Mommy, I Need Love

Chapter 1 — “Pay Attention to Me…”

The huge penthouse was quiet.

Too quiet.

Jeon Jungkook sat near the window with his laptop resting on his thighs, glasses sliding slightly down his nose while he worked through endless emails. The rain outside painted silver lines across the glass, making the city look blurry and distant.

Calm. Warm. Peaceful.

Until—

“Jungkookieeeee…”

A dramatic whine echoed through the apartment.

Jungkook didn’t even look up. “Hmm?”

Heavy footsteps approached.

Then suddenly—

A whole grown man threw himself across Jungkook’s lap.

“Baby!”

Jungkook sighed softly as Kim Taehyung wrapped his arms around his waist like an oversized clingy cat.

Taehyung buried his face into Jungkook’s stomach and groaned. “You love your laptop more than me.”

“I’ve been working for twenty minutes.”

“Exactly.” Taehyung looked up with betrayal written all over his face. “That’s twenty whole minutes without kissing me.”

Jungkook finally smiled a little.

Kim Taehyung was impossible.

Rich. Beautiful. Spoiled beyond saving.

And obsessed with attention.

Especially Jungkook’s attention.

Taehyung grabbed Jungkook’s hand dramatically and pressed it against his cheek. “Feel this.”

“What?”

“My suffering.”

Jungkook laughed quietly. “You’re unbelievable.”

“No, I’m neglected.”

Taehyung climbed fully onto the couch, practically crushing Jungkook beneath him while pouting like a child denied candy.

Even at twenty-six years old, Taehyung acted like the world would end if Jungkook stopped touching him for more than five minutes.

And honestly?

Jungkook let him.

Because beneath all the bratty whining, Taehyung was soft.

Painfully soft.

The type of person who demanded love loudly because deep inside, he feared not receiving enough of it.

Taehyung suddenly grabbed Jungkook’s face.

“Look at me.”

“I am looking at you.”

“No. Properly.”

Jungkook closed his laptop this time.

Immediately Taehyung’s eyes sparkled in victory.

“There,” Taehyung whispered proudly. “Now your attention belongs to me.”

“You’re clingy.”

“You like it.”

Jungkook didn’t answer.

Because yes. He did.

A little too much.

Taehyung crawled closer until their noses brushed. “Call me pretty.”

“You are pretty.”

“Again.”

“You’re very pretty.”

Taehyung smiled so brightly it almost hurt to look at him.

That smile always made Jungkook weak.

Maybe because Jungkook had spent most of his life taking care of everyone else while nobody truly took care of him.

Growing up, affection came with conditions. Praise was rare. Warmth felt temporary.

So when Taehyung entered his life like a chaotic storm demanding hugs, kisses, cuddles, attention, reassurance—

Jungkook didn’t know how to resist.

Taehyung made him feel needed.

Not for responsibilities. Not for perfection.

Just… needed.

Taehyung suddenly grabbed Jungkook’s face again and squished his cheeks.

“You’re thinking too much.”

“And you’re annoying.”

“But I’m your annoying baby.”

Jungkook’s heart melted instantly.

Dangerous.

This man was dangerous.

Taehyung laid his head on Jungkook’s chest and sighed happily when fingers automatically slipped into his hair.

“There we go,” Taehyung mumbled. “That’s my mommy.”

Jungkook froze slightly at the nickname.

Not because he disliked it.

Because he liked it far too much.

Taehyung noticed immediately.

He always noticed.

Slowly, Taehyung tilted his head upward with teasing eyes. “You like when I call you mommy, don’t you?”

Jungkook avoided his gaze. “Taehyung.”

“Awww.” Taehyung grinned. “You’re blushing.”

“I’m not.”

“You totally are.”

Taehyung climbed higher until he was almost sitting in Jungkook’s lap completely.

“Mommy.”

Jungkook inhaled sharply.

Taehyung’s voice became softer this time. “Take care of me.”

That sentence.

That stupid sentence always destroyed Jungkook.

Because nobody had ever asked Jungkook to love them so openly before.

And Taehyung… Taehyung asked for it every single day.

Attention. Affection. Comfort. Love.

As if Jungkook’s arms were the safest place in the world.

Taehyung suddenly kissed Jungkook’s jaw softly.

“One kiss every minute you ignored me.”

