Across the battlefield voice of the dying soldiers echoed beyond the field, soldiers falling down, will to lose their lives for the kingdom, tearful cries of all wishing one thing but to end the ongoing war that has been going for the past five years... Great determination and strong mind carried on the mind of von de vierre soldier as they try to survive the war without the kingdom's support.

As the Duke, kharlix von de vierre charge his way through the battlefield, ready to strike down any foes within his reach, her daughter leona shouted and chasing on horseride desperately to her father that an arrow was aimed right through his heart. Because of the intensity of loudness her father did not heard or even noticed and was struck by the arrow.

Leona slowly watched her father being thrown off at the horse, she arrived where her father was and checked on him, his father muttered while slowly losing his consciousness

"you must survive my dear Leona and lead our army through victory...."

She unleashed a dreadfully wavering cry and sadness that felt by her soldiers while she slowly picked her sword, rode her horse and loudly declared

"all my soldier pick up your sword we must not allow the pride and will of our dukedom!! , our Kingdom rely on us and my fathers glory must not go to waste!,  be with me and March through victory"

The burning urges of All von de vierres soldier has been awakened by her prominent speach they charged in their enemies with pride in their heart.

After the week long battle, a long distant dessert where all soldiers laying, a quite gush of wind is all that can be heard, Leona walked her way on the opposing enemies kingdom, the sound of her footsteps scared the remaining knights standing to the the king while she unleashed a dreadful bloodlust with nothing but the ,memory of the battelfield the had so long for to put on an end.

"You the king of azerbasha had been so thorough as to play this little fun war of yours along with the foolishness of our beloved king Zeiss Crovia Von De Cradain."

"WAHAHAHA..... Play you say YES YOUR RIGHT!!! nothing is more fun than see those lowlives beg for thier lives as their food runs out...."

"YOU FILTHY KING HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT TO YOUR CITIZENS!!??

leona was so shocked when the king says the word that greatly insults citizens specially how leonia always treat her citizens as family.

"YES!! so what is it to you WAHAHAHA.... You're a merely Knight in your country you cannot decorate me WAHAHAHA...

as the king continue to laugh lerona von de vierre unleashed her sentence to the king. she draw her swords and strike down the head of the great king arzen lenardo de snaral king of azerbasha.

Leona visited her father's corpse to properly give him a graveyard place, she kneel down and bow

She uttered the words to her father's grave

"Dear father, I deeply apologize as I have failed to protect you. More than anyone else you have been protecting our people sacrificing your own life for the better of all. Do not worry as I will protect our remaining family, I will relay to mother and brother about your passing."

She said as she slowly tear down and unleashed a quiet grief. After she pay her respect she got up on her knees and leaving the grave of one dignified soldier.

Soldiers marched with leona leading the front, commoners cheering and greeting them with a heartfelt joy and gratitude. while tearful, excitement, and heart pumping lingered to the soldiers mind as they thought of returning to Thier beloved.

 "Lady Leona do you think that we may all have a drink after you pay respect to the king?" In her mind *should I ask lady Leona about her father, maybe I should not and let her go and have a time for herself...*

 "Yes, we can. Although it will be hard to do that today. I will send you a letter if I have the time, so you should go for now lieutenant Kristen El rolea."

"(Bowing and telling), Then I will be on my way lady Leona. as she think, now is not the right time for asking such questions I must vanquish my thoughts."

Leona then go on her way to the capital

She glance and look around while thinking,

*capital had change since the last time I've been here, oh well I have been on war ever since so this much is not surprising.*

People staring and glancing at her while mumbling

"Is she the war hero dear?"

"Yes she is, although Duke kharlix von de vierre, her father died, it must have been hard for her."

"You are right dear now we must go on our way."

"I know that my father died but it is not the right time to grief I need to report and relay the news to the king first..."

"King Zeiss crovia von de creadain, lady Leona von de vierre of the dukedom of von de vierre has arrived!!"

She kneel as she vowed with respect

"I had returned victorious your majesty."

(He laugh pridefully) "HaHaHa...Yes as I have heard,you did great that you lead our Kingdom in  greatness for the past five years."

"I thank you for your kind words your majesty."

"However, I heard that your father Duke kharlix had met his end at the battlefield you must have been in a hard time grieving at his grave.. to think that the war dog will die so easily."

he says as he scorned and mock her father.

She tightly gripped her hands and furious but she kept her demotion and answered,

"you are right my king, my father died with glory on his name for fighting for our Kingdom without his Majesty's government and support."

