Prayagraj, formerly known as Allahabad, is one of India's oldest and most significant cities, situated at the Triveni Sangam—the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Sarasvati rivers. It is a major spiritual, cultural, and political hub in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Spiritual & Cultural Significance

The Sangam: The meeting point of the rivers is considered one of the holiest sites in Hinduism. Millions of pilgrims visit for a ritual bath, believed to cleanse sins and lead to salvation (moksha).

Kumbh Mela: Prayagraj hosts the world’s largest religious gathering, the Kumbh Mela, every 12 years, and the Ardh Kumbh every six years. The 2019 Kumbh Mela reportedly attracted over 200 million people.
