"Miss Danvers please answer my question" the teacher said annoyed

"But ma'am I don't have the answer" a girl said chewing gum

"Kindly take that gum out of your mouth and tell me why you can't answer what I just explained"the teacher asked making the girl groaned. She stared at the teacher as if the answer would pop out of her face, the girl took out the gum and placed it under the desk before walking out

"See you in detention Mrs Berk"the girl said walking out

"cause that's where I'm gonna go anyways" she muttered to herself as she walked aimlessly through the hall, she headed straight to the library

"hey Lucy, aren't you supposed to be in class"the librarian asked

"Hey Mrs Williams, nah..........am having detention anyways" Lucy said as she scrolled through the shelf looking for what to read. Mrs Williams chuckles as she watched Lucy pick a book

"You will never change"Mrs Williams said

"Better that way right" Lucy shrugged taking a chair out to sit and began reading her book

"I guess it's time for my detention" Lucy said standing up and headed to class, picking her favorite sit which already had a lot of stuff designed on it"another art work to complete"

Mrs. Berk came in and sighed as she saw me, she say down and brought out a book to read while I started my design on the desk. After about an hour or so it was time for me to leave,I popped a gum in my mouth and headed home.

"Hey Grandma "I said walking past her to get water from the fridge

"Hey sweetie how was school"

"same as always"I gulped the content down

"Hope you didn't cause trouble Lucy"

" of course not Grandma trust me "

"I'll go prepare something"I said

We had our dinner and soon Grandma fell asleep while I did a little revision on what was taught today 😌 I ain't that dumb you know

                        THE NEXT DAY

I woke up and lazily stood up from bed and went to shower 🚿, I picked out a big black shirt and faded jeans , packed my silky black hair into a bun the only beautiful thing about me actually. I went down stairs to see grams preparing breakfast of a couple pancakes 🥞

"Morning Grandma"I greeted

"Hello Lucy, how was your night"

"Good " I said sitting down and placing some flap jacks on my plate

Hurry up so you wouldn't be late for school"

"it's Saturday grams"I rolled my eyes

"I knew you would forget, if not you wouldn't be up early"

"Oh............"Grandma trailed off, we heard a doorbell and she went to check it out

"Hello Lucy " I stopped chewing as I heard the familiar voice, I looked up and swallowed hard

"What are you doing here" I said coldly

"Now is that the way to talk to your mother "

"My mother died the same day my father died" I said with pure hatred looking at the woman coldly

"What do you want " I spat

She sighed before answering me

"I came to pick you up, you are going to be staying with me from now on" I stared at her in disbelief, the woman dressed in expensive red gown and red lipstick, her silky black her packed in a nice style, I wouldn't lie she's indeed beautiful

"I want you to be leaving with me from now on along with Mom of course"

"Do you think you have the right to waltz into our lives and make decisions for us,we have been living fine with out your help and definitely don't need your help right now " I yelled really pissed

"Calm down Lucy"Grandma said pleadly

"I don't agree with this"I said

"Lucy .......am trying to help here, look at the condition you're living in, I can't let my daughter live like this"

"You didn't think that way when you ran off with a rich guy after Dad's death totally forgetting about me for seven years and you come back now huh" at this point I was way pass pissed off

"I'm sorry Lucy but I'm trying to make amends"

"Lucy listen to Sera , she's still your mother after all"Grandma said

"Do it for me please Lucy"Grandma said and I sighed

"Okay fine grams"

"Then let's go " Sera said happily

"I still need to pack my things "

"But there's no need for that, I can get you new ones"

 "Do i look like I'll wear them" rolled my eyes and left to pack my bags. I did so lazily before heading outside to meet Sera and Grandma standing in front of a car

"Shall we"Sera said excited

It was like she was the most excited about this, well I'm definitely not happy about this. We got in and the car drove off

I ain't gonna lie,this house is huge, well perks of being married to one of the richest man I guess. I followed Sera into the house and instantly a lady hugged me catching me by surprise

