An Apartment

A young man walked in tiredly and collapsed on the couch "Hah" He sighed before slowly getting up

He sighed as he ruffled his hair and walked towards the wall then he stopped. He looked at the picture of the wall and smiled.

The picture had him and a lady with long red curly hair, she had a big smile on her face as she looked at him..his hand cupped her face as he looked at her with love in his eyes. The background had a young man looking at them with a frown on his face

"I love you" he whispered to himself with a smile but the smile slowly fell as he remembered something

Flashback

"I really love this necklace, I've wanted to buy this for a long time but it costs a lot" The lady with curly red hair said as she looked at the picture of a necklace on her phone

"How much does it cost?" He asked

"Don't worry about it, Ricky" she waved it off

Frederick sighed as he sat close to her "Millie, I want to be able to do something for you" Camilla smiled

"I understand,but I really don't need it that much, and it's...ten million" She replied then muttered the last part slowly

"What? Ten million? Th.. that's a lot"

"But I promise to get it for you" Camilla chuckled "Don't worry about it... don't be stubborn"

Flashback Ends

Frederick sighed 'I feel pathetic, there's nothing I can do for you' he whispered to the picture as if it was alive

"Of course, you are pathetic" A voice taunted from behind him

He frowned then turned slowly - His eyes widened as he saw a ladylike figure floating above him "Gh.. ghost" he stammered

"Who are you calling a ghost?" The figure frowned angrily

"Then, what are you?"

"A system, fool"

"System? What kind of system can you be? And why are you here?" Frederick asked confused

" A wealth system and I'm here to remove you from your pathetic life " The figure explained

" So, system *chuckles sarcastically* what will you help me with?"

"Before claiming to be a wealth system, look at yourself... System that give wealth either appear in phones or as an hologram, 'system' " Frederick mocked as he stressed the system part

"Is this how you talk to someone who's about to elevate your pathetic life" The system asked in disbelief

"You chose a pathetic person to help... How stupid" "well...system, don't you have a name?" Frederick asked

" Of course, you can call me Minny"

" So.. can I ask a question, not like I won't ask if you say no though "

" Go ahead " Minny replied

" Why did you choose me?" He asked

" You look poor" She answered flatly

" You bloody-"

" You shouldn't use cuss words. It's rude"

" So... "

" I accept you, but only because you look like you wouldn't be accepted by anyone " Frederick replied flatly

" You-" Frederick immediately reminded

" You can't use cuss words " He smirked and Minny sighed

His phone rang on the table and he picked it up and answered the call " Hey, Millie " " Babe!!! " Camilla screamed from across the phone

"Aishh... What happened?" Frederick asked calmly

" You remember that necklace I said I love, right? "Wishes? "

" Yes😭😭😭😭" Frederick sighed " what happened? " He asked calmly

" It's been sold" she murmured

" When was it sold and to who? "

" Well, it hasn't been sold yet... But information got to my dad that it will be in next week's auction and it's a private one with elites" " so it hasn't been sold yet then" Frederick said as a matter of fact

" Those rich kids will definitely buy it" " Babe, I need emotional support 😭😭😭, hug me when you see me tomorrow and shower me with kisses... Also don't spend time with anyone else "

Frederick smiled " You mean Michael, right?"

"Of course, he keeps fighting me for my boyfriend's attention" She complained.

"Okay, only you have me tomorrow... Good night"

"Good nightttt, I love you" she said before hanging up

"I love you too" he murmured

"How sweet" Minny commented

"Just shut up"

"So how does this system thing work?" Frederick asked as he walked into the college

"Well it's a 100x rebate stuff" Minny who was floating by his side answered

Frederick frowned slightly "Like 100 times the amount I spent?! " Minny smirked "what? Are you so impressed that you feel like fainting? "

"No" "I'm just wondering how pathetic you are" He replied flatly. "Pathetic? what do you mean by that?" Minny asked angrily

"Others give a 1000x rebate" He mocked "You- I know you want be to use cuss words but I won't" Minny smirked proudly like someone who just won a bet

"Suit yourself"

"Babeeeeeee" Frederick looked up to see Camilla running towards him with open arms and he smiled and widened his arms too but just as Camilla was about to get to him, another person hugged him "Brooooooo, I missed youuuuuuuuuuuuu" Michael said as he hugged him tightly

"Same here... How have you been?" He asked with a smile

Before Michael could answer, Camilla pulled them apart and turned to Frederick "Ricky, you told me that you won't give him your attention today" She frowned with a pout on her face

"Of course, I forgot" "Wait, you made such a promise?" Michael asked as he looked at Frederick with sadness from the "betrayal"

"Right.. I made a design that looks just like Wishes" "My Millie is the most amazing" Frederick praised as he pats her hair

"Do you really think so?" "Of course "

"Better than Michael?"

