PROLOGUE

How much meaning or worth does someones voice is in your life?

Well for Malay it was worth everything, he was ready to give away everthing in return for finding someone with the help of her voice.

Who was this girl? That malay was ready to giveaway everything for her?

What did she did?

CHARACTERS-

4. Yash Mehrotra – Malays best friend and heir of sigma group of companies.

DR.Tasha Mehra a cardiologist in new leaf hospital, is a very amazing and a hasty personality or you can say one of a kind. She is a kind of person that no one would mess with. She got an attitude that one cant shatter, but behind this unlikable personality there is a very soft and kind person, a side which she never shows anyone. She was not always like this, a gentle, kind, caring, and lovely person turned this way because no one never really appreciated her this side. They all took it for granted, when there is too much weight on your head you reduce it by throwing away things which doesn't matter anymore. She did this by throwing away her attitude and replaced it with the new one. People may not like it but it doesn't matter to her anymore.

It was a usual busy day for her, as her routine she headed to her regular store to get beer and then to her quiet place, the lake on her way home. As the way to her home was pretty spooky and abandoned no one really used to stall near, so she had all the time to herself at her favorite spot, with a chilling beer. But this time her peaceful time got interrupted by large thud.

what was that sound?, it sure was a sound of a crash. She ran quickly to the road only to find a car crashed in one of the trees roadside. She ran quickly towards the car and saw the driver still conscious, but was pretty injured. She called ambulance and gave him on the spot first aid till the time ambulance reached him.

Tasha took him to the hospital and informed his parents and left as soon as they reached. The injured person was no one else but the heir of new leaf foundation, Malay Saxena. The hospital where tasha worked. She wasn't aware of this at all. Malay has the total opposite personality, he was kind, honest and straightforward person. As the heir of such a big foundation or company he was responsible and quiet mature for his age. As his injuries were not that bad and because of dr. tasha's emergency first aid he recovered early. But he wanted only one thing after his recovery and that was the person who saved his life. Dr.Tasha was given a lifetime opportunity to work with europe's top doctors and researchers for 3 years. This opportunity she couldn't let go and accepted it. During the span of 3 years ,malay couldn't forget her and kept on searching for her. But the only source of searching her was by her voice.

After 3 years tasha returned back but she wasn't same, she changed , because of the things she saw and faced there over this time. She became more calm and quiet.

She hid it well from others but it was noticeable, and of course the person who cared and loved her couldn't  stand this silence of her. Dr. Seher verma was tasha's best friend since the first day of the college, she saw tasha going through hard time and all her sufferings. And she was the only person whom tasha could talk too. But this time it was different, cause tasha doesn't want to speak. Seher was worried about what really happened to her in these years that changed her?

So she decided to confront her and ask her what happened. After finishing her shift seher went to tasha's office. To her surprise , the office was dark there was no one she thought, but when she was walking out of the office she heard sobbing sounds coming from the bathroom.

tasha is that you in the bathroom?

She reached the bathroom door, but hesitated for a while than mustered up her courage and opened the door. Tasha was sitting on the floor and was crying herself out.

tasha what in the world happened to you ? why are you crying in the bathroom with all the lights off ? I've been observing you from the day you arrived, somethings off, it wont mend itself until you say what's really the matter is?

what can I say, I cant do anything, I am useless, I cant protect anyone. Why the hell am I a doctor then, when I cant even save someone who means a lot to me, Why ?

(tasha said crying)

Seher - What happened there, whom you cant save ?

Tasha you need to tell me, or how can I help you. I know its hard and I can help you, but you have to let me know everything. You can trust me , you know that right.

Tasha -  you are the only person I trust after mom seher.

Seher – than you need to tell me everything. Ok everything.

Tasha told seher the story, the tragedy that she was going through.

Over her work in Europe, tasha had an assistant , Rose , a very charming , cute and cheerful soul. Tasha liked her company very much. She was different from others, wasn't selfish and most importantly she understood tasha the most there. Rose replaced seher for a while, but one day she collapsed suddenly while working. After thorough examination and tests, it showed that she was suffering from last stage leukemia. It was very late , still tasha tried her best to treat her, because of roses condition tasha couldn't focus on her work , she was getting down day by day. When Rose heard this she couldn't take it and asked tasha to focus on her work and that she will be alright. Tasha promised her that she will save rose at all cost. But despite of all this tasha was very near in failing the research, rose couldn't take this, she cant see the person she love failing like this, so she took a huge step. Next morning when tasha went to see rose, she found her dead. She was shocked, had mixed emotions, but she broke when she was handed the letter rose left for her. The thing written in the letter was –

Dear tasha,

You came into my life as a sunshine after heavy rain and storm, I never thought that I would love someone again after all the hardships I've been through , but you made me realize that we can still love after getting broken. I don't love you as like friends, I love you as love .  yes tasha I am different from others, but I can love you right and I cant see the person I love going through hard times because of me. No tasha you don't deserve that, a person so amazing and capable like you cant fail. And this research is your dream . so forget everything and fulfill your dream. You remember that you promised me that you will make my wish come true. This is my wish tasha, I want you to complete this project and be on top. You will make it come true right ?

I am sorry I couldn't say a proper goodbye to you, but I hope that  in my next life, I can be healthy and can love you openly.

