V is standing on the edge of the bridge. He is blankly staring at the sea, flowing below the bridge.
The river was quiet, but his mind wasn’t. It echoed with every word his parents had thrown at him, each one refusing to sink.

He watched the water drift past as if it could take the voices with it, but they clung, louder than the current and heavier than the silence
Every word they had ever thrown at him didn’t just echo—it struck, again and again, until his chest felt less like a place for a heart and more like a wound that refused to close.
He chuckled bitterly, he hated himself for not being enough.

"Why am I not enough for them" V muttered under his breath.
There words were buried into him so deep that he no longer knew where they ended, and he began.
If only he was good enough then his parents would have also loved him.
Somewhere along the way, their voices in his mind had stopped sounding like theirs and had started sounding like his own.
HE THOUGHT IT WAS HIS FAULT FOR NOT BEING GOOD ENOUGH TO BE LOVED....
He grew up blaming himself for his miserable life....
Maybe because It was easier to believe he was broken than to believe they were.
All those words that they had thrown at him stopped sounding like truth.
He slowly closed his eyes as tears started flowing from his eyes. The memories from a few hours ago flashed in his head.
KIM DAEHYUN (V'S FATHER)
"WHY ARE YOU SO USELESS, CAN'T EVEN WALK PROPERLY"
Daehyun yelled at him, seeing the broken vase on the floor.
KIM V
"I am sorry" V said, his voice blank just like his face.
It was just a vase that fell and broke because he accidentally tripped and bumped into the table it was placed on.
But even a vase was something valuable.... It wasn't like him.... It wasn't something unwanted.
His father shouting at him for small things wasn't new for him, it was like the only familiar thing he knew in the house.
KIM SANA (V'S MOTHER)
Sana who just entered the room looks at the vase on the floor and gasp "My favorite vase" She mutters to herself. She looks up to see V standing next to it.
KIM SANA (V'S MOTHER)
"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN ALIVE" Sana yelled at him in anger, hatred clearly heard in her voice.
His heart shatters completely at her words, but his face remains completely blank.
She says it every single day, and it hurts just the same every single time.
He should have been used to it by now but something in him still breaks every single time he hears about how much they despise and hate him.
It wasn't just the words that hurts every single time, it was the way they spoke to him making his existence feel like a mistake.
All his life he only heard his parents tell him that he shouldn't be alive, that he should just die, but he never understood that if they never wanted him to live why go through so much trouble to give birth to him.
He heard it silently before, all the venom they threw his way, but today it felt like that the only thing stopping him from speaking up broke.
He don't know what was stopping him for speaking up for himself.
He felt an overwhelming amount of rage bubbling inside him, and he wasn't going to control anymore.
And so he screamed on the top of his lungs, his voice filled with the pain and the rage he has buried inside him.

"IF YOU HATE ME THIS MUCH, THEN WHY THE HELL DID YOU GAVE BIRTH TO ME"
KIM DAEHYUN (V'S FATHER)
"HOW DARE YOU SCREAM AT US, YOU BITCH" DAEHYUN YELLED.
V looked at his father with his tear filled eyes. He was done with this family, with this life, with himself, with everything. He had no will to live anymore. He just wanted his answers.
KIM V
"WHY DO YOU TREAT ME LIKE THIS"
KIM DAEHYUN (V'S FATHER)
YOU DESERVE THIS ONLY, YOU PIECE OF SHIT"
KIM SANA (V'S MOTHER)
"And you ask me why I gave birth to you"
KIM SANA (V'S MOTHER)
"Then let me tell you I never wanted to give birth to you".
KIM SANA (V'S MOTHER)
"I wanted to abort you, the second I got to know about your existence"
KIM SANA (V'S MOTHER)
"But because of your father I had to give birth to you"

"If it wasn't for him, you wouldn't be here".
Sana said all this like she was telling him about a thing she didn't wanted..
Hearing her words, V's body went numb.
All his life, he thought that he did some big mistake that he don't remember because of which his parents hates him so much.
But today he finally got to know it was never his fault, they just simply never wanted him to even exist in the first place.
Both Sana and Daehyun strode away from there with a scoff, like they hadn’t just crushed their own son's heart.
Well he kind of expected it not because they continuously tell him how much they hate him and want him to disappear every single day.
But because he, himself had spent all his childhood apologizing for being born in ways no child ever should.
V just stood there like a lifeless body, his mind numb as all he can hear was "I WANTED TO ABORT YOU THE SECOND I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR EXISTENCE"
V opens his eyes and wipes his own tears.
KIM V
"Since you want me gone, then I will fulfill your wish" V muttered as he takes a deep breath.
He always knew that they never loved him.
There was a time when he wanted them to love him like other parents love there children.
HE WISHED FOR IT FOR A VERY LONG TIME.
But later all he wanted was that there words will stop sounding like regret.
But now he wanted nothing but to fulfill there wish, he just wanted to dissappear forever.
KIM V
"I hate you both" He suddenly whispers to himself.
The 'I hate you' slipped from his lips like it was something dangerous. but no it was just something he was afraid to voice out because he knew if he did everything will be broken.
But wasn't everything already broken.... and ruined.
He moves forward and climbs the railing attached on the sides of the bridge.
He takes a deep breath as he finally jumps off the bridge and falls into the water with a loud splash.
He slowly drowned deep under the water, his body moving instinctively.
but his last breath didn't fight to stay, it just slowly slipped out like it had been waiting for permission.
After a while, His body stops moving completely.
It was a strange, gentle relief.... like the noises inside him had finally gone silent.
V had spent all his life holding himself together, this moment, his last breath, was the first time he let go.

