"The First Story "
Once upon a time, there were two young princesses who were destined for greatness, though they belonged to different races, followed different beliefs, and lived in separate realms. There existed two powerful kingdoms: the Kingdom of the Moon, situated above, and the Kingdom of the Sun, located below. Apart from these, there was also the Kingdom of Darkness — a fierce, violent realm whose people killed without mercy.
The children of the Sun were considered a precious gift to their people, just as the children of the Moon were a cherished gift to theirs. The King and Queen of the Sun had three children: the eldest was Princess Selina, followed by Prince Harry, and the youngest was Princess Sofia. These three were the rightful heirs to rule the Kingdom of the Sun, a powerful realm whose people held dominion over fire.
Meanwhile, the Kingdom of the Moon was regarded as the most powerful of all, renowned for its people’s natural talents in music and various arts, as well as their ability to easily master different forms of magic. The King and Queen of the Moon had two daughters, Princess Mera and Princess Mona, who were the sole heirs to the kingdom.
Princess Mona had a calm and composed nature and possessed the power of ice, along with a remarkable gift for all kinds of music — something she truly loved. She was also intelligent, kind, and hardworking. Above all, she was a skilled warrior, highly proficient in sword fighting, and could learn different types of magic with ease, though she never practiced dark sorcery.
Princess Sofia, on the other hand, was playful, lively, and yet deeply kind-hearted. She loved traveling and exploring new places. She was also a formidable fighter and a very intelligent princess, gifted with the power of fire.
These two were destined to be the saviors of their respective kingdoms and bloodlines, yet they were also foretold to be enemies. For the Sun and the Moon had carried a deep-seated conflict and resentment ever since the time of their ancestors. The two powerful kingdoms could never find peace or agreement; it was forbidden for those from the Moon to set foot upon the lands of the Sun, and the same rule applied in reverse. However, both faced a greater threat to their rule: a single, powerful kingdom — fierce and unyielding — that controlled all dark magic. No one dared stand in the way of what they planned to do.
The people of the Moon lived quiet lives, acting with calmness and never rushing into anything. In contrast, the people of the Sun were known for their fiery tempers and their refusal to ever admit defeat.
Despite everything, the two destined princesses shared a single desire: peace and order for everyone. Above all, they hoped for harmony and freedom for all who lived in their lands — including the human world and those ordinary citizens within their kingdoms who were born without powers, aside from those gifted with magic.
But were they truly destined to be enemies? Or would they stand side by side to confront and defeat their single, powerful, and formidable foe? For fate had decreed that they would remain apart, never see eye to eye, and become bitter rivals in the future.
"Their First Meeting When They Were Young"
Princess Sofia ran swiftly, while a red deer chased closely behind her.
She shouted, “Help! Help! Someone please help me!” as she ran for her life.
“Why is there no one here at all in this forest? Is there no hunter around? Why does everything have to go wrong for me today? Why can’t I even release just a little bit of my power — enough just to scare this deer away? Help me, please… is there really no one who can hear me?”
Suddenly, a young child appeared, floating down from above. She wore a pure white dress that glowed radiantly under the light of the moon. Her beauty was breathtaking and incomparable; though half of her face was covered by a veil, her stunning eyes were the most striking feature, and one could easily see the extraordinary beauty she held within.
As the young girl ran, she was nearly caught and devoured by the deer, who intended to make her its dinner. Fortunately, the mysterious child appeared right then and shot an arrow straight into the deer’s head, saving her just in time.
Princess Sofia immediately hid herself. “Oh thank goodness! Someone finally heard me and came to my aid. Thank you so much… but why didn’t I see her earlier, or even sense her presence? She seems to have wings, yet I didn’t see any… Ah, maybe she has the power to fly and move with the wind. It would be safer if I stay hidden behind this tree for now instead of coming out. She might be an enemy,” Princess Sofia thought to herself.
“Because Father and Mother always told me never to trust anyone easily, even if they saved your life. So I’ll wait here until she leaves. I won’t show myself or reveal who I am yet; she might have bad intentions toward me.”
She peeked out cautiously. “Why did she go toward that deer? I know those creatures eat people… maybe she is just hungry like that beast?”
“Why is she coming this way? She won’t eat me, will she? We look about the same age, just children… is she walking toward me?”
The young girl called out gently, “Little one, are you alright? Did you get hurt or scrape yourself while running earlier? Come here… why are you so quiet over there? Are you really okay? Please come out from behind that tree. Are you just afraid of me? Come on, show yourself. Don’t be scared — I won’t bite you. I can walk you home if you’d like. Just trust me,” said Princess Mona softly.
“Are you sure you’re fine?” Princess Mona asked, her voice filled with worry. “Please, introduce yourself… or just say your name, even if it’s just one word. Please speak to me…”
Princess Sofia finally replied, “Ah, yes… I am truly fine. I wasn’t hurt or scratched at all. I am really okay. Thank you for your concern, my kind friend… and thank you so much for saving my life. I am deeply grateful to you.”
