Prologue

"Get up!!", a female voice spoke. "Stop, telling me what to do,...", he said after he sniffed and spit out blood. "I'll always tell you what to do, you're still my naive dumb little brother", she said. He stood up panting a bit. "I'm so sick of you all", he said, with his long black sword. "Oh give me a break, you're taking this too far!!", she said. "Too far? You've always treated me like shit!!", he snarled. "Like shi-come on seriously? This is what its all about?",she asked. "Its about a lot of things!! A lot!! You don't understand!!", he yelled. "Okay I get it okay? You've been hurt, at school, at home I know and I-I know I've been off track in our relationship but just....look,its not something to grudge over", she said. "Hahaha, this is not about you only, you've always treated everything like its all about you, well news flash big sister, this is not about you, leave that title of yours, before you get hurt", he said. "Me? Get hurt? Have you forgotten my title and the prophesies? It seems words alone won't get to you,....", she said as she stood her stance. "Mmf, prophesies? I'll take those odds and convert them damn prophesies and prove that they're a nothing but insolence to my existence!!", he said and stood his stance. "Mmf. that long sword of yours, its the only reason I've been gaining ground and the upper hand against you, its too long, you and your dumb ideas, and that side you chose....", she mocked. "Shut up! I'm gonna show you what I'm really made of,....Queen of Light!!" "I'm gonna end this once and for all, King of Darkness!!"

Chapter One

Inheritance

"Ouuf....ugh, what the-mom!!" "Don't give me that, get up, time for school" "I'm not going today", he said and covered his head. "Ohh Gin?", his mom called out. "Huh?", he uncovered himself as she pounced on him and started kissing his cheeks. "Ugh Mom! No,...haha,okay okay, fine!! I'm going I'm going geez", he said and she stopped as she chuckled. "Geez you're childish sometimes you know", he said. "Hey! I'm your mother, don't talk to me like that", she said. "Uh,..sorry", he said looking down a bit. She lifted his chin up. "One last kiss", she said and kissed his forehead. "You're the only one who really care for me you know?", he said. "Don't be silly, everyone here loves you, and that includes Gwen", she said. "Ugh,..I'm highly skeptical about that", he said. She pulled his ear "Ow ow owwwww, okay I'm upppp!!", he stood up with his ear being pulled. "Good, I'll prepare breakfast for you", she walked out and went back downstairs. Gin's mother, her name was Victoria, she was brown haired and gorgeous to a naked eye, his hair was brown also, he was in his late teens and his big sister Gwen, who was blonde and lastly their father Kerius who was a blonde like Gwen. They later on consumed breakfast and were about to depart for school. "Make sure you've packed everything okay?", Victoria said. "I'm not a kid anymore mom", Gin said. "Yes you are,...lil one", Gwen said as she laughed heading out. "Shut up", Gin said "Or what? You're gonna tell dad when he comes back from work?", she mocked. "Okay enough you two, Gwen, why don't you head out with your brother", Victoria said. "What no! So that he'll embarass me at school? No way", she said. "And how will he actually do that?", Victoria questioned. "Just,...you know,....just for being there, I mean we're in different grades, and he's like two years younger", Gwen said. "Gwen!! He's your brother!!", Victoria exclaimed. "Its okay mom,...I'll walk on my own,...stop trying to change the situation", he said walking out as he passed by Gwen and took off. "See what I'm talking about? He's a sore loser", Gwen said. "Gwen!!", Victoria yelled. "Okay, mom, geez, I'll stop", Gwen replied. "Come give me a hug", Victoria opened her arms. "Ugh, please, I'm not a ki-" "Just come and give me a hug already!!", she yelled again as Gwen went and sank in her mother's arms. She rubbed her back a bit. "You teens nowadays,...a freaking headache,...take care okay? And your little brother" "I'II try", she walked out. Gin stepped into the hallway among the populated crowd of students, in that era there weren't any concrete cities yet, almost everything was made of wood including homes, schools , the only things that were concrete and metal made were the two Kingdoms, the light and the darkness. "Have you heard? The King of Darkness and The King of Light died in their duel", one of the female students said chatting with each other. "I know right? So that's why this year is the year of submission, another king and queen/King to be appointed again", they continued chatting. One of his fellow friends tagged along beside him. Her name was Niva. Brown hair, brown eyes and pretty. "Well someone's in a gloomy mood today", Niva said beside him. "Its nothing", Gin replied. "Come onnn, don't gimme that", she said rubbing his hair. "If people see you touching me, they'll think we're dating or something", he said. "Haa!! Don't care what they think", she said. "Well,...I've been,..nothing" "Mmm", she hummed glaring at him. "I can feel your gaze eating my soul away", he said. They turned left heading to their lockers. "Is it about Vector and his friends again?", she asked. "Don't worry about it", he said. "Gin, I-I'm s-sorry", she said, they arrived at their lockers. "What are you even sorry about?", he opened his locker. "Um, I don't know, I just, it just felt like I just had to say it", Niva opened hers and stuffed her books in. "Well, you shouldn-", out of the blue he felt an impact behind him as he banged toward the locker with his face and fell down, it was Vector , he had shouldered him behind his back and Gin's face made an impact contact against the locker. "Heyy!! What the hell!!", Niva yelled kneeling down to his aid, Gin was bleeding in the nose covering his nose with his hand. "Gin, are you okay?", she asked. "I'll be fine", he said as he sniffed a bit. Brinna one of Vector's female companions grabbed Niva from behind and interlocked her arms with hers and pulled her away. "Heyy what are you doing? Let go of me!!", she fidgeted. Vector kneeled down facing Gin. "Mmm, we meet again shortbread, with both Kings dead, I wonder, which positions we'll end up in,...I'm pretty sure mommy and daddy aren't gonna sign your form, I bet Gwen, the golden cub in your house's the one who's going and I see you've been getting cozy with Niva here,..what makes you think you deserve to be with her? You two are dating aren't you?", he asked with smile. "What?! No we're not!", Niva yelled. "Oh yeah?", Vector said and punched Gin's cheek. "No!! Stop it!!", Niva fidgeted. "Be still lover birdie", Brinna spoke behind her. "Oh?? You're definitely dating", Vector stood up then he kicked him hard in his stomach as he grunted and wrapped his waist with his arms due to the pain. "No! Stop!!", Niva yelled once more. Vector stood up. "As long as you keep clinging onto her, you'll face retribution whenever we bump into each other", Vector said. "Shut up!! You don't even own me you prick!! What the hell is wrong with you?", Niva said. "Hahaha", he walked away with his friends. Niva got released and rushed to his aid. "Gin, oh God", she said helping him to stand. The bell rang and Gwen passed by with her friends. "Can't you help your brother?", Niva said looking up at Gwen passing by. "You help him, you're his girlfriend right?", Gwen said and her friends laughed walking away. "How romantic", one of Gwen's friends said. "Haha pathetic", another one said. "Are you two really related by blood?", Niva asked. "Shockingly yes", Gin said while they got up, " thanks, I can walk from here on" "Oh ok-kay, I should head to class", she said. "Yeah, sure me too" "Let's meet up at our usual place at break", Niva said. "Yeah sure", he said and walked away. Niva sighed and walked away afterwards.

