and ancient—answered in my mind.

“I… do not have one yet. Names are powerful, and I will reveal mine when the time is right. For now, you may call me… yours.”

I blinked. Mine? That sounded… strange, but comforting at the same time.

I wanted to tell someone—my mom, my dad, Leo even—but the thought made the glow pulse again, lightly, almost like a heartbeat.

Shivika… you can never tell anybody about me. Not your family. Not your friends. Not anyone.”

I froze. “Never? But… why? I mean… this is huge! You’re real! How can I just keep this a secret?”

“Because the world is not ready. Curiosity can bring danger. People may try to use me… or you. You must keep this secret safe, no matter what. Only when the time is right will anyone else know.”

I swallowed hard. My chest tightened, and fear crept in. “But… why me? Why now? Why do you need me?”

The glow pulsed warmly, like a reassuring heartbeat.

“Because you care, Shivika. You notice what others overlook. You feel deeply. That is why you were chosen. The one who can awaken what has been hidden, who can protect what must remain secret… that is you. And you are ready, even if you do not yet believe it.”

I nodded slowly, trying to take it all in. My mind spun with questions, but one thing was clear: whatever this was, it was more than magic. It was a responsibility… and it was mine.

I glanced at the glow again, feeling a mix of awe and fear. “Okay… I’ll keep your secret. For now.”

“Good. Remember this, Shivika: our bond will grow stronger. Trust yourself, and trust me. Your journey is only beginning, and the world will need you sooner than you think.”

I nodded again, my fingers brushing the edge of the glowing presence. The warmth spread through me once more, a quiet promise that whatever was coming, I wouldn’t face it alone.

I stared at the glow again, my curiosity bubbling over. “Okay… if I can’t tell anyone, then I have to figure out what this… thing can do,” I whispered.

The warmth pulsed under my fingers, like it was alive, waiting for me to take a step.

“Very well,” the voice said, soft but firm. “We will begin small. Do not rush. Magic is not something to be forced—it must flow through you, not around you.”

I nodded, even though the kwami couldn’t see me. My hand trembled as I reached toward the glow again. This time, I didn’t just touch it. I focused.

A tiny spark jumped from the glow to my fingertips, like static electricity, and I gasped. A small flicker of light hovered in the air above my hand. It hovered, wobbled, then shot up in a tiny arc and disappeared.

“Whoa…” I whispered, my eyes wide. “Did I… do that?”

Yes,” the voice said, almost proud. “But that was only the beginning. Your heart must guide you, Shivika. Magic is tied to who you are. That is why you were chosen.”

I looked down at my hands, still tingling. “I… I can’t tell anyone about this. Not even my mom or dad. Not Leo… not anyone,” I muttered.

Exactly. That is why secrecy is crucial. The world is not ready for what we are about to do. And remember… danger often follows curiosity. Your trust in me—and in yourself—must be absolute.”

I swallowed hard. Part of me felt scared, but another part felt alive in a way I had never experienced before. I was special. I was chosen. And now… I had a secret that would change everything.

I focused again, and this time the flicker of light stayed in the air longer, hovering just above my palm. A tiny smile crept onto my face. Maybe this wasn’t just a dream. Maybe… I was really ready.

“Good, Shivika. You are learning. But remember—patience and control are as important as courage. Soon, you will need both in ways you cannot yet imagine.”

I nodded. My heart thudded in my chest. My life had changed forever, and the adventure was only beginning.

Chapter 3 : The first spark

The morning sun spilled into my room, and the alarm on my phone buzzed. I groaned, pulling the blankets over my head for just a second… and then remembered.

The box.

Sitting up, I ran to my desk and opened it. The soft glow filled the room again, warm and familiar.

Hello again, Shivika,” a playful, gentle voice said. “Ready to continue?”

I blinked at the glowing form. Flixxi, my kwami, hovered above the box, her light flickering like tiny sparks of mischief and wisdom.

“Today, I will remind you of everything you need to know,” she continued. “Your transformation, detransformation, and the powers you hold. First—Spots and Sparks, unite. That is how you transform. To return to your normal form, Spots and Sparks, rest. Easy to remember, yes?”

I nodded, my heart racing.

Good. Now, your power—Reality Mirage. You can create illusions that become temporarily real. You can touch, build, transform, or duplicate objects. You can even create wheel traps, shields, and more. Every illusion carries a hidden lucky advantage that can help you succeed. But be careful—big creations drain your energy and only last a short time. When things get too dangerous or the enemy takes advantage, you can use your ultimate: Mirage Reset. It restores balance, erases the enemy’s advantage, resets the field, and even fixes what has been broken.”

I swallowed, trying to take it all in. Magic, illusions, luck, a secret ultimate move… it was overwhelming—but exciting.

“Now,” Flixxi said, her glow swirling around me, “you are wearing your bracelet, yes? The Pandora charm with the dog on it?”

I held up my wrist. “Yeah… Leo,” I whispered with a smile.

“Good,” Flixxi said. “But to transform, you need another charm. I’ve added it for you.”

