Author
This story is being rewritten by me again.
Author
I mean I am rewriting it on my second account.
Author
Because my first account was a draft nothing serious there
Author
But here, I will be writing the story with my real writing skills, at my first account I wrote the story just as a simple chat.
Author
This rewrite was supposed to be a novel, but then I realized that I cannot add music tracks (created by me) in the story and the mysteries of my story without music is so tasteless.
Author
So, that's why this rewrite is a chat story rather than a novel.
Author
But I will provide you all with a novel-like experience.
NOTE:–
In this story many things are changed/modified and are different from the previous story.
Prologue — SEASON 1.
SEASON NAME:– The Riddled Feelings.
He traces the royal seal on the parchment with his gloved thumb, his brow furrowing as he stares at the ink.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Another petition from Azure Serpents."
An elderly yet composed lady glides into the chambers, her Blood-dark robes whispering venomous rustling sound against the polished marble like a serpent in tall grass.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Hose-ok was always a sentimental fool, weeping for his subjects while his walls crumble into the dirt."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Demand more."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Legacy, you say? "
He asked, his corners of mouth lifted, measuring the proximity of his decision.
"The Silverleaf Crossing"
Mist clung to the pines like torn banners. Through it rode two figures, cloaks dark with dew, hooves muffled by a carpet of needles. Both wore masks
Hers was ivory porcelain, chased with thin lines of gold that traced the curve of a crescent moon across the cheek.
It hid a princess who had not been called by name in three nights, not since the palace gates closed behind her. The mask left only her eyes uncovered: azure cyan, bright and unmistakable against the gray of the forest. They held steady, watching the path ahead as though she could will it straight to the border
From beneath the mask spilled fiery red hair, and as she urged her Mare faster, it flew into the air behind her like a banner of flame, stark against the fog and the deep green forest.
Captain Nou-ren|FL's Military Captain
"Still with me?"
He asked. The leather muffled his voice, but she’d know it anywhere.
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"What do you think?"
She turned her face to him, eyes mischievously narrowed.
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"You won't get rid of me...easily"
She chuckled, softly. A voice he is desperate to hear in every eternity.
The damp fabric clinging to her curves— translucent, ruined.
Her legs wrapped around his waist, while he carried her to the cold stone wall.
She gasped as he pressed her back against the cave wall, the cold— chilling and sharp. A shiver ran through the small of her back.
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"Oh.. Nou-ren..."
She moaned, as his lips descended onto her damp and cold skin, flushed and feverish.
"Revelation Of The Condition"
King Hose-ok Shin|FL's Father
"Forgive me."
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"Father..."
She paused, for once the world seemed to be shattered, then— her lips widened slightly, forming a gummy chuckle, shaking her head.
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"Find another way to be kidding with me."
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"I trust you."
His voice was laced with grief, eyes lowered— ashamed. Couldn't bring himself to face when her undeniable trust would be broken.
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"I... I have feelings for... you"
She uttered under her trembling breath, her eyes filled with fragile hope he'd voice the same, cheeks flushed red.
Captain Nou-ren|FL's Military Captain
"Min-ha..."
He breathed her name like worship, he stepped close, excluding the royal boundaries. His hands raised up, followed to hold her shoulders, covered with the damp fabric.
Captain Nou-ren|FL's Military Captain
"Forgive me Princess."
He apologized, voice heavy with unspoken confession.
Captain Nou-ren|FL's Military Captain
"But I am bound to my oaths"
She inhaled, a breathy gasp, then exhaled.
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"Now...now you are bound to the oaths, to the duties?"
She sniffed, her lips trembling.
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"What...what about the promises you made?"
The forest swallowed sound. Only her heartbeat and the drum of hooves against wet earth marked that she still existed.
Tears streamed down her cheeks, carving hot tracks beneath the ivory mask before the wind took them. She rode faster, deeper, as if speed could outrun the word they’d pronounced in the throne room at dawn: betrothed. To a man with cold hands and a colder claim. The inevitable waited at the palace with rings and oaths and a gilded cage.
So she ran
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"They say it's inevitable..."