Gin sat outside at the wooden benches waiting for Niva at break. Quite lost in thought with his chin rested on his palm. "Heyyyyyyyyy!!" Niva appeared out of the blue yelling in his ear as he startled. "Haaaawhaaaaa, what the-why-don't do that!!", he yelled wth his hands forward. "Hahaha, you were lost in your own world dummy", she sat much closer beside him and bumped her side arm against his, facing him as she replied. He avoided eye contact a bit getting a bit shy. "Look, Gin, you don't have to worry about Vector and the others okay? They don't own me, plus I'm my own person, I won't let them hurt you again, I promise", she said. "....Its,..not like I'm scared of them you know", he said still facing down a bit. "Ohhh?? That right? So which means I can touch ...you....how...ever...I...want", she whispered in his ear as his cheeks turned beet red. "Uhhhh, wh-whahhh?", he said quite flustered. "Hahaha, I'm just messing with ya....Gin,..look on the bright side, maybe this year is gonna be our year,...you know, its the year of 'Submission' The Year Of Submission, is a registration whereby people at the age of 16 - 25 submit their personal information like their date of birth , eye color, blood type etc to either the Light Side or The Dark Side. Two Statues stood at the submission portal, one of the statues is white in color with a female warrior with wings representing the Light side and the other one is a black statue with a male samurai with horns representing Dark side. So each person ought to submit their personal signed form into the portal of their choice. Once it is done the following day they will be transported automatically to their positions. Either to be one of the warriors working for the King/Queen of darkness or King/Queen of Light or to be the King or the Queen or end up being one of the blacksmith of either one. Each person is to be appointed to be something or someone in their chosen side. History had it The King Of Darkness and the King Of Light both faced their deaths in their final duel, so that is why new Kings and Queens had to be appointed again.

"I don't think my parents will sign my form", Gin said. "What?Why?" "They're going to sign Gwen's,..I just know it", he said. "Hey,..well if they don't I will sign it", Gwen said with certainty. "Seriously Niv? You're my guardian now?", he asked. "Hhaha well um, I just said that to make you feel better,...did it work?", she asked. "Haha, yeah I think so, I'll be watching you from the sidelines, since we'll be the civilians", he said as he smiled a bit. "You know, You don't really smile often, and when you do its like your smile is getting better everytime you do", she said taking out her food. Gin looked at her. "Really?", he asked looking at her. Niva widened her eyes then she looked back at him and quickly looked at her food while blushing. "Uhhhhh, I mean uhhhh, let's eat!!!", she bit her sandwich and Gin chuckled.

