Kiss Me Before The Siren

Chapter 1

NovelToon
.
.
The prison had rules.
Not the kind written on stained walls or screamed by guards carrying batons. Those rules meant nothing here. They broke every night along with bones, teeth, and promises.
No. The real rules were passed quietly between inmates like prayer.
Don’t steal from Cell Block C. Don’t touch the guard's black-market deliveries. And never—ever—look at Cell 0613 for too long.
Unfortunately for Min Jae, he had never been good at following rules.
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
Bullshits💢
He muttered, shoving past another inmate in the cafeteria.
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
You people act like he’s some fucking ghost.
Nobody answered him.
Metal trays scraped against tables. Conversations died one by one. Even the guards standing near the exit suddenly found something else to look at.
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
*laughed nervously*
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
What? Seriously?
A tattooed inmate across from him lowered his eyes immediately.
That was the first warning.
The second came when someone whispered, almost pitying—
“Stop talking.”
But Min Jae had spent his whole life mistaking fear for weakness.
He turned toward the far corner of the cafeteria.
Cell 0613 sat alone at the last table near the barred windows, untouched by the surrounding chaos. No guards hovered nearby. No inmates sat close enough to breathe the same air.
A man dressed entirely in black prison uniform leaned lazily against the chair, one tattooed arm resting on the table while the other flipped a page of a worn book.

The name moved through the prison like poison.
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
*frowned*.
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
(That was him?)
No giant bodyguards. No scars carved across his face. No dramatic f#cking introduction.
Just a man quietly reading while the dead fluorescent lights flickered above his dark hair.
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
(Pretty....) *thought stupidly*
Then Jungkook looked up.
The entire cafeteria seemed to freeze.
It wasn’t rage that made Min Jae’s stomach twist.
It was worse.
Indifference.
Jungkook looked at him the same way rich people looked at stains on expensive carpets—briefly annoyed, already bored.
Nobody breathed.
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
Fuck are you staring at? 💢
Minjae snapped, louder this time because silence made him uncomfortable.
Jungkook closed the book slowly
A guard near the entrance immediately looked away.
That was when Min Jae finally understood something was wrong.
Terribly wrong.
Jungkook stood.
Not a single chain rattled.
Not a single person moved.
He walked forward calmly, tattoos disappearing beneath rolled sleeves as inmates shifted aside without being told. Nobody wanted to stand in his path. Nobody was stupid enough
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
*swallowed hard*
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
Wait—
Jungkook stopped directly in front of him.
Up close, he smelled faintly of cigarette smoke and expensive cologne—something that did not belong inside a rotting prison.
Dark eyes dragged over Min Jae once.
Cold. Sharp. Empty.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
You’re new
Jungkook said quietly.
Minjae hated how his voice sounded worse than shouting.
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
I don’t bow to criminals *muttered*
A few inmates closed their eyes like they were already attending his funeral.
For the first time, Jungkook smiled.
It was small.
Beautiful.
And absolutely fucking terrifying.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Neither do I.
Then he walked away
That was it.
No punch. No threat. No violence.
Just footsteps fading across concrete floors.
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
*laughed shakily after a moment*
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
See? Crazy b@stards acting like he’s god or some sh/t—
“Shut up,” someone hissed immediately.
Too late.
Three guards entered at once.
Not prison guards.
Men in black suits.
Every inmate lowered their head.
One of them approached Jungkook respectfully and murmured something into his ear.
Jungkook barely reacted.
He simply wiped his fingers with a napkin before standing.
Then, for the first time since entering the cafeteria, he glanced back at Min Jae.
Not threatening.
Not angry.
A death sentence would’ve looked kinder.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Take him
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
“What—” *frowned*
The suited men grabbed him instantly.
Panic exploded through his chest.
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
Hey! What the fuck?! LET GO OF ME!
Nobody moved.
Nobody helped.
Even the guards looked terrified.
Minjae kicked violently as they dragged him toward the exit.
Lee Min Jae
Lee Min Jae
HE CAN’T DO THIS! HE’S A FUCKING PRISONER!
Jungkook opened his book again.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Exactly
He murmured.
The metal doors shut behind them.
And somewhere deep inside the prison, sirens began to scream.