“That’s not how this works.”

“Yes it is.”

Taehyung kissed him again.

And again.

Until Jungkook finally gave up, wrapping an arm around Taehyung’s waist while the younger omega smiled proudly against his skin.

“See?” Taehyung whispered happily. “You can never resist me.”

Jungkook looked at him quietly for a long moment.

Beautiful brown eyes. Messy dark hair. Spoiled expression. Needy heart.

His brat.

Jungkook gently brushed hair away from Taehyung’s forehead.

“You’re lucky I love you.”

Taehyung immediately gasped dramatically. “Only lucky?”

Then he buried himself deeper into Jungkook’s embrace and mumbled:

“Momy… I need love.”

And Jungkook held him tighter without hesitation.

The rain still hadn’t stopped.

Soft thunder echoed outside while warm yellow lights filled the penthouse with comfort.

Taehyung was currently spread across Jungkook’s body like a blanket.

A very dramatic blanket.

Jungkook leaned against the couch while Taehyung rested on top of him, lazily tracing circles against Jungkook’s chest.

“You stopped working for me,” Taehyung whispered proudly.

“You forced me to stop working.”

“Mhm.” Taehyung nodded shamelessly. “And I’d do it again.”

Jungkook shook his head with quiet amusement.

Taehyung suddenly lifted himself slightly. “Do you know something?”

“What?”

“You’re getting obsessed with me.”

Jungkook raised an eyebrow. “I’m obsessed?”

“Yes.” Taehyung poked his cheek. “You stare at me when you think I’m sleeping.”

“That happened once.”

“Twice.”

“You counted?”

“Of course.” Taehyung grinned brightly. “I love attention.”

That sentence alone described Kim Taehyung perfectly.

He needed affection constantly.

If Jungkook stopped touching him, Taehyung would whine. If Jungkook focused on work too long, Taehyung would throw himself dramatically across the desk. If Jungkook ignored his texts for five minutes—

Twenty missed calls.

And yet…

Jungkook never got tired of him.

Maybe because Taehyung looked happiest when being loved.

Right now included.

Taehyung closed his eyes as Jungkook’s fingers slowly combed through his soft hair.

A satisfied little sound escaped him.

“There,” Taehyung mumbled sleepily. “That’s why I keep you.”

“You keep me?”

“Mhm. My emotional support mommy.”

Jungkook laughed under his breath.

Taehyung immediately looked up, completely distracted. “Again.”

“What?”

“Laugh again.”

Jungkook blinked. “Why?”

“Because your smile is pretty.”

The sincerity in Taehyung’s voice made Jungkook pause.

Taehyung always spoke like that. Openly. Fearlessly.

As if loving someone loudly wasn’t embarrassing.

Jungkook wasn’t used to it.

Growing up, emotions were hidden. Needs were burdens. Crying meant weakness.

But Taehyung?

Taehyung would crawl into Jungkook’s lap and openly say: “Hold me.” “Kiss me.” “Love me.”

And somehow… it healed something inside Jungkook little by little.

Taehyung suddenly narrowed his eyes.

“You’re thinking again.”

“You notice everything.”

“Because I watch you.”

Jungkook looked down at him.

Taehyung’s head rested against his chest, loose black shirt slipping slightly off one shoulder while his soft eyes stared upward with complete attention.

“Tell me what’s inside your head,” Taehyung whispered.

Jungkook hesitated.

Then quietly: “You ask for love very easily.”

Taehyung blinked. “…Is that bad?”

“No.” Jungkook’s fingers slowed in his hair. “It’s just new for me.”

For a moment, Taehyung became unusually quiet.

Then he slowly sat up properly in Jungkook’s lap.

“You know…” His voice softened. “I ask because I’m scared.”

Jungkook looked surprised.

Taehyung smiled weakly this time. “If people don’t say they love me… I start wondering if they stopped.”

The playful brat from earlier suddenly looked small.

Fragile.

“I know I’m annoying,” Taehyung admitted quietly. “But when people ignore me, I hate it.”

Jungkook’s chest tightened painfully.

Because underneath Taehyung’s spoiled behavior was someone desperate to feel wanted.

Someone who needed reassurance the same way others needed air.

Without thinking, Jungkook cupped Taehyung’s face gently.

“I could never stop loving you.”