School ended after a few periods and both Gin and Niva parted ways going back home. Gin arrived. "Please let them sign it", he mumbled in his brain. he stepped into the kitchen and saw Gwen with their parents. "Gin!!', Victoria rushed and embraced him. "Hie, mom", he greeted. "Hey, you okay? What's this?", she rubbed a few dry dark blood on his nose. "Uh yeah, its, I spilled some strawberry milk juice I bought near my nose", he said rubbing it. "Oh okay", she rubbed his hair. "Um, mom? Dad?", he called out. "What is it bud?", Kerius replied. "Umm, can you please,..sign my form?", he said and they both froze and Gwen smirked a bit looking at him. "What kind of form is it honey?", Victoria asked. "Um Light X Dark", he said. "Nooo..Gin, I, what if,what if you get hurt? Its not a game", Victoria said. "Yeah, that's a direct no, let your sister go, she's older plus she's resilient, an impressive athlete and chess player, she's the one who's suited to go, not you, you're in uhhh what club are you in again?", Kerius asked. "Uh,..poetry", he replied. "Poetry right,..its good but, when it comes to Light X Dark it doesn't benefit anything, continue with your studies and your ...um poetry", he said and stood up walking away with Gwen. "Look at my daughter, already becoming a warrior", he said talking to her while they were departing into the diner. "Aw father, you praise me too much", Gwen replied and they faded away. Gin sighed lowly and stuffed his form in his pocket. "Gin,...sweety", Victoria said. "Its okay mom,..", he said and walked out heading to his room. Later that night. After dinner, He was painted with frustration and anger. "I knew it, they'll never sign it", he punched the walls with his fists. "What's wrong with people?!!! Why are they like this??!!", he said attempting to weep. He suddenly stopped and froze. "That's it", he hastily took his form from his trousers's pocket and exited his room. It was around 23:10pm. He slowly entered Gwen's room. She was dead asleep. He gulped and started to sneak in approaching her night stand, and saw her form. "Bingo", he whispered and took out his pen. He then copied his mother's and father's signatures, since he was a poet he was also a writer, copying things as they were was one of his specialties. He exited. The following day at school, students were packed at the submission portals. "Oh my Godddddd, this is it Gin!!!!! Wait, you being here means that,...", Niva realized. "Yes, they signed it", Gin said with a satistfying expression. "What?! What made them change their minds?", she asked. "Well, I just tried harder to convince them and they agreed", he replied. "Haa!! I bet Gwen was pissed huh?", she said. "Uh, y-yeah, kinda" "I can't contain my excitement!! And I'm also glad that we're heading home after this, which means no school todayyyyy", she said while they were walking among the crowd heading to the submission portals. "You're looking forward to be the Queen?", he asked. "Umm, well, like,even if I don't end up being one, I have no pressure about it, plus being the Queen has too many responsibilities" "Mm" "Okay here I go, I hope we'll both be transported in the same region,...", she said. "Yeah, me too", he said. "Okay then", she froze for a moment then she hugged him and he hugged back, quite a bit shocked. She broke the hug and kissed him on his cheek. "Bye Gin, until we meet again!!", she yelled a bit going to the female line which was now shorter and the male line was still a bit long. "I'm sorry mom, but, I have to, maybe I'll find something better there, with Niva at my side, maybe it wouldn't be so bad......wait,...what if most of the ones who dislike me are also going to the Light side, what if Gwen is going to the Light side too? What if Vector is going there too? And what if I end up working for either of them? That would be much more worse than here!! Damnit!! What should I do??Should I risk it? No! Shit, I have no choice but to join the Dark side, Gwen would never join the Dark side, she always fantasized and dreamt about the Light Side, I have to make sure she doesn't see me here, I have to go to the Dark side, what about Niva? Shit, I'm sorry too Niva, I guess I'll be alone on this one, even if I turn out to be a regular warrior or a black smith I have no pressure about it, as long as no one bothers me or treat me poorly I'll be fine", he spoke in his mind. He saw Niva looking back waving her head and then she she smiled at him and raised a sharp sign and Gin smiled and did the same. "I'm sorry Niva...and Mom", he said, since he figured to join another side he waited for everyone to submit, then he lastly walked along and stood at the dark side portal. He stood there holding his form, his heart pumping. He gulped, then he put it in the portal and returned back and tagged along with Niva heading back home. They sat on the dinner table eating. "Well this is it, please don't do anything stupid honey", Victoria said. "Haha, don't worry guys, I'll be fine, I've been dreaming about this my whole life", Gwen said. "Make us proud honey", Kerius said. "I will, don't you worry,...Gin? Aren't you gonna say something?", Gwen asked with a smirk. "Uhh, be safe", he said. "That's it? Jealous much? Well, I don't blame you, I can tell it sucks to be feeble", she mocked. Gin clenched his fists facing down with a spoon in his hand. "Gwen!! Stop it", Victoria said. "Well its true", Kerius said. "Seriously Kee?!!", Victoria yelled. Kerius shrugged. "Its okay mom", Gin stood up and went to his room. "Always a sore loser", Gwen said. Gin entered his room and closed it harshly. and punched the walls again, his knuckles were becoming bruised with that habit of his. "Even if I become a blacksmith at least,..I'll learn how to wield a sword and show them that I'm not weak,....damn it!!", he punched again. He later on slid to bed and laid there facing up the ceiling. "This is it,...the next morning I'll have a different life,...I hope this risk will be worth it,..damnit", he drifted to sleep.

