Kim Luna was known for two things.

Her simplicity… and her brilliance.

Always sitting by the window, always scoring the highest marks, always quietly living in her own world—Luna never tried to stand out.

It had already chosen someone.

Kim Taehyung.

Taehyung was everything Luna was not.

Confident. Popular. Untouchable.

He walked through school like nothing could reach him, his cold eyes never lingering on anyone for too long. Girls admired him. Some even confessed.

But he never cared.

Not once.

His world was small—just him, Jimin, and Jungkook.

“Luna, you’re staring again,” Sana teased, nudging her.

Luna quickly looked away. “I’m not!”

Sana laughed.

Sana—Luna’s best friend—was the complete opposite of her.

Smart, beautiful, and effortlessly popular. She could talk to anyone, charm everyone… except the one person she truly liked.

Jungkook.

Jungkook was kind.

Too kind.

The kind of person who smiled at everyone, helped everyone, and never made anyone feel left out.

Including Luna.

They had been friends since middle school.

“Luna, did you finish the assignment?” JK asked, dropping into the seat beside her.

“Of course,” she smiled.

Sana watched from a distance.

Her heart tightening just a little.

Because no matter how close she stood—

Jungkook always seemed closest to Luna.

And then… there was Jimin.

The boy who noticed everything.

The boy who laughed easily, spoke gently, and stood just behind the spotlight.

Because Jimin liked Luna.

One afternoon, everything began to change.

The class buzzed with excitement.

Names were called out one by one.

“… Kim Taehyung and Kim Luna.”

The room fell silent for a second—

Then exploded.

“What?!”

Luna froze.

Taehyung didn’t react.

But Jimin…?

Jimin’s smile faded just slightly.

After class, Luna stood awkwardly in front of Taehyung.

Working with Kim Taehyung wasn’t easy.

At first, Luna thought it would feel like a dream.

But reality was… different.

“Redo this,” Taehyung said, sliding her notebook back without even looking at her.

Luna blinked.

“Is something wrong with it?”

“It’s not good enough.”

His tone wasn’t harsh—just cold. Distant.

Still, Luna nodded.

“Okay… I’ll fix it.”

Days passed like that.

Short conversations. Long silences.

Luna tried her best—not to impress him, but to keep up with him.

And slowly… something began to change.

One evening, the classroom was almost empty.

Luna was still there, rewriting their project neatly.

Taehyung, who had already packed his bag, paused at the door.

“…you’re still here?”

Luna looked up, surprised.

“I wanted to finish this properly.”

He walked back, glancing at her work.

This time—

He didn’t criticize.

“It’s better,” he said.

Just two words.

But for Luna, it felt like the biggest compliment.

From that day, Taehyung started staying back too.

Not always talking.

But not leaving either.

Meanwhile, Jimin noticed everything.

The way Luna smiled more.

The way Taehyung waited for her.

The way they walked out of class together

Jungkook’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

Jimin laughed softly. “Is it that obvious?"

Jungkook shrugged. “Only to me.”

Jimin looked away.

“… I was going to tell her.”

“Then why didn’t you?”

Jimin’s eyes drifted to Luna—

Laughing softly at something Taehyung said.

“Because I think I’m already too late.”

Sana wasn’t doing any better.

She had finally gathered the courage to talk to Jungkook alone.

“JK… can we talk?”

“Of course,” he smiled.

Her heart raced.

This was it

“I—”

Before she could finish, Jungkook spoke again.

“Actually, I wanted to ask you something.”

She froze.

“What is it?”

“Do you think Luna likes Taehyung?”

The words hit harder than anything.

Sana forced a smile.

“…why?”

“I don’t know,” he said thoughtfully. “They’ve been spending a lot of time together.”

She nodded slowly.

“Yeah… I think she does.”

Jungkook smiled.

“Then I hope it works out.”

And just like that—

Sana’s confession disappeared before it was even heard.

Back in the classroom, something unexpected happened.

Luna dropped her pen.

As she bent down to pick it up, Taehyung did too.

Their hands touched.

For a brief second—

Everything felt still.

Luna quickly pulled back. “Sorry!"

Taehyung didn’t say anything.

But his gaze lingered.

On her.

That night, Taehyung couldn’t focus.

Her voice.

Her smile.

The way she tried so hard… not for herself, but for them.

It was different.

She was different.

The next day, something even more surprising happened.

“Luna,” Taehyung called.

She turned, slightly nervous.

“…let’s go eat together.”

Her eyes widened.

“Together?”

He nodded.

“Yeah.”

From across the hallway—

Jimin saw it.

And this time…

He didn’t smile.

Sana saw it too.

And beside her, Jungkook simply said,

“They look good together."