Taehyung froze.

Those words clearly hit him harder than expected.

His lips parted slightly before he leaned forward and buried his face into Jungkook’s neck.

“You can’t say things like that suddenly,” Taehyung mumbled weakly.

“Why?”

“Because then I get emotional.”

Jungkook smiled softly and rubbed his back.

For several quiet minutes, neither of them spoke.

Only the sound of rain filled the room.

Then suddenly—

“Mommy.”

Jungkook sighed instantly. “What now?”

“I’m hungry.”

“…You just ate.”

“I need emotional snacks.”

“That’s not a real thing.”

“It is when you’re this pretty.”

Jungkook rolled his eyes while Taehyung grinned proudly.

The serious moment disappeared just like that.

Typical Kim Taehyung.

Taehyung suddenly grabbed Jungkook’s hand and kissed his fingers one by one.

“You know what?”

“What?”

“I think I love you more every day.”

Jungkook’s heart skipped embarrassingly fast.

Taehyung noticed immediately.

His smile became softer this time.

More genuine.

Then he leaned close enough for their foreheads to touch.

“Don’t overwork yourself anymore,” Taehyung whispered. “I want my mommy healthy.”

Jungkook stared at him quietly before pulling him back into his arms.

And Taehyung melted there instantly.

Like he belonged there.

Like Jungkook’s embrace was home.

Chapter 2 — “You’re Not Allowed to Ignore Me”

.Morning sunlight slipped through the curtains.

Jungkook woke slowly, blinking at the warm weight sleeping on top of him.

Taehyung.

Of course.

One leg tangled with Jungkook’s waist, arms wrapped tightly around him like a possessive octopus, soft hair tickling Jungkook’s neck.

The omega was sleeping peacefully for once.

No whining. No dramatic complaints. No attention-seeking.

Just soft breathing against Jungkook’s chest.

Jungkook smiled faintly and brushed his fingers through Taehyung’s messy hair.

Cute.

Too cute.

Dangerously cute.

As if sensing movement, Taehyung frowned in his sleep and tightened his grip.

“Don’t go…”

Jungkook’s heart melted immediately.

“I’m not going anywhere.”

Taehyung relaxed again with a tiny sleepy sound.

Jungkook stared at him quietly.

It still amazed him sometimes—how someone like Kim Taehyung could cling to him so naturally.

Taehyung was beautiful. Popular. Wanted by everyone.

Yet every night he curled into Jungkook’s arms like he needed him more than air.

The thought made Jungkook’s chest ache warmly.

Carefully, Jungkook tried moving to get out of bed.

Big mistake.

Taehyung’s eyes opened instantly.

“Traitor.”

Jungkook blinked. “You were awake?”

“I felt abandonment.”

“It’s seven in the morning.”

“And?” Taehyung grabbed Jungkook dramatically. “Where were you going?”

“The bathroom.”

Taehyung narrowed his eyes suspiciously. “Without kissing me first?”

Jungkook laughed softly. “You’re unbelievable.”

“No.” Taehyung climbed directly into Jungkook’s lap despite them still being on the bed. “I’m unloved.”

“You say that every day.”

“Because you don’t give me enough attention.”

“You literally sleep attached to me.”

“And yet somehow I still suffer.”

Jungkook finally kissed his forehead to stop the whining.

Immediately Taehyung smiled proudly.

“There we go.”

Spoiled.

Completely spoiled.

Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jungkook’s neck and stared at him lazily.

“You look pretty in the morning.”

“You need glasses.”

“No, seriously.” Taehyung touched under Jungkook’s eyes gently. “Even when you look tired.”

Something about the softness in his voice made Jungkook pause.

Taehyung often acted bratty and dramatic, but moments like this always appeared unexpectedly.

Small. Quiet. Real.

“You stare at me like I’m special,” Jungkook said before thinking.

Taehyung looked confused.

“Because you are?”

The answer came so naturally.

So simply.

As if there was no doubt about it.

Jungkook looked away first.

And Taehyung instantly gasped.

“Oh my god.”

“What?”

“You got shy.”

“I did not.”

“You totally did.” Taehyung grinned like he’d discovered treasure. “My mommy’s blushing.”

Jungkook pushed his face away gently while Taehyung laughed loudly.

“I’m serious though,” Taehyung whispered after calming down. “You’re special to me.”

