THE LAST ENCOUNTER

THE STRONGEST ASSASSIN

CHAPTER 1

Rain fell heavily across the city.

Deep inside the underground world, one name alone was enough to make even professional killers tremble in fear.

Mr Sung.

The Ghost of Death.

The strongest assassin alive.

No mission ever failed under his hands.

No enemy escaped him.

Inside a dark building, several assassins stood nervously around a large table while Boss Yuno smoked quietly.

One assassin spoke carefully.

“Boss… our men failed again.”

Boss Yuno remained silent.

Another assassin swallowed nervously.

“It was Mr Sung.”

The room instantly became tense.

Even hearing that name created fear.

Boss Yuno slowly crushed his cigarette.

“That monster again…”

Meanwhile—

Far away from the darkness of the assassin world, Mr Sung sat peacefully inside his home.

For once, he was not holding a weapon.

He was holding his daughter.

Little Mai laughed happily in his arms.

“Daddy! Again!”

Mr Sung smiled softly and lifted her into the air.

Mrs Sung laughed from the kitchen.

“You spoil her too much.”

Ten-year-old Jinwoo sat on the floor eating snacks while watching television.

“This house is too noisy,” he complained jokingly.

Mai stuck out her tongue.

“You’re just jealous!”

The entire family laughed together.

For a moment…

Mr Sung forgot he was an assassin.

Here, he was only a father.

Mrs Sung walked over and sat beside him.

“You should leave that dangerous world one day.”

Mr Sung looked at his family quietly.

“I want to.”

Jinwoo looked surprised.

“Really?”

Mr Sung nodded slowly.

“I’m tired of blood.”

But deep inside…

He already knew the assassin world never allowed people to leave peacefully.

And somewhere in the darkness—

Enemies were already coming for him.

CHAPTER 2

THE GIRL NAMED SHIZUKA

Night covered the city quietly.

Inside Yuno Organization headquarters, several assassins knelt before Boss Yuno.

One man stepped forward.

“We finally located Mr Sung’s family.”

Boss Yuno’s eyes darkened.

“So the ghost finally became weak.”

He stood up slowly.

“If we kill his family… we kill the monster.”

Then from the shadows, a young girl stepped forward calmly.

Beautiful.

Cold.

Dangerous.

Her name was Shizuka.

Only seventeen years old.

Yet already feared by experienced assassins.

Boss Yuno looked at her.

“Shizuka.”

“Yes, boss.”

“You will lead tonight’s mission.”

Without emotion, she nodded.

“As you wish.”

Boss Yuno smiled darkly.

“Leave nobody alive.”

Later that night—

The Sung family continued laughing together inside their house.

Mai climbed onto Jinwoo’s back while Mrs Sung prepared food.

Mr Sung relaxed on the couch peacefully.

Then suddenly—

Shizuka appeared outside the window silently watching them.

For a brief moment…

She froze.

The family looked happy.

Warm.

Normal.

Something she never had.

But the feeling disappeared quickly.

An assassin beside her whispered,

“Should we attack now?”

Shizuka’s eyes became cold again.

“Yes.”

Inside the house, Mr Sung suddenly felt something strange.

Danger.

His assassin instincts activated immediately.

He slowly stood up.

Jinwoo looked confused.

“Dad?”

Mr Sung’s eyes narrowed toward the door.

Then—

BOOM!!!

The front door exploded open.

Masked assassins stormed into the house.

Mai screamed.

Mrs Sung froze in fear.

Jinwoo stepped back in shock.

And standing in front of the intruders…

Was Shizuka.

Holding a blade.

Her cold eyes staring directly at Mr Sung.

“The Ghost of Death,” she said quietly.

“We finally found you.”

THE MONSTER CALLED MR SUNG

CHAPTER 3

The entire house fell silent.

Only the sound of rain outside could be heard.

Jinwoo stared fearfully at the masked intruders standing inside their home.

Mai quickly hid behind Mrs Sung.

Mr Sung slowly stepped forward.

His face remained calm.

But his eyes…

Were terrifying.

“You entered my house,” he said coldly.

One assassin laughed nervously.

“You’re surrounded, old man.”

Mr Sung ignored him completely.

His eyes focused only on Shizuka.

“You’re young,” he said quietly.

“You should’ve stayed away from this world.”

Shizuka tightened her grip on her blade.

“I’m not here for advice.”

Then suddenly—

WHOOSH!

