Episode 1: The Invitation

Rain was falling slowly, tapping against the window in a cold, steady rhythm.

Aarav sat alone in his room, staring at his phone.

3:17 AM.

The night felt unusually quiet.

No traffic.

No voices.

No movement.

Just silence.

His eyes looked tired, but his mind refused to rest. He kept scrolling without thinking, hoping something would distract him.

Nothing did.

No messages.

No notifications.

No one.

He exhaled slowly and locked his phone.

For a moment, he just sat there, listening to the rain.

Then

Ping.

The sound cut through the silence.

Aarav frowned and unlocked his phone again.

A new notification.

Unknown Sender.

“At this time?”

He hesitated for a second, then tapped it open.

Do you want to play a game?

Aarav stared at the message, then let out a small laugh.

“Seriously?”

He typed quickly.

Who is this?

The message was seen instantly.

He waited.

No reply.

A few seconds passed.

Then

This is not a joke.

The words appeared on his screen.

Aarav’s smile faded slightly.

Something about it didn’t feel right.

He typed again.

Stop messing around.

Seen.

Still no reply.

He was about to close the chat when his phone screen suddenly flickered.

Once.

Twice.

Then it went completely black.

Aarav frowned.

“Great…”

He pressed the power button.

Nothing.

He pressed it again.

Still nothing.

At the same moment, the light in his room flickered.

Aarav looked up slowly.

The bulb buzzed faintly, casting unstable shadows on the walls.

“Okay… this is getting weird.”

The light dimmed for a second, then came back.

Before he could react further

his phone turned on again.

But something had changed.

There was no lock screen.

No apps.

No icons.

No time.

Just a black screen.

In the center

a white mask.

It had no expression.

No emotion.

Just empty eyes, staring straight at him.

Aarav felt a strange chill run down his spine.

“What is this…?”

Below the mask, a word appeared.

AOL

The letters looked simple.

But they felt heavy.

Like they meant something more than they showed.

A new message appeared.

Welcome to FORMATION.

Aarav immediately tried to exit.

He swiped up.

Pressed the power button.

Tapped the screen repeatedly.

Nothing worked.

The phone didn’t respond.

It didn’t let him leave.

His heartbeat started to rise.

“You have been selected.”

Aarav swallowed.

“Selected for what?”

The reply came instantly.

To survive.

Aarav stood up from his chair.

“This isn’t funny anymore.”

His voice sounded weaker than he expected.

The air in the room felt different now.

Colder.

Heavier.

Like something had changed.

Then suddenly

the light went off.

Complete darkness.

Aarav froze.

The only thing visible now was the glow of his phone.

The white mask.

Still staring.

His breathing became louder.

Faster.

“This is just a prank… someone is messing with me…”

But deep down

he knew it wasn’t that simple.

Then he heard it.

A whisper.

Soft.

Clear.

Right behind him.

Turn around.

Aarav’s entire body went still.

His fingers tightened around his phone.

That voice…

It didn’t come from the phone.

It came from behind him.

Very close.

His heart started pounding hard against his chest.

“No…”

He whispered.

“This is not real…”

But his body wasn’t listening.

Slowly, he turned around.

The room was empty.

Nothing there.

No one.

Just darkness.

But the feeling didn’t go away.

Someone was there.

Watching him.

Standing just outside his sight.

Aarav quickly turned back and looked at his phone again.

His hands were shaking now.

“Who are you?”

No reply.

Only silence.

Then

the phone vibrated.

A new message appeared.

Game 1 begins in 60 seconds.

A timer appeared on the screen.

00:59… 00:58… 00:57…

Aarav’s breathing became uneven.

“What game…?”

He looked around his room again.

Everything looked normal.

But it didn’t feel normal.

00:45…

00:39…

00:33…

His mind started racing.

Trying to understand.

Trying to find logic.

But nothing made sense.

00:25…

A faint cracking sound came from somewhere.

Aarav turned his head quickly.

“Did I hear that…?”

00:20…

The walls looked the same.

But the sound had been real.

00:15…

His grip tightened on the phone.

“This isn’t happening…”

00:10…

The whisper came again.

Closer than before.

Don’t run.

Aarav froze completely.

His legs refused to move.

00:07…

00:06…

The air felt colder with every second.

00:05…

His heartbeat was loud in his ears.

00:04…

00:03…

He couldn’t think anymore.

00:02…

00:01…

00:00

The timer stopped.

Everything went silent.

No sound.

No movement.

For a moment

nothing happened.

Aarav didn’t move.

Didn’t breathe.

Then slowly

the screen changed.

The mask disappeared.

And something else began to appear.

Aarav stared at it, unable to look away.

His fear was no longer just a feeling.

It was real.

And whatever this was

it had already chosen him.

To be continued…

Episode 2: Truth or Fall

The screen changed.

The white mask disappeared.

For a moment, Aarav saw nothing but darkness on his phone.

Then slowly, words began to appear.

Game 1: Truth or Fall

Aarav stared at the screen, confused.

“Truth… or fall?”

Before he could understand, another line appeared.

You have 30 seconds to answer.