Chapter 2

The screams lasted exactly forty-three seconds
After that, the prison returned to normal.
Breakfast was served at six. Fights broke out by seven. Someone got stabbed near the showers before noon. Guards pretended not to notice. Blood dried beneath boots. Life continued.
No one mentioned Minjae.
Not because they forgot him.
Because this prison buried people long before death did.
Rain hammered against the barred windows as inmates lined up for lunch, heads lowered, voices careful. Fear hung heavy in the air—thick as cigarette smoke.
Cell 0613 remained untouched.
The seat across from Jeon Jungkook stayed empty like always.
Nobody was stupid enough to sit there.
Jungkook rested his elbow lazily against the table, scrolling through a smuggled phone while untouched food sat in front of him. The prison cafeteria roared with noise, but around him existed a strange silence—as if the chaos itself avoided him.
A suited guard approached carefully.
Not nervous.
Terrified.
“There’s a visitor requesting access,” the guard said quietly.
Jungkook didn’t look up.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
And??
The man hesitated. “The warden approved it personally.”
That finally caught Jungkook’s attention.
Slowly, he lifted his eyes.
The guard nearly stepped back.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Who?
“They didn’t give a name.” Sweat rolled down the man’s neck. “But… sir…”
Sir
Even guards called him that now.
The guard swallowed hard. “The entire east entrance was cleared for him.”
Silence.
Then Jungkook smiled faintly.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
(Interesting)
Very few people in the country had enough power to shut down a federal prison entrance without warning.
And even fewer would dare walk willingly into his territory.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Where is he now?
“Meeting the mob boss.”
A sharp crack split the cafeteria.
Jungkook had crushed the metal spoon in his hand without realizing.
Around the room, inmates immediately lowered their heads.
The guard’s face went pale.
Jungkook stared at the bent silver between his fingers before speaking softly—
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
How annoying.
Meanwhile—
Outside the prison walls, black umbrellas crowded the entrance like shadows.
Rain poured endlessly over polished cars and armed men dressed in expensive black suits. Guards rushed around nervously, checking security twice, three times, four.
Because one mistake around 𝑲𝒊𝒎 𝑻𝒂𝒆𝒉𝒚𝒖𝒏𝒈 could cost lives.
The prison gates opened slowly.
A pair of leather shoes stepped onto wet concrete.
Kim Taehyung looked completely out of place inside a prison.
Elegant grey suit. Gold rings flashing beneath dim light. Dark hair. He looked as if he were attending a business meeting instead of entering one of the most violent prisons in the country.
NovelToon
Beautiful.
The kind of man who smiled while deciding whether someone lived or died.
The warden himself stood waiting nervously beside the entrance.
“It’s an honor to have you here, Mr. Kim.”
Taehyung ignored him completely.
Instead, his eyes wandered across the prison yard lazily.
Cold walls.
Watchtowers.
Snipers.
Cages pretending to be rehabilitation.
Boring.
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
Where’s the mob boss?
“This way"
As they walked through the prison corridors, silence followed him unnaturally fast. Guards straightened instantly. Inmates lowered their eyes through cell bars.
Everybody knew his face.
The Mafia King.
The Devil of Seoul.
Taehyung found the titles dramatic.
Still useful though.
They stopped outside an isolated prison cell.
Inside sat a large man covered in tattoos and panic.
The mob boss rushed toward the bars immediately.
Kang Dojin
Kang Dojin
you came...
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
*unimpressed*. You sounded desperate.
Kang Dojin
Kang Dojin
I’ll give you everything,
The man whispered urgently.
Kang Dojin
Kang Dojin
Money, territory, my ports in Busan—take it all. Just get me out before he—
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
“He?” *interrupted softly.*
Kang Dojin
Kang Dojin
The mob boss froze.
For the first time since arriving, Taehyung looked interested.
Fear changed people.
And this man—this brutal criminal responsible for hundreds of deaths—looked genuinely terrified.
Fear changed people
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
Who are you afraid of?
The mob boss glanced toward the dark prison hallway like something monstrous waited there.
Then he whispered a name.
Kang Dojin
Kang Dojin
Jeon Jungkook.
Silence.
Rain echoed against distant metal.
Taehyung smiled slowly.
Not because of the name.
But because of the fear attached to it.
A man powerful enough to turn monsters into cowards?
Now that was interesting.

