I'm June Sawyer, I've been away from home for 2 days, honestly I'm exhausted, I had a fight with my mom, Ammy Sawyer, and I decided to leave the house, and had been sleeping on this bench on the park, for two days.

"Damn it, all the money is gone, and I'm hungry again, and only 2 cents left, what can I eat with this?" muttered June Sawyer, sitting on a public bench trying to count all the money that she had left

"I think I should just sleep to hold back this hunger." muttered June lying down on the bench with her head on her bag, and she covered her eyes with her right hand, which were sunlit by the hot midday sun

It's been two days, but there hasn't been a phone call or a message, no one cares about my whereabouts at all, not even my mother, and brothers. My father, Ronald Sawyer, he left us when I was 5 years old, to marry another rich woman, and had a new family somewhere in here.

"Ken, you better listen to them, or they will get suspicious" said an anonymous man on the phone

"Yes, I know, I'm trying, let me know if you get any information." replied the man, Kenneth Liston

Kenneth passed the bench where June was lying, then held the 100 dollars and put it in June's right hand, which was closing her eyes from the sun.

June, who was holding back her hunger, suddenly found a piece of money in her hand. She immediately got up from the bench and took her bag with her, and chased Kenneth who was passing her.

"Hey, excuse me, wait..." shouted June chasing after Kenneth who is walking towards the crowded center park

"Hey, excuse me!" shouted June pulled Kenneth shirt, and he did turn back to look at her confused

"What's wrong?" ask Kenneth staring confused at June who is carrying her bag, looking very exhausted

"Listen I'm not a street beggar, so take your money back, I don't want it" said June handing the 100 dollar to Kenneth, annoyed

"Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you're one of them" said Kenneth took back his money

Actually, deep down June needs the money, but she doesn't want to be a street beggar who asks people for money, because this is not the life she wanted.

"It's fine" said June taking her bag and ready to walk forward leaving the park

But all of a sudden Kenneth thought of something, and stopped June to walk away.

"Hey, I'm actually about to going for lunch right now, so how about you joined me, as an apology for these things?" ask Kenneth to June

Because June had been holding back her hunger this morning, she finally agreed to go to lunch with Kenneth at a fancy restaurant.

"Welcome, Mr. Liston." said a waitress smiled, opening the restaurant door for them

"Do they know you?" ask June confused, startled at the fancy restaurant, and it's actually her first time here, growing up she never goes to a fancy restaurant before.

"Actually, I'm a regular here" reply Kenneth to June walk inside

They were both then seated at a dining table and given a menu with food that was quite expensive, according to June this could buy her two to three times cheaper ready-to-eat meals.

"Choose the menu you want to eat, it's all on me" said Kenneth to her handing her the menu book

June was a bit suspicious because they had only known each other for about 10 minutes, and he was already being this nice to her.

"Alright, I'll take this one." said June chose the cheapest one, because she was amazed by the price

"I'm taking the regular" said Kenneth to the waitress handing her the menu book

"Alright, please wait for it" said the waitress walking away

"It was very nice of you actually to treat me on this lunch today, thanks" said June awkwardly smiled to him

"It's alright" reply Kenneth

"Hey, by the way, we haven't now each other name yet, I'm June Sawyer." said June to Kenneth introducing herself

"I'm Kenneth Liston, you can call me Ken" said Kenneth introduced himself to her smiled

"Ken, what's your job?" ask June curiously to him

"I'm an athlete actually" reply Kenneth to her

"How about you, Miss Sawyer?" ask Kenneth to her curious too

"I'm a writer currently" reply June to him a little awkward

"A writer, what a coincidence, I had a friend who is also a writer too, what kind of book do you write?" ask Kenneth to her

"I'm actually still struggling to figuring out some ideas about it, so I'm still exploring about that" replied June to him

"Your look like a writer that's going to have a good potential in the future, I wish you a success" said Kenneth to her

"Thanks, you too, as an athlete it must be hard" said June smiled at him

After talking for a while, their food arrived, and they finished eating, Kenneth went to the restroom for a moment to make a phone call, while June walked around exploring the fancy restaurant for the first time.

"I think I found the right person" said Kenneth on the phone inside the restroom

"Are you sure, what's her name?" ask the anonymous man on the phone

"June Sawyer, could you please do a background check for me?" ask Kenneth on the phone to the anonymous man

"Sure, don't forget your training schedule this afternoon, I'll be there later, see you later" said the anonymous man hung up the phone

After leaving the toilet, Kenneth was shocked because June was not in her seat. He panicked because he thought June had left the restaurant, but it turned out she was staring at the big aquarium alone.

