Huh, it feels very boring. Wherever I look, only couples and couples and couples.
Sasuke and Sakura are literally living together and my dumbass brother Naruto is also dating someone sweet like Hinata.
I am the only one here alone.
Even though I got married a long time ago, still I am alone.
Even though my husband is 14 years older than me.
Huhhhh…
Nothing feels good.
You dummy sensei. I hate him. I really, really hate him.
I never wanted to be anyone’s wife.
I only wanted to be my clan leader.
How did my life reach this place?
---
Mom! How can you do this to me? I am only 15 years old and you already fixed my marriage? Why? And that too with my sensei!
We are doing this for your own good, Yn.
As soon as Yn’s words ended, Minato said in a calm voice.
Good? What good, Dad? You are marrying off a minor girl and saying it is for her good?
I will never accept this marriage!
And have you even asked Kakashi sensei what he wants? Did you ask him?
We already talked with Kakashi and informed you, Yn.
What? Sensei..! How…
Shut up! I don’t want to hear anything more. Go to your room, Yn.
But Mom…
Yn, do what your mom is saying. Don’t worry, everything will be fine.
Nothing will be fine. I will not do this marriage.
If you don’t agree to this marriage, then I will not make you my successor. I will not make you the clan leader, Yn.
Mom!
Go to your room.
Saying this, Kushina and Minato went back to their work. On the other side, Yn stood there with tear-filled eyes watching them leave.
You all don’t understand my pain, Mom!
---
On the streets of Konoha, Yn is walking alone in a sad mood. And she is remembering the earlier conversation.
Then suddenly she meets Team 7.
Seeing Yn’s sadness, Sakura came to her and asked.
What happened, Yn? Why do you look like this?
After some time, in the restaurant…
Yn, now tell us what happened?
From Yn’s side Naruto spoke.
My mom and dad fixed my marriage. To protect me. And they fixed the marriage with Kakashi sensei.
What? Kakashi sensei?! How is this possible?
Everyone is shocked!
Yes, of course. This is completely impossible.
From the nearby table, Obito and Rin came and said the above thing.
Is this true, Yn?
Rin gently touched Yn’s cheek and asked.
Yn just shook her head.
Yes.
That means yes.
Does Kakashi want this?
Yn just hugged Rin and broke down crying. And Rin understood everything.
That Copy Ninja Kakashi. How dare he make my princess cry.
Obito frowned.
Do you want us to give you a chance to talk with Kakashi?
No, there is no use telling him. If he didn’t want it, he would have refused already.
Whatever I have to do, I will do it myself.
After that, everyone went back to their homes one by one.
Yn went home and tried to talk to her mom and dad about this matter, but they did not want to listen. Even Naruto tried to make them understand, but they did not listen to anything. Like the previous day, Yn cried and fell asleep.
---
Next morning…
Naruto’s shouting woke Yn from sleep.
What happened Naruto? Why are you calling me again and again? Let me sleep.
Come on, wake up! Big bro Obito, Rin, Sasuke, Sakura—everyone has come. Come on!
Okay okay, you go. I will get fresh.
After some time, Yn came fresh outside. She was not wearing mission clothes today, she was wearing formal dress. A white long gown, sleeveless. Her reddish hair was spread all over her waist. And on her shoulder there was a scarf which was covering her bare shoulder.
When Yn came downstairs, she made eye contact with Kakashi.
And at the same time Obito picked Yn up in his arms.
Hey! Big bro Obiiiiiii put me down. I am not a child anymore who gets picked up as soon as someone sees me. Put me down!!!
No matter how grown up you think you are, for me you will always be that little child, Yn.
Saying this, he kept walking while holding Yn in his arms.
Aaaaaa… Obiiiiii put me down!
Okay okay, I will put you down.
As soon as he put her down, Yn punched Obito in his stomach.
Owwww!
I will not let you carry me like this again.
No promises.
Saying this, Obito winked.
