SCENE 3 – CCTV FOOTAGE CONTINUES

The Ghost is now desperately trying everything:

At one point, the Ghost appears directly in front of the monitor.

The sun is setting over Sholinganallur. Surya walks toward the main entrance with confidence. As he nears the fountain, he sees a girl. She is stunning—wearing a trendy outfit, holding her phone up, taking aesthetic pictures of the campus.

This is RIYA.

Surya stops for a second. He feels a weird skip in his heart, like his brain just hit a "system hang" because of her beauty. Riya notices him staring. She decides to have a little fun with this stylish newcomer.

RIYA

(Smirking)

Hey! What are you doing here? Staring is a bug, you know.

SURYA

(Snapping out of it)

RIYA

SCENE 18: THE 10 PM STATUS CALL

At 10:00 PM sharp, Surya’s phone rings. It’s the MANAGER. Surya stands up to take the call, pacing back and forth near his desk to stretch his legs.

SURYA

Hello, Sir! Good evening!

MANAGER (V.O.)

(Sounding stunned)

Surya? You sound... very cheerful. I sent you those three critical modules an hour ago. Have you even looked at them?

SURYA

(Walking fast)

Looked at them? Sir, I’ve almost completed them! I’m so happy with the progress. The logic is flowing like water tonight!

The Ghost, seeing him distracted by the call, tries to sneak behind him to trip him. She sticks her leg out into the aisle.

CRUNCH!

Surya, walking with high energy, steps directly onto the Ghost’s ankle with his heavy, stylish sneakers.

GHOST

(A silent, agonizing scream)

AAAAIIIIEEEE!

The Ghost collapses, clutching her foot. She looks up at Surya with tears of pure frustration.

GHOST

(Sobbing silently)

Yesterday he broke my nose... today he broke my leg... Is this a software park or a wrestling ring?!

SCENE 19: THE MANAGER’S SUSPICION

Surya doesn't notice a thing. He thinks he just stepped on a loose piece of carpet.

SURYA

(Into phone)

Everything is perfect here, Sir. Very peaceful. No distractions at all.

MANAGER (V.O.)

(Thinking to himself)

How is this possible? Every other developer who sat at that desk was crying or screaming by 10 PM. This guy is talking like he's at a beach resort.

MANAGER

I... I really appreciate the dedication, Surya. Since you’re so "comfortable," I’m sending one more urgent file. Finish it and update the repository.

SURYA

Done, Sir! Consider it finished!

SCENE 20: BACK TO THE CODE

Surya sits back down, humming a song. The Ghost is now dragging herself across the carpet, trying to get away from his chair before he moves again.

SURYA

(To himself)

Man, this floor has some weird bumps. I should tell the facility manager to fix the carpet. Anyway, back to the "Special Project!"

MOTHER

(Coming from the kitchen with coffee)

Surya! You look like you’ve been in a war. How was the work, son? Did anything happen?

SURYA

(Yawning widely)

Superb, Ma. The project is finally running. I cleared every single bug. I’m just... dead tired. Good night, Ma... or good morning. I’m going to sleep.

He stumbles into his room and collapses onto the bed, still in his formal shirt. Just as he’s drifting off, his phone VIBRATES aggressively. It’s VIGNESH.

SURYA

(Groaning, picking up)

Hello?

VIGNESH (V.O.)

(Whispering urgently)

Dei Surya! I couldn’t sleep thinking about you. How was the shift? Are you alive? Did you see any spirit? Everyone is saying that floor is cursed, man!

SURYA

(Eyes closed, voice thick with sleep)

Are you mad, Vignesh? Do you know what time it is? I’m trying to sleep.

VIGNESH (V.O.)

I’m just checking if you're safe! My cousin said the ghost there pulls people’s hair and screams in their ears. Did you hear anything?

SURYA

(Laughs tiredly into his pillow)

Hey, shut up, man! I love the work, , and there is no ghost. Only "ghost bugs" in the code, and I killed all of them. No spirit, nothing. Now sleep silently and let me sleep... I have to login again tonight.

