Most employees had already left, their chairs pushed in, lights dimmed to half. Only a few desks were still occupied. Among them, Kim Taehyung sat in his usual place, sleeves slightly rolled up, eyes focused on the screen in front of him.
He didn’t notice the footsteps at first.

“Still here?”

Taehyung looked up.
Jungkook stood near his desk, one hand casually in his pocket, the other holding his phone. His expression was relaxed, almost bored—but his eyes were fixed.

“You stay late a lot,” Jungkook said, stepping closer

Jungkook hummed, pulling a chair from the next desk and sitting down without asking. He leaned back slightly, his gaze not leaving Taehyung.

Taehyung shifted a little in his seat, fingers pausing over the keyboard.
“You… need something?”

“No,” Jungkook replied simply.

“Just thought I’d keep you company.”
Kim Taehyung
Taehyung gave a small, polite smile, though there was a hint of confusion in his eyes. “You don’t have to. I’ll be done soon.”

“I know.”
Jungkook’s voice was calm. Too calm.
