[Panel 1]
A wide shot of a dusty, bustling Lagos bus stop at 5:00 PM. The sun is a harsh orange. People are shoving, vendors are shouting.
SFX: HONK! VROOM! "Yaba! Obalende! Yaba Obalende!"
Ade (Internal): Lagos doesn't love you. It just tolerates you until it can find a way to make you sweat.
[Panel 2]
A yellow Danfo bus screeches to a halt. It looks like it’s held together by prayers and masking tape.
Ade: (Gasping, lunging forward) "Wait! Owa!"
[Panel 3]
Ade squeezes into the back seat. He’s sandwiched between a woman with a giant basket of frozen fish and Ada. Ada is looking out the window, wearing headphones, looking like an oasis of calm in a desert of madness.
Ade (Internal): Oh. Hello. Who is this one? Fine girl, no pimple, truly.
[Panel 4]
The bus hits a massive Lagos pothole. THUMP! Everyone jolts. Ade’s hand flies out to steady himself and lands directly on Ada’s hand on the seat rail.
[Panel 5]
Close-up: Their hands touching. A literal ZAP of yellow electricity sparks between their skin.
SFX: BZZZT!
Ada: (Jumping slightly) "Ah-ah! Do you have current in your body?"
Ade: (Stuttering) "I—I’m sorry! It’s the... static? Or maybe you’re just electric?"
[Panel 6]
Ada rolls her eyes, but a tiny smirk plays on her lips. Outside the window, an ice cream vendor on a bicycle is keeping pace with the slow-moving bus.
Ade: "You want one? To, uh, cool down the 'current'?"
[Panel 7]
Ade leans out the window, handing cash to the vendor and grabbing two "FanIce" pouches as the bus starts to speed up. He hands one to her. She looks shocked but takes it.
[Panel 8]
The conductor screams: "Underbridge! Last bus stop!" The bus doesn't fully stop—it’s a "slow-down-and-jump" situation. Ade jumps out first, stumbles, then turns to catch Ada. She lands gracefully, her hand lingering in his for a second too long.
[Panel 9]
Final Shot: The Danfo disappears into a cloud of exhaust. Ade and Ada are standing on the sidewalk, bathed in the soft, "Golden Hour" glow of the setting sun.
Ade: "So... you always zap people on the first meet?"
Ada: "Only the ones who look like they need a shock."
Episode 2: "Mr. Bag of Bricks"
[Panel 1]
The two are walking along a quieter side street. The orange sky is turning into a deep purple. Ade is carrying his laptop bag and his pride, both of which feel heavy.
[Panel 2]
Ade is trying to walk "cool," but he’s overthinking his stride. He looks like a glitching video game character.
Ade (Internal): Okay, Ade. Say something smooth. Say something that makes her want to give you her digits.
Ade (Real life): "So... do you often take that bus or was today just a special day for electricity?"
[Panel 3]
Ada giggles. It’s a nice sound.
Ada: "I take it every day. But usually, I don't have a human battery sitting next to me."
[Panel 4]
Ade sees a gutter ahead. He decides to be a "gentleman" and gestures for her to move to the inside of the sidewalk. In doing so, his laptop bag swings wildly and hits a pole. CLANG!
SFX: DONNGGG
Ade: "Ouch... I meant to do that. Testing the structural integrity of the street lights."
Ada: (Raising an eyebrow) "You’re a bit of a klutz, aren't you, Mr. Bag of Bricks?"
[Panel 5]
Ade stops walking. They’ve reached a junction where she clearly needs to turn.
Ade: "Before you go... and before I break any more government property... can I get your number? I promise my phone doesn't have a high voltage."
[Panel 6]
Ada looks at him, tilting her head. She grabs his phone. She types quickly and hands it back.
Ada: "Don't call me tonight. I'm busy washing my 'electric' hair."
[Panel 7]
She walks away, waving over her shoulder. Ade looks at the screen. The contact name says: "Princess Butterfly 🦋." * Ade: "Princess Butterfly? Wait... what’s your real name?!"
[Panel 8]
She doesn't turn back. She just disappears around the corner. Ade sighs, looking at the fake-sounding name.
Ade: "Princess Butterfly. Really, Ade? You let her give you a cartoon name."
[Panel 9]
Final Shot: Ade kicks a stone into the gutter. He misses.
Ade: "Lagos... 1. Ade... 0."