Jungkook’s fingers paused against the bedsheet.

Taehyung rested his chin on Jungkook’s shoulder and spoke quietly this time.

“I’ve dated people before, you know.”

Jungkook stayed silent.

“They liked how I looked.” Taehyung smiled bitterly. “But after some time they got tired of me.”

His voice became smaller.

“They said I needed too much attention.”

Jungkook’s expression softened immediately.

Taehyung tried laughing it off. “I know I’m clingy.”

“You’re affectionate.”

“I’m annoying.”

“You’re needy.”

Taehyung groaned dramatically. “That’s worse!”

Jungkook finally smiled.

Then he gently held Taehyung’s jaw so the omega would look at him properly.

“Listen to me.”

Taehyung blinked.

“There’s nothing wrong with wanting love.”

The room became quiet.

Taehyung’s eyes slowly softened.

Jungkook continued carefully: “You ask for affection because it matters to you. That’s not something to be ashamed of.”

Taehyung stared at him for several seconds.

Then suddenly—

He tackled Jungkook backward onto the mattress.

“BABY!”

Jungkook laughed as Taehyung buried kisses all over his face dramatically.

“You’re so cute when you act like mommy,” Taehyung whined happily. “I could cry.”

“You are crying.”

“I know.”

Jungkook froze slightly.

Actual tears sat in the corners of Taehyung’s eyes.

Not sad tears.

Overwhelmed tears.

Taehyung hid his face instantly out of embarrassment. “Don’t look at me.”

“Taehyung—”

“I’m emotional because you’re nice to me.”

Jungkook’s chest hurt painfully at those words.

How badly had Taehyung wanted reassurance before this?

Slowly, Jungkook wrapped both arms around him and pulled him close.

And Taehyung melted immediately.

Like always.

“You know what?” Taehyung mumbled against his neck.

“What?”

“I think I was born to be loved by you.”

Jungkook’s heartbeat stumbled.

Then Taehyung added dramatically:

“So you’re not allowed to ignore me ever again.”

“There it is.”

“There WHAT is?”

“The brat came back.”

Taehyung gasped loudly. “I was being vulnerable!”

“You were being dramatic.”

Taehyung narrowed his eyes before suddenly biting Jungkook’s shoulder lightly.

“Kim Taehyung!”

“You deserve it.”

Jungkook stared at him in disbelief while Taehyung grinned mischievously.

Then the omega climbed back into Jungkook’s arms like nothing happened.

Completely shameless.

And Jungkook still held him anyway.

The kitchen smelled like coffee and pancakes.

Well…

Burnt pancakes.

Jungkook stood near the stove with an unimpressed expression while smoke lightly filled the air.

Behind him, Taehyung sat on the counter swinging his legs innocently.

“I was helping.”

“You almost started a fire.”

“I added personality to breakfast.”

Jungkook turned off the stove with a sigh. “You added smoke.”

Taehyung grinned without shame.

He wore one of Jungkook’s oversized black hoodies, sleeves covering his hands completely while messy hair fell over sleepy eyes.

Cute.

Too cute to properly scold.

And Taehyung absolutely knew it.

The omega tilted his head dramatically. “You wouldn’t survive without me.”

“I was surviving perfectly before you.”

“Liar.” Taehyung pointed at him seriously. “You were emotionally constipated.”

Jungkook nearly choked on his coffee.

“Emotionally what?”

“You heard me.”

Taehyung hopped off the counter and walked over, wrapping his arms around Jungkook’s waist from behind.

“You smiled less before me.”

Jungkook froze slightly.

Taehyung rested his cheek against Jungkook’s back. “And you worked too much.”

His voice softened.

“Nobody took care of you properly.”

That sentence hit harder than it should have.

Jungkook looked down quietly at the warm hands around his waist.

Taehyung always said things so casually… but somehow they touched the deepest parts of him every time.

Before Jungkook could answer, Taehyung suddenly gasped dramatically.

“WAIT.”

“What now?”

“You didn’t kiss me good morning properly!”

“We kissed upstairs.”

“That was a forehead kiss.” Taehyung looked offended. “I deserve compensation.”

“You’re unbelievable.”

“I’m adorable.”

True.

Unfortunately.

Taehyung stepped in front of him and lifted his arms expectantly.