He deliberately opened his eyes, his vision was still blur, he hummed a bit he saw himself wearing a black dark royal attire sitting on a chair. "Huhhh?? Wh-what is,..oh yeah today is supposed to be the day we'll be transported to our-Huh?", he hastily stood up with his eyes widened, he was in a fancy dark hall, he stood up and looked around and saw the chair he was sitting on. "Is th-that-that a-a th-throne?!!!!", he asked himself entirely shocked. "Your majesty", a man bowed behind him. Who had a black cloak. "Huhhhhhh?!!!! Your what????I am, am I?", he stammered. "Yes, you are,....the new King Of Darkness" "Huh?"

Chapter Two

"What? Hold on, hold on, I yearned to be at least be a normal warrior and start from there but,....to be the King? I never really thought I was going to be one, I thought the odds were one in a billion,...mm I guess they are, maybe that one just happened to be me....holy shhhittt!" "Your Highness, allow me to formally introduce myself, I am Allor Lavoc, one of your three dark advisors, I possess a seer's ability", Allor bowed. "Uhh-uhh, su-sure okay" "Meet the rest of them, Paller Gomez and Kadma Tekeen", he said as the two of them appeared behind him at his sides. "A pleasure my Lord, I am Paller Gomez, I possess a warrior's ability", Paller spoke, she had white hair, blue eyes. "And I am Kadma Tekeen, I possess a mage's ability", he said, he had red long hair and red eyes. "Okay, this is, too much? What am I supposed to do?" "My Lord, Paller will be in charge of details of what you should be aware of as a king", Allor said. "Oh right", Gin said. The other two advisors exited. "Allow me to elaborate full details my Lord", she bowed. "Uh, there's please, raise your head, there's no need to be entirely formal", Gin said. Paller rose, she sighed. "Very well, I'm going to start,....there are certain roles a king should take part in and common responsibilities,....symbolic figurehead, advisory roles, cultural ambassador, unifying figure charit-" "Wait wait wait! Ugh, just slow down geez, make me understand much better,please", Gin said. Paller sighed again. "Symbolic figurehead, is the same as representing the state of nation, followed by advisory roles, you should consult with us advisors, ministers and other officials, then cultural ambassador, you ought to promote national culture, heritage and values then diplomatic role, meeting with foreign leaders and ambassadors, then ceremonial duties, you should participate in offical events,ceremonies and rituals". she explained. "Ohhh I now get it, but, I'm gonna have to write that down or I'll have trouble recalling", Gin said. "You needn't to worry my Lord, I'll be informing you every single day, and mount every word into your head", she said. "Okay, that's good too" "In some cases, a king may also have consitutional powers when you sign laws, appoint officials or dissolving government, and military leadership, as in commander-in-chief of armed forces", she said. "I really gonna have to get used to everything I guess", he said. "Precisely, also, you should be wary of those who seek favor for personal gain, threats from within, including us advisors or nobles so don't trust anyone, not even me", she said. "Mmm, you seem like you wouldn't do that though", Gin said. "My Lord!!", Paller yelled as he voice echoed and there was a moment of silence between them, while she glared back at Gin with her dark cold glare in her eyes. Gin gulped. "My Lord,..you are a very sensitive and crucial figure in this kingdom, if you're removed, then its all over, so I'll say this again, never trust anyone, even me", Paller said. "U-understood", Gin spoke. "External threats, including wars, or diplomatic manipulators, poor counsel, surrounding yourself with yes-men and unqualified advisors, so be aware, corruption and abuse of power, letting power corrupt your judgement and actions, then complacency, which is becoming too comfortable or disconnected from your people and lastly unforseen challenges,..natural disasters, economic downturns or unexpected events", she elaborated. "Mmmm", he sunk his hands in his hair. "You'll get into it much sooner", Paller said. "Mmm alright", he said. Paller glared at him for a moment again. "Uhm...is there,...another thing?", Gin asked. "Yes,...", she sighed," My Lord-" "Please you can call me Gi-" "That's just it!! We!! No one, should call you by your name, everyone should always and forever be formal with you, even I and your other two advisors, you should be feared, people should fear you, don't hesitate to spill brutal words, don't even dare to act nice just because we're at your side, be selfish. be self-aware, no one should raise their voice to you like how I am doing right now and don't let anyone question your judgement", she said. Gin took a moment to process. "O-okay", he said. "And you should fix your posture", she stood much closer, she was the same height as his but in age she was two years older. "Chest out chin up" He did so, but he was a bit slouched. She touched his lower back at his tail bone. "Uhm" Then her other hand on his chest. "Chest out, a bit more", she said. His heart started to beat fast. "There,...be confident, be boastful got it?", she questioned with her face very much closer now. "Uh-ye-yes", he said, His cheeks beet red. Paller widened her eyes, realizing now that she was much closer to his face. She backed away. "Ehm", she cleared her throat. The doors opened wide and all officials entered. "Meet all of the dark officials of this kingdom", she said while they entered. "Peter at your service my Lord", Peter the chancellor said and bowed. "Samuel here my Lord", Samuel the Steward ,he bowed. "Gefy ,it is I", Gefy the chamberlain bowed. "Jasmine here my Lord", she bowed, she was the Seneschal, who supervised the royal household staff, ceremonies and events. "And I am Frank", he bowed, the master of the guard. "George here", he bowed, the treasurer. "I'm Kimi, a pleasure", she bowed, she was the scribe or secretary. And the other nobles and courtiers. Both a man and a woman barged in harshly and everyone looked back. "What is the meaning of this?!", Allor spoke aloud. "Uh apologies, my Lord, but these two were persistent and they slipped through, the other guards are still getting to their positions, I was the only one at the entrance", the guard said. "Your majesty, please I need your help, my goods, he wants to steal my goods!!", a woman exclaimed while bowing. "Your goods? That is my store woman,...my Lord,she's a thief, they've been people like that recently who have been claiming things that aren't theirs for theft", the man said. "You liar! He's lying, my-I worked so hard to obtain those goods, I traveled in the mountains and risked my life for them, so that my children wouldn't starve", the woman wept. "Huhh?? Are you serious? I've been running that store for three years, and I can see you're putting a really good effort to convince the Lord otherwise", the man replied with his arms folded. "Go to hell! I won't let you take my hard labor!!!", the woman hastily stood up attempting to fight the man as she was held still by the guard. "Calm down!! Woman!! Have respect!! You're in the presence of the king!!", the guard said. She got down on her knees. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry my Lord, I'm-I just, its been hard, my kids, my husband dying, everything", she wept. "Ugh, seriously? Can't no one see that she's faking? Geez, that store has been passed down from generations, from my great grandfather, grandfather ,my father and down to me, many people have been wanting to get their hands on it because of how well its known and the way customers like to attend in it", the man replied. "My Lord, if I may, I have top information that I ought to inform you", Kimi said. A secretary who was in charge of records official documents, correspondance and history. "Pass it", Allor said as he walked torwards her, she whispered. He nodded. He walked back; "My Lord, word has it, the ruler of the Light side is actually a Queen,....and her name is Gwen", Allor said as Gin's heart ached with his eyes widened. He sat down on his throne. "Gwen? No, no! Wasn't she supposed to be a warrior or something? Gwen? The Queen of Light?! That's absurd!! Why?Why?Why? Why must she always be blocking my path to happiness, why?!......", Gin was sunk in his thoughts with his hands sunk in his hair facing down. "Screw this,...all of it!! Its my time now, and I'm going to take it!!" "My Lord please, if my store gets taken away, I'll starve with my children", the woman pleaded. "Your store? I can't believe this! I won't let anyone take what was given to me by my father, that store is precious to me, I'd die for it!!" , the man said. "Mm two people, different stories, but same claims, what will you do my Lord?", Paller asked beside him. Gin raised his head. His expression changed. "Put these scum away, I don't have time for such insolence", Gin spoke in a cold manner. "Come on, you heard the King", the guard grabbed them both. "No! Please, my Lord!!", the woman cried. "My Lord, arrest her, or I'll be in danger", they got taken out. Paller smiled. "Now we have a king", she said.

