Tae is 26 years old now and a baby lover. To talk about Tae's past, we have to go back two years ago. Tae loved a girl, and their relationship lasted for about four years. Tae wanted them to get married and build a small family together. However, Tae's girlfriend got pregnant three months, and she cheated on Tae. It has been two years since that incident happened. Yet, Tae still remembers that girl's words: "You are very foolish and crazy. I cannot live my life with you. And what do you think? Just because you want to, you will become a father? You don't even have that capability." Tae did accept her cheating, but her words remained deeply etched in his mind.
Now, Tae spends a small moment of his daily life at a park. It has become a habit for him to observe the families and children from a distance, reflecting on the life he had once envisioned for himself. He often sits alone on a quiet bench, lost in thought as he processes the weight of the words spoken to him and the future he feels slipping away. It has become his habit to watch the children play. He never tried to go and sit near them, perhaps due to a sense of fear or hesitation—worrying they or their parents might misunderstand him. That's why he watched everything from a distance. It has been almost a year now since he started coming to this park every single afternoon.
Then one day, he noticed a boy sitting alone and playing. On the other side of the park, a large group of children were playing together. Tae felt a sense of sympathy for the boy's isolation and watched him with interest. He wondered if the child would like to join the others, and he found himself hoping the boy might find a friend or play with him. But he still had that fear. That is why, just like any other day, he got busy on a phone call. Before leaving, he went to the group of children in the park and told them to go and play with the boy sitting alone.Hearing this, the children ran over to make a new friend.Tae could not come to the park for about three days because he was busy. Today, when he returns to the park, he finds nothing has changed. He sits in his usual daily spot and notices that the same boy is still playing all by himself on the left side of the park, just like before. Tae was surprised to see that despite his efforts, the lonely child was still playing all alone in the park. After sitting for a while, Tae gets up and asks the group of children, "Why didn't you make friends with that boy?" One of the children replies that the lonely boy scolded them, told them to leave, and said he would not play with anyone. Tae does not want to just sit and listen to one side of the story.

Tae does not want to just sit and listen to one side of the story. So, he approaches the boy and stands about 10 feet away. After saying many things to him and getting no response, Tae grows annoyed. No matter what he said, the boy refused to respond properly. He steps a bit closer and asks him, "What is your name? Why are you sitting alone? Don't you want a friend?" The young boy says angrily, "Go away, just leave! Will you also talk nicely to me for a little while like everyone else and then abandon me?"His small hands clenched tightly as he spoke, as if he was trying to hide how hurt he really was. He repeatedly tells Tae to leave. However, Tae replies differently, "Every time you tell me to leave, I will take one step closer to you . True to his word, Tae keeps moving forward taking one step at a time. In reality, deep down, the child actually wanted Tae to stay near him. But years of disappointment made it difficult for him to trust anyone easily. Tae stands just a step away from the child. Tae wonders if the boy even realizes how close he has come. When the child tells Tae to leave once more, he notices that Tae does not take another step closer this time. Seeing that Tae's feet haven't moved, the boy looks down at Tae's feet, and then looks up straight into his eyes. For a brief second, neither of them looked away. he turned away in a slight fit of anger. Seeing this, our Tae went and sat right in front of him. Instead of getting angry, Tae simply watched him quietly, waiting for the boy to speak first. He pulled out a unique toy and tried to figure out how to play with it. Watching him, the boy chimed in and said, "No, that's not how you play with it!"It was the first time the child had spoken to Tae without anger in his voice. From that moment on, a beautiful bond slowly began to form between them. Neither of them realized it at the time, but that simple moment would become the beginning of something very special.
After playing for a little while, both of them burst into laughter. The lonely atmosphere that had surrounded the child earlier slowly disappeared. Tae then asked him for his name, and the boy replied "My name is Kookie, and dad loves to call me kook! "There was a hint of pride in his voice as he introduced himself. the boy ask "And what is your name?"Tae said, "My name is Kim Taehyung. You can call me Tae Uncle."Tae introduced himself with a gentle smile, hoping the child would feel comfortable around him. Kookie responded, "Your name is too long, I will forget it!"Kookie pouted slightly as if he was seriously thinking about a better name. Let me give you a beautiful name instead."The little boy tilted his head, thinking very carefully. Tae smiled and said, "Hmm, go ahead." Tae chuckled softly, amused by the child's confidence.I won't forget your name though, my Kookie baby."Hearing this from Tae's mouth, Kookie said, "Sweet Uncle... no, 'Pout'... Yahh... Mr. Bear! Yes, this name sounds great. You look exactly like a bear!"From that day on, Kookie loved to call him by that name. Every time he said "Mr. Bear," a bright smile would appear on his face.