"Hey, you're here?" said Kenneth approaching her

"Yeah, this aquarium really amazed me, it's actually my first time seeing something like this, so it's actually kind of new experience for me" said June smiled happily at him

"Yes, maybe this could be a good idea for your book later." reply Kenneth staring at her happy smile

"So thank you for today's lunch Ken, it meant a lot to me, and it was very nice to meet you" said June smiled carrying her shoulder bag, and ready to leave

"Wait where do you live, I can take you home?" ask Kenneth trying to stop June

"Actually I'm not going home, I'm about to walk around here, looking for ideas" said June smiled at him, trying to hide the fact is she ran away from home

"Are you sure, you're seems like you don't know where to go?" said Kenneth staring at her

"No I do actually, thanks for the offering" said June smiled and leaving him standing there alone

While walking in a crowd, June started to sit down and check her cellphone, the battery was almost dead, so she went to a place to plug in her charger cable there.

"Well, after my stomach is full, it's my phone's turn to be hungry..., where can I charge my phone for free?" muttered June while looking at the crowded place

She walked to a free charging place in the public park, but there's a man who is trying to get there too, seeing that she rushed herself there to charge her already dying phone.

"Shit, he shouldn't get there first" muttered June running in the middle of the crowded park, and yet she's still late, the man got it first

"Are you alright?" ask the man to her, staring at her that looked very exhausted

"Yeah, I am actually, how long does your phone take to charge until full?" ask June head tilt at the phone

"I'm taking this for 10 minutes, I have an upcoming practice" reply the man to her

"Alright I'm waiting, I need to charge too, my phone is literally dying" said June standing next to the man smiled awkwardly

"Would you like to have a seat, I'm Joshua Marshall, call me Josh" said the man introducing himself, Joshua Marshall

"I'm June Sawyer, sure I do love too" said June introduce herself too, and take a seat at the public bench

"June Sawyer, you have a pretty name" praised Joshua to June smiling

"Thanks, you're the first person to say this, and I appreciate it" reply June awkwardly to him

June was sitting on the bench, confused as to why people kept staring at her and Joshua, who were talking in the middle of the crowd in the park.

"Is it me, or you also noticed that people have been staring at us all this time." said June looking at the crowds

"Yeah they always stare at me like this, I'm used to it" reply Joshua to her gave the crowd a wave

"Are you a star?" ask June confused

"Not technically, I'm a tennis athlete, I'm having a practice in 10 minutes, and I'm charging my phone right now" reply Joshua casually to June while smiling at people in the crowd

"What happened to me today, having lunch with an athlete, and now suddenly sitting with another athlete" muttered June awkwardly smiling staring at the crowd too

"I didn't know you're famous, how long have you been a tennis athlete?" ask June curious about it

"I started training when I was 10 years old, and entered a football athlete academy at the age of 15, and now I'm 23." said Joshua to June

"You're definitely skilled" praised June shocked a little after hearing the information

"And what's your job Miss Sawyer?" ask Joshua to her

"Right now I'm doing nothing actually, but I'm planning to become a writer" reply June to the same question that Kenneth did ask her about earlier too

"It's actually amazing to meet a future star here too, I'm glad to be this earlier" said Joshua smiled at her

"You are a great charming praiser, it is natural that many of your fans are captivated" said June stared at him

"Are you interested in tennis?" ask Joshua to her curious

"I didn't, but I think I will actually get into it, because of you" reply June to him

"So you're charmed too, I'm glad, looks like I have to go soon, you can come tomorrow for my match, I'll give you a free pass, you can see the location on social media, it was nice to meet you" said Joshua walked away while carrying his phone

June was stunned, today she was lucky enough to be offered a free lunch, and now a free ticket to a tennis match, even though that place is known as a sport for the rich.

"It was actually weird to have all the best things happen in a day, there must be something wrong" muttered June plugged in her phone to charge

"Yes I did, but it's not that important compared to your match tomorrow" said the man in suit to him

"Can you tell me about her while I'm doing my practice?" ask Kenneth staring at the man in suit

"Yeah sure, so I actually search on her social life too, others than background" said the man in suit sitting in the audience seats, while Kenneth starting to hit the tennis ball, by the auto machine

"Tell me everything that you know about her" said Kenneth hitting the tennis ball

"She lives with her mother Ammy Sawyer, and her brother Jaden Sawyer, her father Ronald Sawyer has long since divorced her mother, and she comes from a lower class family because her Ammy was a single mother."