V opened his eyes and looked around, he frowned looking at the unfamiliar surroundings.
He inhaled sharply, not from fear, but from the unfamiliar lightness in his chest that no longer carried weight he always felt.

"Where am I" He slowly sat up straight.

"Why am I still alive" He said looking at his hands shocked.
He saw an iv drip attached to his right hand and there was a bandage on the wrist of his left arm.

"Did someone saved me, that's why I am here in the hospital" He said as he sighed in disappointment.
He was glad that someone cared enough to save him but why did it still felt like a mistake.
He shook his head to clear his mind.
His focus went back to his bandaged arm.

"Well how did I end up injuring my wrist" he said looking at his bandaged wrist.
Before he could think further..
The door of his room opened, and two unfamiliar people walked inside.
"TAE TAE" one of them spoke as he hurriedly walked towards him.
The person was about to touch him, but he backed away making the other freeze on his spot.

"Who are you both" He asked, his voice was cold, his face was blank, but his eyes showed confusion.
He searched their faces for meaning, for memory, for anything but only found the unsettling absence of both.
There faces folded into confusion, then shock and then into something dangerously close to fear.
But what scared them more was the coldness in his voice.

"Hello" V said waving His hand in front of them. his voice cold.
"You....You don't remember us" Both of them asked at the same time.
His silence answered them before he could. And it was the kind of answer no one wanted to hear.

V looked at them, hoping for an introduction because he clearly don't remember them.

"I am seokjin, your elder brother and this is namjoon, your brother in law" Seokjin said as he looked at him.
V's eyes widened in shock.

Namjoon and Seokjin looked at each other and then back at Taehyung who looked like he was having an internal screaming contest.
Seokjin tapped Taehyung shoulder gently, trying his best to not scare his brother who doesn't even remember him.

"Ummmm" he rubbed his head confused as he looked at him. He don't know what he should say or what he shouldn't.
As he knows what happens in the book, but he has no actual memories of this body on the top of that he don't even recognize anyone by their faces.
There were no pictures in the book.
He only remembers the plots of the books.

Seeing his confusion and hesitation to speak, both namjoon and seokjin understood that something is seriously wrong.

Seokjin nodded his head and pressed the button placed on the table near the bed.
A doctor along with two nurses walked inside.
Namjoon told the doctor what happened and how Taehyung doesn't recognise anyone or anything.
The doctor checked him and told them that due to excessive blood loss Taehyung had temporarily lost his memories.
They both nodded and thanked the doctor and went back to Taehyung who was lying on the hospital bed.
JEON SEOKJIN
"Bear, do you feel pain anywhere" Seokjin asked as he gently creased his hairs.
Feeling the warmth of Seokjin's touch and the softness in his voice, tears started to form in his eyes, but he blinked them away.
It was the first time someone touched him without trying to hurt him… and he genuinely didn’t know how to exist inside this moment.
After living for 25 years in his original body, he never once felt an ounce of love or warmth.
And now he wondered if this was what comfort felt like, or if he was simply too unused to something so gentle that he didn't know the difference anymore.
He unknowingly leaned into Seokjin's touch making the other happy.

"I want to go home" He said, his voice a bit softer that before.

"You should help him change, I will get the discharge papers ready" Namjoon said before he walks out of the room to get the discharge papers.
After getting the discharge papers, he came back to Jeon Mansion.

Namjoon, Seokjin and V entered the mansion, V looked here and there astonished as he found the interior of the mansion beautiful.

"What are we supposed to do now" Namjoon asked Seokjin.
JEON SEOKJIN
"How would I know" Seokjin shrugged his shoulders.
JEON NAMJOON
"Are we suppose to tell him about everything that he has done"

"No need, it's better he don't remember them"

"This way he won't disturb Jungkook anymore and focus on his own future"
They were whispering to each other when V called Seokjin.

Seokjin and Namjoon looked at him as Seokjin spoke "What happened, Tae"

"How did I end up in hospital" He asked coldly, making them nervous about how to answer his question.
Should they tell him the truth or just make a fake scenario and tell him about it.
JEON SEOKJIN
"Ahhh that you.....you namjoon tell him why he was in the hospital" Seokjin said as he faked a smile to namjoon who was looking at him like he was betrayed.
V was sure that they weren't going to tell him that he tried to attempt suicide by slitting his wrist.
Just because he got to know that Jungkook is dating someone and wants to marry her.
He remembers this part from the book, the part that angered him the most.
JEON NAMJOON
"Taehyung you fell and accidentally hurt you wrist because there was a sharp object on the ground" He said whatever came in his mind.
Seokjin looked at him with an "ARE YOU SERIOUS" expression.
Namjoon smiled nervously, rubbing the back of his head.

Seokjin nodded and got up from his place. He asked V to follow him. They both reached his room. After showing V his room, seokjin walked back to the living room.
He entered the room and saw the rooms was really good and according to his taste.

The realization settled gently over him, and with it came a happiness so soft he almost mistook it for grief because he never knew what happiness felt like.

He felt a sense of relief wash over him.
He didn’t know a person could feel this relieved simply by not being unwanted anymore.
For the first time, he wanted to stop living like an apology and start living like a person.
He spent so long trying to become someone worthy of love that he forgot he was allowed to exist without earning it.

He walks towards the bed and jumps on it "Finally, let's try to sleep."
He had forgotten what it was like to lie down without bracing for memories.
He layed there, staring at the ceiling, thinking that the noise in his head will return like usual. But it didn’t. And that absence of it felt like mercy to him.
After a few minutes, he starts to feel drowsy and slowly falls asleep.
For the first time, his thoughts weren’t speaking over each other. They had simply… gone to sleep.
