Chapter 1

The Moon Temple stood high above the kingdom, hidden between mountains where the clouds touched the earth.

At night, the temple looked softer somehow.

Moonlight spilled across the white marble walls, turning them silver beneath the dark sky while small candles flickered quietly

through the open halls. White flowers climbed around the tall pillars surrounding the courtyard, their petals moving gently whenever the cold night breeze passed through the temple.

Everything felt peaceful there.

Far away from the noise of the kingdom.

Far away from the heavens watching from above.

She walked slowly across the marble floor barefoot, the soft bells around her ankles giving quiet sounds with every step.

Her long blue skirt brushed against the ground behind her while silver jewelry resting against her waist shimmered beneath the moonlight.

The full moon hung high above the open courtyard.

Bright.

Beautiful.

Watching silently.

For a moment, she simply stood beneath it quietly, letting the cold wind move through her long dark hair.

One slow step forward.

Her hand lifted gracefully into the air while the other rested lightly against her waist. The flowing fabric around her legs moved softly as her body turned beneath the silver light, elegant and effortless like water following the moon.

The temple became quieter.

Only the sound of her ankle bells remained.

She spun slowly across the courtyard, moonlight slipping across her skin while her hair followed behind her in soft dark waves.

Her fingers moved delicately through the cold air as though she were tracing invisible stars around herself.

Dancing always made the loneliness disappear.

At least for a little while.

The wind entered the courtyard gently now, lifting the ends of her skirt while candles flickered softly against the temple walls.

Somewhere outside, the fountains continued flowing quietly beneath the night sky.

Peaceful.

Almost dreamlike.

A small smile appeared on her lips as she closed her eyes briefly, letting the moonlight fall across her face while her body continued moving naturally with the silence around her.

Then suddenly-

the wind changed.

Not stronger.

Just different.

Like the air itself had shifted around her.

Her movements slowed slightly.

A strange feeling settled over her skin.

Like someone was watching her.

Her eyes opened slowly.

The temple remained silent.

Only shadows rested between the tall pillars surrounding the courtyard while moonlight continued pouring across the marble floor.

Nothing moved.

Still...

the feeling refused to disappear.

Her gaze drifted toward the darkness beyond the pillars again before she quietly looked away, trying to ignore the strange feeling inside her chest.

Maybe it was simply the full moon making her restless tonight.

She continued dancing beneath the moonlight, slower now, softer, her movements flowing naturally with the silence surrounding the temple.

The bells around her ankles echoed quietly through the courtyard while silver light slipped across the marble floor beneath her feet. One hand lifted gracefully above her head as she spun gently, the blue fabric of her skirt moving around her like water.

Then-

soft footsteps echoed somewhere behind her.

Unlike the cold silence of the temple, these footsteps felt light.

Warm.

Familiar.

"You disappear here every night and still act surprised when I find you."

A quiet laugh followed shortly after.

She stopped spinning slowly before turning toward the temple hallway connected to the courtyard.

And there she was.

The Goddess of Nature stepped beneath the moonlight like spring walking into winter.

Flowing green silk wrapped around her figure while sheer layers fell softly from her arms like flower petals caught in the wind.

Unlike the cold silver beauty of the temple, her clothing carried warmth-soft shades of sage green, gold embroidery shaped like vines, and tiny emerald stones shining beneath the candlelight.

A delicate gold belt rested around her waist, thin chains falling gently against the layered skirt flowing behind her. Her shoulders were decorated with jewelry shaped like branches and flowers, wrapping elegantly around her skin.

And above her long dark hair rested a golden tiara made of twisting vines and tiny green crystals.

Beautiful.

Alive.

Even the flowers surrounding the pillars seemed brighter when she entered the courtyard.

She looked completely different from the cold beauty of the Moon Temple.

Alive.

Warm.

Like spring standing beneath winter moonlight.

"You're awake late," she said softly.

The nature goddess jiminie smiled while walking down the marble steps into the courtyard.

"And miss seeing the Moon Goddess dancing dramatically beneath the full moon?" she teased quietly. "Never."

A small smile appeared on her lips despite herself.

The Goddess of Nature stepped closer before sitting near one of the marble pillars, watching her carefully while the wind moved softly through the courtyard.

"You dance differently during full moons," she said after a moment.

"How?"

"Softer," she replied quietly. "Like you're talking to the moon instead of dancing for it, like you're asking for something which no one can give you."

Silence settled gently between them.

