My alarm went off jolting me awake. Another nightmare I thought. I had sweat running down my forehead and my clothes were drenched. Today was the start of my seventh school I have gone to in the last 3 years. I didn’t expect anything from this school it was all the same. I slowly got out of bed and had a shower. After I pulled on some worn out jeans and a baggy teshirt. Then I looked in the mirror and said to myself in a whisper “ Let’s put on a smile and get this over with.” I went down stairs and saw that the lights were still off. My mom is a doctor and had a couple of late shifts so she was still sleeping. She has been working douple ever since dad died. I quickly grab a apple for the way out of else I was going to be late for school. I slowly opened the door so it wouldn’t wake her and quietly shut it. I couldn’t move to another school my mom couldn’t afford it. This time I thought I really had to try, for her. I rode my bike to school where I only had 3 minutes to spare. Then I remembered as I was biking that on my schedule I had math as my first period. Ugh I thought to myself I suck at math. When I finally got there I looked at the big school I was standing infront off. On the top it said Brookhaven Highschool. I took a deep breath in and said to myself let’s do this. Exactly as I said that a bird flew over me and left a big shit on my teeshirt. I looked at my shirt and cursed then looked up at the bird and gave him the finger as it flew away. “ Wow great..” I said to myself then walked into the school were I was told to go to room 103 for my first class. There I stood outside the classroom not knowning when to come in or how to introduce myself. Then I heard through the door “ We will be having a new transfer student this year.” Then I opened the door and walked through standing infront of about 30 people. The teacher said “ Please go ahead and introduce yourself” Before I could say anything someone shouted “Is that a piece of shit on your shirt?” The person who said that was a guy with shimmering light brown eyes, brown chocolate hair, looked about 6 feet tall, with a muscular build, and I’ll admit he was hot. I realized I had been staring at him like a mute crazy person checking him out. My cheeks started to burn with embarrassment and when I’m embarrassed I get well a little angry. “ No” I said my checks matching a tomato “ It is magical unicorn poop.” I said with a straight face not breaking eye contact. He busted out laughing and said “ Ha! Your funny! My names Hunter he said with a smirk “ What’s your name?” This time I looked at everyone and said trying to act confident “ My names James. It’s nice to meet you all”

The teacher said “ You can go sit in the empty seat next to Hunter” Great I thought to myself. I am not a big talker and he looks like the exact opposite. I strode past all the eyes that were on me especially the girl with dark brown hair and eyes that looked like she was trying to figure me out. I ignored them and before I could sit in my seat I tripped. I let out a gasp and shut my eyes awaiting the fall but instead I landed on a firm build. When I looked up and opened my eyes I realized it wasn’t that the ground that was firm and sturdy. I looked up and saw Hunter my eyes went wide and I realized I was ontop of him! I could feel his rock solid abs through his shirt and realized that we were still not out of this position. His ears were red but he looked almost amused and said “ Wow you really fell for me” My entire face was on fire as I stood up while avioding eye contact i said “ I-I am really sorry I um tripped over something I didn’t mean to land on you” He smirk with amusement which pissed me off and said with a sad act “ I feel violated” he let out a sniffle and now he was asking for it “ Shut up.” I said my eyes with a fierce glare. Which only made him smile more. The teacher interrupted us and said “ Ahem James please take your seat” The glass started giggling as I sat down at my seat and thought to myself, This day keeps getting better and better. I chose to forget that very embarrassing incident and focus on what the teacher was saying but I couldn’t with mister hot shot staring at me! I looked at him and he gave me a wink. I cringed and he let out a chuckle and i muttered as I rolled my eyes “ So much for peaceful”

The bell had finally rang and I got through all my classes everyone had already gone home but before I could go and embrace my freedom someone tugged on my arm it was that dark haired girl that was staring at me earlier. When I looked at her up close she was really pretty. She was definitely popular that’s for sure, so what would she want from me? I looked at her and before I could speak she said “ My name is Maria!” She said with a full tooth smile, particularly beaming. I was about to introduce myself when she started rambling on “ OMG it is so nice to have a new person in the class! And I absolutely loved how you talked back to Hunter! I had to force myself not to laugh because your face was so nonchalant when you said it! Then she looked at my face and she could tell I was uncomfortable.“Sorry”she said finally letting go of my arm “ I can be a little much sometimes” she said scratching her head.“No your good, My names James it’s nice to meet you!” She looked at me strangely and said “ Wow your not hard to talk to I thought you would be since you gave off the vibe” I let out a chuckle and said “Yeah people usually get that impression” Then something caught my eye I realized she was wearing a Demon Slayer shirt. I am a little bit of a geek when it comes to anime. Suddenly I said “I love your shirt it’s my favourite anime!” She beamed and said “ REALLY !?” I nodded and she started fan girling about it when suddenly I saw Hunter in the doorway.“Hope I’m not interruping” he said leaning against the door. Maria said “Oh I Hunter! I was just talking with James” I kept my eyes on Maria and smiled because it was ackward looking at him. Then Hunter walked right up to me and said it a low voice “Can I talk to you alone” Maria looked between us and the giggled and said “ Oh I’m third wheeling! I’ll leave you two and James?” She called out I looked up and she said “ Come hang out with me soon!” I smiled and said “ Sure.” After Maria left it was just me and Hunter which was ackward because my first impression with him was an embarrassing one. Suddenly he looked straight in my eyes and said “ Okay this is going to sound werid but will you be my fake boyfriend for a bit?” I looked at him mind blown and thought to myself wtf did he just say!?? I look at him surprised and confused and said “What?? What do you mean fake boyfriend!?” He looked away and scratched his head and said awkwardly “I have a crush on Maria.” I was giving him a look to keep going “ She has a boyfriend right now so I’m asking you if you’ll be mine to make her jealous and help realize her feelings for me.” I bust out laughing and managed to say “ Okay you seem REAL sure she will fall for you” He looked at me and said “ I can make anyone fall for me” I rolled my eyes and said “ Arrogant much” he smiled and stepped closer I could feel his breath on my face. He grabbed my chin and I blushed and he stepped back and said “ See?” I huffed and said “ Trust me your not my type but your in my personal space” I said glaring at him. He ignored the comment and said “ Back to the deal. Will you be my fake boyfriend for a month to get Maria’s attention” This time I stepped closer to him and said “ What’s in it for me and why would I help you?” He crossed his arms and made yet another arrogant smile and said smoothly “I’ll give you money, $50 a week” I looked at him and thought, is he that desperate that he would pay me $50 a week!? Then I considered because I did need the money to help support my mom. I sighed and said “ Fine. We got a deal” He looked at me and said “ That was easy.” I growled and said “ I need the money okay?” He put his hands up to show he was surrendering and said “ Easy there tigger I didn’t mean it as an insult” I looked at him trying to figure him out. Then a question popped into my mind and I pointed at myself and said “ Why me thought?” He stepped closer I stepped back but there was a wall behind me. He pinned me to the wall and said “ First I like people with a temper they are easy to tease” he smirked I just rolled my eyes unimpressed. He kept talking “ Also because after that little display this morning everyone is already shipping us so it’s perfect.” That time my cheecks flushed at the feeling of his abs and my body against his. I snapped out of it pushing him away as he chuckled. He extended his hand I thought about it for a second. I need the money and I just got to pretend to be a hot boys boyfriend for a month. How hard can it be? I grabbed his hand and shook it then I looked at him sharply and said “ We are going to set some rules”
