The music thumped through the speakers as taegukk sank deeper into his thoughts. After a long pause, he suddenly spoke up,

Su-jim, who had been focused on his game, looked over in confusion.

"If they really didn't want to be together, they would've split up a long time ago. Trust me. Look at my parents, they got divorced even though they had me.
These days, having kids isn't a reason to stay in a relationship. We're not living in some old-fashioned world by customs and taboos. We're progressive now."

Su-jim rolled his eyes but didn't protest. He pulled out his phone, quickly sending a message to both his parents, he wasn't even sure whose place he was supposed to be at tonight.
That was something gukk would never understand.

They lingered in gukk's room for a little while longer until they heard the sound of tae's car pulling into the driveway.

"Looks like Papa's home. Let's go downstairs,"
**gukk said, leading the su-jim out of his room.
When they reached the living room, they found taehi, gukk's twin sister, lounging on the couch, casually scrolling through her phone with a face mask on.
But the moment she spotted her papa, she quickly set the phone aside.

Tae hung his jacket on the hook by the place and turned to her with a frown.

Catching on, gukk jumped in without missing a beat.