The moonlight reflected softly against the temple walls while the fountains outside continued flowing through the quiet night.

For the first time that evening, the loneliness inside the temple didn't feel so heavy anymore.

But somewhere beyond the silver pillars-

hidden within the shadows-

someone still watched silently.

chapter 2

The cold wind moved through the hall gently while candles continued flickering beneath the silver light above.

Then-

the atmosphere changed.

Not stronger.

Not louder.

Just...

different.

The Goddess of Nature noticed her expression changing slowly.

"What is it?" she asked quietly.

Her eyes remained fixed on the shadows between the marble pillars surrounding the Dance Hall.

"...Nothing."

But it wasn't nothing.

The strange feeling inside her chest had returned again.

Like someone was standing somewhere beyond the moonlight-

watching her silently.

The Goddess of Nature followed her gaze toward the shadows before speaking softly,

"You should return to your chambers soon. The full moon always makes this temple feel strange."

But even after hearing those words-

her eyes still drifted back toward the darkness between the pillars.

After a few moments, the Goddess of Nature stood slowly from the marble floor.

"I have sunrise prayers tomorrow," she sighed dramatically. "Unlike you, some of us actually sleep."

A small smile appeared on her lips.

The Goddess of Nature stepped closer before fixing the silver chain slipping from her shoulder.

"And stop drowning yourself in moonlight every night," she muttered softly. "One day the stars are going to steal you away."

The bells around her ankles chimed quietly when she looked toward the moon above.

"Maybe I already belong to them."

For a moment, silence settled gently between them.

Then the Goddess of Nature finally turned toward the temple hallway, green silk flowing behind her while candlelight flickered softly against the walls.

Her footsteps slowly faded into the distance.

And once again-

the Dance Hall became silent.

Only moonlight remained.

Cold wind entered softly through the open arches while silver light poured across the marble floor beneath the heavens above.

She stood alone near the center of the hall, though the strange feeling inside her chest still refused to disappear.

Someone was still there.

Watching.

The bells around her ankles echoed softly when she turned toward the shadows surrounding the pillars.

"...come out."

Silence.

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then-

movement.

A figure slowly stepped from the darkness beyond the pillars.

Tall.

Dressed in black.

Moonlight slipped across his face little by little as he walked forward carefully, as though he wasn't meant to exist inside a sacred place like this.

Long dark hair fell against his forehead while shadows rested quietly inside his eyes.

Beautiful.

But dangerous in a way she couldn't explain.

The cold wind moving through the hall suddenly felt heavier around him.

Her breathing slowed quietly.

No human should have been able to enter this place.

Yet somehow-

he stood beneath the moonlight like the darkness itself had walked into the temple.

Neither of them spoke at first.

The silence between them felt strangely alive.

Then softly, she asked,

"Who are you?"

For several seconds, he simply stared at her.

Then finally-

"Jungkook."

The name echoed quietly through the hall.

Simple.

But strangely unforgettable.

The wind moved softly through the temple again, lifting the ends of her blue skirt around her legs while silver moonlight slipped across his face.

"You've been watching me," she said after a moment.

"Yes."

No hesitation.

No guilt.

Only honesty.

"Why?"

His eyes stayed on her silently for several seconds before he answered quietly,

"The first time I came here by accident..."

His voice lowered slightly.

"But now I stay because I can't leave."

For some reason-

her heart forgot how to remain calm beneath the moonlight.

Then suddenly-

somewhere deep within the temple, a bell rang loudly.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

Her expression changed immediately.

The sacred bells rarely rang at this hour.

Cold wind rushed through the Dance Hall while the candles surrounding the pillars flickered violently. Somewhere beyond the mountains, thunder echoed across the sky again.

Then-

for one brief second-

the moonlight dimmed.

Not naturally.

Like the night itself had suddenly grown afraid.

Her breath caught softly.

The flowers surrounding the pillars slowly began to close beneath the cold wind.

Even the temple felt different now.

Unsettled.

Slowly, her eyes lifted back toward him.

"Who are you really.?" she whispered.

Jungkook stayed silent.

But the sadness inside his eyes suddenly looked older than the night itself.

Then quietly-

almost like he already knew something she didn't-

he stepped backward into the shadows again.

And before disappearing completely, he looked at her one last time beneath the fading moonlight.

As though this would not be the last time fate dragged them toward each other.

Then he vanished.

Leaving behind only silence...

and the strange feeling that something forbidden had just entered her destiny.