“Kiss.”

Jungkook stared at him. “Just like that?”

“Yes.”

“What if I say no?”

Taehyung blinked slowly.

Then immediately— His lips trembled dramatically.

Jungkook sighed instantly. “Don’t start.”

“You don’t love me anymore…”

“I never said that.”

“You hesitated.”

“Taehyung.”

“You hate me.”

Jungkook grabbed his face and kissed him just to stop the nonsense.

And Taehyung instantly smiled into it victoriously.

Manipulative little brat.

When Jungkook pulled away, Taehyung looked unbearably pleased with himself.

“There we go.” He nodded proudly. “Much better.”

“You create problems on purpose.”

“Because solving them gives me attention.”

At least he was honest.

Taehyung suddenly climbed onto the kitchen island again and stretched dramatically.

“Mommyyyy.”

Jungkook already sounded tired. “Yes?”

“Carry me.”

“…Why?”

“I don’t want to walk.”

“You walked five seconds ago.”

“And now I’m retired.”

Jungkook stared at him silently.

Taehyung opened his arms wider. “Up.”

“You’re a grown man.”

“I’m your baby.”

“That’s not convincing enough.”

Taehyung immediately switched tactics.

His voice became soft and clingy. “Please?”

Dangerous.

That tone was dangerous.

Especially paired with those giant puppy eyes.

Jungkook lasted exactly three seconds before walking over and lifting Taehyung effortlessly.

The omega smiled brightly and wrapped his legs around Jungkook’s waist.

“I knew you’d do it.”

“Of course you did.”

Taehyung buried his face into Jungkook’s neck happily. “Mmm. Comfortable.”

Jungkook held him securely while moving toward the living room.

“You spoil me too much,” Taehyung mumbled lazily.

“You complain when I don’t.”

“Exactly.”

Jungkook laughed quietly under his breath.

Taehyung immediately looked at him.

“There’s that smile again.”

“What smile?”

“The one you only do around me.”

Jungkook looked away.

Taehyung stared at him for a long moment before touching his cheek gently.

“You know…” he whispered, “sometimes I think you need love even more than me.”

Jungkook’s breath caught slightly.

Nobody ever said things like that to him.

Nobody noticed him that carefully.

Taehyung leaned closer until their foreheads touched.

“You take care of everyone,” he murmured softly. “But who takes care of you?”

Jungkook didn’t know how to answer.

Because honestly?

No one.

Not before Taehyung.

Taehyung smiled faintly like he already understood.

Then he kissed the corner of Jungkook’s mouth gently.

“I will.”

The words were quiet.

Simple.

But they wrapped around Jungkook’s heart tightly.

For once, Jungkook felt like someone was holding him the same way he held others.

And maybe that was why he could never refuse Taehyung.

Because beneath the spoiled whining and dramatic behavior…

Taehyung loved him loudly.

Completely.

Fearlessly.

“Mommy?”

“Hm?”

“I’m hungry again.”

Jungkook blinked. “You literally just ate.”

Taehyung smiled shamelessly. “Love makes me hungry.”

“…I’m putting you back down.”

“Nooooo!” Taehyung clung tighter instantly. “You can’t abandon your baby!”

Chapter 3 — “Stay With Me Tonight”

The evening was peaceful.

For once.

No burnt food. No dramatic arguments. No Taehyung pretending he was “dying from lack of attention.”

Just soft music playing through the penthouse while rain tapped gently against the windows again.

Jungkook sat on the floor near the couch, organizing paperwork spread across the coffee table.

Meanwhile—

Taehyung was upside down on the sofa.

Literally upside down.

His legs hung over the backrest while his head nearly touched the floor.

“Your blood is going to rush to your brain.”

Taehyung looked at him lazily. “Maybe then I’ll become smarter.”

Jungkook snorted quietly.

Victory.

Taehyung immediately pointed at him dramatically. “You laughed because of me.”

“You’re ridiculous.”

“You’re welcome.”

Taehyung rolled off the couch and crawled across the floor until he reached Jungkook.

Then without warning—

He laid directly on top of the paperwork.

Jungkook blinked slowly. “Taehyung.”

“No.”

“I need those.”

“You need me more.”

“I really don’t.”

Taehyung narrowed his eyes before lying flatter across the papers like a protective dragon guarding treasure.