I looked closer at the bracelet, and there it was—a tiny charm shaped like an infinity symbol. “What does it do?” I asked.

“It connects your magic to your form,” Flixxi explained. “Whenever you say ‘Spots and Sparks, unite,’ the charm triggers your transformation. Your clothes, your abilities… all ready for action. The magic is yours, Shivika. Trust it, trust yourself, and you will grow stronger every day.”

I slid the charm into place, feeling a warm pulse flow from it through my wrist and up my arm. My heart thudded in excitement.

“Now, try it. Say the phrase,” Flixxi encouraged, her voice sparkling with energy.

I took a deep breath, whispered, “Spots and Sparks, unite,” and a wave of warmth surged through me. My room blurred for a second as my clothes shimmered and transformed, light and practical yet sparkling with small, subtle patterns that made me feel… powerful.

I looked down at myself, grinning. “It worked…”

Yes!” Flixxi exclaimed, flicking a tiny spark of light around me. “Now you understand. Transformation, Reality Mirage, lucky illusions, and Mirage Reset. All yours. And remember—never tell anyone about me. Secrecy is your shield.”

I nodded, holding my wrist where the infinity charm glowed softly. My secret, my magic… my adventure… it had only just begun.

I looked down at my transformed self, still staring at my wrist where the infinity charm glowed softly. My heart was racing. This is really happening…

“Good, Shivika. Now, let’s practice. Start small. Create something simple, something you can control. Your heart guides the illusions, and each one carries a lucky advantage,” Flixxi said, her glow flickering like sparks in excitement.

I took a deep breath and raised my hands. “Okay… let’s try…” I focused, imagining a tiny glowing butterfly. The light formed, delicate wings flapping, hovering above my fingers. It shimmered, casting tiny dancing lights across my desk. I reached out, and my fingers felt the soft texture of its wings.

Perfect!” Flixxi cheered. “See? Your power responds to you. And each creation has a hidden benefit—watch closely.”

I watched the butterfly swoop around the room, landing lightly on Leo’s nose. He yipped and barked, startled, but safe. My chest swelled with pride. I did that.

“Now try something a little bigger,” Flixxi encouraged. “But remember your limits. Energy drains quickly, and focus is key.”

I thought for a moment, then concentrated. The light on my desk twisted and stretched, forming a small glowing barrier—a semi-transparent shield. I reached out and pressed my hands against it. Solid… it held. I wobbled it slightly, testing the edges, and felt the hidden advantage Flixxi had mentioned: the shield subtly redirected Leo’s bouncing ball when he threw it, preventing it from hitting my desk.

Excellent!” Flixxi said, spinning in a tiny arc of sparks. “Every creation has a purpose, even small ones. You are learning fast.”

I smiled, feeling the thrill of control and power. I really am… a hero in training.

Then a chill brushed across the room. My hair stood on end. I frowned. Something… is here.

“What is it?” I whispered.

“Danger is always nearby, Shivika,” Flixxi said, her glow dimming slightly, serious now. “The villain… they watch, waiting for mistakes. You may sense them before you see them. Trust your instincts and your illusions.

My chest tightened, a mix of excitement and fear. I’m not just practicing for fun… this is real. Someone dangerous is out there.

I focused again, forming a tiny glowing fox. It pranced around my desk and froze, as if alert. Flixxi… are we ready for them?

“Soon,” Flixxi said, eyes sparkling with mischief and wisdom. “But first, mastery of your power. The world will come to test you, Shivika. And when it does, you will need every skill, every illusion, and every ounce of courage.”

I nodded, gripping my wrist where the infinity charm rested. My heart was pounding. Magic, danger, a secret villain… and me, ready to face it all.

“Let’s keep going,” I whispered. “I want to get stronger.”

“That’s the spirit,” Flixxi said, spinning around me in a tiny whirlwind of sparks. “The journey has only begun, and your adventure… is just starting.”

I nodded, gripping my wrist where the infinity charm rested. My heart was pounding. Magic, danger, a secret villain… and me, ready to face it all.

“Let’s keep going,” I whispered.

“That’s the spirit,” Flixxi said, spinning around me in a tiny whirlwind of sparks. “The journey has only begun, and your adventure… is just starting.”

Suddenly, the door creaked open.

“Shivika! What’s all that noise?”

I froze. My glowing illusions hovered around my desk, flickering softly. My heart skipped a beat.

“Oh… um…” I stumbled over my words, trying to think fast. “I… I just fell,” I said, forcing a small laugh. “Clumsy me.”

Navisha narrowed her eyes but didn’t say anything else. “Okay… just… be careful,” she muttered, turning and walking away.

I exhaled slowly, letting my body relax. That was too close. Flixxi flickered beside me, a little spark of amusement in her light.

“Well done hiding your secret,” she whispered. “Secrecy is as important as your magic. Now… back to practice. Danger waits for no one, Shivika.”

I nodded, smiling nervously. My hands tingled, my illusions hovered, and I knew—this was only the beginning.