He hangs up and tosses the phone. Within seconds, he is snoring.

Riya is hiding behind a pillar, holding a small bottle of holy water and a flashlight. She is terrified but determined to "save" Surya.

RIYA

(Whispering)

Surya is so innocent. He thinks it’s just the AC, but I know what’s here. I have to get him out.

The GHOST, still limping with a band-aid on her nose, sees Riya. Her eyes turn red with fury. She can’t hurt the "Workaholic Monster" Surya, but she can definitely scare this girl.

GHOST

(Thinking)

The Ghost appears right in front of Riya, her jaw unhinging and her hair flying wildly.

RIYA

(Screaming at the top of her lungs)

AAAAAAAHHHH! GHOST! SURYAAAA!

Riya faints from pure shock and hits the floor. THUD.

SCENE 22: SURYA TO THE RESCUE

Surya, who was deep in a "For-Loop," rips off his headphones. He sees Riya lying on the carpet near his bay.

SURYA

Riya?! What is she doing here?

He runs over, picks up a water bottle from his desk, and sprinkles water on her face. Riya slowly opens her eyes, trembling.

RIYA

(Grabbing Surya’s arm)

Surya! Please! We have to leave right now! Take a transfer, quit, do anything! I saw it... the spirit... she was right there! She’s terrifying!

SURYA

(Sighing, completely calm)

Riya, relax. You guys have watched too many horror movies. You keep telling yourself "ghost, ghost," so your brain creates one. Why are you even here at this time?

RIYA

(Crying)

I came to save you! I didn't want you to be alone with that thing!

SURYA

(Laughing)

The GHOST is sitting on top of a filing cabinet, watching him. She looks like a comedy piece—one leg sticking out, a band-aid on her nose, and a look of total confusion on her face.

GHOST

(Thinking)

I tried to kill his girlfriend, and he called a security guard like it was a housekeeping issue. Is this guy even human? I’m the most feared spirit in Sholinganallur, and I’ve become a joke on my own floor.

Surya starts humming a happy tune. The Ghost just puts her head in her hands, waiting for the sun to rise.

THE DAY SHIFT GOSSIP – 10:00 AMThe Day Shift team is crowded around the coffee machine. Riya’s hands are shaking as she holds her cup.GEETHA(Looking at the dashboard)

Guys, look at this. Surya cleared 147 tasks alone last night. We are 30 people and we only finished 87

RIYA’S DETERMINATIONThe team scatters in fear. Riya sits at her desk, staring at her blank screen.

THE GHOST’S REVENGE PLANThe Ghost is tired of physical pain. She starts adding random semicolons and brackets in the middle of his logic.

SURYA(Frowning) What the... why is the cursor jumping? Is this a hardware glitch?

The screen starts flickering. "ERROR 404," "SYSTEM CRASH," and "SYNTAX ERROR" pop up everywhere.

SURYA(Sighing)Must be a loose connection in the CPU cable. These maintenance guys never tighten the wires properly.SCENE

32: THE ELECTRICAL SHOCKSurya crawls under the desk to fix the wiring. The Ghost, thinking she has him trapped, crawls under there too, grinning wickedly. She reaches out to grab his neck.Just then, Surya yanked a loose high-voltage power cable to plug it back in.ZAP! SPARKS FLY!The cable brushes against the Ghost’s leg.

GHOST(Violent shaking)ZZZZZZZZT! OH MY GOD! I GOT A CURRENT SHOCK!The Ghost flies backward, hair standing up even more than usual, smoke coming off her toes. She collapses on the carpet, sobbing and twitching.

SURYA(Emerging from under the desk)There! Fixed. I heard a loud buzzing sound... someone must be watching an action movie in the security room outside.

He sits back down and starts typing at double speed. Now that the cable is "fixed," his productivity skyrockets.