Later afterwards

Gin was being directed to his suite. "Paller, I need you to do something for me", he said, while walking along the hallway on their way to Gin's new suite. "Yes my Lord?", Paller replied. "I need something that can make me,.....invisible", he said. "Invisible?" "Rephrase, I don't want my identity to be known by the Kingdom of Light, not yet", he said. "I'll have Kadma handle that, since he's specialized in magic", Paller said. "Very well, that will be splendid", he said. Paller looked aside at him with the corner of her eye. "My Lord,...did you,....snap?", Paller asked. "What?", Gin questioned. "You've,...changed, somehow", Paller said. "Its nothing". he replied. Paller narrowed her brows. "Can it be? The moment Allor mentioned the Queen of Light's name he started acting bizarre and he suddenly changed", Paller mumbled in her head. "Does the Lord and the Queen of Light know each other?" They arrived. "We're here", Paller said ,standing toward the purple dark door. "Raise your hand" "What?" "Raise your hand", Paller said and Gin did so as the door opened. "What-the", he surely was surprised. "This door can only opened by you only, anyone other than the King cannot enter", Paller said, "once you enter inside, I cannot, you'll have to invite me in, then I'll be able to enter" "Oh,...", he entered inside."You can come in", he said and she successfully entered. "Now for the last part,...your abilities", Paller said. Gin sighed afterwards. "Unfortunately um, I uh, don't possess um any impressive special talents like fighting and uh stuff", Gin said. Paller looked at him with her dead blue eyes. "Excuse me my Lord", she said as she grabbed his side head and pressed his forehead with her thumb and he entered a trance. "Wh-what is,..this?", Gin questioned. "This is where you'll see what ability you possess", she said with her eyes closed. In his trance he could only see symbols and human figures in plain darkness depending on the type of ability he looked at. "Swordsman,....the ability to use and wield a sword", she said and he saw a human figure with a standing style with a sword. "What?! Swordsman? I have,...swordsman ability?", he asked shockingly. "Precisely,...Decay,...the ability to rot anyone you touch when it is activated", she said. "Whoah, that's a nasty one", he replied. "Dark void,....the ability of producing dark energy and when used in attack against your foe, they'll bleed through their nose,eyes,ears and then they die", she explained. "Dark decoy,...the ability to form a clone" "Whoah" "But you can only form one clone maximum" "Understood" "Then lastly, your finishing blow,...black blast supreme,....a final powerful dark blast that wipes out even the Queen herself", she said as Gin clenched his fists. Paller let go and their visions returned back to normal. A loud knock came by and they both looked back. "My Lord? You in there???", It was Kadma, he knocked again. and Gin opened it. "What is it?", Gin asked. "Come, you have to see this!!"