What did you just say? Wait Obitoooo!
Saying this, Yn started running behind Obito, Obito running in front and Yn chasing him behind. And from far away Kakashi was watching all this scene.
Seeing their so friendly bond, why do I feel like this?
Kakashi thought in his mind.
After that Kakashi went to Minato to talk about mission matters. And everyone else went to hang out.
In the evening near the lake…
Everyone came to the lake after spending the whole day roaming around.
Right now everyone has only one thought in their mind. For a little while, they were able to take Yn’s mind away from marriage thoughts. Now Yn is feeling a little better than before. From yesterday, the girl has only cried.
Then one by one everyone started going back to their homes.
Yn, won’t you go home? Come.
You go Naruto. I will go a little later. Fresh air feels good.
Okay, don’t stay here for too long, come home.
Okay.
Yn was sitting near the lake. Then she felt someone’s presence behind her. Without even turning, Yn understood whose presence it was.
Kakashi.
If you wanted, you could have stopped everything, right sensei?
It is for your own good, Yn.
Good, good, good. Tell me sensei, did anyone even ask me what I want? Did anyone try to understand what is going on in my mind? Everyone just says it is for my good. Am I not a human? I don’t want to be someone’s responsibility or duty. Why can’t you understand?
All the anger and pain of the last 2 days Yn threw on Kakashi today. Tears were falling from Yn’s eyes. The wind was blowing her hair and the scarf on her shoulder slightly moved down, and her bare shoulder became slightly visible. Kakashi looked away from that side.
You should go home now, Yn. It is already very late.
Saying this Kakashi gave his own jacket on Yn’s shoulder and spoke the words.
Yn just looked at Kakashi with tear-filled eyes and then left from there.
The wind blows slowly. The water of the lake creates light ripples. But inside Kakashi’s mind, everything is not calm—many thoughts are moving all at once.
“‘It is for your own good…’”
That sentence keeps echoing in his mind again and again.
He lets out a long breath beneath his mask.
“…I know,” he says quietly.
But there is no one to hear his voice.
---
Yn returns home and locks herself inside her room.
The sound of the door feels like it cuts through the entire house.
She sits on the bed, head lowered.
“Was it my fault?” Yn asks herself in her mind.
“I wanted to become a clan leader… but what have I become?”
Tears fall from her eyes again.
But this time, she does not wipe them.
---
Then suddenly, there is a soft knock outside.
“Yn…”
Naruto.
“Come out… we are here.”
Yn stays silent for a few seconds.
Then slowly says,
“Today no one will understand me, Naruto… go away.”
---
Silence outside.
Naruto leaves quietly.
Sasuke looks once at the door but says nothing.
Sakura’s eyes become a little soft.
---
On the other side, on the roof of Konoha, Kakashi is standing.
The wind is blowing through his hair.
He looks at the lights of the village below.
“This decision… did I do the right thing?”—a question in his mind.
Then from behind, Obito arrives.
“Hey Copy Ninja… still not at peace?”
Kakashi stays silent.
Obito gives a light smile.
“She doesn’t hate you… she’s just broken.”
Kakashi’s eyes slightly narrow.
“…I know.”
---
🌑 The scene fades into the night of Konoha—both of them alone, carrying their own guilt in different ways.
---
The next few days in Konoha felt strange for Yn.
Everything looked normal.
People walked around the streets, shops were open, children were playing—
But for Yn, nothing felt normal anymore.
She barely came out of her room.
And whenever she did, she always made sure to avoid one person.
Kakashi.
Morning, Training Ground 7…
Thud!
A kunai hit the wooden target.
But not the center.
Yn frowned.
"Tch."
Again.
Thud!
Again.
Wrong.
Her mind wasn't focused.
No matter how much she tried, the same thoughts kept coming back.
"Marriage..."
"Your own good..."
"Sensei agreed..."
Annoyed, Yn threw another kunai.
But this time—
Slice!
"...Ah!"
