A few minutes ago , it had been filled with shouting , glass breaking , heavy footsteps across the kitchen floor .
Now there was only silence

Blood spread slowly between the tiles , slipping into the cracks like dark water . Near his mother's body , Jungkook 's phone lay on the floor , its screen lighting up every few seconds with new notifications while the blood slowly crept closer to it
Jungkook stood motionless in the middle of the kitchen
His chest rose unevenly . Small breaths . Sharp breaths
One of her arms rested at an unnatural angle beside her body , fingers slightly curled as if she had tried to reach for something before the end
Jungkook stared at her without blinking .
The silence pressed harder against his ears
Another notification lit up the screen
Slowly , Jungkook stepped forward and picked the phone up from beside the spreading blood . His trembling fingers wrapping tightly arround it .
Behind him , his mother remained completely still .