Chapter Three

The Light Side

Gates were dismantled, it seemed like a break in attempt, people were crowded by the gate chattering. "Come with me", Kadma said. "There's been an attack at the entrance, the gates are broken down but the suspects evaded away" "No,...fetch some of the gaurds and head there, report back the situation,...", Gin said. "Understood my Lord", Kadma departed. "Paller, get George the treasurer here", Gin ordered. "As you wish", Paller left. "Mmmmm", Gin rubbed his hair rapidly. "This is, too much!! Either, way, I have to do this,...Niva...I miss y-" "My Lord!", George arrived as he bowed, Gin cleared his throat. "George,...how are our finances looking?" "Surprisingly normal, with the previous King dead it was clear as day that this kingdom would reach a high rate of inflation and people might've started to go bersek and refuse to pay taxes,...but, things went otherwise, and that's a good thing, regarding during this dilemma", George explained. "Mm, that's good,...keep an eye on the finances", Gin said. "Understood my Lord", he bowed as he was dismissed. "My Lord,... there's a prophesy, you should know about", Paller said. "Prophesy?" "Yes,...", she sighed afterwards. "whenever a new King or Queen is appointed, a new prophesy is formed....sometimes it may contain riddles that no one will even understand, some may be straight forward, and some, might not be. The last one had complicated riddles, no one managed to crack it resulting insufficient knowledge of the final battle", Paller elaborated. "And the current prophesy?", he asked. Paller paused for a moment. "It is said,...that the King of darkness faces his own color,....I think you already know what that means right?", she questioned. "Yes,...faces his own color,....black, darkness, death, which means the one who's going to make that happen is the queen of light, during our final battle", Gin said, he clenched his fists. Paller saw it. "Prophesy huh? I don't give a shit about the damn prophesy! I'm going to decapitate the queen of light! Whatever it takes,...I don't give a damn if I have to eat shit to do it!!", Gin snarled. "Language my Lord", Paller said. "Uh-uh, oh yes, ehmm, get Kadma here now" "Yes my Lord", she departed. She arrived back after a while with Kadma. "My Lord", Kadma bowed. "Kadma, you mentioned a mage ability that resides in you correct?", Gin asked. "Precisely my Lord" "Mm, I need you to, make me invisible, I don't want the kingdom of light to know who's ruling the this dark kingdom", Gin said. "Yes my Lord,...if you can be so kind and step closer", Kadma said. Gin did so. Kadma raised his hand towards Gin's face. He closed his eyes and his hand began to glow red. Gin's aura activated and started mimicking Kadma's hand aura. "Done", Kadma said. "Mmm" "No one will be able to tell who you are, even seers, their vision of you will be just a shadow,..", Kadma said. "Good, nicely done Kadma" "You're most welcome my Lord", he bowed. "Mmm, concealed as darkness, but everywhere like madness", Gin said. "Mmm? My Lord, was that a poem phrase?", Kadma asked. "Well, yes, it is" "Whoah, which book is it from?", Kadma asked in turn. "Well I wrote it myself", Gin said. "What?", Kadma said surprisingly. "You're a poet my Lord?", Paller asked. "Yes" "That's impressive!", Kadma said. "Oh?You know, you two are the first ones that just complimented my poetry", he said. "Really? I would love to read them my Lord!", Paller said. "Me too,...uh,...my Lord!", he quickly bowed. Gin paused for a moment while a little shocked. It was surely the first time someone had took interest into reading his poems, he later on smiled with content.

