High-Level Zombies

Sa loob ng abandonadong gusali, isang anino ang makikitang nakaupo sa maalikabok, luma at sirang couch. Sobrang gulo at dumi ng kapaligiran.

Sobrang tahimik din ng lugar, tanging ang paghinga lamang ni Ashyra ang madidinig. Nakatulala ito sa hangin, malalim ang iniisip. Masasabing wala sa sarili.

*Grrrraaaa!*

Isang nakasanayan niya nang ingay ang nagpasira sa katahimikan at siyang nagpabalik sakanyang sarili sa realidad.

Ang walang kabuhay buhay na mata ni Ashyra ay tumingin sa sirang bintana ng kwartong kinaroroonan.

Parang walang gana siyang napatayo at parang napilitan pa sa pag-galaw. Nagsimula siyang naglakad palapit sa sirang bintana.

Tumingin sa labas ng bintana, isang nakasanayan niya na ding pangyayari ang makikita.

Kitang kita niya ang labas mula sa kinatatayuan niya.

Itinaas niya ang kamay at humawak sa maalikabok at lumang bookshelves sa tabi. Lumang luma na yun kaya ng mahawakan niya, bigla nalang itong gumuho.

Maingay na nagsibagsakan ang mga lumang libro sa paanan ni Ashyra ngunit hindi niya man lang ito pinansin kahit pa tinamaan na ang kaliwa niyang paa.

Napatingin lamang siya sa kamay niyang nakahawak padin sa sira ng bookshelves. Bigla ay kapansin-pansin ang pag ilaw ng isang kulay berdeng marka na parang ugat sa kamay niya na siyang nakakalat hanggang braso niya. Tinignan ni Ashyra ang marka ng walang ka emo-emosyon.

She slightly opened her lips, "Hungry again? You're greedy, Green" mahina niyang sabi at para namang nakaintindi ang marka dahil umilaw-ilaw ito.

Ashyra watched the mark and when it stopped shining she lowered her hand down. She looks down, looking at the book under her fit. She bends to pick the thing.

Nang makuha, ang lumang libro ay medyo nakabukas ito dahilan mabasa niya ang nakasulat dito.

'The year 2043, I saw them. I saw how my parents, colleagues, friends, and lover died. I already experienced the worst feeling in this world. Why did monsters do this to us? Why? I want to take revenge but I don't know how. I am just a small, weak; coward awakener. I can only watch how those people die and how those people turn, and transform into another monster.

In the year 2050, I met this girl, I think she's the person that I want to protect right now. I want to protect those monsters and survive this hellish world. I just want to survive and protect her but why? Why did everyone leave me? Why can't I have someone I love? Why has this world turned into this? Why? I hate this life... Please... I just want this suffering to end!!'

Sobrang labo na ng mga nakasulat ngunit nagawa pading mabasa ni Ashyra ito. Bigla ay isang malamig na hangin ang pumasok galing sa sirang bintana dahilan lumipat ang pahina ng hawak na libro ni Ashyra.

Kaagad na dumaan sa paningin ni Ashyra ang nakasulat sa libro. Kahit pa man na mas malala ang pagkakalabo ng mga nakasulat at kahit mukhang nasira na ito sa sobrang tagal ng panahon na lumipas, binasa niya padin ito.

'The year 2026, suddenly, an unknown virus spread in the world. Every country tried to stop this virus but even America can't control it. This virus is named Z-virus. Those who got this virus will turn into a ZOMBIE. A dead being that if you got bitten or even scratched it will turn you just like them if you didn't do something to stop the virus spreading in your body in just 3 minutes. No one knows where this virus came from but every expert; and scientist trying their best to solve it. But before the team started the experiment, a very strange and surprising phenomenon happened. Humankind awakened a supernatural power and a floating island popped up around the sky. Experts and scientists thought this was a chance but just five days past humankind started to fall. In just five days, those monsters become more aggressive and increase in numbers. Humankind is in despair, we're losing our hope then suddenly, super awakener people pop up, and they help everyone to survive. Living in this dangerous world, trying our best to help and survive but right, I forgot, when this world changes it means everything changes. I can tell, that humankind is selfish, arrogant, wicked, sinful, and immoral. One thing is sure YOU CAN'T TRUST ANYONE even your blood-related person.

In the year 2029, We live for ourselves, if you have someone you love and care then bless you. Fighting those monsters to survive, killing to survive, become stronger to survive. In group, or solo. We are out of food for those people who can't awakened superpowers. Become a leader or become a city lord, even if we're losing to those zombies, there's still a war among humankind just to save the right they want even stepping on those weak people, killing the same kind. Really, seriously, humankind is wicked. Dying, killing, stealing, lying, everything became nonsense, and everything changed.