"Oh my God, I finally get to meet my little sister, I'm Lisa by the way " Lisa said excited

"Uhm......last I remember I'm an only child"I said

"well am technically your step sister but who cares" Lisa shrieked

"Lisa,give her some breathing space will ya" a man in his late fifties said coming down the stairs" sorry dad, but I'm so excited "

" Good day Mr Albans" looking at him with disgust

" come on lucy, I'll show you to your room" Sera said

" Yes ....... The paint is to bright, I would love it to be black " i said dropping my bag on the bed

" consider it done, follow me let me show you my room,is next to your's," Lisa said pulling me towards the room next to mine.

"And this is my room" Lisa said opening the room next to mine

"Looks like a rainbow puked in it"I muttered

"Right"she giggled "come on let's go shopping"

"What for" I asked confused

"You're going to be starting Eston high on Monday you need new clothes"

"Yes you do"she replied firmly "come on let's go" she dragged me along

MONDAY MORNING

"Hurry up Lucy" Lisa yelled

"Jeez I'm coming don't be so loud" I said coming down the stairs

"Sit down Dad's gonna take you to school after breakfast" Lisa rambled on as she passed me a plate of toasted bread,cup of tea and scrambled eggs

"Good morning girls "Sera said taking a sit along with Phillip

"Good morning mom,dad" Lisa greeted

"Morning " I mumbled

"How was your night Lisa " Sera asked

"Great" she replied

"What about you Lucy " she asked and I just stared at her without replying making it awkward

"Yes Grandma" I answered and she sighed,I knew what she wanted to say but I didn't wanna hear it so I just ate my meal quietly

"Thanks for the meal"I stood up and left the dinning table , I walked out but was stopped by sera

"No" I said about to walk away

"Lucy please wait" I turned to look at my supposed mother her silky her packed in a tight ponytail tail which was the only good thing I got from her, much as I hate to admit I do like a lot like her

"Sera I'm in no mood to talk to you" I said and walked towards Mr Albans car , the driver opened the car and I got in soon Mr Albans came out and we drove out

"Lucy"

"Yes Mr Albans"

"You can drop the formalities" he said but I didn't reply

"Lucy I know you don't feel or comfortable in being my daughter but I would very much

appreciate it if you could give me a chance" he said but I still didn't respond. We soon reached Eston high and headed to the principal office and got the registration completed and Mr Albans left

The principal called a student to come show me to my class after giving me my schedule, locker password and other necessities

"Hey I'm Winnie" the girl showing me around said

"Lucy" I said popping a gum in my mouth as went in the class and sat down

"Hey new girl" a bimbo said

"What do you want Hailey " Winnie asked

"I wasn't talking to you Winnie the Pooh " Hailey said

"Do you need anything " I asked uninterested

"I get you are new around here and don't how things work but when you talk to me you don't look me in the eyes"Hailey said

Lucy, Winnie and Jessy were seated together when Hailey and her lackey's strolled along

"New girl"Hailey banged the table causing the surrounding area to go quiet

"Ugh 😩....... I'm gonna loose my appetite"Jessy whined

"Zip it know it all"Stella one of Hailey's lackey said

"Hey what's your problem"Winnie asked

"Shut up" Elaine said

"(Sigh)So what do you want Barbie doll" Lucy asked

"Walking around with heavy makeup which for the record doesn't fit you in the slightest what else can you be other than a doll" Lucy said and the whole cafeteria burst out laughing

"Oi are you broken or what, does anyone knows how to fix a broken doll cause I don't" Lucy yelled loudly for everyone to hear

Stepping into the apartment was oddly quiet

"Where's Grandma" I asked a maid passing

"At the garden ma'am" the maid said and left

"Garden?" I muttered to my self walking to the backyard "oh there's a garden here"

"Lucy you're back? How was your day" Grandma asked

"Great grandma"

"You didn't cause trouble right"

"If they come looking for it what should can I do ma"
