It was 8:38 PM, there was a storm that night everyone was cold. Nurses made hot chocolate and gave out to others! Those who didn’t want to have hot chocolate received hot coffee instead, then there was Doctor Damiano Valentino— The Golden Doctor of Golden Horizon Medical Center or G.H.M.C owned by Mr. James— A billionaire!

Doctor Damiano or Dr. Dame was known for his skills and personality. He was perfect in every-way, you might say. He was skilled, charming, rich, and like i said everything! He got the nickname Dr. Dame because of his attitude being similar with the king of dogs the “Great Dane”.

After a few moments, the hospital doors opened and rescuers were rushing in along with heavy winds because of the storm! Dr. Dame immediately got up and assisted the rescuers. June, a family member of the patient frantically said the patient got an heart-attack so suddenly!

The woman was shaking so violently out of anxiety and stress. Then, Doctor Matteo Hoffman came. He ran to the woman and quickly comforted her and gently guided her to sit in one of the hospital benches, After that he went to the patient and both him and Dr. Dame rushed the patient to the E.R! Both looked at each other while running. It was Dr. Dame’s first time seeing Dr. Matteo (Dr. Mat for short) and it was Dr. Mat’s first time going in action with Dr. Dame. I mean, he did get to see Dr. Dame a few times but this is both their first time working with each other.

Dr. Dame looks at him as they rush the patient to the E.R. He said in his sharp tone— “Who are you?” Asked by Dr. Dame

and Dr. Mat said “Dr. Mat, and who are you?” His tone was deep and serious— Like, his voice was saying “I ain’t got no time for games.”

Dr. Dame said seriously like competing Dr. Mat’s sharpness “Dr. Dame, and just to be clear this is my territory, I am known for my skills in the surgical field.”

Dr. Mat scoffed and said “Let’s see about that.” And they focused on rushing the patient to the E.R once again.

While the nurses prepped the man (patient) for surgery, Both doctors prepared also. Dr. Dame looked very serious. He was very sterile when it comes to the surgery room, very sterile he has his own standards— The Medical Center has its own standards of course, but he enhances those standards with his own way— No hair peeking, no skin exposed, fully sanitized, everything had to be flawless. Dr. Mat on the other hand was just following normal procedures. No fancy standards unlike Dr. Dame.

Once everything was prepped, they quickly got to work. The tension was thick in the room, Mid-procedure both doctors made eye contact both saying to each other “Don’t mess with me” they both had sharp eyes. Dr. Dame’s “golden boy” personality was gone. He knew, This “Dr. Mat” was no ordinary rival and based on what’s happening between them this is no ordinary rivalry too.

They continued the surgery, everyone moving in sync. The monitor will go up and down both doctors tried to keep composure because they knew “One mistake, lead to a patient’s death”. Nurse Jane, the head nurse of the hospital and was part of this surgery noticed their silent rivalry. She knew if this continued this will cause conflict in the hospital but, she stayed quiet. She will intervene if needed.

Finally, after 6 hours of surgery they finally stabilized the patient! They finished around 4:36 AM everybody was tired. Besides, the two doctors. Once the patient was brought out to rest in the recovery room, Both doctors got to the sterilization room and once everything was finished,

Dr. Mat approached Dr. Dame and gripped his shoulder and spun Dr. Dame to face him, he said sternly and coldly “This isn’t over Goldy Boy” and then he left.

Dr. Dame was speechless but once he recovered he murmured “Who even said this was over?” Then he smiles to himself after years of being in the hospital… This is the first- No, VERY first time he had a rival and he will sure this won’t end easily.

The very next day at 9 PM, it was Dr. Dame’s day off. He was chilling in his apartment, he lived alone in such a big apartment he was on his couch scrolling endless on social media. He thought to himself “should i go to the club?” after a few moments of contemplating, he got up and got dressed. He wore a navy blue polo and beige pants, he looked classy! He just wore a black belt and some simple accessories and off he goes.

He got his keys to his car and off he goes. He went to this club named “Roxes”,

Inside the club? LED Lights everywhere, group of friends drinking everywhere you look, people dancing like there was no tomorrow. Damiano passed through all of them and went to the bar he ordered Tequila Rose, his favorite. While drinking, a man sat beside him wearing a black tank top and black cargo pants. He looked familiar, his brown curly hair peeking from his beanie, his sharp jawline, his big biceps. He looked like a man straight from a fantasy then the man suddenly spoke and said,

“One whiskey, please!” And Damiano realized “Wait a damn minute! IT’S HIM!”

Then he turned to face him and he said gently yet sharp “Is that you Mat?”

Mat’s eyebrows shot up and looked at him said “Yeah and why are you here?” He said like he was super suprised! Both of them were suprised!

Their conversation continued…

“I’m here to chill but since you came that’s impossible now!”

“Me too and you don’t fit here Mr. Goldilocks!”

Damiano made an offended face his eyes frowned “You take that back Mr. Feeling-Mysterious!” Both of them were on heads-on now!

Then thank you to the bartender… he said “Gentlemen, please calm down! Both of you are here to relax so why not just respect each other okay?” They glared at the bartender which made the bartender flinch a little—

Then they look back at each other and said “Fine…” both of their voices sharp as a knife. At around 10:09 PM they bumped into each other again.. but as they promised to each other “just respect each other” so they had small talk.

“What’s your name?” - Damiano

“Matteo Hoffman, I’m from Germany, you?” - Matteo

“Damiano Valentino, from Italy.” - Damiano

And they had small talk about how they became doctors. After a while, Damiano got drunk and Matteo pulled him into a corner to make him stop drinking. But, what ended up happening is Damiano was so drunk he couldn’t process anything, and Kissed Matteo right there and there!
