My Fiancé Vs My Alpha Boss

Prologue

SECRET AFFAIR WITH THE ALPHA

(Introduction to the story )

Here comes Helena, a twenty-four-year-old woman with a bright smile, an oval-shaped face, and a voice that could charm even the coldest heart.

Everyone at her workplace loves her because of her cheerful aura. To them, Helena is always happy… always smiling.

But in reality, her life is far from perfect.

Helena lost her mother the day she was born. Her father, Mr. Samuel, later remarried a kind woman named Rachel, who gave birth to a son, Mykel. Rachel treated Helena like her own daughter, and for a while, they were a happy family.

Everything changed when a devil walked into their lives.

Her name was Elliot.

Once her father’s secretary, Elliot seduced him and eventually had a child for him. The betrayal was too much for Rachel to bear, and she filed for divorce.

Mr. Samuel left and moved into a villa with his mistress, leaving behind the broken pieces of what used to be a family.

Helena grew up hearing about the mysterious and powerful demigod, Damon Blake. For reasons she couldn’t explain, she found herself hating him more each time his name came up.

But everything changes after a fateful encounter forces them to live under the same roof…

Will Helena continue to hate him?

Or will something unexpected begin to grow between them?

This is a story of love, betrayal, and destiny.

Episode one: FAMILY REUNION

Helena’s POV

My dad called me early this morning, saying there would be a family reunion with my stepmom and stepsister. My chest sank at the thought. Those two were always a thorn in my side, yet I had no choice but to attend. I quickly dialed my friends Hana and Joyce.

“Dad called me for another family reunion,” I said. “I have to go.”

“Are you sure you’ll be okay?” Joyce asked softly. She knew the kind of torment my stepfamily could dish out.

I forced a weak smile. “Yeah… I’ll be fine.”

The day felt heavier than usual. I couldn’t stop thinking about my father—how easily he seemed swayed by my stepmom’s charm. Was it really love? Or had she bewitched him somehow? I shook my head, trying to focus. Focus, Helena. Don’t think about that now.

The restaurant was luxurious, more extravagant than I expected. Crystal chandeliers glimmered, reflecting soft golden light across polished marble floors. Waiters moved silently between tables, balancing trays of sparkling glasses and plates of food. I felt out of place among the elegance; it reminded me that my stepmom thrived on showing off wealth, while I had to carve my own way in life.

I approached the table, trying to hide my irritation. Meg’s eyes lit up with mischief.

“Oh, dear sister, how have you been surviving?” she asked, a cruel smirk playing on her lips.

I straightened my shoulders, meeting her gaze. “I’m a writer. I just got employed at Blake Holdings—that’s what I was about to say before you interrupted.”

Meg and my stepmom laughed, loud and sharp.

“Seriously, a writer? What a shameful job,” my stepmom said.

I felt heat rising to my cheeks. “HOW DARE YOU! Do you even know how much I earn? Even your daughter can’t touch it, yet she sits at home eating Dad’s money—and you’re laughing at my career?”

My father’s face fell. “STOP, Helena! Your mom was only showing concern!” he said.

I stared at him. “So you agree with her then?”

He didn’t reply. Of course, he agrees.

Suddenly, the restaurant buzzed with excitement.

“Damon Blake is here! The heir to Blake Holdings!” someone shouted.

“OMG, he’s so handsome!” another added.

I groaned. The notorious Damon Blake—handsome, arrogant, and infuriating. My friends always gushed about him, which made me hate him even more. And yet, I had to admit… he was dangerously captivating.

I was about to leave. “Dad, I have to go. Work at the office,” I said.

He waved me off. “Whatever.”

Meg, ever malicious, kicked her leg out. I stumbled into someone. Looking up… it was Damon Blake. Gasps filled the restaurant.

“I’m so sorry!” I stammered.

Before I could finish, he took my hand and guided me outside.

Dark clouds rolled in, and rain began to fall heavily. Thunder rumbled, shaking the air, and lightning split the sky. My heart raced uncontrollably. Since I was a child, I had always feared thunder—it made me feel small and helpless. My legs gave way, and I instinctively clung to Damon, pressing my face against his chest.

“Please… I don’t want to be out here… I’m scared,” I whispered, trembling.

Damon stiffened briefly, then wrapped his large hands around me in a comforting hug. “It’s okay, Helena,” he said softly. “You’re safe now. Nothing will hurt you.”

He draped his leather jacket around my shoulders, shielding me from the rain. The fear that had gripped me since childhood slowly eased in the warmth of his embrace. I whispered again, “Thank you…”

For a moment, I forgot everything—my stepfamily, my controlling fiancé, even the chaos of the restaurant. All I could feel was the safety and strength of the man holding me, and the strange, undeniable pull in my chest that told me he was more than just a stranger.

Damon’s POV

I had come to the restaurant because of Helena. She didn’t remember me, but in our werewolf lineage, mates are never forgotten. The scene inside wasn’t what I expected; her family’s cruelty was clear. When she accidentally spilled drinks, I had no choice but to guide her outside.

Seeing her trembling in the rain, clinging to me, sent a jolt through me. She’s our mate… how is this possible?

I kept her close as we walked to my car. Her small frame, her vulnerability, even the fear in her eyes—it all made me want to protect her forever. She was unlike anyone I had ever met, and I could feel the bond forming between us.

“She’s going to be mine,” I thought silently, remembering the ring she always wore. Only a few in the pack knew its secret.

When she left in a cab, I stood watching until she disappeared. My wolf stirred within me, restless and insistent. I muttered, “She’s ours. She’s mine.”