Mr Sung disappeared.

The assassins’ eyes widened.

“Wha—?!”

SLASH!!!

Blood splashed across the wall.

One assassin collapsed instantly.

CRACK!

Another’s neck twisted unnaturally.

Screams filled the room.

Jinwoo’s eyes widened in shock.

His father moved like a ghost.

No—

Like a monster.

The assassins panicked immediately.

“He’s too fast!”

“Shoot him!”

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Gunshots exploded through the house.

But Mr Sung dodged effortlessly.

He moved through bullets like flowing water.

SLASH!

Another assassin fell.

Within seconds, bodies covered the floor.

Even Shizuka looked shocked.

“So the rumors were true…” she whispered.

Mr Sung slowly turned toward her.

“You still have time to leave.”

But Shizuka’s expression became serious.

Then suddenly—

She rushed toward Mrs Sung.

Mai screamed.

“MOM!!”

Before anyone could react, Shizuka grabbed Mai and held a knife to her throat.

Everything stopped instantly.

Mr Sung froze.

For the first time—

Fear appeared in his eyes.

“Dad…” Mai cried softly.

Mrs Sung trembled helplessly.

“Please… don’t hurt her…”

Shizuka’s voice became cold.

“Drop your weapon.”

The room became silent.

Mr Sung stared at his daughter.

His hands slowly tightened.

Then finally—

CLANG.

His knife dropped to the floor.

The assassins around him smiled darkly.

One of them punched Mr Sung hard across the face.

Another kicked him to the ground.

Jinwoo tried to run forward.

“DAD!”

An assassin grabbed him immediately and threw him backward.

Mrs Sung cried desperately.

“Stop! Please stop!”

Shizuka looked at the family silently.

For some reason…

Something inside her felt uncomfortable.

But Boss Yuno’s orders echoed in her mind.

“Leave nobody alive.”

One assassin pointed his gun at Mr Sung’s head.

“Any last words?”

Mr Sung slowly looked toward Jinwoo.

Their eyes met.

For a brief moment, everything became quiet.

Then Mr Sung spoke softly.

“Run.”

Jinwoo froze.

“What…?”

“RUN!!”

Suddenly—

BOOOOM!!!

An explosion erupted outside the house.

The wall shattered violently.

Smoke filled the room instantly.

The assassins stumbled in confusion.

Mr Sung used the moment immediately.

CRACK!

He broke one assassin’s arm.

SLASH!

Another fell bleeding.

Chaos exploded everywhere.

“Kill him!”

“Don’t let the boy escape!”

Jinwoo stood frozen in fear as flames slowly began spreading through the house.

Then—

Another explosion.

BOOOOOOM!!!

The ceiling collapsed.

Mrs Sung screamed.

Mai cried loudly.

The entire house became surrounded by fire.

And standing inside the flames…

Shizuka watched silently.

THE BURNING HOUSE

CHAPTER 4

The fire spread rapidly across the Sung household.

Smoke filled the air.

Wood cracked loudly as flames consumed the walls.

Jinwoo coughed desperately while searching for his family through the chaos.

“Mom!!”

“Dad!!”

“Mai!!”

Suddenly—

A strong hand grabbed him.

It was Mr Sung.

Blood covered his face.

His breathing had become heavy.

But his eyes still burned with determination.

“Listen to me carefully,” he said.

Jinwoo trembled.

“Dad…”

Mr Sung pushed a small silver necklace into Jinwoo’s hand.

“Take this and run.”

Jinwoo shook his head desperately.

“No! I’m not leaving you!”

Another explosion shook the house violently.

BOOOOM!!!

Part of the ceiling collapsed behind them.

Mr Sung looked toward the flames where Mrs Sung and Mai were trapped between burning wood and assassins.

Pain filled his eyes.

For the first time in his life—

The strongest assassin alive looked helpless.

Mrs Sung screamed from the other side of the fire.

“Take Jinwoo and go!”

Mai cried loudly.

“Daddy!!”

Mr Sung tried to move toward them—

But suddenly—

BANG!

A bullet pierced his shoulder.

He dropped to one knee instantly.

Several assassins emerged from the smoke pointing guns at him.

One of them laughed.

“The ghost is finally dying.”

Jinwoo’s eyes widened in horror.

“DAD!!”

Mr Sung slowly stood again despite the blood pouring from his body.

Even wounded…

He still looked terrifying.