“You’re spending too much time working again.”

Jungkook sighed. “I have responsibilities.”

“And I have emotional needs.”

“That’s not the same thing.”

“It is to me.”

Taehyung rested his chin on his folded arms and stared quietly at Jungkook for a moment.

Then softly: “You’ve been distant today.”

Jungkook looked surprised. “I have?”

“Mhm.”

Taehyung’s voice lost its teasing edge this time.

“You’re touching me less.”

The sentence came out so small that Jungkook’s chest tightened immediately.

Because Taehyung wasn’t joking now.

He genuinely noticed.

Jungkook put the papers aside instantly.

“Come here.”

Taehyung crawled into his lap without hesitation like he belonged there.

Maybe he did.

Jungkook wrapped both arms around his waist while Taehyung melted against him with a quiet sigh.

“There,” Jungkook whispered. “Better?”

“A little.”

“A little?”

“You owe me extra affection for emotional damages.”

Jungkook smiled softly and kissed his temple.

Taehyung hummed happily.

But after a few moments, Jungkook noticed something unusual.

Taehyung was quiet.

Too quiet.

“No dramatic speech?” Jungkook teased lightly.

Taehyung shrugged against his chest.

Then after a long pause—

“Can I ask something?”

“Anything.”

Taehyung’s fingers played nervously with Jungkook’s hoodie strings.

“…Will you ever get tired of me?”

Jungkook froze.

The question sounded careless at first.

But the fear hidden underneath it was painfully obvious.

Taehyung kept his eyes lowered. “I know I’m a lot.”

Jungkook immediately held his face gently.

“Look at me.”

Slowly, Taehyung looked up.

His eyes looked softer now. Smaller somehow.

Jungkook’s heart ached.

“Where is this coming from?”

Taehyung tried smiling. “Nowhere.”

“Taehyung.”

Silence.

Then finally—

“My parents used to leave me alone a lot when I was younger.”

Jungkook’s expression softened instantly.

Taehyung laughed quietly, but it sounded empty. “They gave me everything except attention.”

His fingers tightened slightly in Jungkook’s hoodie.

“So now when people become quiet… I start thinking maybe they don’t want me anymore.”

The confession sat heavily between them.

Suddenly everything made sense.

The clinginess. The constant need for reassurance. The dramatic demands for affection.

Taehyung wasn’t spoiled because he had too much love.

He acted this way because he was terrified of losing it.

Jungkook felt his chest ache painfully.

Without hesitation, he pulled Taehyung closer until the omega was almost hidden inside his arms.

“Listen carefully to me.”

Taehyung stayed silent.

“You could annoy me a thousand times a day.” Jungkook brushed hair away from his forehead gently. “And I’d still choose you.”

Taehyung’s breathing faltered slightly.

“You don’t have to beg me to stay.”

The room became unbearably quiet.

Taehyung suddenly hid his face in Jungkook’s neck.

And Jungkook felt it.

Tiny warm tears against his skin.

“Oh, baby…”

“I hate crying,” Taehyung mumbled weakly.

“You don’t have to hide it.”

“It’s embarrassing.”

Jungkook rubbed his back slowly. “No, it’s not.”

For several minutes, Taehyung stayed curled against him silently while Jungkook held him tightly.

Protectively.

Like he was holding something precious.

Finally Taehyung whispered:

“Stay with me tonight?”

Jungkook frowned softly. “I always stay.”

“No…” Taehyung looked up with vulnerable eyes. “I mean really stay.”

Jungkook understood immediately.

No phones. No work. No distractions.

Just him.

Just love.

Jungkook kissed his forehead gently. “Okay.”

Taehyung’s expression softened in relief so quickly it hurt to see.

“Really?”

“Really.”

The omega smiled weakly before climbing fully into Jungkook’s lap again and wrapping himself around him tightly.

Like he was scared Jungkook might disappear if he let go.

And Jungkook held him just as tightly back.

Because some people asked for love loudly…

Only because nobody heard them when they needed it quietly.

The bedroom was dim except for the soft golden lamp beside the bed.

Rain continued outside, turning the whole world quiet and distant.

Taehyung lay sprawled across Jungkook’s chest, listening to his heartbeat while Jungkook lazily played with his hair.

Neither of them spoke for a while.

The silence felt warm.