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"But I won't accept it..."
"Arrival At Red Pheonix Temple"
She shivered, her shoulders to nose reddened, her skin flushed, heated.— suddenly feverish and pale
Elara|FL's Maid-in-waiting & BFF
"Don't Be Worried"
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"It's overwhelming...."
Princess Min-ha Shin|FL
"Pleas... Elara...stop this..."
Her heart shattered in pieces, a year of her helplessness and defeat streamed down, as the priest announced them as "Husband And Wife" the word bitter on her heart, stung deeper as hell.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Save these tears for the departure."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"You'll need them."
He spoke, voice deep. quipping her vulnerable form .
Author
Well, this is cold "Narnia lullaby" It took me soo much time to learn this but somehow I managed to, I have created this track but don't think I am one who invented it.

Princess Consort Min-ha Seong|FL
"Frostbitten flower still gleams and glows,
Oh, make it slow, oh, let it grow, and let the breath flow.
There's a soul that still bleeds, there's a heart that still beats.
I know the price that it asks,
Just uncover this deadly mask~"
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"please... don't leave me"
He said, his voice muffled against her, lips trembling.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Stay with me..."
Princess Consort Min-ha Seong|FL
"I have made my decision"
She spoke, pushing him away. Her voice stern, eyes determined.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Let us heal together."
He extended his hand towards her, though his face flat and emotionless. Heart still aching, still throbbing, though there was still a sliver of hope laid, faded and buried.
Hesitant at first, then she raised her hand trembling from the cold.
The Gambit: A torn heart.
SEASON NAME:–
"The Riddled Feelings"
"The Gambit: A torn heart."
The Crimson Dragon's study smells of dry parchment and the faint, metallic scent of encroaching winter.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Another petition from Azure Serpents."
He traces the royal seal on the parchment with his gloved thumb, his brow furrowing as he stares at the ink.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"They plead for mercy citing exhausted granaries and the weight of Seven centuries of ash"
He stretched his long calloused arms, reclining to the backrest of the obsidian-wood chair.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"These border matters are exhausting"
He took a deep, composed breath.
Just then, an elderly yet composed lady glides into the chambers.
Her Blood-dark robes whispering venomous rustling sound against the polished marble like a serpent in tall grass.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"I heard of the letter."
He sat straightened, hearing her voice.
She took deliberate and short steps.
Stepping into His personal space, her eyes narrowing into cold, claw slits of dark intent.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Tell me"
He took a breath, pushing himself off the chair.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"It doesn't alter anything what matters now."
He took the parchment lying forgotten on the obsidian-wood table embroidered with the thrilling scales of the dragon, a stark reminder of the strength the dragons hold. Yet, failed to control.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"This"
He spoke, voice flat with exhaustion.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"This is just ash soaked in blood"
He shook the parchment in his hand, measuring its weight.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"It brings no advantage to my people"
He shook his head, tossing the azure parchment aside, it rolled off the table rim, falling down as the kingdom did,
As the wax seal releases from the splintered table rim. Like a fingernail flicking wood.
Then paper itself gives a soft
That dry papery whisper, that recalls the dry cries of the widows
One quick flutter-flap as it turns over, the corners beating like a moth's wing, just as the sliver of hope, starving people still carried.
The parchment had been on the floor for all of three seconds before her shadow covered it.
Lady Fei bent with the practiced grace of a mourner, retrieving the fallen letter. Her eyes scanned it and her mouth carved. Not a smile. A calculation.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Ji-hoon"
She said, voice silk over steel. Her nephew, King Ji-hoon, barely in his late twenties and crown-heavy, looked up from his maps.
To him she was still the aunt who told him stories of wolves
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Dear, what made you think that it doesn't bring advantage to your people?"
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"It could secure the legacy of your bloodline."
He turned back to her, facing her completely.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Seven centuries..."
He sighed at the words, exhaustion taking over him, he was too tired to think of these matters.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Seven centuries and neither of us achieved the victory."
She chuckled, stepping closer invading into his personal space, her eye sparked with a dark intent.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"The victory isn't measured by the corpses you pile, but by the legacy you secure for your house...."
