Inside Kim Sohi’s room, the soft morning sunlight slipped through the curtains.
“Sohi-ah, wake up, sweetheart. It’s already morning. You’ll be late for school,” her mother called gently from outside the room.
“Mm… yes, Mom. I’m awake…” Sohi replied sleepily as she sat up on the bed.
Still half-asleep, she rubbed her eyes before suddenly noticing something outside her window.
“Hm? What is this—”
She walked closer and pulled the curtain aside.
A familiar face smiled at her from outside.
“Joonie?”
Kim Sohi lovingly called Seo Jun “Joonie,” a nickname only she used.
“Hey, what are you doing outside the window?” she whispered softly. “Come inside normally through the door, okay?”
Seo Jun chuckled quietly before walking away from the window.
A few seconds later, the doorbell rang.
“I’ll get it!” Sohi’s mother said.
As soon as she opened the door, Seo Jun greeted her politely.
“Good morning, aunty. Is Sohi awake?”
“Yes, beta. She’s just getting ready.”
Right then, Sohi came downstairs while fixing her hair.
“I’m here, Mom.”
The three of them sat together for breakfast.
While Sohi quietly ate her food, Seo Jun couldn’t stop looking at her.
His gaze softened unconsciously.
How can someone be this beautiful…? he thought silently.
There was something deep inside his eyes whenever he looked at Sohi — a kind of affection so intense that perhaps even Sohi herself could never imagine someone felt that way for her.
Soon after breakfast, they left for school together.

At School
“Sohi-ah!”
Someone suddenly called out to her near the school entrance.
“Oh, hi Jae. Where is everyone? Why are you alone?” Sohi asked.
Lee Jae sighed dramatically. “Those lazy people are probably wandering around somewhere.”
“And Hyunwoo?”
“In the library, obviously,” he replied.
Sohi smiled softly.
“Where’s Joonie?”
“He was right behind you a second ago.”
Sohi looked around before speaking quietly,
“Yeah, why wouldn’t I go?” Jae replied casually.
Sohi looked around before her eyes finally landed on Seo Jun.
“Joonie, are you going to your section?”
“Yeah,” Seo Jun answered softly. “I need to prepare for tomorrow’s exam.”
He paused for a moment before continuing,
“As you know… this is our last year of school.”
His eyes unconsciously shifted toward Sohi.
“After this… maybe we’ll all become distant.”
Sohi’s expression slowly changed.
“Oh… right. I’m worried about that too.”
Her fingers tightened slightly around the strap of her bag.
But why does the thought of Joonie going far away hurt this much?
Maybe… I’m just too used to him being around.
Trying to ignore the strange feeling in her chest, she forced a small smile.
“Anyway, I’m going to the library.”
“Okay,” Jae replied before suddenly remembering something.
“Oh right, I need to find Jieun.”
Without wasting another second, she quickly walked away.
Of course, nobody knew that Lee Jae secretly liked Jieun herself.

Meanwhile — Library
The library was peaceful and quiet, filled only with the soft sound of pages turning.
“Hii, Hyunwoo,” Sohi greeted softly as she walked inside.
Hyunwoo looked up from his book and smiled lightly.
“Oh, hey Sohi. Over here.”
Sohi sat beside him and placed her books on the table.
“I came here to study. You know exams are coming, and honestly… I’m kind of stressed.”
Hyunwoo raised an eyebrow slightly.
“You? Stressed?” he asked teasingly. “Sohi, you’re literally a topper.”
Sohi sighed softly.
“It’s not only about exams…”
Her voice slowly became quieter.
“I just keep thinking about what will happen after graduation.”
Hyunwoo’s eyes briefly changed.
Because deep down…
He already knew exactly what she was really worried about.
Seo Jun.

He already knew exactly what she was really worried about.
...****************...
Seo Jun.
Our final year exams had finally begun.
A part of me was happy because these school days were ending soon, and we would all enter college together.
But somewhere deep inside…
My heart still felt heavy.
And honestly, I didn’t even know why.
“Hey, sweetheart, aren’t we leaving?” Seo Jun teased while standing outside the gate.
Sohi looked at him and smiled softly.
“Yeah, let’s go. Exams are starting from today.”
They started walking side by side toward school.
After a few seconds of silence, Sohi quietly spoke again.
“Joonie… after exams, if we all go somewhere else… you’ll miss me, right?” she asked sadly.
Seo Jun looked at her for a moment before gently flicking her forehead.
“Who told you I’m going far away from you?” he said softly. “I’ll still be here. Only our college will change, my sweety.”
Sohi’s eyes slowly brightened.
“Really…?”
“Mm. Now come on, or we’ll be late.”
Suddenly, Sohi wrapped her arms around him in a warm hug.
Seo Jun froze completely.
For Sohi, it was just a simple hug between friends.
But for him…
It felt completely different.
What are these feelings?
Whenever she touches me, my heart loses control.
When she’s close, it feels like I have the entire world.
And when she’s far away… it feels like my heartbeat disappears with her.
Why does it feel like she was made only for me?
Then why am I so scared of losing her?
Slowly, Sohi pulled away from the hug.
“Let’s go,” she smiled innocently.
Seo Jun quietly nodded before following her toward the exam hall.

...****************...
A few hours later…
The exam finally ended.
The entire school was loud and excited.
Some students celebrated, while others complained dramatically about how difficult the paper was.
Meanwhile, Sohi’s friend group gathered together outside the school building.
“Guys!” Jae suddenly shouted excitedly. “Our school life is literally ending. We HAVE to go on a trip somewhere!”
Jieun nodded immediately.
“She’s right. We should make one last memory together.”
Everyone slowly agreed.
Sohi smiled softly before speaking,
“Yeah… after this, we don’t even know where life will take us.”
Her voice became quieter.
“So I think… we should enjoy these moments while we still can.”
As she spoke, Seo Jun silently stared into her eyes.
There was something painful hidden behind her smile.
And he noticed it instantly.
Without saying anything, Seo Jun suddenly grabbed Sohi’s wrist and pulled her away from the group.
Jae blinked in shock.
“…What was THAT?”
“What was THAT, guys?” Jae exclaimed dramatically while staring in the direction Seo Jun had taken Sohi.
“Seriously,” Jieun laughed softly. “The way Seo Jun pulled her away… how sweet.”
Jae sighed dreamily.
“I wish someone would take me away like that too.”
“They looked so cute together,” Jieun added with a smile.
Meanwhile, Hyunwoo quietly watched the two disappear down the hallway before shaking his head.
“I really don’t know when those two are finally going to understand each other’s feelings,” he said.
“At this rate, nothing is ever going to happen between them.”
Jae immediately nodded in agreement.
“You’re right. Honestly, I feel bad for Seo Jun sometimes.”
She crossed her arms dramatically.
“Sohi still has no idea about his feelings…”
“And the person who DOES know can’t even confess properly.”
Jieun laughed quietly.
“Love really is complicated.”
Hyunwoo suddenly smirked before looking at Jae.
“You’re saying all this as if you’re any different,” he teased. “Don’t you also like Jieun?”
The moment he said that, Jae’s eyes widened.
“H-Hey!” she shouted. “At least I’m going to confess one day! I’m not like those two, okay?”
Trying to hide her embarrassment, she quickly walked away while pouting cutely.
Hyunwoo chuckled softly.
“She’s unbelievable.”
Then he looked up toward the sky dramatically.
“And God… if possible, please send someone into my life too.”
Jieun burst into laughter beside him.
“You sound desperate.”
“Because I AM.”