The king was infuriated and angered by her words

"Are you  opposing me the kingdoms sun, now lady Leona?"

"I dare not, your Majesty I had only uttered the words that our dukedom had experience on the past five years."

the whispering palace officials had filled the room with questions and confused mind

"Had I heard it right that his majesty did not support the dukedom of von de vierre?"

"you heard it right, how could his majesty do this thing."

"What about our funds that was handed over to support the war?."

"how did they manage to survive without his Majesty's government?."

"What about the soldiers sacrifices?."

"BE QUIET !!, we have not come to an agreement on how von de vierres troops would be acounted. all the doubt must be kept, So for now we all must remain still."

advisor Riyoko vielle ahrin leaned and whispered

"you must remain calm your Majesty, or it will only grew more than their question, and we should also discuss about lady Leona's war fee."

king Zeiss crovia gripped the corner of the throne...

"As the rewards were just about to be discuss some other time during the stellar comatrar reviews i shall now give you all the floor the banquet prepared for tonight to honor the war hero of our kingdom."

as the night of the banquet goes on leona who had been holding her anger towards the king. many had also approached her regarding how she and her comrades fare during the previews battle.

"Lady leona von de vierre do you think the king of azerbasian feel any remorse on his own countries downfall amidst all the worst thing he have done?"

"he have not at all lady freia en siaveille in fact he even dared to laugh the matter involving the battle in which he have started, it gravely furious me to think a king such as himself lead the country for how many years..."

"that king is a shame to all in my perspective now lady leona it is such a grate honor that you accomplish and managed to overcome for the past five years."

"well i cannot say that i am the only one who had ended the war so i cannot take all the praises onto myself, although i thank you for acknowledging our hardships lady freia."

"oh my it is the least i can do hahahaha...

As they talk more and more the others thought that

"how come lady freia el siavielle so comfortable talking with lady leona as she is a little bit intimidating?"

" right even though i approached her a while ago i cannot even talk properly and i stuttler for a bit.."

"well i guess the lady is not as fearsome as i have heard."

"it is the first time we encountered her afterall since she did not debute when she had turned twenty so we do not actually know her."

"then you would try approaching here too?"

"ohh no i am not that eager haha...

"i think we might have talked for qiet some time now lady leona."

"well i geuss i will come if ever the i do not have anything to do."

"thats great news then and also i wanted to be your friend to lady leona if it is alright."

*a friend huh it must be nice having someone to chat for time to time and she will be my first ever friend im so happy!!* "yes that would be fine for me."

"alright then lady leona i have kept you for too long again then goodbye until we meet again." [ bow down and showed a proper goodbye].

"haahhh.... its so tiring to be surrounded by nobles of different manner. the only exception were lady freia el siavielle. just like how she is described at the book of nobles she was so sophisticated and has a refined manner. she has a light green hair that flows like a forest when wind strike and she is flawlessly beautiful paired with a pale skin unlike me who has a manly figure. enough thinking of that so there is her upcoming tea party i must attend that."

"madam, young lord quickly the lady had returned!!!"

stella von de vierre a delecate: woman and the mother of leona von de vierre. she was once the flower of house armilla and she fall in love with the duke charles von de vierre a outstanding handsome young man and is the successor of the duchy although they faced many trials they managed to overcome and marry leading to a peacefull life.

kharlix von de vierre: the second child and is the only son of the von de vierre he is a great young man who outstand his fellow classmates even the one higher on his grade level he managee to defeat and is called the crazy genius of Von de vierre, he has high respect and expectation on his sister.

"mother, brother i have returned at long last!!"

she hug her mother and brother while gritting her lips and slightly trembling body.

"i greatly missed both of you ohh how i always pray this day to come...."

"as well as us dear we have been waiting for quite some time now and now you are once again in my grasp."

"me too sister i am so very eager to see and hug you again i missed you reading me story while i slept."

the mother and son slowly tear up...

"come nia we must have a dinner now you must have been hungry. eve tell the chef to prepare all of nia's favorite dish while we wait at the table and chat, now go."

"yes madam."

the madam walked nia to the dining table.

"now seat nia."

'yes, thank you mother."

"how have you been this past five years?"

"i am just as fine as the day i left for war mother."

"fine you say look at all the scars on your body how can you say your fine?"

"mother is right sister, you were so delicate and not befitting of fighting, i must have been older so i can go on your stead...."

"now now both of you i know you worry too much but i can't also say that i am fully fine so thank you for worrying about me, now enough of that how is your study going lix?"

"i am very good at it sis that i always come as top student as great as i am there is no need for worries hehehe."