The kunai slipped slightly from her hand and cut across her palm.
A thin line of blood appeared.
Yn stared at it.
Then suddenly—
"Stop moving."
A familiar voice.
Yn froze.
Kakashi had appeared beside her.
Before she could even react, he gently held her wrist.
Yn looked at him with widened eyes.
"K-Kakashi sensei—"
He quietly took out bandages.
His eyes stayed on her injured hand.
"You weren't concentrating."
Silence.
Only the sound of wind.
Kakashi carefully wrapped the bandage around her hand.
"...Done."
But before he could let go—
Yn pulled her hand back.
"Don't act like you care now."
Silence.
Kakashi's hand slightly froze in the air.
Yn looked away.
"If you cared, things wouldn't become like this."
Then she turned and walked away.
Leaving Kakashi standing there alone.
Later that afternoon…
Naruto practically dragged Yn out of the house.
"Come onnn! Staying inside all day will make you become a grandma!"
"Naruto, I swear I will kill you."
"Nope!"
A few minutes later, they reached Ichiraku.
Naruto grinned proudly.
"I know ramen solves everything."
Yn stared at him.
Then sighed.
"...Idiot."
But for the first time in days—
a tiny smile appeared.
Naruto immediately pointed dramatically.
"SHE SMILED!"
"SHUT UP!"
Nearby, Sakura smiled softly.
Sasuke looked away.
"...You look less annoying when you're smiling."
Silence.
Everyone stared.
Sasuke: "...What?"
At the same time—
Across the street.
Kakashi stood holding a small book.
But his eyes weren't on the book.
They were on Yn.
He watched her laughing lightly with Naruto.
Watched Obito suddenly arrive and throw his arm around her shoulder dramatically.
"Come on princess! Big bro Obito is here!"
"OBITO MOVE!"
Kakashi narrowed his eyes slightly.
"..."
Strange.
Very strange.
Why was he staring?
Why did seeing Obito so close bother him?
Why did his chest feel uncomfortable?
He looked away immediately.
"...Ridiculous."
Then disappeared in air.
Evening…
Yn returned home after spending time outside.
As soon as she entered the house—
"Yn! Come here quickly!"
Kushina's excited voice echoed through the room.
Yn frowned slightly.
"What happened now, Mom?"
As she walked closer, she noticed a large box sitting on the table.
Kushina opened it with a smile.
Inside—
a beautiful white wedding dress.
For a moment, the room became silent.
Then—
"WOOOOOW!"
Sakura practically jumped from her seat.
Her eyes sparkled.
"Oh my God! Aunt Kushina, this dress is so beautiful! It looks amazing!"
She almost looked more excited than the bride herself.
"Seriously, Yn! Try it! Try it right now!"
Naruto looked confused.
"Eh? Girls get this excited over dresses?"
Sakura immediately smacked his head.
"Of course we do, idiot!"
"Aaah! Sakuraaa!"
Meanwhile Yn stood there with a tired expression.
"...It's just a dress."
"Nope."
Kushina immediately grabbed Yn's shoulders.
"You are trying this right now."
"Mom—"
"No arguments."
"But—"
"No."
Yn looked around helplessly.
Rin was smiling.
Obito was grinning.
Even Naruto looked curious.
Seeing everyone's excited faces, Yn let out a defeated sigh.
"...Fine."
After some time…
Everyone waited downstairs.
Suddenly—
Soft footsteps came from the stairs.
One step.
Two steps.
Three steps.
Everyone slowly looked up.
Yn was walking down the stairs.
The white dress flowed softly around her.
Her reddish hair fell over her shoulders and down her waist.
For a moment—
the entire room went quiet.
At that same time—
The front door opened.
Kakashi entered while talking with Minato.
"...About tomorrow's mission, I think—"
Then he stopped.
His words suddenly disappeared.
His eyes lifted.
And landed on Yn.
Silence.
Complete silence.
Kakashi just stood there.
Looking.
