The sound of anklets could be heard clearly... The place looked like it was abandoned for a long period of time. Dust everywhere, I could clearly see the footprints she left behind on the floor. She is trying to run away again... She knows what she is doing and what will be the consequences yet she is doing it. Trying to run away? Nah! You know very well that you can't run away from me Shanaya...

"Stop trying to run away! You know pretty well you can't escape from me! It's just a waste of time" I shouted angrily. I can't take this anymore... It's impossible to live without her... She knows that I love her deeply... yet she tries to run away from me. I ran my hands through me hair. I was frustrated at the thought of her trying to leave me. How can she do this to me? Consequences... I let out a small laugh,I clearly know the consequences and I know he is capable of doing it. What else could be expected from him? He doesn't care about anyone's feelings. As long as he is obeyed everything is fine, but the moment you oppose him, he looks at you so coldly with that pair of olive eyes that you could feel that his gaze is piercing right through you... You could be dead at any moment. He doesn't care about other's lives. For him, only the people he loved mattered and that includes only his son, rest all are just puppet for him, As for me I am also one of those puppets of him. He is a living demon... "One" he said. The place was so queit that his voice could be heard clearly even though there was alot of distance between us. "Two" he said. I had no choice but to show up. I decided to face him... I stepped out from the room I was hiding in. I am sure he must have heard the sound of my anklets as he still hasn't counted three.

 I know anybody would think that I am dumb to not remove the anklets before running away. I am not so fond of anklets. That man is a real demon and of course a very very smart one. He is always ten steps ahead of his opponents. He knew that I would try to run away, so he made me wear the anklets which were designed in such a way that they would open from a key and that Kairav Singh Ranawat! He literally keeps that key with him everytime! I soon reached the place where he was standing.

I was just ten steps away from him as per my calculations... I am still not visible to him but after two steps I would be. And I don't know what will happen next. I am scared. But I have to face him. I left out a deep breath and took two more steps.

He saw me! His olive eyes piercing right through me. I could sense that he is really angry... his aura was really scary... that means only one thing... I am done for!!

He took a step. I cleaned my fists as he came near me, my heart beating faster with every step he took. And in no time he was standing in front of me... I lifted my head and looked at him...He was quite tall... maybe 6'3... and me, I was just 5'7.

"You are smart." He smirked. "You know when to give up... but that doesn't mean that you will not be punished for the crime you did" Crime? Yes of course. Disobeying his words is considered a serious crime in his eyes. In no time he lifted me up. I gasped. I wrapped my hands around his neck as I had no choice but to go with the flow. He smirked at my act and I was a bit embarrassed... He then walked out of the place, carrying me in his arms... He put me down, opened the car door and made me sit inside.

......Kairav's Point Of View......

Neither of us spoke a word. She was sitting right beside me in the front seat lost in her thoughts... maybe thinking of other ways to escape... but sadly you are not getting a chance Baby. I focused on the road.

Soon we reached home. Home... not before she entered... it was just a house before she entered here and she made it feel like home now. Home... Our Home...

He came running towards us bare foot. I can see his tears glistening on his face. He hugged Shanaya tightly. He hugged her waist tightly as he could not match her height. She gently patted his head while hugging him. I couldn't help but smile looking at them. This was my family. My son and my wife, my everything.

"Don't cry Ayaan, I am here with you, baccha" she said while wiping tears from his cheeks. "I am not crying Maa. Strong boys don't cry" he said, clearly offended by her words. "And who taught you that?" she chuckled. "Don't you like me Maa?" he said as tears threatened to fall from his eyes anytime.

"Of course, I do. Why do you think like that?"

"Then why did you leave me?"

She paused at his question. It was clear that she does not have an answer of that question, or she does... but she can't tell it to Ayaan.

"I didn't leave you Ayaan, I just went to buy something" she said with a smile. Even though it was clear from his expression that he wasn't satisfied with her answer, he still didn't question any further. He just smiled and nodded at her answer, whipping his tears. And she patted his head gently, once again...

"Papa..." he said softly, signaling me to bend down. I bent down to his level. "I am scared to lose Maa... I don't want to lose her... please keep her happy and safe, please Papa. Please don't let her leave" he whispered in my ear. There is something I missed, Ayaan was never like this. Something must have happened. I am sure Shanaya hadn't heard him as she was standing at a distance. I cupped Ayaan's face and kissed his forehead. "Don't worry beta, I would do it even if you hadn't told me to" I said with a smile. I could see that he was relieved hearing my words. Shanaya, standing at a distance, was confused looking at us. Ayaan held my and Shanaya's hand and took us inside. Shanaya just smiled at his action but I... I had one of the best moments of my life. Being able to hold my son's hand while my wife walks along me is the best feeling ever.

Maa tried to run away again... she did it 20 times in a year so it was nothing new for us. I knew Papa would find her soon. But that letter...

I don't know when and how that letter came in my room. I haven't informed Papa about that letter yet. I asked Reyansh uncle for the CCTV footage but there was nothing suspicious... No one unfamiliar entered in the house. The knob of my room's door clicked, and someone familiar entered. I turned my face aside and laid on my bed, my back facing the ceiling

"Then why do you keep leaving me?" I sat up and looked at her. A lone tear escaped from my eyes. I hate it the most when I try to be strong but become weak in front of her. Seeing me like this she hugged me. And I started crying like a kid. How could I cry like that!? I don't know when I fell asleep on her lap but that was the best sleep of my life.

...Kairav's Point Of View...

I smiled looking at the scene in front of me. Ayaan was sleeping on Shanaya's lap and she was gently storking his hair. I entered the room a few moments before and they didn't notice my presence. I wish I could watch this scene in front of me for a lifetime but right now... it's necessary to talk with Shanaya. "Shanaya" I called her. She turned back looking at me with no expression.

"We need to talk."

"About what?"

"You know very well about what. Don't test my patience, you know very well what happens when I lose it"

She was speechless hearing me. "Here?" She asked

"Ayaan will wake up. Come downstairs. I am waiting" I said and left the room.

It's been 10 minutes and she still hasn't come downstairs. What the hell is she doing!? She sure loves to test my patience. A lock of her hair continuously touched her lips, making her irritated. She gently tucked her hair behind her ear as she stepped down carefully... My God!!! She looks so stunning!! "You are not allowed to leave this house anymore. You will stay indoors and do whatever you want" he said in an authoritative tone. "I have a company to manage Mr. Ranawat. I can't just sit and play around!" I said, clearly disagreeing with his order. Oh shit! This man is insane! How could I forget that!? He clearly hates people who disagree with him.