After reading the letter seher fell silent, when she saw tasha before, she could only see emptiness, but now she could see her emotions well. She asked herself, how can I pull her out of this thing and the one thing that's bothering me the most is , that did tasha liked rose the same way rose did ? and how can I even ask her this ? but judging from the situation what conclusion can I probably come upon ?

These questions were meant to be answered but what answers were awaiting her? Seher took tasha home with her , made her eat and decided to ask her when she was sober enough.

As hard these 3 years was for tasha it was same for malay too. He kept

on searching tasha with nothing as a clue except for her voice. But despite

everything he didn’t lost hope and kept on going, because of the power he had

as the heir of new leaf, he overused it to search for seher. This created

conflict between him and his dad. As the CEO of new leaf, his father was

responsible for everything. Whatever malay did , his father was the one who got

the blame. He tried to stop malay but he was too stubborn to listen.

He stopped attending college, drinking, late night clubs. He let out his

frustration by doing all these things. Which made the matter more complicated.

But he was determined to find tasha, he searched almost every single girl of

the city. Made a copy of her voice by the help of technicians. He spent a lot

of money but still failed. His condition was worsening day by day then finally

a ray of hope appeared in front of him at the coffee shop, when he heard

tasha’s voice again. He followed her, but couldn’t see her face and she

vanished.  His world was alive again, the

emotions he was feeling were not normal, there was a rush of adrenaline in his

whole body, heartbeats were faster then the normal ones. If his BP were to be

measured then it would sure be 150/ 100 overexcited heart, faster beats because

of excess secretion of adrenaline, he felt almost breathless. This thing it

wasn’t normal at all, and also it doesn’t happen all the time, all this happen

just because of tasha’s voice, that’s how powerful and meaningful her voice was

to malay. It was the first time in 3 years that he smiled. For a moment the

time stopped around him all he could think was the first time he heard tasha. That

blurry image of her played in front of his eyes , due to his head injury he

couldn’t see her face clearly but he remembered her blurry face.

Then suddenly the barista shouted

–

“dr. you left your card here”

Malay – it’s the card of the girl whom you were talking too right ?

Barista – yes sir dr. left it here.

Malay – give it to me I’ll give it back to her..

Barista – but we can’t give it to you sir, we don’t know if you really

know her. We can’ t trust you with our customer’s belonging.

Malay- that’s understandable but I am her employer , I am the heir of

new leaf the place she works, and you can have my number, address and whatever

to make you satisfy and so you can trust.

Malay gave the barista all his information including phone number,

address, workplace address and number etc.

After getting the card from barista, he immediately rushed to the

hospital and then to the psychology department. There he saw seher in her

office, 3 years may sound a bit less but for malay they were the longest years

of his life, as he didn’ t saw tasha’s face clearly , when he saw seher he

thought she is the one whom he was looking for all these years and there was a

very light difference in seher and tasha’s voice which made things more

complicated but little did he knew how much more complicated and twisted his

and others life were going to be after this. He realized that he just kept

staring her for a while until seher noticed him.

Seher- hello sir , do you have an appointment here?

Malay – not really but can I get one dr. seher ?

Seher – yes of course sir but you need to get it from the reception. Or

my assistant can help you.

Malay – ya sure, anything’s fine.

Malay got appointment from seher’s assistant and he started meeting

seher, posing to be ill. This continued for about 2 months but seher started to

get suspicious as she realized that malay wasn’t really ill or had any

condition. Then one day she saw an article on the hospital’s website regarding

the announcement of the company’s future CEO. Malay was featured in the

article, that was the moment she realized that he was alright and was just

posed to be ill. But why, why would he do that, what reason did he had ? all

these questions was swarming in her head, and then she collided with tasha in

the corridor.

Tasha – easy there, where you going bestie ?

Seher – ohh tasha sorry I didn’t saw you there.

Tasha – it’s fine, what happened you look anxious, confused and angry at

the same time.

Seher – it’s a long story babes, I don’t know anything now my head it

hurting so much, I can’t think much.

Tasha – our shift’s about to get over let’s talk over dinner what’s say.

Seher – sounds good and it’s been a while since we ate together. After

you recovered.

Tasha – ya you’re right, we can talk about life together again and also

our future.

Seher – yes definitely there’s so much I’ve been dying to vent on you.

Tasha – I am always here for you dear BFF.

After both there shift got over, tasha and seher went to there favorite restaurant

for dinner, there seher told tasha about everything and also asked her what she

should do next.

Tasha -  this thing sure is

complicated but if you want to know why he did what he did you definitely need

to confront him and ask him nicely you know have a nice talk. What’s say ?

Seher – hmm.. damn girl you’re right why such a simple thing came into

my head.

Tasha – when we are confused or have too much on our mind our brain

releases too many chemicals which retards our thinking and logic abilities,

that’s why we can’t think straight when we are in crises and make rash decisions.

So for result you should consult someone else about your problems.

Seher – now I know why you are a top doctor of the country.

Tasha -  you sound like you

doubted me all these time.

Seher – of course not, just complimenting you. So I should talk to him

about this right, ahh I am so nervous how am I going to break the ice ? this is

bad.

Tasha -  I’ll be fine don’t worry I

am sure he might have a valid reason for what he did.

Seher – you’re right.

Seher wasn’t totally honest with tasha, she hid something from her, about

her feelings towards malay, she started having them long now, she was scared as

if what was going to happen next. But still she decided to talk to malay. She texted

him to meet her next day at her office @11 am. Malay responded quickly with an

ok sign. What awaited all of there life, they had totally no idea.