Minato noticed the sudden pause and looked at Kakashi in confusion.
"Hm?"
Then he followed Kakashi's gaze.
And saw Yn.
A soft smile appeared on Minato's face.
"Wow... Yn, you look beautiful."
Then he lightly patted Kakashi's shoulder.
"I'll go to my office first."
And with a small smile, Minato quietly left.
Leaving Kakashi standing there.
For a few moments—
Kakashi said nothing.
Yn also looked at him.
Neither moved.
Neither spoke.
Only stared.
Then suddenly—
"Wow Yn! You look really beautiful!"
Rin's voice broke the silence.
Immediately both Yn and Kakashi blinked.
As if suddenly coming back to reality.
Yn quickly looked away.
Then awkwardly rubbed her arm.
"Okay... everyone saw it already, right?"
She forced out a small smile.
"I'm going to change now."
"This dress is way too heavy and uncomfortable."
Without waiting for anyone's answer—
Yn quickly walked upstairs again.
And Kakashi's eyes unconsciously followed her until she disappeared.
Yn disappeared upstairs, but the strange silence downstairs stayed behind for a few seconds.
Naruto looked around.
"...Why is everyone acting weird?"
Sakura slowly turned toward Kakashi.
Then toward the stairs.
Then toward Kakashi again.
A suspicious smile slowly appeared on her face.
"Hmmmm..."
Obito narrowed his eyes.
Very suspiciously.
Very, very suspiciously.
Kakashi immediately picked up his orange book.
"...I'm leaving."
Before he could move—
Obito suddenly threw an arm around his shoulder.
"Oi oi oi, Copy Ninja. Leaving so fast?"
Kakashi's eyebrow twitched.
"Move."
Obito grinned.
"Not until you answer my question."
"..."
"...Why were you staring?"
Dead silence.
Naruto blinked.
Sakura blinked.
Rin blinked.
Kakashi froze.
"...I wasn't."
"Liar."
"I wasn't."
"Then why did your brain stop working for five whole seconds?"
"..."
"..."
"..."
Naruto suddenly gasped dramatically.
"WAIT! KAKASHI SENSEI GOT SHY?!"
"PFFT—"
Sakura instantly covered her mouth.
Even Rin looked away trying not to laugh.
A vein appeared on Kakashi's forehead.
"I said I wasn't."
Obito smirked proudly.
"Ohhhh? Then should I ask Yn—"
Before Obito could finish—
Poof!
Smoke appeared.
Kakashi disappeared.
Silence.
Then—
Naruto burst out laughing.
"HE RAN AWAY!"
Outside the house...
Kakashi stood on a tree branch.
The cold evening wind moved through his hair.
"...Idiots."
But for some reason—
his mind wasn't on Obito's teasing.
It wasn't on Minato.
It wasn't even on the mission discussion anymore.
Only one image kept coming back.
White dress.
Red hair.
And Yn standing at the stairs.
Kakashi closed his eyes.
"...Troublesome."
Yet strangely—
his heart still wasn't calm.
Meanwhile upstairs...
Yn had finally changed back into her normal clothes.
She sat near the window and looked outside.
Then quietly looked toward the folded wedding dress beside her.
For a few moments, she stared at it.
Then looked away.
"..."
"...Why did he look at me like that?"
And for the first time—
that question stayed in her mind.

The Wedding Day
Morning...
Today Konoha looked more lively than usual.
The streets were decorated.
People were talking, smiling, moving around happily.
But inside one room—
everything felt different.
Yn sat silently in front of the mirror.
The white wedding dress covered her figure beautifully.
Her reddish hair had been arranged carefully.
Behind her—
Kushina, Rin and Sakura were making final adjustments.
Sakura's eyes sparkled.
"Yn! You look so pretty!"
Rin smiled softly.
"Really beautiful."
Kushina fixed a small strand of Yn's hair beside her face.
"Done."
Silence.
Yn slowly lifted her eyes toward the mirror.
