For three days, the border city burned beneath the banners of Eryndor.
Smoke swallowed the skies. The walls were crumbling. And thousands were dying.
The people of Eldoria prayed for reinforcements.
But deep within the battlefield, fear spread for another reason.
The Black Flame of Eryndor. The undefeated commander who had never once failed to conquer a city.
Ravenhold was on the verge of falling.
Captain Lucien
Greetings, Commander. Long live the Emperor of Eryndor.
Captain Lucien
Sir, The western wall defenses are collapsing.
Captain Lucien
A whole battalion was lost during the assault.
Kael
(Sighs) Their deaths will not be in vain.Send in our reserves through the breached wall.
Captain Lucien
(Hesitates) But sir, there is another matter.
Captain Lucien
Our scouts report that the “White Lioness” of Eldoria has arrived with her Vanguard forces to relieve the city.
Several officers exchanged uneasy glances.
Kael
(Smirks) So Eldoria finally sent their prized commander.
Captain Lucien
The men are already whispering her name.
Kael
Fear is natural during battle.
Captain Lucien
This is different.
Kael glares at the captain

Reports say that she's never lost a city under her protection
A faint smirk appeared on Kael’s face.
Kael
Then tonight she will taste her first failure.
Glances at the breached sector
Kael
Prepare for the assault.
Captain Lucien
(salutes) Right away sir. (rushes out)
Far beyond the burning walls of Ravenhold, silver banners emerged through the smoke-covered horizon.
The soldiers of Eldoria immediately raised their heads and cheered
At the front of the advancing cavalry rode a woman clad in white and silver armor, her pale hair flowing behind her like moonlight beneath the storm.
Seraphina Vale. The White Lioness" of Eldoria
The undefeated commander who had defended countless cities from falling into Eryndor’s hands.
To the people of Eldoria, she was a symbol of hope.
To the soldiers of Eryndor, she was the one enemy capable of standing against the Black Flame himself.
The two legendary commanders would finally meet on the same battlefield.
Under the cover of darkness, a small group of riders approached the hidden eastern gate of Ravenhold.
No banners flew above them.
No horns announced their arrival.
The main Vanguard forces of Eldoria remained stationed several miles beyond the forest ridges, Hidden from Eryndor’s scouts until Seraphina could assess the city herself.
As the gates slowly opened, exhausted soldiers immediately recognized the woman at the front of the group.
One by one, they straightened despite their injuries.

(Soldiers cheers) It's The White Lioness!!!
Seraphina removed the hood covering her pale hair before stepping inside the fortress.
Ravenhold Commander
Greetings Lady Vale.(lowered his head respectfully.)
Ravenhold Commander
We feared Ravenhold would fall before your arrival.
Seraphina’s eyes moved toward the burning skyline beyond the walls.
Ravenhold Commander
We’ve lost contact with the northern towers. Eryndor controls most of the outer districts.
Seraphina slowly approached the war table.
Blood stains covered the map of Ravenhold.
Seraphina
What about the civilians in the occupied districts?
The fort commander’s expression tightened.
Ravenhold Commander
Many were evacuated during the first assaults... but thousands still remain trapped beyond the western quarter.
Seraphina
(Furious) Why were they not pulled back sooner?
Ravenhold Commander
Eryndor advanced faster than expected. Entire streets became battlefields overnight.
Silence filled the room.
One of the officers lowered his head.
Eldorian officer
We’ve lost too many soldiers trying to reach them my lady.
Seraphina’s gaze hardened.
Seraphina
We are not abandoning civilians to die while this fortress still stands.
Ravenhold Commander
Lady Vale, the occupied districts are crawling with Eryndorian patrols.
Seraphina
Then we move before dawn.
The officers looked at her in shock
Ravenhold Commander
You intend to enter the occupied district yourself?
Seraphina slowly fastened her cloak.
Seraphina
If innocent people are still trapped in this city... then this battle is not over yet.
Seraphina turned towards the captain standing nearby
Seraphina
Prepare a rider at once.
Eldorian officer
Yes, my lady (Rushes out)
Seraphina moved across the war table before marking several points across the occupied districts.
Seraphina
At first light, Captain Lyra will launch a diversionary assault against Eryndor’s northern siege lines.
Ravenhold Commander
The Vanguard Captain?
Seraphina
She’s still positioned beyond the eastern ridge with the main Vanguard forces.
Ravenhold Commander
A direct attack?
She pointed toward the burning western districts.
Seraphina
Just enough to force Kael Draven to shift part of his attention away from the occupied quarters.
The officers slowly realized her plan.
Eldorian officer
While they focus on the Vanguard...
Seraphina
I’ll enter the occupied district with a smaller force and evacuate the civilians.
Ravenhold Commander
But, Lady vale this mission is suicide.
Seraphina fastened her sword to her side.
Seraphina
Which is exactly why they won’t expect us to move through it.
The scout stepped closer.
Eldorian Scout
Your orders, my lady.
Seraphina’s silver eyes focused on the map.
Seraphina
This message goes directly to Captain Lyra. Make haste.
The scout rushed out without a second thought.
Her silver eyes shifted toward the darkness outside the fortress.
Seraphina
I want to see the man they call the Black Flame for myself.
[ Eryndor Siege Camp — Same Night ]
Rain fell across the battlefield as soldiers rushed between burning siege towers and supply wagons.
Inside the command tent, silence lingered heavily in the air.
Eldorian Scout
Commander, Scouts report unusual movement near the eastern forest.
Kael stood beside the war table, studying the map of Ravenhold illuminated by candlelight.

