Qiao Anhao only dared to take a sigh of relief when she shut the bathroom door.

After a long while, she turned the tap on with trembling hands. She wanted to calm down a little by washing her face with some cold water.

Al of a sudden, someone violently kicked the bathroom door open.

Qiao Anhao quickly turned her head to find a furious Lu jinnian had strode into the bathroom.

Lu jinnian grabbed her wrist with one hand and forcefully swung it back, slamming her into the wall behind him.

He moved rather rashly, so he wasn't light handed. Qia Anhao 'so back was on fire.

To her surprise, Lu jinnian violently clutched onto her neck in a matter of seconds.

Gasping for breath, Qiao Anhao heard Lu jinnians cold, vicious voice come crushing down on her from above her head.

"Qiao Anhao, I never imagined that you are capable of taking advantage of someone when they're in trouble. You threw yourself at me when I was drunk?!"

With that said, light in Lu jinnian's eyes slightly dimmed, as though a thought that crossed his mind. He shoved Qiao Anhao's neck upward, and lifted her face.

He stared into her eyes. The tone in his voice sounded ice-cold, colder than the air in the bathroom itself.

"Qiao Anhao, if I remember correctly, you acted all innocent on our fist night as married couple. The first thing you said was for me not to touch you! What?we've only been married for two months, and now you've changed your mind?"

When Lu jinnian said that, he showed no emotions on his handsome face. In fact, his glistening dark pupils remained calm and Stoic as usual.

However, he choked her harder as he spoked, which forced the terrifying fury and evil to exude out of his body.

Qiao Anhao recollected everything that happened last night with fear and sick to her stomach...

Last night, Lu jinnian drank quite a lot, and she also drank a little too. Whilst tipsy, she curled into Lu jinnian's arms in a daze.

But she thought that it was a dream!

She only realized that she was still sleeping in Lu jinnian's arms when his phone alarm went off next morning.

It felt that her entire body was electrocuted. After a few seconds in utter shock, she finally realized that everything that happened night before wasn't dream at all.

She and Lu jinnian had been married for two months now. However, they didn't marry for love, and public didn't know that they're husband and wife.

So within the last two months, they respectively didn't touch each other like strangers when outside the house.

Qiao Anhao's Anxiousness intensified under his interrogation. Even her toes were trembling. She bit down on her lips stunned for a long while, unable to say a word.

Lu jinnian also stopped talking, seemingly patient.

Silence fell on the room, and he continued to look unwaveringly at her pretty face.

Qiao Anhao was a bundle of nerves as she felt her thoughts being read by Lu jinnian. Her heart raced and just when she couldn't withstand the pressure any longer, Lu jinnian spoke, breaking the silence, "or have you always wanted to be in my bed..."

Panic flashed across her eyes. Trying desperately to hide her feelings, she blurted out, "I want a role in" To the end of time!"

Lu jinnian stopped mid-sentence, unable to continue.

Qiao Anhao may have spoken too fast, as it didn't seem like he heard what she said. In fact, he looked completely stuck in a trance, and stood silently there for a long time.

She ffeltas though her heart was about to leap out of her throat. She struggled to calm down, staring straight at his flawless face. Keeping her composure, she continued, "As you know, it's been more than half a year since my debut, but I haven't taken any substantial roles. Since you held so much authority in this industry, just a word would definitely secure me a role."

Qiao Anhao froze briefly. After about five seconds, she pressed her lips into a tight line. Slowly, she continued," So everything that happened last night was my payment to you".

Registering her words, Lu jinnian's pupils shrunk sharply. As though trying to suppress his anger, the fingers on her neck started trembling.

Suddenly, he burst into laughter. "Qiao Anhao, are you trying to play games with me?"

Lu jinnian chuckled, a short laugh no more than two counts, before the smile disappeared. He glared sharply at her, then spoke with a cruel tone of voice.

"Alright then, Qiao Anhao. You want to play games with me? Okay! I'll be sure to break you!"

Lu Jinnian glared at Qiao Anhao as if wanted to tear her apart. Clenching his teeth, he spat out his last sentence before ruthlessly removing his hands from her neck. Without sparing her another glance, he left.

I'm going to mess with you until you die..

Qiao Anhao's long lashed trembled slightly as he face paled. She remained glued to the wall until door slam resounded. Only then did she swallow the saliva that had formed behind her tightly clasped lips. Exhausted she collapsed to the ground, tears clouding her vision.

Why should she climb into his bed just to act in "To the End of Time"?

She just wanted to use it as an excuse to conceal her real feelings.

Feeling on my kept to herself. Her love for him.

She loved him. She was secretly in love with him for the past thirteen years, never daring or allowing herself to let him know.

She thought that if she just concealed her feelings, everything would turn out alright. But never would she have known that one night, slightly intoxicated, she would expose her deepest secret. She had clearly overestimated her own abilities.

Even though Qiao Anhao had infuriated Lu Jinnian by climbing into his bed, she still received a phone call from the crew three days later, informing her to go for an audition.

Since the role was obtained through undignified means, the audition was just a formality. Directly after it, she signed the contract.

Three days later, she officially joined the crew, just a day before Lu Jinnian had flown off to a Rome to film a new movie. The married couple of two months went their separate ways.

After three months of filming "To the End of Time", the television drama successfully finished off in a rented mansion worth thirty million dollars the whole crew erupted in joy, the happiest being the director. He picked up his phone and generously booked top floor dinning hall of Jing Cheng hotel, treating while crest to a celebratory meal.