"Hey! Why bring me into this conversation.... Frederick, tell her I am more amazing"

Frederick looked at the both of them as they argued about the most amazing and sighed "Millie, the design" "Right... I almost forgot"

" That's because you have no brain"

Camilla sighs as she ignores him and brings out her sketchbook" Here it is" she said as she showed him the picture

"Whoa so pretty" Frederick praised

" And this is the picture of Wishes" She added as she showed him another picture

"You are so good at this" Frederick murmured

" All thanks to my supportive boyfriend who is mine no matter what a certain someone says" Camilla said sarcastically as she eyed Michael

Michael rolls his eyes as he replied back daringly "I will not argue with a person who came in and snatched "MY" best friend" Camilla gasped at his words

" Guys, let's go inside "

"Whatever you say" Michael replied "Hey! I was gonna say that first"

"Clank, clank, clank" A sound came from the front making everyone turn towards the noise

"What's Helena up to now?" Camilla frowned

Helena Mickelson is a student from the same major as Camilla, Camilla's biggest rival in terms of academics and beauty. They both struggle for best jewelry design student of the year every year and their names always appear on the vote for campus beauty every year too but if one wins this year then the other wins next year and this year is for Helena

"Guys, tomorrow is my birthday and I'm hosting a dinner at Grand Hilton and guess what.... You are all invited!!!"

Cheers and claps immediately surrounded the environment

"You-" Camilla got up angrily

Camilla walked into the suite in a simple red gown not wanting to draw much attention to herself, she quietly walked to the side

"Hey, Cam... Where's your boyfriend?" Helena asked loudly drawing all attention to them

Camilla gritted her teeth then turned with a fake smile "He's on his way, he went with Michael to pick a gift

" I will hold on to your excuse for a while"

" Woah, so many jewelries....so what are we picking?" Michael asked as they looked around

Frederick pointed at a jewelry box "Give me that box" " Okay, sir" The salesperson bows and immediately brought it to him

Michael pointed at a box "I want that box too" " For my future girlfriend "

" Okay,wrap that up too and give me that watch" Frederick said as he pointed to a wrist watch

The salesperson immediately brought those over " What's the total?" Frederick asked impatiently

"With all the charges,it should be...5.01 million but let's keep it at a round figure, 5 million, Sir" She replied professionally

" So, what's the original amount?" Michael asked

"5.01 million" She replied with a professional smile

"Why does she keep on calling millions?" Michael whispers quietly to Frederick

"What do you mean? The price tag for the jewelries clearly had 2.5 and 2.2 million respectively"

" I thought this is a shop selling knock offs and that's the price for the original"

"No, this is an original shop"

"Dude, you brought us to an original shop?" Michael asked looking at him with disbelief

" Yeah, what were you expecting?"

" Your friend is funny " Minny said laughing

'Shut up, Minny'

"My card" Frederick said as he handed the card to the salesperson

" Did you win a lottery and you are wasting it on jewelries?" Frederick sighed tiredly

Michael took a glass of wine from waiter immediately they enter the suite. Frederick and Michael looked around for her " There she is" Minny said pointing at a direction

" She's over there" Frederick said pointing at a direction

" So ungrateful" Minny frowned

Frederick ignored her as they walked up to Camilla " You guys came at the right time, gifts are amount to be given "

"I want my first gift from them" Helena stated

"Sure" Frederick smiled and hands it over to her

Helena opened it and her eyes slowly widened as she saw the diamond necklace "Is this real?" She asked in shock

"You are not a jewelry design student for show" Michael shot back

Helena immediately checked "It.. it's real" she muttered in shock

" Don't stress your little brain,You wouldn't get it" Michael snapped rudely before going to sit with Camilla and Frederick

"Where did you guys get that from?" Camilla asked in shock

" Frederick slept with the salesperson" Michael replied sarcastically

Helena kept on accepting gifts hoping to see one more expensive but just as she was about to lose hope the host suddenly walked in with a jewelry box " Sorry I'm late" He said as he hands her the box

"I understand you are busy, Brian" Helena replied with a smile as she opened the box and gasps
