"Where are you? Emma?"runs upstairs "where ....." Hears a cough from the storage room"Emma!" runs there and bangs open the door "Em ..."
His eyes widen in fear, his voice stops in his throat

"Em....ma?"stares at his 5 yr old sister's half dead body lying beside his mother's dead body."uh ..."covers his mouth, almost throwing up before screaming."Emma!!!"
7:00am. Noel is at home getting dressed for school

Walks downstairs, a cold facial expression."morning" passes by his motionless mother who's sitting on a chair.
Mrs may.
Her hair dishevelled, eye bags under her eyes as she speaks quietly."Noel .....I want fresh milk"

Opens the fridge and searches"milk...milk...ah, here it is ." His face expressionless."oh, it's empty".
Mrs may.
Silently "Noel ....."

Ignores the call ."I'll get you some on my way home" closes the fridge.
Mrs may.
Calls again."Noel....."

picks up a cup "Just drink this before......." turns around, a broken glass cup pointed at him.

Pointing the broken edge at Noel."why....?" yells "why can't I have fresh milk whenever I want?!"

His eyes widen as he falls backwards." M...Mom....."
Mrs may.
Moves closer"Is it because I'm such a bad mother?"tears roll down her eyes. "Is it all my fault?!" throws the cup beside Noel and it shatters."I hate this".

Closes his eyes tightly and looks away

Slowly sits back on the chair

"I..I'll be o..of then" quickly runs out.
7:30am. Noel is walking to school with Emma.

Smiling"Noel, can I swim in that nearby pool after scho....?

Interrupts" No" Hiss cold gaze fixed on hers

Frowning"why?" All my friends have been there.
Noel
Expressionless "you'll drown. If that happens, I'd kill myself."

Frowning "Noel, you're always like this." smiles and holds his arm."don't worry, I'll stay with you forever and ever!" smiles.

Closes his eyes and smiles slightly "sure....Emma".
2:00pm.Noel is sitting in class staring at the teacher, but not paying attention.

lost in his thoughts before someone opens the window beside him "H.. Haru?"
Haru.
Peeping through the window "hey, you zoning out again?"
Noel
Whispers "why are you here? Only staff and students of the school are allowed in it ."
Haru.
"I know." smiles "that's why I snuck in. Anyway, what's on your mind? Home?"

The word home felt wrong in his head. "yeah"
Haru.
"In that case, I have somewhere better to go, but it closes by 3:00pm."

"classes end by 3:00pm so maybe tomorrow"
Haru.
"what? No. Just skip the remaining classes. It won't be a problem ."

Sighs "fine" takes excuse before meeting up with Haru and leaving the school.
Haru.
Takes Noel to a nearby pool." Here it is."

"The pool Emma was talking about."
Haru.
"they say that if you Lye in it and say out all your problems, they'll disappear." smiles."perfect for you. Now....." pushes Noel into the pool.

Falls in."H...Haru?!" sighs "This is nonsensical."

"Just try." stares at his wristwatch." hey, I gotta take care of something real quick, wait for me." runs.

"Haru, wait! Emma's waiting for...." sighs." oh well, I've still got a few hours." Lyes his head back and thinks." my problems, huh? when I was 5, my dad divorced my Mom because he found out that she had a child with some other guy. Mom tried to go back to the man she cheated on dad with but he said he wouldn't take her. Now she's a psycho who takes her pain out on her kids."
The atmosphere stays silent.

Slowly drifting off into sleep." I hope..." closes his eyes. "..... Emma's okay." Falls asleep.
6:00pm. Noel wakes up and realises that it's almost night.
Noel
Gasps." Emma!" Runs back to school and meets it locked ." so she went home on her own?". Runs all the way home. " why didn't Haru come back?"
He slowly opens the door to his house.
Noel
"Hmm?" looks round. " It's quiet....too quiet." calls " Emma!" Hears a cough from upstairs.
Emma.
Inaudible " N...Noel...." coughs.
Noel
"Where are you? Emma?" runs upstairs "where ....?" hears a cough from the storage room then runs there and opens the door. "Em......" his eyes widen, his voice stops in his throat. "Em....ma?" stares at her half dead body lying beside his mother's dead body. "uh....." covers his mouth, almost throwing up before screaming. " Emma!!!"

2 days have passed . It's night and Noel is sitting beside a trash bin as he watches people pass by.
Noel
His body looking thin and pale. "Huh" shivers as the weather gets cooler and it begins to rain.

Holding an umbrella as he stares at Noel then speaks to his partner "look at him, he looks miserable, I can smell him all the way from here" laughs.

