Thunder echoed through the silent halls while

servants rushed nervously around the house.

BECAUSE TONIGHT....

and nobody looked happy about it 🚩.

"ADHIRA KAPOOE IS HERE. "

The servants trembling voice broke the silence.

ARAV SLOWLY LIFTED HIS EYES FROM THE WHISKEY GLASS IN HIS HAND .

COLD. UNREADABLE .DANGEROUSLY CALM.

The entire room froze the moment he stood up.

Tall. black suit .sharp jawline .Dark eyes capable of terrifying grown men without speaking a single word.

The warmth shocked her.

Than his eyes narrowed dangerously towards guests.

The entire crowed stepped back instantly.

AADHIRA STEPPED AT HIM IN CONFUSION.

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS ,AARAV ALMOST SMILED.

BUT IT DISAPPEARED QUICKLY.

"HOW DO YOU KNOW... I TAKE MEDICINES?"

SILENCE.

AARAV REALISED HIS MISTAKE TOO LATE.

AADHIRA SLOWLY STOOD UP FROM BED.

"You even knew i didn't eat dinner. "

INSTEAD HE STEPPED CLOSER, CALMLY.

(Close enough for her to notice the exhaustion hidden beneath his sharp eyes)

There it was again

THAT INNOCENT FEAR.

AND HE HATED IT.

AADHIRA LOOKED UP SLOWLY.

NOBODY HAD EVER TOLD HER THAT BEFORE.

Mean while downstairs ~

AARAV'S GRANDFATHER :

HE CAN'T HIDE THE TRUTH FOREVER murmured.

UPSTAIRS :

AADHIRA SAT ON THE COUCH ~nervously eating the food AARAV FORCED TO EAT.

He stood nearby with folded arms like an irritated bodyguard.

"SLOWLY." ❄

"I am eating slowly. "

"YOU ALMOST CHOKED THREE SECONDS A GO. " ❄

"That was one time. "

"IT HAPPENED TWICE. " ❄

[Aadhira glared at him softly]

AARAV SUDDENLY WALK TOWARDS HER AND LEANED DOWN SLIGHTLY ~

and wiped a tiny grain od rice from the corner of her lips with his thumb.

THE MOVEMENT WAS SO GENTLE.....

It confused her heart.

Aadhira forgot how to breathe.

But before the movement could continue~

The mansions light suddenly went out.

Dankness filled the room instantly.

AADHIRA GASPED QUIETLY.

she hated darkness.

And thunder

AND BEFORE SHE COULD STOP HERSELF~

SHE GRABBED AAARAV'S SLEEVE TIGHTLY.

THE LIGHTENING FLASHED OUTSIDE .

For one brief second ~

AARAV LOOKED AT HER LIKE SHE WAS THE MOST PRECIOUS THING HE HAD EVER TOUCHED .

THEN ANOTHER THUNDERCLAP ECHOED

AND AADHIRA'S WHISPERED SHAKILY ~