And looked at herself.
For a few seconds—
she simply stared.
"Is this my fate?"
"I wanted to become a clan leader..."
"How did everything become this?"
A small tear escaped from her eye.
Kushina noticed immediately.
Her expression softened.
She gently wiped Yn's tear.
Then quietly kissed her forehead.
"Don't cry."
Yn lowered her eyes.
Outside...
Guests had already gathered.
Small whispers spread among people.
"Isn't she too young?"
"She's Hokage's daughter..."
"I didn't expect this..."
"They say it's for her protection..."
People kept talking.
Some curious.
Some surprised.
Some simply watching.
Then suddenly—
The doors slowly opened.
Everyone looked up.
Yn entered.
Step...
Step...
Step...
No smile.
No excitement.
Just a calm face.
A quiet expression.
Slowly she walked forward.
Toward Kakashi.
Kakashi looked at her silently.
For the first time in a long time—
even he forgot what to say.
The ceremony started.
The officiant spoke calmly.
Words passed by one after another.
But Yn barely heard anything.
Everything felt distant.
Until—
"You may now greet your bride."
Small whispers immediately spread among the guests.
Naruto blinked.
Sakura froze.
Obito stared.
Yn slowly looked up—
only to see Kakashi standing quietly in front of her.
Then—
Kakashi gently placed his hand on her head.
And softly pressed a kiss on her forehead.
No rush.
No excitement.
Just something quiet.
Something careful.
Yn's eyes widened slightly.
The whispers around them suddenly became louder.
But Kakashi didn't say anything.
He simply looked at her.
Night...
Kakashi's house felt unusually quiet.
The room had been decorated by others earlier.
Flowers, lights—
everything arranged neatly.
Yn sat on the edge of the bed silently.
Looking down.
"What happened to my life?"
"How did things change so much?"
Then—
The door slowly opened.
Kakashi entered.
For a moment, neither spoke.
Then Kakashi walked closer.
"...You should rest."
Yn kept looking down.
Then quietly—
"You could have stopped this, Sensei."
Silence.
Kakashi's eyes lowered slightly.
"...It was supposed to protect you."
As soon as those words left his mouth—
Yn's eyes filled again.
"But did anyone ask me what I wanted?"
Silence.
Kakashi looked at her.
Really looked at her.
Not as a student.
Not as responsibility.
Just... Yn.
Slowly, he walk towards yn and knelt down in front of her.
"..."
Then touch Yn’s chin and kissed her forehead softly.
Yn was stunned by Kakashi’s sudden act. Kakashi also surprised by his won action.
Then.......
"...Don't cry."
"... Tears doesn't suit you."
Yn looked at him with surprised eyes.
Kakashi stood up again.
"You should sleep."
Then he walked toward the door.
After some time...
Kakashi returned quietly.
Moonlight entered through the room.
Yn had already fallen asleep near the corner of the bed, curled up slightly.
Kakashi stood there silently.
Then let out a small sigh.
"...Troublesome."
He pulled a blanket over her carefully.
And sat beside the window.
Watching the night sky—
while Yn sleep. Stayed far away from him.
Morning...
Soft sunlight slowly entered through the curtains.
Yn's eyelashes moved slightly.
"Hmm..."
Slowly opening her eyes, she looked around the room.
For a few seconds—
everything felt unfamiliar.
Then suddenly—
Yesterday's memories flashed into her mind.
Wedding.
Guests.
Kakashi.
Her eyes widened.
She immediately sat up.
Then looked around.
"...Sensei?"
Silence.
No answer.
Yn got off the bed quickly.
She checked one side of the room.
Then another.
Bathroom.
Kitchen.
Nothing.
"...Sensei?"
Still nothing.
Then suddenly—
her eyes landed on something beside the bed.
A small folded note.
Yn frowned and picked it up.
Slowly opening it—
her eyes read the words:
"Sorry Yn."
"I have to leave for a long mission."