Fei uttered under her breath enough for him to hear. Letting the words sit like poison on her tongue.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"I don't understand..."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"All I can think about is..."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Rest"
He added weakly, eyelids heavier, body exhausted.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"I do not desire listening to the words of Cheung-na..."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"We are at the truce."
And then it clicked, her sly grin widened, she found the new policy to scheme her dark intentions over his exhaustion.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Truce"
Fei echoed, letting the word sit like poison on her tongue. She stepped closer, letting the candlelight sharpen the hollows of her cheeks into something sly, almost pitying.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"And yet they write. Directly to you. Not the council. Not your stewards"
She unfolded the parchment one-handed, eyes never leaving his face.
The letter inside was nothing — a tedious trade dispute about wool tariffs. She knew. She’d rewritten it herself that morning and paid the courier to 'drop' it.
But Ji-hoon didn't need to know that
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"What does it say?"
He asked, though his tone said.
Fei’s face went vicious for just a flicker — a flash of teeth, a clawed narrowing of eyes — before smoothing into wounded concern.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"It says..."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"It says King Hose-ok Shin of Cheung-na sues for a deeper peace. A binding one."
Ji-hoon shook his head, dismissing her completely.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"I have no interest in these hollow talks of Hose-ok and his peace..."
The strings seemed to loosen, her clawed grip was slippering onto his exhausted form, a stark contrast against the control she held over him.
But, her face didn't fall, it lit up, coming with a new scheme.
She grinned slyly with a chuckle that was a phantom more than a laugh.
She took composed and calculated strides and walked over his back, placing her hands over his calloused shoulders.
She pushes her weight, slightly settling him down on the chair.
He sighed, tired enough not to argue, settling down onto the wood, relaxing his Crown-heavy shoulders.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"My dear."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Hmm...?"
He hummed, lips pressed together, eyes shut closed and jaw clenched.
She bent her back, leaning towards his ear, whispering venomous words.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"This isn't one of the hollow talks of Hose-ok..."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Instead... It's an ample opportunity to secure the loss of seven centuries..."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"The loss none can pay for...yet, you can avenge for..."
She paused, knowing her trickery was playing well again.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Your Father"
She added, arguably but correctly, she knew where the knife stabbed this time.
Ji-hoon's eyes snapped open, the word alone made his throat go dry, exhaustion vanishing.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Speak clearly."
Her arrow struck just where she wanted to lash it out.
She released his shoulders, straightened with a gracious moment, walking to his front, settled herself down onto the chair after him.
Her legs crossed, lips curled, and the mind triumphed.
She let the parchment drift to the table, tapping the last line she had forged.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Hose-ok always was a sentimental fool, weeping for his subjects while his walls crumbled into the dirt."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"He is ready to kneel, Nephew."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"He offers peace because he can no longer afford the cost of defiance."
He traces the letter onto the desk, his gaze darkening, he turns his face towards the long floor-length windows, jaws clenching enough to ache as he looks at the blood soaked horizon.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"It is a hollow victory, Aunt."
He sighed, still admiring the horizon with a lamenting heart.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"To conquer a mere piece of land that is already a graveyard brings no glory to my crown or people..."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"I thought you'd come up with a new strategy..."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"..."
He paused, closing his eyes briefly.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"However, it seems like your wits are dusted with the ashes of the battlefield."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"You need rest"
Her lips curled, shoulders shook with a chuckle then another and then another until it formed a coaxing, humourless laugh.
His eyes narrowed, confusion swirling in, with a dismissive glance, he looked back to the horizon weeping for centuries.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"What made you laugh?"
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Oh my heavens"
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"One finds, Ji-hoon, that you can be rather more frivolous than is necessary"
His face now turned, stern and composed as usual
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"What are you implying for?"
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Nothing than necessary."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Speak of your mind."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"I do not entertain the words merely meaning something."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"That's what I want, dear."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Do not entertain the very opportunity of victory by conquering something that merely have a palpable presence to you"
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"But to your bloodline"
She spoke with artful Countenance.