Eldorian reinforcements?
Captain Lucien
Possibly. But their numbers remain unclear.
Kael’s gaze darkened slightly.
Kael
Seraphina Vale doesn’t move without purpose.
An officer hastily entered the tent before lowering his head.
Eryndorian officer
Commander, the preparations for the assault are ready, permission to advance before dawn.
The officers looked surprised.

But Commander— Ravenhold's defence is at breaking point.
Kael
And desperate enemies are the most dangerous.
Captain Lucien
(Folds his arms) You believe she’s already inside the fortress?
Captain Lucien
You think she entered secretly?
Kael
I would have done the same.
Outside the tent, thunder echoed across the battlefield.
Far beyond the siege camp
From the highest tower of Ravenhold.
Seraphina Vale silently watched the distant fires of Eryndor burning beneath the storm.
And somewhere within that sea of flames.
The Black Flame was watching her too.
Before Dawn
[Eastern Ridge — Vanguard Camp ]
Cold winds swept across the hidden camp as hundreds of Eldorian Vanguard soldiers awaiting patiently under the cover of darkness.
Hoofbeats suddenly echoed through the forest path.

Rider approaching!
Moments later, a mud-covered scout dismounted from his exhausted horse before dropping to his knees.
Eldorian Scout
An urgent message from Lady Vale to captain Lyra.
The soldiers stepped aside as a woman emerged from the command tent clad in silver armor lined with a dark blue cloak.
Captain Lyra.
Captain of Seraphina’s Vanguard forces and her closest friend.
Sharp-eyed and composed, she took the sealed message from the scout without hesitation.

Ravenhold still stands, but Eryndor controls most of the occupied districts.
Lyra opened the letter silently as nearby officers waited anxiously.

What are Lady Vale’s orders?
Lyra’s eyes moved across the battle plan before narrowing slightly.

A diversionary assault at first light.

Just enough to make Kael Draven believe the Vanguard intends to break the siege head-on.

Dawn slowly rose over Ravenhold.
From the eastern hills, silver Vanguard banners appeared through the fog.

(shouts) Commander , Vanguard banners at eastern ridges
Kael narrowed his eyes toward the distant army.
Captain Lucien
They’re preparing to attack our eastern flank.
Kael remained silent for a moment before turning toward his officers.
Kael
Pull back the western battalions. Reinforce the northern lines immediately.
Captain Lucien
Commander, that will leave the occupied districts exposed for a counter attack.
Kael
If the Vanguard breaks through our flank, the siege is over.
Horns echoed across the battlefield as Eryndor’s soldiers began withdrawing from the walls and occupied sectors.
But the Vanguard never advanced.
Deep within the occupied districts, Seraphina Vale led several Eldorian battalions through the shattered streets.
Caught completely off guard and heavily outnumbered, the remaining Eryndorian forces quickly lost ground.