"To the End of Time" ended around 3 pm in afternoon. The technical crew needed to pack up their equipment and actors needed to remove their makeup and change, hence celebratory meal was set at night, around 8 pm.

Lu Jinnian had been in Rome all that time due to filming of his new movie. Using limited two day break in between his tight schedule, he returned to country to settle sudden issue arisen in the company.

Due to the time constraint, Lu Jinnian barely had any time to rest from long flight. Right after landing, he went straight to the company.

Without wasting time, meeting started the minute he entered. Board has already gathered and was waiting for his arrival.

Meeting lasted from 3 pm afternoon all way to 6 pm at evening. Lu Jinnian's assistant followed him into his office and gave a run-down of his schedule.

After long flight and meeting that last for while afternoon, Lu Jinnuan looked exhausted. Sitting in his office, he causally took out his phone he had on silent while listening to his assistant report his schedule.

Just as he was about to lock his phone, a message came in. Lu Jinnian smoothly clicked it open, "To the End of Time" filming completed. There'll be a celebratory banquet tonight at 8 pm in Jeng Cheng hotel. Do drop by if you have the time! ".

"Mr Lu, I've already booked 12am ticket to Rome. After touchdown you can rest up for almost fifteen hours before your next shoot."

Lu Jinnian didn't say a word while his assistant gave a run-down on his schedule. Instead, he stared at WeChat message for about five seconds before lifting his head indifferently. He nodded towards his assistant, acknowledging his report.

Lu Jinnian's assistant had been working for him fir many years, hence he was well acquainted with his boss aloof personality. Unperturbed by his lack of concern, he continued, "Mr Lu, there are about six hours before the flight takes off. Would you like to have sinned in city or at airport?"

"In the city", Lu Jinnian replied faintly. Before assistant could ask about the location, "Jeng Cheng hotel"

When Lu Jinnian and his assistant finished their meal, it was already 8.30 pm. They footed the bill before proceeding to the main door. Just as they reached it, Lu Jinnian stopped.

His assistant stopped immediately as well."Mr Lu, is something wrong?"

Lu Jinnian remained silent for a while and just when his assistant was started debating whether or not to repeat the question, he replied, "Wait for me in the car, I have something to do upstairs."

He stood at the main door for a few more seconds before turning towards the lift.

As per the crew in "To the End of Time", Qiao Anhao was naturally at the dinner. The minute she reached the city, she had hurriedly bathed, changed her clothes, done her hair, applied light makeup before rushing to the hotel. Despite preparing in record time, Qiao Anhao was still late for dinner. When she reached, "To the End of Time" director was already on the stage, addressing crowd, expressing his gratitude.

Since everyone was focused on director, no one noticed her late arrival. She stood in the crowd, looking around before making a beeline for her manager Zhao Meng.

After the director's brief speech, the dinner began.

Since it was a banquet, socializing and alcohol were customary.

She clutched tighter onto her chopsticks. Her heart started to race. Then, her eyes followed the crowd's gaze, and spotted Lu Jinnian.

The memory of 3 months ago resurfaced. She remembered getting strangled by Lu Jinnian after climbing into his bed....

"Qiao Anhao, are you trying to play with me?

"Good, Qiao Anhao, you want to play? I'll play till the end!"

He must have been very angry that day to have said such things.

For the past three months, she had been hiding from him. Despite her efforts, she still met him in the end.

Dressed in a well-fitted black suit, Lu Jinnian's tall and trim physique was accentuated. As the bright lights in the banquet hall fell on his face, his originally exquisite facial features became three-dimensional. His sharp nose bridge, thin lips, strong brows were dazzling.

The director held onto the wine, fawning all over Lu Jinnian with a smile plastered on his face.

Qiao Anhao was eating in the seating area. Initially, when she was still a distance away from him with the crowd shielding her, she had the courage to look at him. But as he came closer, she only dared to sneak occasional peeks.

When Lu Jinnian was finally about to reach her, she didn't even dare to lift her head. Cautiously, she remained in her seat, motionless, no longer moving her chopsticks, no longer as carefree as before.

When Qiao Anhao first fell in love with him, her dreams were constantly filled with him. As time went by, she became afraid of seeing him. Whenever he was near her, she would be drowned in fear and anxiety. And these feelings only intensified after events 3 months ago..

At this very moment, Lu Jinnian was sitting behind her. All her senses heightened as she grew aware of his voice and his breath. Her palms were drenched in sweat from anxiety.

Lu jinnian and director's conversation centered around movies and dramas. Even though he didn't say much, Qiao Anhao's heart trembled at his every word.

No longer able to withstand the pressure, Qiao Anhao put down her chopsticks threw excuse of toilet and stood up. But the moment she stood up, he stood up as well.

The washroom was behind Qiao Anhao and dinning hall exit was behind Lu Jinnian. Hence, just as she turned, he turned as well. Their gazes collided.

Just a glance at Lu Jinnian caused Qiao Anhao to frantically lower her head, avoiding his eyes.

The two of them now have been married for five months, but the news had never been publicized. To the public, two were strangers to each other.

Qiao Anhao clenched her fists tightly. Trying to calm her rapidly pounding heart. Attempting to act like everyone else, as though they were indeed strangers, she greeted him politely, "Good evening, Mr. Lu."

Lu Jinnian remained straight-faced, not moving, his gaze uncertain, giving the impression that he hadn't heard her greeting at all. After a long while, he suddenly blinked. Turning, he took a detour before taking long strides out the dinning hall.

Lu Jinnian had a cold and aloof personality that made it difficult for others to get close. His authority in the entertainment industry further instilled fear in others, forcing them to behave carefully around him.
