Sujata was about to speak then a hand came from behind her. She passed out the very moment.
Ranveer looks at Sujata and around her surrounding. A single tear escapes his eye. He nods once.
In the next couple of hours, the contract was signed. Both Ranveer and Sujata were sent back to their house by Rudransh's men.
3 weeks later from the incident.
The environment in the hospital room is not of celebration but of silent funeral.
Then, suddenly the door opens.
Rudransh and his men enters the room. His men form a circle around the hospital bed.

*ask Ranveer.*
"Girl or Boy?"
Ranveer Shekhawat (FL's Father)
*look down at the floor, away from Sujata. His voice barely above a whisper.*
"Girl..."
Tears stream down Sujata's cheeks as her grip tighten around the infant.
Rudransh's lips curve in a predatory smile. He slides off his Signet ring and holds it out toward Ranveer.
Ranveer looks at the ring in confusion.
Rudransh takes Ranveer's hand and place the ring on his palm, closing his fingers around it. He then turns toward the sleeping infant.
Rudransh places his hand on the infant's head with surprising gentleness.

"Take care of my daughter-in-law."
With that Rudransh and his men walk out of the room.
The ring slides off his grip. He falls down on his knees and in his own...eyes.
The Proposal
Saanvi is sitting on a bench out in the garden.
Sujata come in the garden and sit down beside her on the bench.

*take a deep breath.*
"I need to tell you something."

*look at her.*
"ji, maa?"
Sujata is still looking at the ground. She says with great efforts.

"Now that... you're of age.... Papa and I want you to get...married."
Saanvi stand up abruptly. Her eyes become wide.

*stand up and say in a firm voice.*

Saanvi go straight to Ranveer's study.
The door of the study burst open with a violent motion, revealing Ranveer standing at the window looking out in the garden.

"Papa, maa is saying that I have to...marry."
Ranveer turns to face Saanvi. He straighten up, maintaining the strict composure.

*take a step back, eyes welling up with tears.*
"But...why?"

"Because I want it."

*turn back to face the window, dismissing her.*
Saanvi left the study, sobbing. She goes upstairs to her room, the door slammed shut behind her.
Saanvi didn't eat anything or talk to anyone for the next 2 days.
On the 3rd day, she comes downstairs in the living room where Ranveer and Sujata are sitting on the sofa.
Both Ranveer and Sujata look up at her.
God knows what she is thinking. She asks Ranveer.

"Atleast, tell me whom I am getting married to?"
Sujata looks down at the low table. While, Ranveer's hand on the armrest, curls into a fist.

"They are coming Tomorrow. You will see him then."
Saanvi simply nods. Her eyes shining bright with unshed emotions. She walks out of the house towards the garden.