Soldiers Drive them out of Ravenhold!! And secure the breach.
For Eldoria!!
Within hours, Eldoria reclaimed the district and secured the broken sector of the wall.
As news spread across the battlefield, Eryndor’s morale began to collapse.
Months of hard-fought progress had vanished in a single morning.
Captain Lucien
Commander... we can no longer maintain the siege.
Kael watched the reclaimed walls of Ravenhold in silence.
The silver banner of Eldoria rose once again.
For the first time in years, a faint smile crossed Kael Draven’s face.

(smirks) We shall meet again The "White Lioness" of Eldoria.
After a long silence, he finally turned away.
Kael
Order the retreat , we shall avenge our defeat but not today
Seraphina slowly walked through the reclaimed district as exhausted civilians emerged from hiding.
But something felt strange.
The homes were damaged from battle...
Yet most still stood untouched.
The civilians were frightened...
But not slaughtered.
Seraphina’s eyes narrowed slightly as she looked across the district.
This was not what she expected from the Black Flame of Eryndor.

Lady Vale... the district has been fully secured.
Seraphina remained silent for a moment, her eyes fixed on the retreating Eryndorian banners disappearing beyond the horizon.

...Perhaps the Black Flame is not the man they claim him to be.
Ravenhold siege aftermath
[ Eryndor Encampment — Later That Night ]
Rain poured across the retreating army as soldiers silently dismantled what remained of the siege camp.
Captain Lucien
We should’ve continued the assault.
Kael stood near the edge of the cliff overlooking the distant Ravenhold.
Captain Lucien
One more day and the city would’ve fallen.
Kael
Seraphina Vale outmaneuvered us the moment the Vanguard banners appeared.
Captain Lucien
Then she used civilians as cover for her counterattack.
Kael finally looked toward him.
Kael
She risked herself to save them.
For a brief moment, silence settled between them.
Captain Lucien
You almost sound impressed.
A faint smirk crossed Kael’s face.
Kael
I am , None were able to outsmart The "Black Flame" until now.
Captain Lyra
You’re thinking about him don't you?
Seraphina looked up from the battlefield reports.
Seraphina
I’m thinking about the siege.
Lyra crossed her arms before a faint smile appeared on her face.
Captain Lyra
You are still Terrible at lying, Sera. (Laughs)
Seraphina looked away with a quiet pout.

Excuse me? I'm not lying. Is it that obvious?
Captain Lyra
To me? Always.

The Black Flame retreats, leaves civilians untouched, and suddenly the White Lioness looks confused instead of celebrating with others.
For the first time that night, Seraphina let out a quiet sigh.

I was simply expecting something else.
Lyra’s smile softened slightly.

We should focus on rebuilding the defenses before Eryndor regroups.
Lyra studied her quietly for a moment.

There’s the commander I know.
Before Seraphina could respond, the fortress bells suddenly echoed across Ravenhold.
The atmosphere inside the command room immediately changed.

Incoming riders from the western ridge!

No captain Lyra, it appears to be our scouts.
Seraphina rose from her seat.
Moments later,
the doors opened as several exhausted scouts entered the hall covered in mud and ash.

Eryndor’s army is retreating north beyond the river crossings.
A wave of relief spread across the room.
Several officers visibly relaxed for the first time in days.

So the siege is truly over.
But Seraphina remained silent.
Eldorian Scout
There’s more.

According to several sources Commander Kael Draven personally ordered his men to leave supplies behind for the civilians before retreating.
Even Lyra looked surprised.
Eldorian officer
Why would The "Black Flame" known for being ruthless do that?
Eldorian officer
I suspect the supplies are laced with unknown substances to cause suffering among the people.
Ravenhold Commander
Our soldiers and medical staff on the field reported no such tampering and the civilians have already started distributing the supplies.
Seraphina slowly walked toward the shattered window overlooking the recovering city below.
Children were already emerging from hiding.
Soldiers were helping civilians clear the streets
.
And somewhere far beyond the horizon—
The Black Flame was retreating from Ravenhold.
Seraphina’s eyes narrowed slightly.