Chapter 3

The rain stopped sometime after midnight
The prison did not.
Screams still echoed through the walls. Metal doors slammed. Guards barked threats they didn’t mean. Somewhere in the lower cell blocks, a man cried hard enough to sound like he was dying.
Taehyung listened to all of it quietly.
Then he lit a cigarette.
“You can’t smoke in here, sir,” the warden said nervously.
Taehyung exhaled smoke directly toward the ceiling.
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
Then stop me❄️
The warden shut up.
They walked through the upper corridor in tense silence, guards following several steps behind like frightened dogs. Taehyung’s shoes clicked sharply against concrete floors stained with years of blood and filth.
Disgusting place.
Interesting place.
Especially because everyone here seemed afraid of one man.
Taehyung smiled faintly to himself.
Jeon Jungkook.
The name had been circling his head ever since Kang Dojin nearly fucking trembled saying it.
That alone was impressive.
Dojin wasn’t weak. Men like him didn’t survive decades in the underworld by scaring easily.
Yet the moment Jungkook’s name came up, the man looked ready to beg.
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
How long has he been here? *asked casually.*
The warden stiffened immediately.
“Eight years.”
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
Eight.
Taehyung raised an eyebrow.
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
And he’s still alive?
Nobody answered.
Which was answer enough.
The elevator gates opened with a rusty screech
The warden hesitated before speaking carefully. “Mr. Kim… with all respect… it may be better if you avoid interacting with inmate 0613"
Taehyung laughed softly.
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
There it is.
The warden looked confused.
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
Fear
Taehyung slid one hand into his pocket lazily.
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
Everyone in this prison reeks of it when his name comes up.
The man swallowed hard. “You don’t understand—”
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
No, I think I do.
The elevator stopped.
Cell Block C.
The moment the doors opened, silence spread unnaturally fast.
Inmates backed away from the bars. Guards avoided eye contact. Even the air felt heavier here.
Taehyung stepped out slowly.
Then he saw it.
Cell 0613
The lights inside were dim.
One figure sat near the barred window, long fingers turning another page of a worn book
Calm.
Completely fucking calm.
As if the entire prison didn’t shake around him.
Taehyung stared for a moment longer than intended.
Pretty.
That was unexpected.
Kang Dojin described a monster.
But the man sitting inside the cell looked more like temptation carved into human form
Black prison uniform. Tattooed arms. Sharp jawline. Dark eyes hidden beneath messy hair.
Dangerous beauty.
Taehyung’s mouth curved slowly.
Interesting.
Almost as if sensing the stare, Jungkook lifted his eyes from the book.
Their gazes met through steel bars.
The corridor suddenly felt too small.
Nobody spoke.
Yet something vicious passed silently between them.
Recognition.
Not of faces.
Of nature.
Predators recognized predators.
The warden cleared his throat shakily. “Inmate 0613, this is—”
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
I know who he is, *calm*
His voice was deep. Smooth. Worse than Taehyung imagined.
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
*stepped closer to the cell.*
The guards immediately tensed.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
*noticed.*
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
*Amusement flickered briefly across his face.*
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Kim Taehyung.... *murmured, closing the book.*
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
The Mafia King himself walking into my prison.
My prison
Not this prison.
Taehyung caught that instantly
So did everyone else.
The corridor became suffocatingly silent.
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
*smiled beautifully.* I was curious.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
And now
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
Now I understand why Kang Dojin is terrified.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
*leaned back lazily against the wall.* Do you?
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
Yes.
A pause.
Then Taehyung added softly—
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
You’re not the kind of man people survive betraying.
Something dark moved behind Jungkook’s eyes.
Not anger.
Memory.
For the first time, Taehyung felt it clearly.
This man wasn’t dangerous because he killed people.
He was dangerous because he looked capable of destroying entire lives without changing expression.
Jungkook stood slowly.
The guards instinctively stepped back.
Taehyung almost laughed at them.
Jungkook approached the bars until only inches separated them.
Close enough to see the tattoos disappearing beneath his sleeves.
Close enough to notice the scar near his throat.
Close enough to feel the tension sharpening the air.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
You came all this way for a man begging for his life?..*asked quietly.*
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
*tilted his head.* Not anymore.
Jungkook’s gaze darkened slightly.
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Jeon Jungkook {JK}
Oh?
Taehyung smiled.
Kim Taehyung {V}
Kim Taehyung {V}
I think I came for you.