SCENE 33: NAP TIME & CHOCOLATEBy 1:00 AM, Surya has finished another 50 tasks. His eyes are heavy.

SURYA(Yawning)Okay, power nap time.

He puts his head on the desk and falls into a deep sleep instantly. The Ghost crawls out from under a table, limping and smelling like burnt rubber. She looks at his sleeping face.

GHOST(Whispering)I give up. I can't disturb him. He is a monster. I am already so tired and my leg is still buzzing from that shock. Let him sleep... at least I get some peace.The Ghost sits in the corner, exhausted and defeated.

SCENE 34: THE CAFETERIA RUN2:00 AM. Surya wakes up fresh. He feels a bit hungry and decides to go to the cafeteria.The cafeteria is empty and dim. He walks to the vending machine and sees a premium Silk Chocolate. He remembers Riya’s worried face from earlier.

SURYA(Smiling)Poor Riya. She was so stressed today. Let me get this for her.He scans his employee ID, pays for the chocolate, and tucks it safely into his bag.

SCENE 35: THE FINAL SPRINT2:15 AM. Surya returns to his desk. He puts on his noise-canceling headphones and plays high-energy Tamil songs.He is vibing, head-nodding, and coding all at the same time. He doesn't notice the Ghost behind him trying to do a "scary dance." To him, it just looks like the shadows are moving to the beat of the music.

SURYA(Packing his bag)Great night. Very productive.He walks out, leaving the Ghost staring at the empty chair in total disbelief.

She uses her cold, translucent finger to draw a "heart" shape on the dusty monitor screen over their faces..

SCENE 45: THE TRAP ON THE 10TH FLOOR

Riya cannot sleep. She is confused by Surya’s message about a "gift" on his desk. At 6:00 AM, just before Surya’s logout, she sneaks up to the 10th floor. The lights are dim. She reaches Surya's bay and sees the red heart on the monitor.

RIYA

(Whispering)

I didn't draw this... then who?

Suddenly, the air turns ice-cold. The GHOST appears, but this time she isn't matching hearts—she is furious. She looks at Riya with bloodshot eyes.

GHOST

(Voice echoing)

Vadi! Unakaga tha wait pantu irundha. Unna sagadichanum! Unna epdi varanchu pathiya? (Come here! I’ve been waiting for you. I must kill you! Did you see how I drew you?)

Riya falls back, her heart racing.

RIYA

(Trembling)

Please... enna vittudu! (Please... leave me alone!)

GHOST

(Screaming)

The Ghost lunges at Riya, her translucent claws reaching for her neck.

One floor below, Surya has just finished his logout. He is walking toward the stairs when he hears a familiar, terrified scream.

SURYA

(Eyes widening)

Riya?!

He doesn't wait for the elevator. He sprints up the stairs, his heart pounding. He bursts through the glass doors of the 10th floor.

Inside, he sees Riya cornered against a pillar. The Ghost is hovering right in front of her, looking like a nightmare. The Ghost turns and sees Surya. Her expression shifts from rage to shock.

Surya still doesn't realize she is a spirit. He thinks it’s just a prankster or a crazy intruder in a costume.

SURYA

(Shouting)

Hey! Who are you?! Leave her alone!

Riya sees Surya and runs to him, hugging him tightly, her whole body shaking.

RIYA

(Crying)

Save me, Surya! I saw it... the ghost! It tried to kill me! It’s real, Surya! It’s real!

SCENE 47: SURYA’S UNREAL REACTION

Surya holds Riya, but he looks at the "Ghost" with an annoyed expression.

SURYA

Riya, stay behind me.

He steps forward, looking the Ghost straight in the eyes. The Ghost is confused—usually, people faint when she looks at them like this.

SURYA

(To the Ghost)

Senior VP RAJ walks into the 10th floor with a fake, charming smile. The moment he steps through the glass doors, the temperature drops to a bone-chilling level. The air conditioning hums violently, but Raj ignores it.

He walks straight to Surya and gives him a big, theatrical hug.

