EP 1. Nightmare
Running footsteps are everywhere
They are everywhere... biting and tearing through skin like hungry hounds
Hyunjin runs with all his might...
Hyunjin
Please be there...
he prays silently, his breath as heavy as fog
People are shouting at him
telling him to turn around, but he can't...he can't turn around
he needs to go there... he's waiting for him.
Hyunjin makes it up to the rooftop. it's quiet and deserted

*shaking his head* No...

*calls out* Felix!!!
Hyunjin
You told me you'd wait for me here! *crying*
Hyunjin
*crying* I shouldn't have made you wait...I should have just said how I feel
Then all of the sudden...a low groan, when he turns around, he's met with a hideous sight
He's in his small apartment
Hyunjin
*sighs* Damn nightmare
Hyunjin
*runs a hand through his hair*...
He gets off the bed and walks to the window.
the view is not exciting, not new...just the same run down and worn out abandoned buildings
It has been two years since the zombie apocalypse struck and changed everything in the world. Amongst the places that were greatly affected, is a small town known as Silverfog.
Silverfog was where the zombie apocalypse began and it was also where it all ended, leaving a number of zombies behind
Zombies coexist with people in Silverfog. Some zombies are aggressive while some are passive. It's hard to know, so the few humans that decided to stay in Silverfog after the evacuation, are always careful not to encounter the wrong ones
Amongst these people is Hyunjin Hwang, an eighteen years old boy who got left behind by his family during the evacuation. Now he lives alone in an abandoned apartment building which he shares with an old lady who likes to make him snacks and leave them outside his door.
Back before everything he used to be the popular cool boy and every girl's dream. Now all he does is hang around at his old school's rooftop
Even when he knows that the one he's waiting for might never show up

EP 2. dead world
It's somewhere around eleven AM and Hyunjin is still asleep.
It's what he does, he sometimes sleeps for the whole day
what can he do in a world full of silence
Suddenly a knock, not a soft one but one that's loud enough to wake him up
Hyunjin
*groans*... damnit! that old lady!
He gets up slowly while muttering complaints
He walks towards the door and opens it
There's no one behind it, but there's a bow of food below
He takes it and looks across the door, towards another door
Hyunjin
*shouts* Thank you!!!
Hyunjin
*shrugs* whatever!
He's used to this. The old lady, who he calls grandma cooks for him everyday.
He met her after the evacuation two years ago.
He came to hide in the apartment building he's now living in and Grandma saw him. she took him inside her apartment and gave him food
She explained why she didn't go with the others. her reason was simple
Grandma
My whole life is here...I'd rather die here...than anywhere else
in the first days, Hyunjin stayed with her in the same apartment
But as time went and things settled, he decided to pick his own apartment since the whole building was unoccupied and there were lots of rooms to choose from
Grandma didn't protest. As long as he was going to let her do the cooking, that was fine
he puts the bowl on his small table and falls back on his bed

*groans* Boring as hell
Hyunjin
Too lazy to do anything
Hyunjin
*looks at the food* But I'm hungry...and that looks good
After some time. He finds himself dressing up and going out.
Before he can decide where he want to go
he walks to Grandma's door and knocke
Grandma
*smiles* Good morning
Grandma
you finally decided to wake up, I thought they took you in your sleep
Grandma
*studies him* Going out?
Hyunjin
*nods* Just for fresh air
Hyunjin
*nods* Just a walk
Grandma
Be careful, I heard they are getting aggressive these days
Hyunjin
And I'm just going to the rooftop
Grandma
Still, be careful... than sorry
Grandma
*nods* Stop by the supermarket and get me some vegetables
Hyunjin is about start walking away when grandma stops him
Grandma
Oh, wait ... I heard there's a group of young people at the north...why don't you relocate to that side?
Hyunjin
*starts walking* I'm fine here
Grandma
No you're not. you can't stay here forever you know...this place is dead.
Grandma
You need to go somewhere where there's company
Hyunjin
there's you and there's food

Grandma shakes her head and watches him disappear

Lee Felix used to be a sweet heartthrob
Back then, he was on the other side of Hyunjin, unlike Hyunjin who was the girls boy...he was the boys boy, too pretty that the girls didn't stand a chance...and he knew
Him and Hyunjin were not friends, they were from different schools which also happened to be rivals. they competed at everything, brains, appearance and sports
And since the two of them were the stars of each school, they were meant to naturally hate each other.
He drags his body lazily. He has been walking all the way from the north for over a month
When some relocated, he had lazily dragged himself to the north following the scent of the fresh blood of people hoping to find him
When he got there, he looked everywhere in the north for months but could not find him
That was when he decided to go back to the east of Silverfog, and as he got closer he could smell him, his fresh blood scent
And now the scent is stronger.
He lazily walks towards the supermarket, there are not many people just two or three
They look at him cautiously, trying to see if he's one of the non aggressive ones
he sniffs the air, the scent is strong. he has the urge to walk into the supermarket but he can't...even as a zombie he knows he's not allowed
Hyunjin receives the bag of vegetables with a smile
Hyunjin
*nods* Yup, as always
Jennie
*smiles* You're so lucky
Hyunjin
*sighs* though she wants me to go to the north
Hyunjin
*shakes his head* No!
Jennie
it would be good for you, you know
Hyunjin
If it is good then why are you still here?
Jennie
*looks away* You know I can't ...my whole family ...*breaks off*
Hyunjin pats Jennie's shoulder.
Jennie's family died in Silverfog that day. not from turning into zombies but from an accident when they were trying to escape

Sorry, I didn't mean to...
Jennie
*shakes her head* Don't worry ...it's been two years
Jennie
I can't ...I'm used to this place now
Jennie
And the fact that I can help the old people who are stuck here is enough ...
Hyunjin
Then I'll stay and help the old people as well
Jennie
*chuckles* Hyunjin ...stop making excuses

Oh so when you do it it's okay...and when I do it ...it's an excuse ?

*waves him off* okay fine...just think about it okay...

*Nods* fine...I will

Hyunjin walks out the supermarket, he looks around him and his eyes meets a strange looking zombie across the street
He has dirty hair just like all of them, dirty bloody clothes and skin
But that's not the most unsettling thing
Because that's normal for zombies
what's bothering is the way his eyes are trained on Hyunjin
Almost like they are longing for him
Hyunjin recalls what grandma told him about some getting aggressive and he looks back at the one across the street
Still staring ... intensely

*clenches his jaw*...
