His Play Thing
Intro
A girl
trapped in
the unknown place
Rain hammered against the windows like restless fingers.
The girl woke slowly, her head throbbing. Everything around her felt wrong. The ceiling above her was wooden, stained dark with age, and a single yellow bulb flickered overhead.
.
A chain!?
"She sat up too fast"
Pain shot through her wrist.
Her breathing stopped for a second as she stared at the metal cuff locked around her hand, attached to the bedframe.
.
(The room smelled like dust and old rainwater. There were no pictures on the walls, no signs of life. Just a wardrobe in the corner and a locked door)
"Trying to remember"
*Her chest tightened*
The last thing she remembered was walking home after the evening bus dropped her near the market. Someone had been behind her. Footsteps maybe. Then darkness.
.
“HELP!”
she screamed, throwing herself toward the door. The chain snapped tight and dragged her back onto the mattress.
Silence answered.
Then—
Footsteps.
Slow.
Heavy.
Coming from outside the room.
She froze.
The doorknob turned carefully.
A tall figure stepped inside wearing a black coat and a pale expressionless mask. Not a single piece of skin showed. The mask had hollow eye holes that seemed too dark to be human.
.
"Scrambled backward against the wall"
.
Who are you?!,Why am I here?!
*shouted*
The masked figure said nothing.
Just stood there.
Watching.
The silence was worse than shouting.
.
You kidnapped me!?
"voice shaking". Please… please let me go.
The figure walked toward the small table beside the bed and placed down a tray of food and water.
Then finally, a voice emerged from behind the mask.
Low. Calm.
Unknown
Dania you want to survive, you need to stop trying to escape at night.
*deep Voice*

What does that mean?
"A chill ran through her body"
The masked man slowly turned his head toward the window.
Outside, beyond the rain-covered glass, something moved in the forest.
Not a person.
Something taller.
Something watching the house.
The masked figure looked back at her.
Unknown
They already know you're here!

Horrifying Truth
Dhania Irom/FL
He isn’t alone!?
*whisper*
"pressed her trembling fingers against the words carved into the wall"
The sentence dragged something from the back of her mind — a memory she had tried to bury for years. Rain. A broken streetlight. Her mother screaming at someone in the dark while a little girl hid behind the car door.
That little girl was Dhania.
Dhania Irom/FL
"breathing quickened as another memory surfaced":
(a man in a black coat kneeling in front of her after the accident, whispering softly,)
Unknown
“You didn’t see my face, okay?”
Back then, she thought it was only a nightmare born from grief.
But now, trapped inside the silent house, hearing footsteps outside her door every single night, Dhania realized the horrifying truth:
The man who kidnapped her wasn’t a stranger.
He had been part of her past all along
It was Night, Dhania couldn’t sleep.
The memories kept crashing into her mind like waves —
Dhania Irom/FL
A silver necklace!?
(The accident, the man’s voice, the feeling of cold rain soaking her clothes as she cried beside the road. She remembered one more thing now: before disappearing, the man had taken something from her mother’s hand)
The same necklace now hung from a hook beside the locked door.
Dhania Irom/FL
"Stare at it"
*scared*
Footsteps echoed through the hallway again. Slow. Heavy. Getting closer.
The door creaked open for the first time.
Unknown
"The masked man stepped inside, carrying a lantern that painted the room in deep orange light. He stood silently for a moment before removing his gloves"
Dhania Irom/FL
"heart stopped"
Dhania Irom/FL
"Notices something"
😯
On his wrist was a faded burn scar shaped like a crescent moon — the exact scar her mother’s old friend, Daniel, used to have.
Unknown
You remember me now?
"he said quietly"
Dhania Irom/FL
Why are you doing this?
"backed away, her voice shaking"
😦
Unknown
Because your mother was never supposed to die that night.