(Laughing)

My man, Surya! People told me a ghost lives on this floor. But all I see here is Surya, the legend!

SURYA

(Smiling)

You’re right, sir. There’s nothing here. My friend Riya is the one who keeps watching horror movies at night and getting scared for no reason.

(Patting Surya’s shoulder)

We’ll see, my dear Surya. I’ll meet you tomorrow and we can discuss the shift changes. Bye for now!

Raj walks out, his expensive shoes clicking on the floor. Prathima follows him to the elevator, her eyes glowing red with fury, but she cannot touch him yet—his "power" in the office is still too strong.

SCENE 78: THE WARNING MESSAGE

The moment Raj leaves, Surya feels an intense shiver. He picks up his phone. He feels an instinctive urge to warn Riya, even though he doesn't know why.

SURYA (MESSAGE):

"Riya, the Senior VP was just here. He was asking about you. Listen... whatever happens, don't agree to any shift changes yet. Something feels weird today."

Riya, sitting in her room looking at the video of Raj killing Prathima, grips her phone tight.

Hey Dhanushree, where is Riya? I haven't seen her since the morning.

DHANUSHREE

Oh, she took a holiday today. She said there’s a big family function she has to attend.

SURYA

(Nodding)

A function? Oh, okay. Let her enjoy. Yesterday she was looking so stressed because of that VP Raj. A break will be good for her.

He heads home, but a few hours later, his phone pings.

RIYA (MESSAGE):

"Happy June 1st, Surya! You have a big surprise waiting for you tonight. Don't be late for your login! 😉"

Suddenly, he sees a silhouette moving near the window. It looks like a shadow draped in long, flowing fabric. For the first time, Surya’s heart skips a beat.

(Shocked)

Riya?! What are you doing here at 12 AM? You said you had a family function!

RIYA

(Laughing)

That was the lie for Dhanushree! I had to prepare this. Today is June 1st, Surya. My night shift starts tonight. I’m your new partner!

(Grinning)

You idiot! I really thought you were a ghost for a second. If you get scared later and scream, I’m going to beat you on your head! But... thank you. This is amazing. Come inside.

They sit at Surya’s desk. The Ghost of Prathima is hovering near the ceiling, watching them. She isn't angry; she is curious. She sees the candle flame dancing.

SCENE 115: THE GHOST’S INTERVENTIONVP Raj’s face turns dark. He steps closer, ignoring her words. He reaches out his hand to touch her shoulder.

VP RAJ: Don't be so difficult, Riya. I can make your life very easy.or very hard

(Just as his fingers are about to touch her fabric, a violent, icy wind rips through the hallway.SLAP!A loud, echoing sound of a hand hitting a face rings out. Raj’s head snaps to the side. A bright red mark appears on his cheek, but no one is there.)

VP RAJ(Stumbling back, terrified)What?! Who did that?

(Suddenly, the GHOST of PRATHIMA appears between them. Her eyes are glowing with pure hatred. She screams, a sound that shatters the nearby glass water bottles.)

GHOST(Voice echoing in Riya's head)HEY RIYA! GO TO THE 10TH FLOOR! DON'T BE HERE! RUN!

SCENE 116: THE ESCAPE

Riya doesn't wait. She sees the terror on Raj's face as he stares at the empty air where the Ghost is standing. She turns and sprints back toward the safety of Surya’s bay.Raj is left in the hallway, his legs trembling. He looks at his reflection in the glass and sees the Ghost standing right behind him, her hands reaching for his throat.

VP RAJ(Whimpering)No... not again... not you...

(..VP Raj is pinned against the wall, his cheek burning from the slap. The Ghost of Prathima leans into his ear, her voice a terrifying, distorted growl that only he can hear.)

GHOST(Screaming)NAA UNNA IVLO SIKKIRAM KOLLA MATTEN! NA KOLLUVAN... ELLARUM UNNA KETTAVAN-NU THUPPUVANGA LA... APPO UNNA NA KOLLUVA DA!(I won't kill you this easily! I will kill you... but only when everyone spits on you as a villain... that is when I will take your life!)