"She's just turned 22, and unemployed, she had a job before, but she quit for a reason wanted to develop a business" read the man in suit to Kenneth

"And her social life, she had no friends, she was all alone by herself, having no one, but she got an ex though" said the man in the suit

"Who's the guy, are they still in contact?" asked Kenneth, take a break for a moment and staring at the man in the suit

"Andrew Baker, no he has a new girlfriend after breaking up with Barbara Rink, a socialite and model" said the man in the suit

"Alright that's it" said the man in the suit, kept the paper inside the training bag and leaving Kenneth in the courtyard practicing alone

The next day, June woke up on the bench once again, this time she went to the public restroom to change her clothes and then headed to the tennis match, where Joshua was going to play.

She used public transportation, the only card she could use was to ride the bus, she didn't eat anything and took her shoulder bag with her.

When she got there, she was surprised to see that there were lots of rich and elite people, dressed up in branded and luxurious accessories, taking pictures, and gathering around with the food they served, she really need to get in for her breakfast, and lunch.

"Ticket please" said the ticket collector to her

"I'm invited here actually by Joshua Marshall, the athlete himself" said June explaining to the ticket collector

"Don't you tell me you're the other fan that's trying to sneak in and watch some free match, it's not going to happen" said the ticket collector annoyed at her

Some people there stared at her and started whispering, "It's so embarrassing, if you can't afford a ticket, you shouldn't even try to sneak in, it's just embarrassing." muttered a stranger in a crowd, "What was she thinking, people nowadays are so weird" muttered another strangers in the crowd.

Hearing those words, June felt hurt because she had been humiliated in front of the crowd, she immediately walks away from there, she was embarrassed and planned to wait for the bus at the station.

At the same time, the ticket collector suddenly shouted June's name loudly in public. "Wait Miss Sawyer, I'm sorry, you're free to pass, I'm sorry for misunderstood you earlier" said the ticket collector apologize to her and let her pass

June was shocked, but she finally went in, everyone there was quite embarrassed because they had misunderstood her. Entering the large Courtyard stadium, June was confused about where to sit, so in the end she chose one of the seats above.

A few minutes of waiting later, the game started there. June started to see where Joshua Marshall would appear, but instead she was distracted by Kenneth Liston, who was also a tennis athlete.

Joshua started serving the ball to Kenneth and Kenneth hit it back, and there were a few rallies, and then Kenneth missed and Joshua won, 15-0.

Joshua served again and Kenneth missed again, so it was 30-0, and so on in the game Joshua won by a landslide and Kenneth failed. Everyone looks annoyed with Kenneth, who knows what's wrong with him.

June, who watched the match up from the audience seats, feel anxious, because it feels very tense.

Kenneth started to feel anxious, and he himself was breaking out in a cold sweat, because he was nervous, Joshua then continued to serve and once again Kenneth missed, and Joshua win 40-15. And the first set score was 1-0, Kenneth lost, the break started, Kenneth was reprimanded by his trainer.

"What's wrong with you, are you out of your mind?" ask the trainer mad at Kenneth who's looking very tired

"You are the next to serve, don't fail this time" said the trainer gave him the bottle water

Kenneth was very exhausted from the match, he was anxious, this was his first match after a long time on being hiatus, while on the other hand, Joshua was praised by his trainer, June watched all that from afar, and became quite worried about Kenneth, because he looked sick, and happy for Joshua because he did had skills.

The next set starts this time Kenneth is the one who serves, Kenneth hit the ball hard and Joshua managed to receive it, when Joshua hit it back Kenneth missed, so the score was 0-15.

Kenneth felt threatened, finally he tried to lock in, this time he looked at Joshua who smiled slightly ambiguously at him, Kenneth then served the ball, and Joshua missed, and now the score is 15-15.

The game continued and Kenneth won the second set, with a score of 40-30. The break didn't last any longer, they continued again, and the next set Joshua won, and the score became 2-1, then Kenneth won again to 2-2, the score continued.

However, in the end Kenneth lost to Joshua with a final score of 7-6.