Episode two: UNEXPECTED BOSS

Helena’s POV

I couldn’t sleep. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw him…

The way his arms had wrapped around me, the warmth of his body pressing against mine.

I shook my head. No. I hate him. Or at least… I’m supposed to.

My thoughts were interrupted when my phone rang.

“Daniel ❤️” flashed on the screen.

I hesitated before picking up.

“Hello…”

“Where have you been?” His voice was sharp, cold, full of control.

“I told you, I had a family dinner,” I replied, trying to sound calm.

“And you couldn’t call me?”

I sighed. “It wasn’t a big deal.”

“It is a big deal to me, Helena,” he snapped.

I went silent.

“You’re my fiancée. I need to know where you are at all times.”

My chest tightened.

“I’m tired, Daniel. Can we talk tomorrow?”

There was a pause.

“Fine,” he said finally. “But don’t ignore my calls again.”

The line went dead. I dropped my phone on the bed and exhaled slowly.

Why did talking to my own fiancé feel so exhausting?

And why… did I feel safer in a stranger’s arms last night?

The next morning, I got ready for work. Today was important—my first official day at Blake Holdings. I couldn’t afford mistakes.

The building stood tall and intimidating. Glass walls reflected the morning sun, shimmering like a fortress.

I took a deep breath and walked in.

“Good morning,” the receptionist greeted politely.

“Good morning,” I replied, trying to sound confident.

After getting directions, I made my way to the executive floor. My heart pounded with each step.

I knocked softly.

“Come in.”

The voice… my breath hitched. No. It can’t be.

I pushed the door open slowly. And froze.

Sitting behind the large, polished desk, looking like he owned the world, was Tristan Blake.

My heart stopped.

“You?” I whispered.

He leaned back in his chair, eyes dark and unreadable.

“Miss Clumsy,” he said, a smirk forming.

Heat rushed to my face.

“I… I didn’t know—”

“That I was your boss?” he cut in smoothly.

I swallowed hard. This had to be a nightmare.

He stood up, tall and commanding. Every step toward me made my heart race.

“So… you work for me now,” he said, stopping in front of me.

“Yes, sir,” I forced out.

“Sir?” His lips twitched. “That sounds… interesting.”

I frowned, confused by his gaze. It was like he knew something I didn’t.

“Relax,” he said suddenly, stepping back. “I don’t bite.” Liar.

He handed me a file. “Your work starts now.” Our fingers brushed. A strange shock ran through me.

“Careful, Helena,” he murmured, eyes darkening. “You might get burned.”

The day dragged on. I poured over spreadsheets, reports, and endless emails, determined to make a good impression. Everything seemed to go smoothly—until Kevin, one of the senior associates, walked over.

“Hey, Helena… great work on the quarterly project,” he said, eyes glinting. “I mean… impressive.”

I smiled politely. “Thanks, Kevin. I worked hard on it.”

He leaned in slightly, voice low. “Actually, I’m submitting it under my name. You know, just formalities.”

My stomach twisted. “What? That’s my work!”

Kevin shrugged. “Don’t take it personally. Just company politics.”

I clenched my fists, forcing a calm voice. “Fine. But I’ll be watching.”

By late afternoon, the stress and tension had me craving company I could actually talk to. I decided to check on my friends at the bar where they worked.

The bar was lively, filled with music and chatter. Hana and Joyce waved me over.

“Finally! You look exhausted,” Hana said, pulling me into a hug.

“Tell me about it,” I sighed, ordering a drink.

The girls laughed, told stories, and teased each other. For a few hours, I could forget my boss, my fiancé, and my tangled life. It felt good… almost too good.

We shared secrets, silly gossip, and dreams for the future. Hana poured us another round, and we clinked glasses.

“Cheers to surviving Monday!” she joked.

“Cheers,” I replied, finally feeling lighter.

The music, laughter, and chatter made me forget the chaos in my life for just a little while. But eventually, I knew I had to go home.

I stepped outside into the quiet night, the streets glowing under the streetlights.

As I walked, a strange sound caught my attention. Rustling… snapping…

I slowed, peering into the shadows.

“Hello? Hello? Is anyone there?”

No response.

The hair on my neck stood on end. Something about the alley felt… wrong. My instincts screamed at me to leave, but curiosity pulled me closer.

Suddenly, a massive figure leapt from the darkness—a huge werewolf, eyes glowing like molten gold. Its fur bristled, and a low, guttural growl rumbled from deep in its throat.

I froze, my chest tightening. My breath came in short, shallow gasps.

“Please… don’t… hurt me,” I whispered, voice shaking.

The wolf took a step closer, its jaws snapping loudly, teeth glinting in the dim light. Its growl grew louder, almost a warning and a challenge at the same time.

My legs trembled. My heart felt like it would burst out of my chest. Every instinct screamed at me to run, but my feet felt rooted to the ground.

“I… I’m not your enemy,” I stammered, raising my hands slightly, trying to appear smaller, calmer.

The wolf’s eyes locked onto mine. It bared its teeth fully now, the growl vibrating in its massive chest, sending shivers down my spine. Its claws scraped the concrete as it stepped closer, a clear threat.

Panic surged through me. My fear of thunder since childhood felt like nothing compared to this. Every nerve in my body screamed danger.

The alley seemed to shrink around me. Shadows twisted and stretched.

The wolf lunged slightly, a warning bite snapping just inches from me, forcing me to stumble back.

I gasped, terror filling every part of me. This wasn’t just a shadow in the dark… this was a predator, fully aware, fully aggressive.

And I was completely alone.
