chapter 01
Thakur Mansion, Rajasthan
A wave of frantic excitement rippled through every corner of the grand Thakur Mansion. Servants hurried about their tasks with practiced urgency, transforming the opulent estate into a vision of splendor. The entire mansion had been adorned like a bride awaiting her groom — draped in vibrant marigold garlands, shimmering fairy lights, and fragrant floral arrangements. It felt as though a grand celebration was imminent, as if someone of great importance was about to arrive.
Mrs. Sakuntala Devi, the undisputed matriarch and eldest member of the Thakur family, oversaw every detail with sharp precision. All arrangements moved according to her commands.
Mrs, Sakuntala devi
(Bahu saari tayyari ho gyi ve log aate hi honge, aaj kayi saalo baad mera beta aa raha hai. Dekho kuch reh na jaye. Mujhe kuch bhi garbad nhi chahiye,)
(Bahu, have all the preparations been completed? They should be arriving any moment now. After so many years, my son is finally returning home. Ensure nothing is out of place. I will not tolerate even the slightest error.")
Nalini
Nalini:"Yes, Maaji. Everything has been arranged perfectly. The puja thali is ready, and all arrangements are complete."
Mrs. Nalini, the eldest and most composed daughter-in-law of the family, responded with quiet grace.
Mrs, Sakuntala devi
Very well," she declared in a stern, authoritative voice. "I want no mistakes today."
The servants continued their bustling duties — some in the kitchen, others carrying baskets of fresh flowers. Suddenly, one of the flower-bearing attendants collided with a tall, imposing figure.
I'm sorry, Chote Shahab! I didn't see you coming. It won't happen again," the servant stammered, visibly terrified.
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
Stared down at him with cold, unforgiving eyes.
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
"Rudra Thakur does not forgive mistakes easily," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "You are fortunate this is your first offence. Consider yourself pardoned — this once."
The servant bowed deeply and fled from the scene as quickly as his legs would allow.
Just then, a warm, affectionate voice echoed through the hall.
Mrs, Sakuntala devi
"Ah, look who has arrived — my king, my beloved son!"
Mrs. Sakuntala Devi rushed forward and lovingly kissed Rudra's forehead.
Mrs, Sakuntala devi
"How many times have I told you, Rudra? Never leave without meeting me first. You know very well that I cannot sleep peacefully until I have seen your face."
Rudra smiled, a rare softness touching his otherwise sharp features.
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
"My dear Dadi, what am I to do? Your own son refuses to let me live in peace. The entire responsibility of the office rests on my shoulders these days."
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
He glanced around at the lavish decorations and raised an eyebrow.
"By the way, why is the mansion decorated so elaborately? Is there a wedding taking place?"
Mrs, Sakuntala devi
Mrs. Sakuntala :"Did I not tell you, beta? My long-lost son is returning home today. All of this is to celebrate his homecoming."
"It seems Rudra Bhai is about to be replaced soon. Dadi's love is clearly shifting towards someone else."
Siddharth (rudraskah's Little brother)
Sid:"You always take all the love for yourself. Can't you leave even a little for me?"
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
Rudra: "No need to burn with jealousy, little brother. Accept your place. As long as you remain the younger one, there will be no competition."
Outside the mansion, a sleek black luxury car glided to a halt. Mrs. Sakuntala Devi hurried forward with the sacred puja thali, her hands trembling with emotion as she performed the aarti.
Mrs, Sakuntala devi
"After so many years... you have finally returned," she whispered, her voice breaking. She pulled her son into a tight embrace, tears streaming down her face. "Did you not miss your mother even once?"
rajiv
Rajiv: "Maa, not a single day passed when I did not think of you. I missed everyone — you, Bade Bhaiya, the entire family.
Mrs, Sakuntala devi
"I feared I would leave this world without seeing my son again."
Rajiv and his family touched Mrs. Sakuntala Devi's feet in respect. Warm greetings and emotional welcomes filled the grand foyer.
Manjit (rudraksha's father
"Bhai, after so many years... forgive me. I was wrong back then. I should not have acted the way I did. But now that you are here, everything will be fine."
Manjit (rudraksha's father
"Come, Rajiv. You must be exhausted after such a long journey. Freshen up first. We shall all sit together for refreshments. The servants will take your luggage to your rooms."
Minnie (ansh's little sis)
Minnie: "Ansh Bhaiya, look at this house! It's like a royal palace — a real haveli of kings and queens!"
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
"You're right, Minnie. This place is enormous. I'm already feeling like a wealthy heir."
Minnie (ansh's little sis)
"They said the servants would bring our luggage, but I think I should check the rooms myself." With a playful grin, she darted off.
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
"Wait, Minnie! You'll get lost!" Ansh called after her, shaking his head. "Shiv ji... this mansion is so vast. If she gets lost, finding her will be nearly impossible. I wonder how these people even navigate it."
As he wandered through the corridors searching for her, his eyes suddenly fell upon an unusually dark room. Curiosity drew him inside.
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
Ansh: "Hey Shiv ji... where have I ended up now? This place feels so strange — everything is pitch dark."
He stumbled forward and collided hard with something solid and unyielding.
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
Ouch! Who placed a rock in the middle of the room?"
A deep, commanding voice cut through the darkness.