"Goodbye. Take care."
Silence.
Complete silence.
Yn stared at the paper.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
As if her brain refused to understand it.
Then suddenly—
"What...?"
A few moments later...
Bang!
Minato looked up from his desk in surprise.
"Yn—?"
Yn stood in front of him.
Tightly holding the note.
Her eyes were already becoming red.
She placed the paper in front of Minato.
"What does this mean?"
Silence.
Minato looked at the note.
Then at Yn.
"He said this marriage was to protect me, right?!"
"Then where did he go?!"
"And what does long mission even mean?!"
"Days?! Weeks?! Months?!"
Minato sighed softly.
"It was urgent, Yn."
"And even I don't know how long it—"
"Then why?!"
Yn interrupted.
Tears slowly fell from her eyes.
"Nobody asked me anything before."
"Nobody listened to me."
"And now after all this..."
"...he left too?"
Silence.
Minato couldn't answer immediately.
Because for the first time—
he didn't know what to say.
Yn wiped her eyes angrily.
Then turned and walked away.
Konoha streets...
Yn walked silently.
Without direction.
Without purpose.
Then slowly—
voices reached her ears.
"Look, that's her."
"Kakashi Hatake's wife."
"The Hokage's daughter."
"So young..."
Yn's footsteps slowed.
Kakashi Hatake's wife.
Not Yn.
Not Uzumaki Yn.
Not future clan leader.
Just—
Kakashi Hatake's wife.
Yn lowered her eyes.
"So now..."
"I lost my own name too?"
Then quietly—
she kept walking.
Days passed.
Days turned into weeks.
Weeks turned into months.
Months turned into years.
And years...
turned into five.
Five years later...
Wind blew through Konoha's gates.
A girl stood there silently.
No—
not a girl anymore.
A woman.
Long reddish hair danced in the wind.
Cold eyes.
Sharp gaze.
On her Jonin vest—
the mark of countless battles.
More than 50+ S-rank missions completed.
Always alone.
Never teammates.
Never depending on anyone.
Because somewhere along the way—
Yn learned something:
"If you expect nothing..."
"Nothing can leave you behind."
The soft evening breeze was blowing gently as YN stood by the river, staring at the water in silence.
So many things had changed.
Naruto was now dating Hinata.
Sakura, who once used to follow Sasuke everywhere, was now in a live-in relationship with him.
Obito and Rin… they even had a 3-year-old daughter now. Her name was Rinto.
Everything had moved on.
Everyone had moved on.
But YN… she was still standing still.
Just then, Sakura arrived.
She walked up to YN and started talking, her voice carrying concern.
She could clearly see it—YN was pushing herself too hard. Completing multiple S-rank missions continuously, one after another, without even resting properly.
Sakura hesitated a little, then asked,
“Did you hear something?”
“Y… Sensei… is he coming back today?” Sakura asked, then suddenly stopped, noticing YN wasn’t reacting.
YN stood there silently, staring at the water. No expression. Calm. Empty.
From a distance, Naruto suddenly ran toward them.
“YN!”
But because he was running so fast, he passed her slightly and had to stop, gasping for breath before turning back and standing in front of her.
YN looked at him, slightly irritated at his dramatic entrance.
Naruto finally said,
“Hokage office… they’re calling you.”
YN didn’t even respond properly. In the blink of an eye, she disappeared.
Naruto sighed and shouted after her,
“And Kakashi sensei also said—”
But she was already gone.
Naruto stopped mid-sentence.
“Guess I’ll tell her later…”
—
With a loud crash, YN pushed open the door using her kick.
“Dad!”
she shouted immediately as she entered.
“Today’s mission was too easy. Who the hell made it an S-rank? That idiot must have—”
Minato sighed tiredly from behind his desk.
“That idiot would be me. And before entering my office, can you please knock? You’ve already broken three doors.”
YN only smiled slightly.
Minato pointed toward a corner of the room.
“Look there.”
