Taehyung’s life had always been quiet.
A small apartment, a simple job, long exhausting days, and lonely nights, that was all his omega life had ever been.
He preferred silence anyway.
Silence was easier than disappointment.
Then one day, the apartment next door was occupied.
An eighteen-year-old alpha moved in carrying a tiny baby in his arms.
His name was Jeon Jungkook.
No wife.
No family.
No money.
Only a child wrapped carefully against his chest like the baby was the last precious thing left in his world.
The neighbors whispered cruel things through thin walls.
They said Jungkook’s lover abandoned him and ran away after giving birth.
They called him irresponsible.
Taehyung never joined them.
But every night, he heard it.
Weak at first… then louder with hunger.
Endless crying that echoed through the building until dawn.
Jungkook would walk around all night trying to calm the child, whispering soft apologies in a trembling voice.

That night, Taehyung heard desperate knocking on his door.
When he opened it, Jungkook stood there completely soaked, clutching his crying baby close to his chest.
His hands were shaking. His eyes were swollen red from exhaustion.
And before Taehyung could even speak, the alpha slowly fell to his knees.
Quiet tears mixed with the rain on his face as he begged.

Jungkook whispered brokenly, holding the baby tighter.
Just looked up with tear-filled eyes full of shame.
Then bowed deeply, forehead nearly touching wet floor, and whispered
