Chapter 1
Everyone was fast asleep however a certain someone was wide awake. As if planned to do something mischievous?
Peeking out slowly from the warm covers, the sudden darkness of the room greets the eyes. He started squinting to get a clear view.
He got up from his bed and tiptoed to his closet to pack his essentials and belongings. While doing all this, he would stop and check in between, if anyone was coming. Once he felt satisfied with this, he would start packing his things again.

*zips the luggage bag*
Kai was wearing a black hoodie and a black trouser, as he ruffled his messy hairs a bit.
He quietly opened the door, and secretly looked out to make sure no one was there for the very last time. He then slowly steps out from his room and locks the door behind as he went downstairs with his sneaky steps.
Then he came across his stepmother's room as the wooden door was closed giving him a surge of relief, she was sleeping otherwise he wouldn't be here and locked in his room like 'Cinderella'.
As he gripped the car keys in his hands which he stole from his step-brother and left from there not wanting to waste any seconds in this hell.
The last step in the Kai plan was how he is going to take the car out from the garage? It would definitely make noise and both of them will wake up and all of his hard work will go in vain.
Thinking that he dropped the car keys on the doorstep and decided to walk instead and find a nearby place just for a night. He is ready to spend the night on the footpath, but not in that hell house with those people who were literally planning to sell him to some random mob boss in the timeline?
All sorts of things were coming in his mind while walking but he didn't care about any of that and continuously paced to find a place where he could just stay and feel the sovereignty of freedom.
The cool winds breathed, only the calm footsteps can be heard. The light poles illuminating the paths.

I was walking aimlessly, it is my first time experiencing this. My mind was still at home, wondering if my step-mother had woken up. Did both of them found out about me? Are they looking for me now? Or are they still sleeping? *kicks a pebble*

I was so much into my thoughts that i didn't heard a car honking at me. As i kept walking and walking and—
Ears ringing, vision became blurry, breath hitched. First his palm then the shoulder touched the road. The world felt upside down for kai, thousands of thoughts rushed at once, breathing heavily.

Is this how my life is ending? I just wished for a mere freedom worse than that it would get snatched in a second?

What was my sin? *nose starts bleeding*

*shouts with the little bit energy he has left*
Blood oozing, tears kept rolling. Unable to discriminate the pain he was feeling . Was it because of the accident he had just a moment ago? or, was it from his life he has with full of suffering.
Kai was lying lifeless on that road as if forgot to react or doesn't wants too?
However, the reason that kai in this state has stopped at a little distance away.
As the person inside the car steps down unbuttoning his coat and looked at kai
He muttered something to himself and walked straight to him.
As the leather shoes stopped near Kai's head, his eyes flickered but couldn't see much.
The stranger dialed some numbers on his phone after exchanging a few words from the other side of the call, he hung up instantly.
As he took out the mask from his pocket and wore it just to not get identified, as he bends down and looked closely towards Kai.
He picked him up with a swift moment and laid him inside the back of his car and drove from there pretending as if nothing happened not an 'ACCIDENT' at all.

Chapter 2
The stranger settled kai on his bed and once again dialed a number on his phone

The strange man huffed exhaustively, standing near the edge of the bed and looked back to check on the person.
He removed his overcoat, revealing an off-white shirt, loosening his tie and opening up the three upper buttons of his shirt.
He threw his overcoat on the nearby couch and was about to go towards his private closet but stopped in the middle as he heard the doorbell make a sound.
He marched towards his living room then to his door to open and welcome the familiar yet nosy face.

As the girl stomps her foot and leaves from there after giving a few more curses.
Meanwhile, Zayn walks towards the kitchen to quench his thirst.
The water moistens the dry mouth which feels like a desert.
As he puts down the empty glass on the kitchen bar and moves his steps towards the stairs and lazily to his room.
Once again he opens his room, without giving a second glance to the man lying down in his bed, hands covered in bandage and an IV drip attached to the back of his other hand.
Zayn took out his night set from his closet and went straight to his bathroom.
He stands under the shower as he removes his clothes, the water falling from the shower to his head as the droplets wets his body bit by bit. He pushed back his locks and closed his eyes and looked upward.
The jaw that was tightened with the stress is now relaxing under the cold water and the knots on the backs were also loosening.
He stood under the shower with one hand resting on the wall while the other busy massaging the back of his neck
As he comes out while wearing his night set with wet hairs.
He ruffled his hair to get rid of the excess water, then moved towards his bed and took his pillow and left the room to the guest room.
He threw himself on the soft mattress as his gave in to the exhaustion.