Year 2030, humankind discovered the purpose of the floating island. It's become the goal for everyone. There's still hope. Just search the DOOR, kill or ambush the guards, and open the portal. The other side of the portals is one of those floating islands. If you are lucky to survive the fight against the guard, then you can have a whole island with a fresh forest with fresh water and air. This floating island become our paradise. I helped search these DOOR but we didn't even last a year when a battalion of zombies suddenly attacked. Why? Why did this happen? We thought this was a chance for all of us. We just want a place we can call home. Why? I lose hope. We lose hope. If ever someone can see this book, I want you to write down what happens on your days. Do the zombies disappear? Or the humankind going extinct?'

Ramdam na ramdam ang mga pakikipagsapalaran ng manunulat.

Binitiwan ni Ashyra ang libro. Tumingin siya sa sirang bintana sa harapan. Didn't move and just concentrated her sight on the broken pieces of glass that were still attached to the window. She saw herself reflecting on it. She saw what she looked like. With a green vein on her whole face, it's hard to recognize if she can still call herself a human being.

Yes, she has one head, two arms, two feet, and a whole body that looks like a human but these green vein marks are eating her whole body. This is the virus of her body, this is the one eating her.

She opened her lips whispering again, "Humankind is extinct. There's no human in this world" answering the question she just read.

The broken glass that attached to the window suddenly fell. Like slow motion, she saw her eyes reflect on it. "I'm no longer a human being"

Sinabi niya yun na para bang pinipigilan niya ang sariling maniwalang tao padin siya.

*Grrrrraaaaa grraa* another growl broke the peaceful and quiet room. Ashyra stops thinking about herself and looks seriously at the scene outside the window.

Outside the building, the whole place is already ruined, with a dark sky, a ruined building, and a gloomy city. On the ground, a battalion of creatures can be seen. They look like an ant in the long distance because of how many they are.

So many, they occupied the whole ground in the big city. Pati ang mga abandonadong buildings ay puno din ng mga nilalang nayun.

These creatures are called ZOMBIES but not normal zombies. Almost half of those monsters have color gold skin. While the other half monsters have color yellow and cyan skin. This monster doesn't have the same size. Merong malaki, maliliit, sobrang liit at malahegante sa laking mga halimaw. Lahat ng mga nilalang na ito ay matatawag ding high-level monsters or zombies.

Mula sa kinatatayuan ni Ashyra, makikita niya sa mas malayo ang umaabot sa benteng nilalang na siyang nangunguna at siyang pinaka mas malakas sa mga halimaw na nandito.

Mula sa puting mata, itim na kulay ng balat, puti o itim na buhok, iba't ibang kulay ng sungay mula sa itim, puti, pula at dilaw. This group of monsters is called superior monsters and these new creatures are the ones who replace humanity. This world become a hell with this devil, and demons living here.

Ashyra looked at them with an emotionless expression. She doesn't care how many this monster is. She was already used to this, the only thing she knew, she didn't want to die in this dirty place.

Nag simulang umakto si Ashyra, ipinatong ang isang paa sa bintana at humawak sa magkabilang gilid nito. She ready herself. Maya maya ay nagsimulang umilaw ang green veins sa braso at paa niya. Lumabas ang malakas na enerhiya.

Ang enerhiyang ito ay parang hangin na siyang nagmumula pa sa kagubatan. Kapag naamoy ito talagang masasabi mong nasa normal kang lugar.

Nakakaagaw ang inilalabas na enerhiya ni Ashyra dahilan magsimulang magkagulo ang mga halimaw sa baba. Nagsimula pang maging agresibo ang mga high-level zombies na ito. May nagsimulang tumakbo, tumalon, lumipad at umabot sa pwesto ni Ashyra. Pati nga ang mga superior monsters sa malayo ay mukhang nanabik kay Ashyra.

Bago pa man mag simulang mas magkagulo ang kapaligiran, kaagad ng sumipa patalon si Ashyra. Iniwan ang building na kinapupwestuhan niya lang kaninang gumuho at matumba dahil sa sobrang lakas ng impact na ginawa niya.

Sobrang bilis ni Ashyra at hindi pa man lumipas ang dalawang minuto, nakaabot na siya sa pwesto kung nasaan ang mga superior monsters.

Sa pag-aakala ng mga superior monsters na ito na makakatikim na sila ng masarap na pagkain, kaagad na silang nagsitakbo papalapit kay Ashyra ngunit mabilis namang umatake si Ashyra. Naging intense ang paglabas ng enerhiya sa katawan ni Ashyra at sa sobrang tindi nito ang kaninang nakakahalimuyak na amoy ay napalitan ng amoy ng kalupaan kasama na ang matinding hangin.

Mala gravity na napahinto ang mga superior monsters sa paggalaw. Hindi sila kaagad nakagalaw dahil pinapahina ang galaw nila ng gravity energy ni Ashyra.