Safe.

Taehyung loved moments like this the most.

No pretending. No joking.

Just Jungkook holding him like he mattered.

“You’re thinking again,” Taehyung murmured sleepily.

Jungkook smiled faintly. “You always notice.”

“Because I pay attention to my mommy.”

That nickname still made Jungkook’s chest tighten every single time.

Taehyung tilted his head upward suddenly.

“What are you thinking about?”

Jungkook hesitated.

Then quietly: “You.”

Taehyung immediately looked pleased. “As you should.”

Jungkook laughed softly and pinched his side.

“Ow!”

“Brat.”

“Your brat.”

True.

Very true.

Taehyung snuggled deeper into Jungkook’s arms before mumbling: “You know what I realized?”

“What?”

“You act strong all the time.”

Jungkook blinked slightly.

Taehyung traced slow circles against his chest. “Even when you’re tired.”

His voice softened.

“You smile and take care of everyone… but nobody notices when you need comfort too.”

Jungkook stared at the ceiling quietly.

Because Taehyung was right.

Jungkook spent most of his life being dependable.

The mature one. The calm one. The responsible one.

People leaned on him naturally.

But nobody ever asked if he was exhausted from carrying everything alone.

Except Taehyung.

The omega suddenly pushed himself up slightly until he could properly see Jungkook’s face.

“Can I tell you something honestly?”

Jungkook nodded.

“I think you’re lonely sometimes.”

The words hit directly into Jungkook’s chest.

Taehyung touched his cheek carefully.

“And I don’t want you to feel lonely anymore.”

Jungkook’s throat tightened unexpectedly.

It was strange.

Taehyung acted clingy and needy all the time… yet somehow he understood Jungkook better than anyone else ever had.

Taehyung smiled softly before laying down on top of him again.

Then quietly—

“People think I’m the one always asking for love.”

His fingers intertwined with Jungkook’s.

“But you need it too.”

Jungkook closed his eyes briefly.

Maybe he did.

Maybe that was why Taehyung felt addictive.

Because every time Taehyung clung to him, Jungkook secretly felt wanted too.

Needed too.

Taehyung suddenly lifted Jungkook’s hand and pressed soft kisses against his knuckles one by one.

“You work too hard.”

“Someone has to.”

“You take care of me too much.”

“I like taking care of you.”

Taehyung smiled faintly. “I know.”

Then his expression softened even more.

“But who takes care of mommy?”

Jungkook’s heart stumbled painfully.

Taehyung gently cupped Jungkook’s face this time.

A rare role reversal.

“Come here,” he whispered.

Jungkook actually looked surprised. “I’m already here.”

“No.” Taehyung’s voice became quieter. “Emotionally.”

Something inside Jungkook cracked at those words.

Before he realized it, he leaned forward slightly.

And Taehyung immediately wrapped both arms around him tightly.

No teasing. No bratty behavior.

Just warmth.

Just comfort.

Jungkook buried his face against Taehyung’s shoulder silently while the omega stroked his back gently.

“There you go,” Taehyung whispered softly. “Good job.”

Jungkook almost laughed at how naturally nurturing Taehyung sounded despite usually acting like the needy one.

But instead…

He stayed there.

Holding onto him.

And for the first time in a very long time, Jungkook allowed himself to relax completely into someone else’s care.

Taehyung smiled softly against his hair.

“I like when you need me too.”

Jungkook finally spoke quietly against his neck.

“I do need you.”

Taehyung froze.

Then slowly pulled back just enough to look at him properly.

Jungkook looked embarrassed after admitting it.

But Taehyung’s eyes immediately became watery again.

“Oh no,” Jungkook sighed softly. “Why are you crying now?”

“You said you need me,” Taehyung whispered emotionally. “That’s literally the most romantic thing anyone’s ever said to me.”

Jungkook laughed quietly despite himself.

Taehyung sniffled dramatically before grabbing Jungkook’s face.

“Say it again.”

“You’re impossible.”

“Please?”

Jungkook looked at him for a long moment.

Then gently:

“I need you, Taehyung.”

The omega made the softest broken sound before crashing forward to hug him tightly again.

“My mommy loves me so much,” he cried dramatically.

Jungkook smiled helplessly and kissed his hair.

And secretly—

He thought maybe Taehyung loved him even more.