"I want to help, but he looks so filthy, I don't want him touching my umbrella" laughs and walks away .

His hair covering his face. ",Tch." silently "I hate this."
More people pass him by and make similar comments

Sighs and gets up. "I can't stay he....."
A car speeds pass him, splashing muddy water all over him.

"Uh...." frowning."These people..... they're all the same." clutches his fists. " I hate th....."
He gets distracted by the sweet aroma of the food in the restaurant beside him.
He picks up a hoodie he finds in the trash bin and wears it over his shoulder, then walks Into the restaurant.
Noel
"So ...many ... People." stands by the counter and watches the waiter drop someone's order on the counter.
Noel
"Hmm?" Realises that no one is paying attention to him. He quickly swipes the plate from the counter and turns to leave but bumps into someone and the plate falls
A mysterious man wearing a long black coat and hat stands in front of Noel

"You're not very good at that." people begin to notice them
Noel
"M...Mind your own business." He quickly tries to pick up the plate but Lanciano picks it up before him

"If you want something....." smiles deviously ".....then just take it."
Lanciano
Holds the plate up in the open, then turns around to leave the restaurant.
waiter.
"Hmm?" Notices Lanciano " Hey! You! Did you pay for that?!"
Lanciano
Ignores the waiter and continues to walk away.
waiter.
"Hey! Get back here you thief!" calls for security" security! Stop him!"
People watch as security men come in, trying to stop Lanciano from leaving.
Noel
"Uh ....." manoeuvres his way out and hides in an alley. "That guy's crazy, I shouldn't involve myself with hi....." Hears a loud CRASH sound from the restaurant. "hmm?" slowly peeps at the restaurant then spots Lanciano walking out unharmed.
Lanciano
Walks out of the restaurant, holding the plate of chicken. "hmm?" spots Noel. "there you are" walks to Noel, smiling. "You wanted this?" hands him the plate.
Noel
"How did you....?" peeps into the restaurant and sees all the security guards knocked down, unconscious. "No way" stares at Lanciano in awe. "who exactly....are you?"
Lanciano
"Me?" laughs. "no one special. Anyway, east up before you starve to death." smiles innocently.
Noel
Baffled. "why....are you doing this for me?"
Lanciano
Smiles slightly as he holds his hat. "you're a strong kid, don't let it go to waste" waves as he turns around and walks away. "see ya' kid".
Noel
"Uh...." makes up his mind then runs to Lanciano. "please be my mentor! I won't let you down!"
Lanciano
"H..Huh?" stares at Noel. "sorry kid, but I've got my own prob....."
Noel
Yells. "please!" Takes out a weird compass which has a sword cross at the top. "my Mom and sister were murdered. I need revenge!"
Lanciano
Suddenly grows serious. "where did you get this compass?"
Noel
"It's the only thing the murderer left behind"
Lanciano
"I see." thinks for a while then sighs. " Tell ya' what kid? I'll be your mentor, but in return, you'll help me rebuild my mafia gang. Sounds good?"
Lanciano
His hands in his pocket. "I used to be one of the strongest mafia bosses in Asia, till the Yakuza wiped out my entire gang with some weird device. I'm the only one left."
Noel
Mafia....boss?" A bit surprised. "I guess that explains it "
Lanciano
"This compass is Yakuza property. If you're gonna get revenge, you'll need a gang of your own, so what do you say?"
Lanciano
Smiles. "good choice, kid. Oh yeah, I haven't properly introduced myself, have I? I'm Lanciano Barzini. You?"

"I'm Noel...just Noel."
Lanciano

His face red. " wh... whatever. Let's Just go. we'll never get to Asia If we just stand here talking all day, so ...." runs ahead of Lanciano.

Smiles and shakes his head in amusement. "wait up, would ya'?"

Walking. "Emma .... I'll get strong, build my own gang, then destroy the Yakuza....." clutches his fists in anger. ".....I swear I'll avenge you!"
The sun slowly rises as they both walk away.

A huge crowd is seen gathered by a house as the head police, sir Ren, arrests an accused.

(watches the house maid prepare breakfast) I'm going to school soon, so maybe later.

They take him to court and the judge declares him guilty of murder and is sentenced to death by the electric chair.
He is now lying in his cell

( his hands cuffed to the wall) Today's the day of my execution. ( in his mind) This is really fucked up! Am I really gonna die like this?( speaks out) someone.... anyone....please save me.

(Stares at the young looking guy with tattoos, wearing black jeans, a black sweater, expensive watch, rings and shoes, who opens the cell gate.)
