Astra - Queen of the Time Web

Chapter 1: The Broken Gate of Time

The night was unusually quiet.

The stars were in the sky, but there was something strange about them—as if they were slowly moving… or perhaps breathing.

Astra stood on her terrace.

She had her phone in her hand, but her eyes kept drifting to the sky.

“Why does everything feel so strange today…” she muttered to herself.

The cold wind suddenly picked up.

The tree branches began to sway violently.

And then—

A bright crack appeared in the middle of the sky.

As if someone had ripped through the darkness of the night.

Astra was left breathless.

“This…what is this?”

Blue and golden light emanated from the crack. It slowly expanded… and then began to form a circular shape.

A door.

The door of time.

Astra's steps began to move automatically.

Her heart was pounding—fear and excitement at the same time.

"No... I shouldn't go near..." she stopped herself.

But there was something... pulling her.

Like a voice... that only she could hear.

"Astra..."

She suddenly stopped.

"Who called?"

No answer.

Just that glowing door.

And then—

A strong gust of wind blew.

Astra lost her balance.

"Ah!"

And the next moment—

she was pulled straight into that light.

Everything started spinning.

Time... as if it were breaking.

Different scenes flashed all around her—

Old fortresses...

War...

Fire-breathing dragons...

And a girl... who looked exactly like her.

"This... is me?" she thought terrified.

Then suddenly—

Everything went dark.

When she opened her eyes...

She was lying on the ground.

There was soft grass below.

The scent of soil and flowers filled the air.

But this place… wasn't her world.

Astra slowly woke up.

"Where am I…?"

Before her was a dense forest.

The trees were so tall that they touched the sky.

A pale blue light emanated from their branches.

As if the trees were alive.

"Is this… a dream?"

Suddenly—

There was a movement in the bushes.

Astra's heart pounded again.

"Who's there?"

There was no answer.

But the voice was getting closer.

Slowly… slowly…

And then—

A huge black wolf emerged.

Its eyes were red.

Its teeth were stained with blood.

Astra's feet froze.

"This… this is real…"

The wolf growled.

And then it ran towards her.

"No!"

Astra began to retreat.

But there was nothing behind her.

Just darkness.

The wolf was now just a few steps away.

Just then—

A bright light appeared before her.

"Wait!"

A small figure floated in the air.

An angel.

Her wings were glowing.

There was a strange power in her eyes.

"This is no ordinary human," the angel said, looking at the wolf.

The wolf paused for a moment... then slowly retreated.

And disappeared into the darkness.

Astra was still trembling.

"That... what was that?"

The angel turned to her.

Her smile was mysterious.

"This is just the beginning for you."

"What do you mean?"

Astra asked fearfully.

The angel came closer to her.

"You didn't come here by mistake, Astra."

Astra's heart stopped.

"How do you... know my name?"

The angel's eyes grew brighter.

"Because... I've been waiting for you."

"What?"

"For centuries."

The air suddenly grew heavy.

The forest light grew brighter.

"Who are you?" Astra asked.

The fairy bowed slowly and said, "My name is Luma."

"And you…"

She paused.

Then she spoke slowly, but clearly, "You are the Weaver of Time."

Astra couldn't understand.

"What?"

"You belong to this world, Astra. You were queen here… long ago."

Astra's breathing quickened.

"No… this can't be true…"

"The truth is always what we fear most," Luma said.

Suddenly—

the ground began to shake.

A loud roar was heard in the distance.

The sky turned red.

"What is happening?" Astra screamed.

Luma looked up.

"There was worry on her face.

"They've come…"

"Who?"

Suddenly, a huge shadow appeared in the sky.

" Wings spread.

Spewing fire.

A dragon.

Astra's eyes widened with fear.

"This...this can't be true..."

The dragon began to descend.

Its eyes were fixed directly on Astra.

"It's looking for you," Luma said.

"Why?"

Luma took a deep breath.

"Because...you have the power within you that can save this world...and destroy it."

Astra stepped back.

"I can't do this...I'm just an ordinary girl!"

The dragon was very close now.

The air became hot as fire.

Luma grabbed its hand.

"Now is not the time to run, Astra."

"So what should I do?!"

Luma's eyes sparkled.

"Remember...who you are."

Astra closed her eyes.

Something was awakening inside her.

Something old...and powerful.

" And then—

A pale blue light began to emanate from her hands.

The wind stopped.

Time… seemed to slow down.

The dragon froze in midair.

Astra opened her eyes.

Her eyes were now glowing.

Luma smiled.

“This is… your true power.”

Astra looked at herself.

“This… I did it?”

But before she could understand—

The light suddenly vanished.

Time began to move again.

The dragon roared loudly.

Astra was terrified.

“What will happen now?!”

Luma looked up at the sky.

“Now… the story begins.”