“Answer what?” he whispered.

The screen flickered once.

Then the question appeared.

Have you ever wished someone to die?

Aarav froze.

His mind went blank.

“What kind of question is this…?”

The timer started.

00:29… 00:28… 00:27…

His heartbeat began to rise again.

“This is stupid… I’m not playing this.”

He tightened his grip on the phone and looked away.

00:22…

The silence in the room deepened.

It felt heavier than before.

00:19…

A faint sound echoed.

Like something shifting.

Aarav slowly looked around.

Nothing.

00:16…

His breathing became uneven.

“Just ignore it…”

00:14…

The whisper came.

Soft.

Close.

Answer.

Aarav’s eyes snapped back to the screen.

“Stop this!”

00:12…

His throat felt dry.

His mind started racing.

Everyone has dark thoughts.

But admitting it?

Out loud?

00:10…

The phone vibrated sharply.

Failure to answer equals fall.

Aarav’s eyes widened.

“Fall…?”

Before he could think

a loud cracking sound came from beneath him.

He looked down instantly.

Thin cracks were forming on the floor.

Right under his feet.

“What the hell…?!”

00:08…

The cracks spread slowly.

Dust rose from the ground.

00:07…

A small piece of the floor shifted.

Aarav stepped back in panic.

00:06…

His breathing turned fast and uneven.

“This is real… this is actually real…”

00:05…

The cracks widened.

A faint darkness appeared between them.

Deep.

Endless.

00:04…

The floor trembled slightly.

00:03…

Aarav’s legs shook.

His mind stopped working.

00:02…

He didn’t want to answer.

But he didn’t want to fall either.

00:01…

“Yes!”

He shouted.

“Yes… I have!”

The timer stopped.

Silence.

The cracks stopped spreading.

The floor became still again.

Aarav stood frozen for a second.

Then his legs gave up.

He dropped to his knees, breathing heavily.

His hands were shaking.

“This… this is insane…”

His heart was still racing.

The phone vibrated again.

Truth accepted.

Aarav slowly looked at the screen.

Another line appeared.

Most people lie.

A pause followed.

You didn’t.

Aarav swallowed.

“Who are you…?”

No reply.

Only the word Seen appeared.

His breathing slowly started to calm down.

But the fear didn’t leave.

It settled deeper inside him.

Then another message appeared.

Round 2 will begin shortly.

Aarav’s eyes widened.

“Round 2…?”

“This was just the first…?”

He tried to stand up, but his legs felt weak.

He looked around the room again.

Everything looked the same.

Walls.

Furniture.

Door.

But nothing felt safe anymore.

“You can’t do this… let me out!”

His voice echoed in the room.

No answer came.

Only silence.

Then suddenly

the lights flickered.

Once.

Twice.

Then turned on again.

Aarav blinked.

For a second, everything looked normal.

Too normal.

He took a slow breath.

“Maybe it’s over…”

But deep inside, he knew it wasn’t.

The phone vibrated again.

A new message appeared.

Look around you.

Aarav frowned.

“What?”

He slowly turned his head.

Everything looked the same.

Nothing unusual.

“Very funny…”

Then

something felt wrong.

He looked at the wall.

There was a mirror.

But the reflection…

wasn’t moving exactly with him.

Aarav froze.

His heart skipped a beat.

He slowly raised his hand.

In the mirror

his reflection moved.

But a second late.

“What…?”

Cold fear ran through his body.

“That’s not possible…”

He stepped closer to the mirror.

His reflection stared back at him.

But its expression…

was different.

Slightly off.

Aarav’s breathing became heavy.

“This is not real…”

Then suddenly

his reflection smiled.

A slow, unnatural smile.

Aarav stepped back instantly.

“No…”

The phone vibrated again.

Round 2 is ready.

Aarav looked at the screen with fear in his eyes.

“Stop this…”

No response.

Only one final line appeared.

You cannot escape the game.

Aarav stood there, shaking.

Now he understood.

This wasn’t just a game.

It was control.

Fear.

Mind.

Everything.

And AOL…

was watching every second.

To be continued…

Episode 3: The Reflection Game

Aarav stepped back from the mirror, his breath heavy and uneven.

“This… this isn’t real…”

But the reflection didn’t match his fear.

It stood there.

Calm.

Smiling.

Watching him.

The room felt colder than before, like the air itself had turned against him.

His phone vibrated.

Aarav looked down with shaking hands.

Round 2: Reflection Game

Rules will be explained.

Aarav looked back at the mirror.

The reflection was now completely still.

No smile.

No movement.

Just staring.

“What do you want from me…?” he whispered.

The phone lit up again.

Rule 1: Do not look away from the mirror.

Aarav frowned.

“What?”

Rule 2: The reflection may not always be you.

Aarav’s heart dropped.

Rule 3: If you lose track… you lose control.

A pause.

Rule 4: Survive for 3 minutes.

Aarav swallowed.

“That’s it…?”

The final line appeared.

Game starts now.

A timer appeared.

02:59… 02:58… 02:57…

Aarav slowly turned back toward the mirror.