Who are you? And what are you doing here?"
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
Startled, Ansh opened his eyes — only to find himself trapped in a pair of strong arms, pressed firmly against a hard, muscular chest. Before he could react, a firm hand gripped his waist.
"Ahh! What are you doing? Let me go!" Ansh struggled desperately.
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
But the stranger only tightened his hold... and then, without warning, kissed him forcefully.
Chapter 02
Startled, Ansh's eyes flew open. Before he could draw another breath, powerful arms yanked him forward, crushing him against a rock-hard chest. A firm, unyielding hand gripped his waist possessively.
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
Ahh! What are you doing? Let go of me!" he gasped, panic surging through his veins.
He struggled desperately, twisting in the stranger's iron hold, but the man only leaned closer. Without warning, he captured Ansh's lips in a forceful, dominating kiss, swallowing every protest in a single heated moment.
Suffocation gripped Ansh's chest. The stranger showed no intention of releasing him. In a surge of pure instinct, Ansh shoved him back with all his strength and delivered a sharp, resounding slap across the man's face.
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
Ansh:"How dare you!"
His breath came in ragged, frantic gasps. His knees felt dangerously weak, threatening to buckle beneath him. Without another word, he spun on his heel and fled from the dark room, heart pounding wildly.
Rudra stood frozen for a moment, one hand slowly rising to touch the stinging cheek where Ansh's palm had landed. A dark, dangerous smirk slowly curved his lips.
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
"No one has ever dared to behave with me like this before," he murmured, voice laced with dark amusement. "But you... you are something entirely different. What have you done to me? I lost control completely."
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
He let out a low, predatory chuckle.
"Little kitten, you didn't merely slap me. You have awakened the devil inside."
His eyes gleamed with wicked intent as he stared in the direction Ansh had disappeared.
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
"Run as far as you want, little mouse. The farther you flee, the sweeter it will be when you come crawling back to me on your own."
Mrs. Sakuntala Devi's face glowed with rare contentment as she looked around the long, elegantly set dining table.
Mrs, Sakuntala devi
"Today, it feels as though my family is finally complete," she said softly, her voice thick with emotion. "How wonderful it is to have both my sons beside me once again."
Manjit (rudraksha's father
You are right, Maa. Our family is whole today. By the way, where is Rudra?"
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
What is this, Dadi? Have you forgotten your favorite grandson the moment your son returned?" he teased, stepping into the room with his usual commanding presence.
rajiv
Arre Rudra, beta... you have grown so much. The last time I saw you, you were only five years old."
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
"What can I say, Uncle? Growing up was the only option available," he replied, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Manjit (rudraksha's father
Forgive him, Rajiv. Rudra has always been like this. Please don't take his words to heart."
Manjit's gaze then shifted warmly toward Ansh, who sat quietly at the table
Manjit (rudraksha's father
"Ansh must have grown quite a bit too. He hasn't said a single word yet."
rajiv
"He is a bit shy. He doesn't speak much with strangers."
Rudra smoothly took the seat directly beside Ansh. The moment he sat down, Ansh stiffened, clearly uncomfortable. He began to rise from his chair, intending to escape.
Rudra's hand shot out instantly, capturing Ansh's wrist in a firm, unyielding grip.
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
"If you dare get up from this chair," he whispered dangerously close to Ansh's ear, "I will kiss you right here in front of everyone. And you won't be able to do a thing about it. Be a good boy, kitten. Sit quietly beside me and have your meal."
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
Ansh's heart plummeted. "Hey Shiv ji... where have you trapped me? This man is terrifying. I feel like crying."
Siddharth (rudraskah's Little brother)
Rudra Bhai, you usually prefer to sit alone. What happened today? You two look quite good together. Has love finally blossomed?" he asked with a mischievous grin
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
He smirked, his eyes never leaving Ansh's flushed face. "Something like that."
Mrs, Sakuntala devi
Since both my sons have reunited today, why don't we all visit the temple? I had made a special vow, and it has finally been fulfilled."
rajiv
That is an excellent idea. We will all go with you, Maa."
Manjit (rudraksha's father
Rajiv is right. Let us all go together."
Ansh wandered through the sprawling corridors of the mansion, feeling utterly lost.
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
"I don't know what Rudra thinks of himself. He scares me so much... it feels like he could devour me whole. He sighed. And now I've forgotten where my room is again."
Suddenly, a strong hand reached out from a nearby doorway and yanked him inside the dimly lit room.
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
Ouch! What are you doing?"
Before he could protest further, a warm palm pressed firmly over his mouth, silencing him. In the next instant, Rudra pinned him against the cold wall, his tall, muscular frame caging Ansh completely.
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
"I told you, little mouse," he whispered hotly against Ansh's ear, his breath sending shivers down his spine, "there is nowhere you can run where I won't find you. The farther you go, the closer I will pull you back."
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
"Please... why are you doing this? I swear I didn't slap you on purpose. Please don't tell Papa about it."
Rudra's fingers gently traced Ansh's trembling lips, his touch deceptively soft.
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
That sharp tongue of yours never stops, does it, little mouse?"
𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
Please let me go," he begged, struggling weakly against Rudra's unyielding hold.
𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐑
His voice dropped to a dark, velvety threat. "If you don't stop crying right now... I will kiss you again."