YN turned her head.
And froze.
Kakashi was standing there.
Her face became cold again.
She looked at Minato and said flatly,
“Is this why you called me here? For some useless reunion?”
Minato tried to speak, but YN raised her hand, stopping him.
“I have a lot of work, Dad. I don’t have time for your emotional gatherings.”
Without looking at Kakashi even once, she turned and left the room.
Kakashi just stood there silently, completely stunned.
Minato sighed.
“…Sorry, Kakashi. You know her.”
—
Later that evening, everyone was gathered.
Sakura, Sasuke, Naruto, Rin, Kakashi.
Only Obito was missing.
Sakura asked,
“Hey, where is Big Bro?”
Naruto casually replied,
“Obito? He probably went to bring YN.”
Just then—
Obito entered.
And YN was on his shoulder, struggling lightly.
“Obiiiiiiii! Put me down!”
Obito calmly said,
“Okay, okay, I’m putting you down.”
He placed her down next to Kakashi’s seat.
YN immediately tried to leave again, but Obito stopped her.
Before she could move, a small hand grabbed her sleeve.
“YN auntie… where are you going? Please stay…”
It was Rinto.
YN froze.
For a moment, her eyes softened.
Then she quietly sat down near Naruto’s seat.
Everyone started eating.
Sakura looked around and asked,
“So… where will YN stay now?”
YN tilted her head slightly.
“Stay?”
Sakura quickly waved her hands nervously.
“Nothing! I was just saying! Hehe 😅”
Naruto casually said,
“Probably at her own place.”
Kakashi asked,
“Her own place?”
Naruto nodded.
“Yeah… after you left five years ago, she stopped staying at your house. She barely even went to her mother’s place either. Eventually she bought her own apartment using all her savings.”
He paused.
“And in these five years… she never once met her mother. Not even spoke to her.”
The atmosphere went silent.
Suddenly—
YN slammed her chopsticks onto Naruto’s head.
“Shut up, dummy.”
Kakashi looked shocked.
Before he could say anything, YN suddenly turned toward him.
Her eyes were sharp.
“Sensei?”
“Hm?”
“You married me to protect me, right?”
Her voice was calm.
“Because in your eyes… I was weak.”
She paused.
“But don’t worry. I’m not weak anymore.”
“I completed more than 50 S-rank missions. I’m a Jonin now. I don’t need protection anymore.”
She stood up slowly.
“The marriage you did as a duty… you don’t have to continue it anymore.”
She looked straight into Kakashi’s eyes.
“Let’s divorce.”
Silence.
No one moved.
No one spoke.
Naruto’s eyes widened.
“…What did she just say?”
Even Kakashi froze, completely shocked.
Sakura nervously said,
“Sensei… you should be thankful she didn’t break your hands and legs for what you did…”
“What did I.....!
Obito snapped.
Do you even realize what you did?!”
“You took that little girl, saying it was for protection… and then you just left on a mission and came back after five years!”
“Did you once ask about her? Did you once check if she was alive or okay?!”
“Five years, Kakashi! FIVE YEARS!”
“Do you know what she did in those five years? She never stopped. She kept fighting, kept surviving, took s rank missions like nothing, kept pushing herself like her life didn’t matter!”
“And you stand here asking what you did?”
Before anything could continue—
Sasuke placed a hand on Obito’s shoulder.
“Obito… stop.”
“Enough. He understands now.”
Everything went silent again.
Kakashi didn’t speak.
He just stood there, frozen… staring at the empty space where YN had been sitting just moments ago.
The silence in the restaurant felt heavier than any battlefield.
No one dared to speak after YN’s words.
“Let’s divorce.”
Those words were still hanging in the air like a curse.
Kakashi didn’t move.
For the first time in years… he looked completely lost.
Then slowly, without saying a single word, he turned and walked out of the restaurant.
Naruto called after him—
“Sensei…”
But Kakashi didn’t stop.
Kakashi stood outside alone.