A sinister smile kept widened on her lips that quite didn't reach her eyes.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Demand more."
He chuckled this time the proximity of the words "Demand more" like ash to his throne.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"More?"
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"They didn't even have Enough."
He paused for a blink, shaking his head, expressions mocking the very essence of demanding more
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"What am I supposed to demand from a graveyard?"
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Their soil is infertile"
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"No place in land is left that isn't a grave"
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"And yet"
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"You talk of demands?"
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"It's a wonder that you are still unaware of what I talk of"
She shook her head, eyes closed and displaying specious disappointed.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"We should never misapprehend the extent of our foes..."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"For a sword can never sew the silk as needle can."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Cheung-na maybe a graveyard, yet, it holds the defiance to keep their pride."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"There's difference between defeating someone or winning someone"
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"And. We have to win over their very pride."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Not to defeat their very presence."
He took a breath, measuring the proximity of her words, he looked straight into her eyes. Perspicacious, vigilant and serene.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"What strategy do you scheme?"
Her grin widened. Satisfied
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Demand more than his life itself."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Demand what keeps his palace lighten up even in this darkest tide"
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Demand what is the only thing that can worth your presence at his doorstep."
She paused, composing before throwing her last dart.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Demand what can cost your father's life."
Her voice low, husky and menacing in a way he didn't even realized.
His eyes lighten up with a deep hue of garnet, turning porcelain red with something primal, his Draconian fangs lengthening instinctively, his dragon growling knowing he's to fall into another trap.
Red|Ji-hoon's Dragon
"𝖉𝖔𝖓'𝖙 𝖑𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖓 𝖙𝖔 𝖍𝖊𝖗"
His dragon growled, impatient.
He unheard it. Trying to calm.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Speak of the thing that can cost my loss."
He commanded, clenching his fist to calm the impatient and precipitate dragon.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"The name is quite simple."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Yet, it holds so much power."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Hose-ok's Youngest daughter."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"The Princess Min-ha Shin."
She stated the words as they weighed nothing but ashes.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Demand her to be your bride."
The words enough were enkindling something old, blurred yet, not forgotten.
The images of those innocent smiles and tiny figure displayed to his eyes, his dragon calmed.
Not growling. Purring instead, he didn't realize he was smiling.
And Fei knew what he may be thinking of.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"So, that's how you will win over him."
She spoke breaking the silence, distracting him.
He composed himself, clearing his throat.
Ji-hoon's expressions turned back stern and composed of a man of steel.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Princess Min-ha?"
He took a deep breath, before shaking his head in denial.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"No."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"I Wouldn't."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"My rivalry is to Hose-ok."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"And I refuse to involve someone innocent."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Furthermore, she's too much young for marital affairs"
She scoffs, rolling her eyes, she knew he'd refuse.
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"And Exactly. I know why are you refusing."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"You aren't refusing because she's innocent."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"But because she's something precious to your sentimental lovesick heart."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Neither you are refusing because of her age but because of you want to keep her far away from these matters of ash and blood."
He stared at her, brows ceased together.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"That is not true."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"It. Is. "
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Listen dear, you are powerful, you take their princess and brought her to your court under our watch."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"After all, she's something that already belongs to you."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Forget about the Dinghun ceremony?"
Author
I will later tell you what does Dinghun ceremony means.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"That..."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"That was just a mere facade."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"My father and Hose-ok agreed to play for the elders' sake."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"It was temporary."
He paused, his voice trembled a bit before uttering the words, it felt heavy after recalling the events of twelve years ago.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"Furthermore, we agreed to give Min-ha a choice."
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"And I merely think she do agree to marry a man who burnt her Kingdom to ashes."
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"Who do cares about her Opinions?"
Aunt Fei|ML's Aunt
"They are hollow statements, hardly matters to y—"
He stood, face etched with something firm, eyes darkened and dragon roaring resonance.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"They do matter, not to the crown but to me."
She tried to protest, knowing the strings are loosened but he silenced her with a dismissive hand.
Emperor Ji-hoon Seong|ML
"The.Talk. Ends. Here."
He bolted out of the chambers.