Two innocent friends spend their time together, and nobody can fathom how deeply Tae has grown to love this little boy. Nearly a month has passed since their unique friendship began. True friendship knows no age barrier; it only requires a pure heart. Sometimes, the most meaningful friendships begin in the most unexpected ways.

That evening, after returning home, Kookie quietly went to his room. For the first time in a long while, the house didn't feel quite as lonely as before.
As he sat by the window, his thoughts kept drifting back to the park.To the strange man who refused to leave.
To the man who kept coming closer every time he was told to go away.
A small smile unknowingly appeared on his face.
"Mr. Bear..."
he whispered softly to himself. The nickname still sounded funny, yet somehow it felt right. As the evening sky slowly darkened, Kookie found himself replaying every moment they had spent together.
And without realizing it, he had already started looking forward to meeting Tae again.
Time Skip ☺️
The next morning, Kookie woke up earlier than usual.
For some reason, he felt unusually excited.
After finishing his breakfast, he kept glancing at the clock from time to time.
The day seemed to move slower than ever.
Finally, unable to wait any longer. That afternoon, Kookie was already waiting at their usual spot.As soon as he arrived, he sat down on the grass and pretended to play with his toys.
Minutes passed.
The moment he saw Tae approaching from a distance, his face brightened.
However, not wanting Tae to notice, he quickly looked away and pretended to be busy with his toys.
Then suddenly, a familiar voice reached his ears.
"Did you come early today, Kookie?"
The little boy immediately looked up.
There stood Tae with his usual gentle smile.
Kookie quickly looked away.
"No."
Tae raised an eyebrow.
"Really?"
"Really."
A few seconds of silence passed.
Then Kookie quietly asked,
"Why did you take so long, Mr. Bear?"
The moment those words left his mouth, Tae couldn't help but laugh softly.
Maybe the little boy had been waiting after all.
The warm afternoon breeze gently passed by as Tae and Kookie continued sitting on the grass.
For the first time in a long while, Kookie found himself enjoying someone's company. The sadness and loneliness that usually surrounded him seemed a little lighter whenever Tae was around.
As they played together, Kookie suddenly noticed a small flower growing nearby. His eyes lit up with curiosity. Carefully picking it, he looked at it for a few seconds before turning toward Tae.
"Mr. Bear."
Tae looked up from the toy in his hands.
"Hmm?"
Without saying anything else, Kookie stretched out his hand and offered him the little flower.
Tae blinked in surprise.
"For me?"
Kookie quickly looked away.
"Don't think too much. I just found it."
A small smile appeared on Tae's face as he accepted the flower.
"Thank you, Kookie."
The little boy tried to act indifferent, but the corners of his lips lifted slightly.
Soon they returned to playing with the toys. Every now and then Kookie would correct Tae whenever he made a mistake.
"No, no! That's not how you do it!"
"Really?" Tae asked dramatically.
"Of course! You're doing everything wrong!"
Hearing the child's confident voice, Tae laughed softly.
The more time they spent together, the more comfortable Kookie became. The walls around his heart were slowly disappearing without him even realizing it.
After a while, both of them lay down on the grass and looked up at the sky.
The clouds drifted lazily above them.
"That one looks like a rabbit," Kookie said while pointing upward.
Tae stared for a moment.
"I think it looks like a bear."
Kookie immediately turned to him.
"Then that's you, Mr. Bear!"
Both of them burst into laughter.
For a brief moment, neither of them thought about the sadness, loneliness, or pain they carried inside.
They simply enjoyed being together.
As the sun slowly began to set, Tae stood up.
"I should go now."
Kookie's smile faded for a second.
But he quickly hid it.
"Oh."
Tae looked at him and smiled.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
The little boy remained silent for a few moments.
Then, in a much quieter voice, he asked,
"You'll really come tomorrow, right?"
Tae gently patted his head.
"I promise."
For the first time, Kookie found himself looking forward to tomorrow.