The wind hit his mask softly.
But inside his mind, everything was loud.
YN’s eyes.
Her voice.
That final sentence.
Let’s divorce.
His hand slowly rose… then stopped mid-air.
“…What did I even protect?”
He lowered his hand again.
And walked away.
---
meanwhile...
The door slammed open.
BAM.
YN stepped inside.
For a moment—silence.
Then her expression twisted.
Not sadness.
Not pain.
Just pure irritation.
She walked straight into the room and grabbed the nearest chair.
THUD.
She threw it across the room.
The glass frame on the wall cracked.
She didn’t even blink.
“Five years…”
She grabbed another object.
THUD.
“This is what you call protection?”
Not a single word or letter!
Not anything.!accept waiting waiting and waiting.
A cup shattered against the floor.
She breathed heavily, not crying—just burning.
Every object in her reach became a target.
Not random rage.
Controlled destruction.
Like she was erasing everything that reminded her of patience.
Then she stopped.
Silence again.
She stood in the middle of the broken room.
Her hand slowly loosened.
“…Tch.”
She clicked her tongue.
And walked past the mess like it didn’t matter.
---
At the same time.
Kakashi stood outside her apartment door.
He could hear it.
The breaking.
The rage.
The silence after it.
His hand slowly lifted toward the door.
Paused.
For the first time… Kakashi looked unsure.
He might be too late to knock.
Next day.....
The morning light was calm over the Hokage building, but inside the office the atmosphere was anything but peaceful.
Minato stood behind his desk, arms crossed, watching both of them.
YN stood straight, expression cold and impatient.
Kakashi stood slightly behind her, silent as always.
Minato finally spoke.
“This is a combined mission.”
YN’s eyes narrowed instantly.
“I already said no.”
Minato didn’t react. Instead, he leaned forward slightly.
“You don’t get to refuse this one.”
He opened a file and placed it on the desk.
“This mission is connected to the enemies targeting you.”
YN’s gaze sharpened.
Minato continued calmly.
“You want answers, don’t you?”
A pause.
“Who is targeting you… why they are targeting you… and who exactly I arranged your marriage to protect you from.”
The room went still.
YN’s expression didn’t soften—but her eyes shifted slightly.
Minato turned his gaze toward Kakashi.
“Kakashi is going with you. He already knows parts of this case.”
Kakashi said nothing.
YN looked at him once.
Then back at Minato.
Without a word, she turned and walked out of the office.
The door slammed behind her.
BAM.
YN walked forward without waiting.
Her footsteps were sharp, controlled.
Kakashi followed silently behind her.
Step… step… step…
No one spoke.
The distance between them felt heavier than words.
Then—
YN suddenly stopped.
But she didn’t turn back.
Her voice came cold.
“You don’t have to come.”
A pause.
Then—
“I’ll go alone.”
Silence.
Kakashi’s eyes shifted slightly.
His voice was calm, but firm.
“No.”
Another pause.
Then he added—
“You’re not going alone.”
YN clicked her tongue.
“Tch…”
She finally turned her head slightly, irritated.
“So what? You think I’m weak again?”
Kakashi didn’t react.
His tone stayed steady.
“No.”
A beat.
“I know you’re not weak.”
That made her pause for half a second.
She turned fully now, eyes sharp.
“Then stop following me.”
Kakashi stepped forward once.
Still calm.
“They aren’t ordinary enemies, YN.”
“They know your patterns. Your missions. Your limits, they knoweverything about you.”
A slight pause.
Then—
“I know them better than you think.”
YN’s irritation rose instantly.
“So now you suddenly care about knowing things?”
Kakashi didn’t answer.
That silence made it worse.
YN turned away sharply.
“Fine.”
She started walking again.
Cold voice over her shoulder—
“Follow if you want. I don’t care.”
She increased her pace.
Kakashi followed behind her.
Always a few steps back.
Always silent.
And the distance between them…
never closed.
