Monday mornings were Rihanna Miller’s least favorite part of the week.
The hallways of Luminous High were unusually loud, filled with students dragging their feet to class and complaining about unfinished homework. Rihanna walked through the crowded corridor clutching her pastel pink notebook to her chest, her blonde hair swaying with every step.
She let out a small sigh.
Another week.
Another five days of classes.
Another five days of dealing with Lia Henderson.
As if summoned by her thoughts, a familiar voice called from behind.
“Well, if it isn’t Blondie.”
Rihanna froze.
She turned around and found Lia leaning casually against a row of lockers.
As always, Lia looked effortlessly cool. Her black hair framed her face perfectly, and her dark clothing, chains, and skateboard shoes made her look like she belonged on the cover of a magazine.
Rihanna narrowed her blue eyes.
“What do you want, Henderson?”
Lia smirked.
“Relax. I was just saying hi.”
“You have a strange way of being friendly.”
“Maybe you’re just easy to annoy.”
Rihanna huffed and spun around.
“I’m late for class.”
“See you inside, Blondie.”
Rihanna pretended not to hear the strange flutter in her chest as she walked away.
She definitely did not enjoy their arguments.
Definitely not.
---
When Rihanna entered Classroom 2-B, she immediately noticed something unusual.
A small packet of strawberry biscuits sat neatly on top of her desk.
She stopped.
Her brows furrowed.
She looked around the room.
No one seemed to be paying attention. Students chatted with friends, copied homework, and prepared for the day as if nothing were out of the ordinary.
Rihanna slowly approached her seat.
Tucked beneath the snack was a folded note.
Her heart began to race.
With trembling fingers, she unfolded the paper.
The handwriting was neat and simple.
> For you.
— From your admirer.
Rihanna stared at the words.
Her cheeks turned pink.
An admirer?
Someone liked her?
She looked around the room again, searching for any suspicious faces.
That was when she noticed Lee Seo-Jun entering the classroom.
He wore his usual soft smile and neatly adjusted his backpack on one shoulder. As he walked past her desk, his dark brown eyes met hers.
“Good morning, Rihanna,” he said warmly.
Rihanna blinked.
“G-Good morning.”
Seo-Jun smiled and took his seat nearby.
Rihanna looked back at the note.
Then at Seo-Jun.
Then at the note again.
Her heart pounded even faster.
No way.
Could it be him?
---
“Why are you staring at that biscuit like it’s going to confess its love to you?”
Rihanna jumped.
Lia had appeared beside her desk.
Rihanna quickly hid the note behind her notebook.
“None of your business.”
Lia raised an eyebrow.
“Someone’s acting suspicious.”
“I said it’s none of your business.”
Lia leaned closer, her dark eyes glinting with amusement.
“Fine. Keep your secrets, Blondie.”
For a brief moment, Rihanna thought Lia’s expression changed.
Something flickered across her face too quickly to understand.
Then Lia straightened and walked to her seat as if nothing had happened.
Rihanna stared after her.
Weirdo.
Still, when she looked back at the strawberry biscuits, a smile spread across her face.
Someone out there liked her enough to leave her favorite snack.
And somehow, that made Monday feel a little brighter.
---
That night, Rihanna placed the note carefully inside her diary.
She read it three times before closing the cover.
“For you,” she whispered, smiling to herself.
Whoever her admirer was, she intended to find out.
And deep in her heart, she already had a suspicion.
Lee Seo-Jun.
With that thought, Rihanna turned off her bedside lamp and drifted to sleep, clutching the mystery close to her heart.
She had no idea that one small note was about to change everything. 💌✨