Meanwhile at the Kingdom of Light

"Still no sign your highness", Liam said, he was a mage. white cloak, blonde shot hair. "What?Why?Any explaination for this?", Gwen asked. She was sitting on her throne. "I believe it has something to do with dark magic your highness", Liam replied. "Dark,..magic,..huh,..why is the king of darkness concealing his self?", she questioned as she widened her eyes a bit,...she smiled afterwards. "concealed as darkness, but everywhere like madness", she said while smiling. "It reminds me of Gin's favorite phrase from his own made poems,....I can't believe I'm actually thinking of him as of now,.....that idiot", she said as she chuckled lightly. "You just sit home tight Gin,...and let your big sister handle this,...I'll show you how reliable and dependable I can be", she said in her head. "So,...the bandits", Liam said. "I suggest we launch an attack to the dark side!", Sydney said by the entrance, her arms folded, one of Gwen's closest friends from school. "Don't you have any respect towards the queen?!", Liam exclaimed. "Let her be, Liam, Sydney? What do you mean?", Gwen asked. "Well, since their gates were attacked by some bandits, I guess we ought to make a move, kind of a way to show them what the new light kingdom is capable of", Sydney said. "I agree", Cassy, another one of Gwen's friends intercepted the conversation as she stood beside Sydney, she too was a warrior. "This is madness!!", Liam said. "Perhaps not", Gwen said. "Elaborate thoroughly your highness", Liam said while bowing. "We'll get to meet what our new foes are like, that might be beneficial", she replied. "Well, its offical then", Sydney said. "Cassy, since you're appointed general of army, you'll be in charge. I on the other hand, will act as if I'm a warrior, with my face concealed, I really need to see the dark side up close", Gwen said as she smiled. "Mf, absolutely,.....your highness!", Cassy bowed and Sydney departed after. "Liam? I know you're against this,...but rest assured, I surely have a spy in the dark side", Gwen said. "What?! A spy? Who?!", Liam questioned. "Well that would ruin the surprise wouldn't it? Hahaha, get switched on, we're heading out" "Yes your highness", he departed. The light army gathered outside. Gwen stood out, wearing her white warrior clothing, her ability was swordsman also, she had her silver sword on her back, her face covered together with her hair. She pulled down the disguise and everyone went silent. "My warriors, this is the new era of both the light and the dark kingdom,...since both of the kings are dead, we ought to take action as soon as possible, when they're still unprepared. It sounds rational? I know it might sound like that but, we will also have the great opportunity to study how our opponents fight, so that in the final battle and actually the upcoming one before that, we will be prepared. This,...is not a full attack,...this,..is just a small peek and disappear,....so,..with that all being said,...let's roll", Gwen said as the army started to prepare as the gates were opening. "Alright, warriors, keep your eyes sharp,...and stay frosty,..on me!!", Cassy said leading them out. Cassy's weapon was a huge axe and Sydney's was a spear. They traveled through the forest. It was 11am, the sky was clear. They arrived and posted a distance apart. The dark kingdom, its walls were pure black together with its palace and was surrounded by a dark aura like it was overcast there. The sight was heavy and intimidating. "Such aura", Cassy said. Gwen narrowed her brows while in the midst among the warriors. "Umm hello!! This is where you come in numbskull", Sydney said. "Yeah I know, you prick!!", a girl came up front, she was covering her face. She took her bow and arrows and aimed at the top at one of the guards. "Don't miss", Sydney said with a small smile as the girl scoffed. She shot and it stabbed the guards neck and he fell outside. "Mmm, not bad", Sydney said then the gates barged open with the dark warriors flooding out. "What?! They knew?They knew we were coming", Cassy said. "Either way, we're here, attack", Gwen said at the back. "Ooouu, you heard her! Let's freaking go!!", Cassy said and they appeared out of the forest charging on ahead. Cassy drew out her axe, while she walked with a smile on her face. She massively threw it as it hit her foe's face and he dropped dead. Another one came from behind with his sword and swang across and she ducked then she swang up for an uppercut and hit him with an elbow on the chest then she reached out to her axe which had stabbed her first kill's face and it flew back to her hand as she sliced her foe apart. "Yes baby", she said. The archer girl, aimed at Paller who was by the gate. She shot as Paller tilted her head and caught the arrow. She glared back at the girl with her cold blue eyes. "My Lord, I'm heading in", she said with Gin on her side who also had his disguise on. "Very well", he said and she removed her cloak, revealing her battle outfit. Gin widened his eyes a bit, she looked glorious in his eyes, white long hair being blown by the wind as she walked. she drew out her large blade. A light warrior charged against her as he halted halfway and started to dash around from side to side and began circling her with intense speed while Paller just stood there at the midst. "Hahaha, can't see me? Too bad,...I'm gonna kill you right here, you dark fiend!", he pounced and within a second Paller was stabbed by his huge blade. "Wh-NO!!", Gin yelled out. "Hahaha, it actually is painful that I have to kill a pretty woman like yourself,....or...I might take you back to our kingdom, have you treated and become my plaything until the day you take your last breath hahahaha!", he said while Paller was facing down bleeding. She coughed out blood. "Shit!!", Gin attempted to go as Kadma grabbed him. "Apologies my Lord, but you mustn't", he said. "What?! Why?", Gin asked and Kadma just shook his head. "Hahahaha, now,....you're mine!", he said and Paller clasped his neck and he froze with a little shock. "Huh? Ohhh??Still struggling until the end? I really might use someone like you in bed hehe", he laughed and Paller raised her head and faced him with her dead eyes. Then smiled afterwards,...and suddenly started to absorb him. "What-the what is,what?No what are you-haaaaa stop!!!!!Ahhhhhhhggghhh", Gin widened his eyes watching Paller absorb him and left alone there like she wasn't attacked at all, her wound had disappeared. "What?! Just, happened?", Gin asked. "Mimick", Kadma said. "Mimick?", Gin asked again as Paller pounced with great speed dashing like the one she absorbed. "Does that mean?