Inside the top floor of Cromwell Entertainment, the silence was heavy. It felt like the air had been sucked out of the room, leaving only a cold, suffocating pressure.
At the center of the room stood a man in a tailored suit.
He was shaking so hard his knees nearly gave out. Sweat dripped down his forehead, but he didn't dare reach up to wipe it away. He kept his eyes glued to the floor, terrified of making eye contact with the four men sitting before him.
Zander sat at the head of the table. He was perfectly still, staring at the man as if he were looking through a ghost.
Evander sat to his right, looking way too relaxed. He had one leg crossed over the other, his fingers laced together on his lap.
Lysander was leaning back, lazily spinning a silver pen between his fingers, looking bored.
And Hunter... Hunter was smiling. That was the scariest part.
