Unbidden, I stirred awake ; A marigold hue trapping my view. I blinked multiple times to force my eyes to adjust to the flash of light that contrasted to the darkness of my eyelids. Grey stones were rooted into the ground all around me.

I shivered, the idea of death submerged a sense of horror into me. I pushed myself up, feet thumping against the dry floor. The surroundings were so unfamiliar… “Sharon Mye”, “Erika Dawning”...Names were all around me, engraved into the dark limestone. Upon one sat a weeping angel, thrown on the grave, face buried in its arms, sobbing into their gravelly skin, mourning the untimely death of what seemed to be a child. The sadness and fear now enveloped me in a tight, cold, spine-chilling embrace, clutching me like a precious gem. I tossed the feeling aside ; right now, I needed to focus on figuring out where I was.

I hauled myself off the floor, my head spinning at the fiery oranges and honey yellows that were blurring into each other, hanging off the branch, clutching to the twisting arms of wood, intertwining with others. I glanced around me…

“God Evelyn!” A man huffed “Just leave me alone already!!” He pushed past a girl, causing her to tumble to the ground. I hid behind the bronze, sharp bark of the oak tree. The girl got up, whipping her mousy brown hair back over her shoulders and looked up with a matching innocent, mousy expression…. She looked hesitant, her face ever so slightly crumbling into fear and hurt at the dismissal of the cold man’s behavior, eyes glossy. My mouth fell agape, Eyes fixed on her, She was gorgeous, Like a goddess, Her red-rimmed big eyes, spotting me, a soft gasp escaping her rosy lips.

I blushed, embarrassed at having been caught staring. She turned to the man, “Cas?!- Come back!!!! -” She turned to me as cas grumbled “who’s this?” she questioned. In response, I felt someone’s breath behind me, a grip on my upper arms, hoisting me into the air, growling in anger “Speak. Who are you?”

I turned around, and my breath hitched, His dark eyes glimmered, hatred lacing his features, he looked tense ; I don’t blame him I would be too if a random person was staring at me and my fellow person. Cas and the girl looked similar, same dark hair, long lashes, same tanned skin.

Before I could think more, he scoffed at my silence, pushing me to the ground ; The girl (whose name I presumed is Evelyn) encircled her arms around my waist, raising me to my feet, a soft, tentative smile gracing her lips. Her hazel eyes melting my fear away, She pushed my loose hair out of my face, I flushed, not used to the action. She giggled, my heart raced, and soothed the panic as though it was melting, her soft laugh made me feel safe, caressing my ears.

She turned her attention to me, her perfect tanned skin glowing in the afternoon sun, Her sweet auburn eyes fixed on the red hue travelling my face, a sweet smile fixing itself on her face, a sigh escaping her. I coughed fakely, pushing the embarrassment aside. Her expressions softened further, making the red hue wander down my neck, I gulped. I finally forced my eyes to meet hers, her green eyes trapping my own eyes in her gaze. All I could do was look back in awe…Holy shit.