-" "Yes my Lord, she can absorb anyone after she gets attacked by that someone up close and then she absorbs them together with their abilities", Kadma said. "What? That's impressive", Gin said. "Line up! Get ready!!", the dark warriors at the top stood there with their bows ready to fire. Archers. "Shit! Support unit!! Get to work!!", Cassy yelled and their support unit lined up as well at the front as they fell back a bit. The dark warriors fired their arrows as the light support unit made shields and blocked them. They removed the shields as the light girl ,the archer charged forward on her own with speed, charging ahead. "Shoot her!!", one of the dark warriors said at the top and all of them started to shoot their arrows. She dodged a couple of them, another one shot then she caught it and inserted it on her bow and shot it back and hit the dark archer. "Fire!!", the dark warrior at the top yelled and the archers fired in unison, a thousand arrows coming down on her. She glared at them while still running ahead, she glared up at the arrows, her eyes glew orange and counted them all at once with her eyes in a second with her pupils moving with unimaginable speed. Then she launched up like a bullet and grabbed all the arrows in the air in a flash then she landed. "What the, hell", Gin shockingly said. She opened her eyes as her aura began to charge, the thousand arrows starting to float around her. She drew out her bow and swang it as it became bigger, a length of three people. The arrows got attached on her enormous bow, then she pulled it and aimed at the top. The arrows started to glow in orange and the ground started to shake. "Get down my Lord!", Kadma warned and she shot massively and the arrows hit all the archers at the top and some of the brick stones fell as Gin and Kadma jumped away. "Mmf show off", Sydney said. "Are you really done showboating?", Cassy yelled from the back. The archer girl didn't respond, Paller was gone, she looked around cautiously, all she could see was the dust which was pervaded all over and the battle bewteen the warriors. She felt a shadow dashed by behind her and she quickly looked back. There was nothing. Another one dashed beside her and she stood back. Out of the blue she felt a massive kick at the side of her head and she fell and quickly stood up. It was Paller,...the archer girl put her bow at her back and stood a fighting stance. "Uh, wasn't she an archer?", Kadma asked himself. "That stance,...martial arts? Hell she's strong", a dark warrior said beside him. Paller pointed her with her blade standing a distance apart from her, the archer girl blinked and the next thing she knew Paller was in front of her and swang her blade and she quickly ducked and aimed for an uppercut against Paller then Paller tilted her head and grabbed her wrist and pulled her and hit her with a head butt and the archer girl almost fell due to the diziness. She drew out her dagger and launched against Paller. She was like a fox hungry for battle, the both of them exchanging blows. Weirdly the archer girl was keeping up even though she was using a only just a dagger against Paller's huge blade. "She's not blocking my attacks directly, she's deflecting my attacks by grazing my blade to a direction of her desire,...impressive", Paller said in her mind. "How about this then", Paller said and started dashing from side to side getting closer. The archer girl's eyes turned orange. Paller got close with intense speed and swang her blade and the archer girl quickly ducked and punched Paller massively in her stomach and fell a distance apart. She grunted while getting up, she stood her stance. "Who's that girl?She's going toe to toe with Paller?This is the first time I'm witnessing this", a random dark warrior said beside the other. Paller launched against her and the archer girl did too and they collided halfway then Paller swang down aiming to cut her in two and the girl bent slightly to the left and elbowed the side of Paller's blade as it flew a distance apart. "What? Such perfect timing, if she hadn't timed that accurately she would have gotten cut by my blade,...", Paller thought so and the archer girl slashed across Paller's stomach as she groaned. Paller grabbed her hand and faced her sharply. The archer girl pulled away but she couldn't evade. Paller smiled. Cassy gasped,"Uh that again!" The archer girl slashed Paller's arm and she let go and stood back. "Haha, what? You don't wanna get absorbed?", Paller said. The archer girl narrowed her brows glaring back at her. something came down forcefully as it landed beside the archer girl. The dust pervaded all over. "What the ,who's that?", one of the dark warriors questioned. The dust settled. It was Gwen, her aura was heavy and dominating. "Such power, who the hell is that?", Paller said to herself. It was now two against one. Gin saw and he took off and launched and landed beside Paller with force too and the rest of the light warriors chattered. Gin's aura was dark ,heavy and intimidating, with him staring back at Gwen with his cold eyes. Both of them had their disguises on, but Gin knew it was Gwen his big sister, due to her posture and body shape. "What is this heavy power? ....Are you the King of darkness?", Gwen questioned. Gin didn't reply, just glared back. "Hey!! Archer girl!! Thought you'd finish that white haired dark slut but I guess that's all you got", Sydney yelled as she mocked. The archer girl took off her disguise and looked back at Sydney. "Would you shut the hell up already!!", she yelled and Gin widened his eyes. He was entirely shocked. The archer girl faced back. It was Niva. "Niva", Gin spoke shockingly. "Huh?", Niva was confused. She later on froze with her eyes wide. "Is that you? Gi-" "Well!! We'll take our departion for now, this was surely interesting, the dark side sure is interesting ,...until next time", Gwen and the rest started heading back. Niva looked back at Gin while she was running,"Its,...not possible". She said as they completely evaded.