His reflection was normal again.

Copying him perfectly.

Same breathing.

Same fear.

“Okay… okay… I just have to stand here…”

02:40…

The silence grew heavier.

Every second felt longer.

His eyes started to strain.

But he didn’t blink.

Didn’t look away.

02:25…

Something felt wrong again.

Aarav noticed it slowly.

The reflection’s breathing…

was slightly off.

A fraction slower.

“No…”

02:10…

He leaned closer.

The reflection leaned too.

But not perfectly.

Just slightly delayed.

His heartbeat increased.

01:58…

“Focus…”

He whispered to himself.

“It’s just a trick…”

01:45…

The reflection suddenly stopped blinking.

Aarav blinked.

But the reflection didn’t.

It just stared.

Unmoving.

Unnatural.

Aarav’s throat went dry.

01:30…

“This is not normal…”

He tried to stay calm.

Tried to ignore it.

But he couldn’t.

01:20…

The reflection slowly tilted its head.

Aarav didn’t move.

“Don’t…”

His voice trembled.

“I didn’t do that…”

01:10…

The reflection smiled again.

Slowly.

Wider than before.

Too wide.

01:00…

Aarav stepped back.

But remembered the rule.

Do not look away.

He forced himself to keep staring.

His eyes were starting to burn.

00:50…

The reflection raised its hand.

Aarav didn’t.

“What…?”

His breath became unstable.

00:45…

The reflection touched the mirror from inside.

Its fingers pressed against the glass.

Aarav stepped back instinctively.

But didn’t look away.

“No… no…”

00:40…

A faint cracking sound appeared.

Not from the floor this time.

From the mirror.

00:35…

A thin crack spread across the surface.

Right where the reflection’s hand was.

00:30…

Aarav’s heart was pounding.

“This can’t happen…”

00:28…

The reflection pushed harder.

The crack grew deeper.

00:25…

The glass slightly bent.

From the inside.

00:22…

Aarav’s breathing became rapid.

“If it comes out…”

00:20…

The reflection’s smile widened.

Almost unnatural.

00:18…

The crack spread further.

00:15…

Aarav’s eyes filled with fear.

“Stay focused…”

00:13…

The reflection suddenly stopped.

Completely still again.

The crack stopped spreading.

00:10…

Silence.

00:09…

Aarav didn’t move.

00:08…

His heartbeat echoed in his ears.

00:07…

The reflection stared at him.

00:06…

No movement.

00:05…

The timer neared its end.

00:04…

Aarav’s legs felt weak.

00:03…

“Almost…”

00:02…

The reflection suddenly spoke.

Without sound.

Its lips moved.

Aarav read them.

“Switch.”

00:01…

Aarav’s eyes widened.

“What"

00:00

The timer stopped.

Everything went silent.

The reflection froze.

The crack disappeared.

The mirror returned to normal.

Aarav gasped and stepped back.

“It’s over…”

He looked at the phone.

Round complete.

He let out a shaky breath.

But something felt wrong.

Very wrong.

Slowly

he looked back at the mirror.

His reflection stood there.

Still.

Normal.

But…

it didn’t move when he moved.

Aarav froze.

“No…”

He raised his hand.

The reflection didn’t.

It just stared.

A cold realization hit him.

“That’s not me…”

His breath became shallow.

“Then… where am I?”

The phone vibrated again.

A new message appeared.

Did you really win?

Aarav’s eyes widened.

“What do you mean…?”

Another line appeared.

Check again.

Aarav slowly looked at the mirror.

The reflection smiled.

The same unnatural smile.

And this time

it spoke.

Clearly.

“You looked away.”

Aarav shook his head.

“No… I didn’t…”

“You did.”

The reflection stepped closer to the glass.

“You lost control.”

Aarav stepped back in fear.

“Stay away…”

The phone vibrated again.

Penalty will be applied.

Aarav’s heart dropped.

“Penalty…?”

The lights in the room flickered violently.

The air became heavy.

Hard to breathe.

Then

everything went dark again.

Complete darkness.

Aarav couldn’t see anything.

Only his phone.

Glowing faintly.

Then

a whisper.

Not from behind.

Not from the phone.

From everywhere.

“You’re not alone anymore.”

Aarav turned around in panic.

“Who’s there?!”

No answer.

Then

he felt it.

A presence.

Right next to him.

Breathing.

Cold.

Slow.

Aarav froze.

His body refused to move.

His mind screamed.

Run.

But he couldn’t.

The phone lit up again.

Round 3 loading.

Aarav’s eyes filled with fear.

“This isn’t stopping…”

Another message appeared.

You are adapting well.

A pause.

But not enough.

Aarav clenched his fists.

“What do you want from me?!”

No reply.

Only silence.

Then

the final message appeared.

AOL is watching.

Aarav looked around the darkness.

His fear turned into something deeper.

Something worse.

Understanding.

This wasn’t just a game.

It was control.

It was psychological.

It was personal.

And it was only getting harder.

Somewhere

beyond the darkness

someone was watching him.

Learning.

Waiting.

And enjoying every second of it.