"enough with the bragging yeah yeah you are awesome i get it hahahaha..."

"see even mother's laughing at your silliness hahaha."

"stop teasing already sister..."

"okay okay ill stop now."

"ohh yeah dear how is your father i take it that hi is still on the castle?"

the air tuirned gloomy and leona cannot meet her mothers eye full of expectation on her fathers return

"i am so sorry mother but father did not make it, he has bravely died at the midst of battle......"

"wha- what do you mean nia you must be joking right.... right... nia"

her mothers tear began to slowly flow out of her eyes while nia clenching her hands while her head seem so heavy that she cannot lift it.

"i am so sorry mother... bro- brother"

while she slowly look at her brothers way and he was so grievely devastated his face cannot be defined. she went and hugged the two. as they slowly tear up nia told the story on how her father died...

"ohh dear why must that happen to you? you even promised  me a vacation with our whole family why must you leave? wahhh i can't accept this oh dear...."

the story was so devastating that nia's courage to finish all of her task before grieviance, had crumbled....

hi dear readers i dont know if my way of writing is fine but i hope you like the first two chapter it is quite sad but theres still more to come so stay tuned and thank you for your time hehe.

"Now that father's already gone who will manage our dukedom?"

"enough it is what it is and that is the end i wont reconsider my decision and i am already set on just helping my little brother to become a fine young man."

leona left the dining table and started walking around the inside and outside of the mansion as she strolled around the garden she used to play at with her father alongside she cannot stop her tears from falling and and started having a breakdown she cried her lungs out until she cannot shed a single tears anymore.

she was about to stand up and walk through her bedroom until a maid stumbled her there sitting alone.

"oh it's you milady what brought you out here this late at knight?"

the maid leaned in  and saw her crying again.

"ohh god what seems to be the problem!!"

the maid was shocked in the scene in front of her as she had been taking care of leona since she was but a young child.

"ohh its you eve i am sorry you have to witness this embarrassing moment of mine...

"what do you mean by embarrassing it is normal because of how you, young master and the madam were feeling. even i was devastated when i heard the news of the lords passing."

"now now you must stop crying or your eyes would be puffy the next morning, you know how you have ended up like a pufferfish when you cried all night because of the birds egg that fell off the tree and you are not able to save the eggs??"

the maid joke around to ease leona's grieviance of her loss father.

"yeahh you are right eve but next time you do not need to recall that hehe."

"ohh well i think about that some other time and depends on what the situatuon is hehehe..."

"now you are just teasing me eve!!..."

"ohh yeahh i remember i am sorry i did not approach you a while ago since i am so focus on our family matter..."

"its fine milady it's not like you could do anything about that."

a chill breeze blew up as nia looked up the calm sky that cleared her chaotic mind.

"it's getting chilly now so i will escort you back to your room now, shall we go?"

she tucked up her hair flowing through the to her ears end began feeling lighter.

"yes we can go now."

as they walked by the alley the maid gently said

"it is hard to lose someone you treasure but it is harder for the one who had left because it is not only you that they left forever but also the entirity of what his life are made of, so learn on how to treasure while they are here."

She added that

"as they said it is always the beautiful flower that is always picked. so be at ease as he is now in the peace."

as eve about to end her advice they already reached the front door of leonas room. leona stayed silent as eve open the door for her and went in.

leona stood at the back of her door silently accepting her fathers death...

the next morning leona woke up early and began her patroll around the mansion she assessed how the gardeners, servants, butler, horse keeper, and the knights work.

she praised on how they are good at managing thier own work. she crossed path the horse keeper that was her childhood friend even though there are a huge difference of thier status.

"oww watch where you're going or someone might be badly hurt the next time..."

"i am so very sorry milad- lady nia is that really you?"

"ohh its you shin so you are still working here huh."

"yeah i cannot seem to leave the duchy as you might come back anytime soon, i have been waiting for your return!!!"

"me too long time no see my FRIEND!! how have you been?"

"ohh i am fine the whole time. "

*ohh a friend.. huh that hurts pretty bad...*

"i hope you have been in a good care all this time shin but just from the look of your physics i guess you are absolutely fine hehe."

" yeahh i am although look at how your body is covered in scars it must be pretty tough in the battlefield but since you are here alive and pretty well i don not have anything to worry about, ..... and uhmm i offer you my condolences lady nia...."

" thank you shin anyways i have some matter to attend to so i must go out of my way now, its nice to see you again!!."

"so he is here i were thinking on how shins been since the day of my departure i am glad he is alright."
