"Veron!" I heard my best friend Mira call my name. I looked around where she is and I saw her sitting on a sofa in the corner with a table in front while holding a cocktail. I approached her and sat down on the vacant chair in front of her.

we are here now at the ZZYZX club because we decided to party tonight. I look at Mira and I notice a strange smile on her lips. I raised an eyebrow at her. "What's up?" I asked her while drinking the cocktail she ordered before I arrived earlier.

"well guess what? I've heard Maximus and Cindy Fajardo broke up already." she said with a smile. I suddenly stopped sipping cocktail because of what she said. "Really? Who did you hear that from?" I asked her with one eyebrow raised. She rolled her eyes at me. "Who else? Of course Jiro!" oh yeah I forgot her cousin Jiro Salazar who is a close friend of Maximus Mondragon.

"Why did they break up?" I said while sipping my cocktail. "hmm .. Jiro told me there was a third party involved." I did not answer and let her continue. "but my cousin's prediction is that Cindy is just making an excuse to break up with Max." well that's a good news for me right? I had a crush on Max for a long time and Mira knew that. Mirasol Salazar is my only best friend since high school so she is the only one who knows that I have always admired Maximus. and of course I am the only one who knew that she likes Max's younger brother Marcus Mondragon.

"well let's have a toast for their break-up!" I raised my glass to her and she did the same and we drank it together. while I was drinking I noticed Mira stopped sipping her drink and I saw her eyes widen slightly while looking around behind me then she looked back at me with her evil smile. I suddenly got confused when I turned around and saw Mira's cousin Jiro with Maximus! and they are going to where we are!

when they got close to us I felt I was suddenly drunk when I smelled Max's perfume it was so manly and sexy I couldn't help but sigh. ugh! this man! I really like the smell of him. suddenly I hear Mira cough so I turned to her "Hi guys! wanna join us? or.. do you have a date?" she asked while smiling. my eyes widened at what she said! seriously ?! Jiro smiled at what his cousin said and turned to Maximus. I also looked at it and saw him staring at me. I felt my cheek heat up!

Gosh! why is he staring at me? "uhh .. why?" I asked with my arched brows because I was slightly distracted by his gaze. he shook his head and just nodded to Jiro and left first.

Jiro also said goodbye to us "see you around ladies!" and said that he would follow Maximus and leave.