The assassins hesitated fearfully.

Then Shizuka stepped forward from the flames.

Her face remained cold.

But deep inside…

Something felt wrong.

She stared at Jinwoo.

A frightened child crying beside his dying father.

For a brief moment—

She remembered herself as a child.

Alone.

Afraid.

Forgotten.

But the feeling disappeared quickly.

This world had no place for weakness.

Mr Sung suddenly grabbed Jinwoo by the shoulders.

His voice became firm.

“Jinwoo… survive.”

Tears streamed down Jinwoo’s face.

“I don’t want to leave you!”

Mr Sung smiled weakly.

“You are my son.”

Then suddenly—

He pushed Jinwoo toward a broken window.

“RUN!!”

Jinwoo crashed outside into the rain.

“DAD!!!”

He tried to stand—

But another explosion erupted.

BOOOOOOM!!!

The entire house became swallowed by flames.

Jinwoo fell to his knees in the rain screaming helplessly.

“No… no… NOOOO!!”

The fire reflected in his tear-filled eyes.

Everything was gone.

His home.

His mother.

His sister.

His father.

Then through the flames—

He saw someone walking out slowly.

A girl.

Shizuka.

Her face glowed under the burning light.

For a brief second, her eyes met Jinwoo’s.

And somehow—

He would never forget those eyes.

Shizuka stopped walking.

She looked at the crying boy silently.

Then one assassin shouted behind her.

“Leave him! The house is collapsing!”

Shizuka turned away without saying a word.

The assassins disappeared into the darkness.

Leaving Jinwoo alone in the rain.

Broken.

Destroyed.

And deep inside his heart—

Something began to grow.

Hatred.

CHAPTER 5

THE BOY WHO SURVIVED

Rain continued falling through the night.

Jinwoo sat alone on the cold ground staring at the burning remains of his home.

Firefighters and police arrived too late.

The house had already collapsed completely.

People whispered around him.

“Poor child…”

“Did anyone survive?”

“What happened here?”

But Jinwoo heard nothing.

His mind replayed the same images again and again.

His father bleeding.

His mother screaming.

Mai crying.

And the girl walking through the flames.

Those eyes.

He would never forget them.

A police officer approached slowly.

“Kid… do you have any relatives?”

Jinwoo remained silent.

The officer sighed sadly.

Then suddenly—

A black car stopped nearby.

Several men wearing dark suits stepped out.

One of them walked toward Jinwoo calmly.

Tall.

Serious.

Cold eyes.

His name was Yuri.

He crouched in front of Jinwoo quietly.

“So you’re Mr Sung’s son.”

Jinwoo slowly looked up.

The moment Yuri saw his eyes—

He understood immediately.

The boy was broken.

But beneath the pain…

Something dangerous had been born.

Yuri lit a cigarette slowly.

“Your father saved my life once.”

Jinwoo’s fists tightened.

“Can you kill them?”

Yuri looked surprised.

“The people who did this…” Jinwoo whispered.

“Can you kill them?”

Yuri remained silent for a moment.

Then finally—

“No.”

Jinwoo’s eyes lowered.

“But…”

Yuri leaned closer.

“I can help you become strong enough to kill them yourself.”

The rain poured harder.

Jinwoo stared silently at the burning ruins of his home.

Then slowly—

He stood up.

That night…

The boy named Jinwoo Sung disappeared.

And a future assassin was born.

Three Months Later.

Deep underground beneath the city existed a hidden world ordinary people never saw.

Ace Organization.

One of the deadliest assassin groups in the country.

Inside a massive training hall, young fighters trained brutally against each other.

Some punched until their fists bled.

Some practiced with knives.

Others fired guns at moving targets.

And standing quietly in the center—

Was Jinwoo.

His face had completely changed.

The cheerful boy was gone.

Only silence remained.

Yuri walked beside him.

“From today onward,” he said coldly, “your old life is over.”

Jinwoo said nothing.

“You will train.”

“You will fight.”

“You will suffer.”

“And one day…”

Yuri looked directly into his eyes.

“You will become stronger than your father.”

For the first time since the tragedy—

Jinwoo spoke without fear.

“I don’t care about being stronger.”

Yuri raised an eyebrow.

Jinwoo’s eyes darkened.

“I only want revenge.”

Yuri stared at him silently.

Then slowly—

He smiled.

Because those were the exact words the assassin world loved hearing most.