“Oh, I am very happy to be of help to you. Come on, let me see you,” Princess Mona said warmly. “You know, it is just the two of us here in the forest, and night has already fallen. You should go home now, before something bad happens to you.”
“Alright then. I shall go ahead now. My parents are probably looking for me and worrying since I stayed out so late wandering around,” Princess Mona said. “Well then, until we meet again… please take care on your way home. I’m sure your parents are worried and searching for you too.”
“Wait just a moment…” Princess Sofia stepped out from hiding so she could be seen. “Can you please walk me home, my superhero? Even though we don’t know each other and only just met and spoke… can I trust you? If I ask if you can accompany me home, won’t you refuse my humble request? Oh, by the way, I am Princess Sofia Vergara, from the Kingdom of the Sun. I am the youngest daughter of the King and Queen of the Sun. What is your name? Please tell me, so that if we ever meet again, we will know who each other is. I promise I will never forget you, my kind friend… my one and only superhero in my whole life.”
“Can you please turn around… just for a moment, so I can see your true face? When I saw you flying earlier, there was a cloth covering your face, so I couldn’t see it clearly. But I could see the extraordinary beauty you possess and your strong charisma. When the moonlight shone upon you, you sparkled — looking exactly like an angel descending from heaven just to save me. I also saw the mark on your forehead, glowing brightly in the shape of a moon… do you perhaps come from the lineage of the Moon?” asked Princess Sofia.
“Yes, you are correct. I belong to the line of the Moon. I am Princess Mona Moore, the youngest and only daughter of the King and Queen of the Moon,” Mona replied.
“Wait… does she not know what is forbidden for our people? Does she not know the laws of the Kingdom of the Sun? How can she be unaware that it is forbidden for the children of the Moon and the Sun to meet, due to the ancient conflict and misunderstanding between our ancestors? Why doesn’t she know this? Father King strictly commanded me never to associate with anyone from the Kingdom of the Sun, no matter what their intentions or purpose may be… why is she completely unaware of this?” Princess Mona wondered silently to herself.
“Ah, please, may you walk with me?” Sofia asked again. “Because from the very first moment I saw you, I knew I could trust you. I could clearly see from your appearance and your character that you are kind, and that you have no intention of hurting me or thinking bad things — isn’t that true? After all, you saved me… that is why I am so very grateful to you. May I ask you something? Why do you cover your face, even though it is night? And why did you save me? Because I know that others out there would not have saved me — they would have just let me get torn apart and become that deer’s dinner. So please… can you answer my question?”
“Of course I will answer…” Princess Mona began. “When I first saw you from up ahead, I was already sitting in that tree nearby. I thought a huge monster was running wild because your scream was so loud and I heard it immediately. But then I saw it was just a child like me, who needed help. I didn’t hesitate to assist you because I felt deep sympathy for you. What else could I have done? Would I have just neglected you, or simply watched while you ran in fear, helpless? So I used my skill with the bow and arrow… and perhaps it was just luck that I hit the deer right in the head. And regarding your question about why I cover my face, even though it is night and only the two of us are here… it is simply because I do not trust people easily. I do not wish to be recognized, and I truly do not want anyone to see my face. So yes… you may trust me, just as I do not trust you fully yet.”
“Why are you like that? Don’t you want us to trust each other?” Princess Sofia asked. “Because I promise, you can truly trust me with all your heart… even if it costs me my very life!”
“I want to ask you something,” Princess Mona said seriously. “Do you know anything at all about the ancient stories? About the two kingdoms that are forbidden to meet? Or do you know nothing about the rules and the things we must never do? Why are you here in this forest, and why did you suddenly come down to the World of Humans?”
“To tell you the truth… I ran away from our lessons and classes,” Sofia admitted. “I didn’t know that this place was the World of Humans. I am just naturally curious about everything, and all I really wanted was to wander around and observe the beautiful things in the world we live in… isn’t that okay?”
“Ah, you are right… because we children are naturally curious about everything. So there is no harm in talking about it,” Mona said with a gentle smile. “Come along now, let’s go. I will escort you home, so you arrive safely.”
“Alright, let’s go. It looks like night is deepening, and we might end up staying here until morning just because we talk so happily. But thank you for this night,” Sofia replied.
They began walking toward the Kingdom of the Sun, happily chatting and sharing stories along the way.
“Alright, this is far enough. You might still be seen by the guards, and it is forbidden for our people to make friends with other clans or outsiders we do not know,” Sofia said. “Thank you so much for walking with me. We will surely meet again… thank you very much indeed, my little friend. If only you knew how much I admire your beauty and kindness, because of the light that shines within your heart.” She waved and shouted joyfully toward the Princess of the Moon.
“Goodbye for now, until we meet again, my dear little friend!” Mona called back, waving happily.
“Take care of yourself… until next time!”
