His father, Jeon Minho, watched him from across the table with sharp, suspicious eyes.

Jungkook nodded silently, but his heart was hammering against his ribs. He wasn't safe. The monster had already found him.

Across the city, inside a massive glass skyscraper hidden from the public, a very different world was moving.

Kim Taehyung sat behind a heavy black desk, staring at a single security document. On the paper was a blurry picture of Jungkook standing in the rainy alley. The office was completely silent, filled only with the rich, heavy scent of cedarwood and expensive leather.

His top assistant, a serious alpha, stood at attention across from him.

Taehyung didn't look up from the picture. His long, black-gloved fingers idly traced the edges of Jungkook’s face on the paper.

A faint, dangerous smile appeared on Taehyung’s lips. His dark eyes flashed with an obsessive, terrifying light.