Raj’s heart nearly stops. He doesn't look back. He scrambles to his feet and runs toward the exit, tripping over his own shoes. He doesn't even stop at his cabin; he bolts straight out of the Wipro campus and into his car, driving away in total terror.

SCENE 118: THE REVELATION Riya runs back to the 10th floor, breathless and pale. Surya stands up immediately, seeing her face.

SURYA: Riya! What happened? You look like you’ve seen... well, a ghost.

RIYA : Surya, it was Raj! He followed me near the washroom. He tried to misbehave, he tried to touch me... but Prathima helped me. She slapped him!

SURYA(Shocked and angry)Prathima? Who is that? Is she a new security guard or a senior? Where is she? Can we go meet her and say thanks?

RIYA(Grabbing his arm)Surya, listen to me! She’s not an employee. She is a ghost. The one you call 'Sister'... her name is Prathima!

SCENE 119: SURYA’S DENIALSurya stares at Riya for a long moment, then lets out a frustrated sigh.

SCENE 120: THE SILENT WITNESSThe Ghost of Prathima stands right behind Surya. She looks at Riya and gives a small, sad nod. She knows Surya isn't ready to believe, but she also knows that Raj is now marked.

Surya stands up and brushes the dust off his jeans. He looks at Riya, ready to make another joke, but his eyes catch something. In the struggle with the chair wheel, a small section of her black saree has indeed torn right near the waistline.

SURYA(Clearing his throat, looking away)Hey, enough. I was just joking about Prathima. Forget it. Come, we have to finish this module before the 6:00 AM logout.

RIYA(Fixing her hair)Fine. Let’s get back to work.

SURYA(Hesitating)Riya... did you bring a pin? A safety pin?

RIYA(Confused)Pin? What pin are you talking about? My password access pin? My laptop login?

As Riya heads toward the washroom, Surya can’t stop thinking about VP Raj’s behavior from earlier. The anger is bubbling inside him. He pushes his chair back and walks toward the hallway.He doesn't go inside, but he stands firmly right next to the ladies' washroom entrance, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. He looks like a bouncer at a high-end club.A few minutes later, Riya comes out, her saree perfectly pinned. She stops dead in her tracks when she sees him.

RIYA(Surprised)Hey, Surya! What are you doing here? This is the ladies' side!

SURYA(Looking at the ceiling, trying to act cool)I was just... checking the ventilation in the hallway. It seemed a bit off.

RIYA(Smirking)In front of the washroom?

SCENE 136: RIYA’S REALIZATION Riya looks at him, her expression softening. She realizes that despite all his teasing and jokes, Surya is actually terrified for her safety.

The sun is bright now, shining through the glass panels of the Sholinganallur campus.  Surya and Riya at cafeteria , finishing their coffee. They talk about their families, their childhoods, and how they ended up at Wipro. For a moment, they aren't "Rank 1" and "Rank 2"—they are just two people who shared a very long, strange night.

RIYA(Smiling)Agree. Back to the grind.

SCENE 140 – THE ILLUSION COLLISIONA few minutes later, Surya reaches for his bottle. Empty. He sighs and walks out toward the water dispenser near the lobby. At the same time, Riya notices her bottle is empty too and heads out.Surya finishes filling his bottle and turns around quickly to head back in. Riya is rushing toward the dispenser at full speed.THWACK!Their heads collide with a loud sound.

SURYA(Clutching his forehead)Aiyyo! Hey lady! What is this? My head is spinning! Why are you running like an illusion?

RIYA(Rubbing her temple, wincing)I am an illusion? You are the one who came out like a racing car! I was just coming for water. You are totally mad, Surya!

SURYA(Showing his bottle)Look! My bottle was empty, so I came out. It's a normal human need!

RIYA(Shocked)Even my bottle was empty! I was coming for the same reason. Are we synced or something?
