Ghost School Classroom 4 S2

Season 2: Chapter 1

### Season 2: Chapter 1 - The Echo of the Lost

"The game isn't over yet," the three figures whispered in perfect unison.

Se-yeon stumbled backward, her sneakers slipping on the dusty pavement outside the school gates. The blinding morning sun was rising over Seoul, but looking at Hana, Min-ah, and Ji-woo, a wave of sub-zero ice rushed through her veins, freezing her tongue. Their milky-white eyes didn't blink. Their identical, wide grins didn't fade. It looked as if their faces were made of cold plastic, stretched unnaturally over bone.

Suddenly, a loud truck horn blared from the main road nearby, breaking the eerie silence.

Se-yeon blinked hard, gasping for air. In that split second, the horror vanished completely. Hana was laughing softly, pointing at a funny poster on the street. Min-ah was stretching her tired arms, yawning. Ji-woo was gently massaging her bruised and swollen wrist from earlier. Their eyes were completely normal, warm, and human.

"Hey, Se-yeon, are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost," Hana said, her voice perfectly sweet, tilting her head with a familiar smile.

"I... I forgot my phone," Se-yeon managed to choke out, her throat dry. She hid her shaking hands deep inside her uniform pockets, clenching her fists until her nails dug into her skin. "I left it upstairs. In Classroom 4-B."

Ji-woo frowned, her eyebrows knitting together as she checked her own phone screen. "That’s weird. If your phone is left upstairs, then who just sent this to our old school group chat?"

Ji-woo turned her glowing screen around to show Se-yeon. A new notification from an unknown, blocked number had just popped up in their private four-member chat room. It was a video file, barely five seconds long, with no caption.

With trembling fingers, Se-yeon tapped the play button.

The video was dark and shaky, clearly shot from a low angle inside the dusty biology lab they had just escaped from. The camera slowly panned down across the cold concrete floor. There, tied tightly against the rusty, heavy iron pipes in the corner, were three girls. They were unconscious, head slumped forward, and their wrists were covered in fresh, dark blood.

The camera zoomed in closely on their pale faces. It was Hana, Min-ah, and Ji-woo.

"No... no, this can't be real. That's impossible," Se-yeon gasped, her lungs completely running out of oxygen.

She slowly raised her head to look back at the three girls standing right in front of her under the morning light. They were still smiling warmly at her. But then, Se-yeon noticed something that made her stomach drop. The bright morning sun was casting shadows of the trees, the gate, and even herself onto the ground—but the three girls standing next to her did not cast a single shadow.

The entities standing with her outside the gate weren't her real friends. They were the Mok-so-ri’s twisted, perfect clones. The real, breathing girls were still trapped deep underground, bleeding out in the dark.

*BZZZ.*

Ji-woo’s phone vibrated violently in Se-yeon's hand, nearly slipping from her slick palm. A new text message appeared right below the horrifying video:

'Rule #5: The sun only protects the outside world. The inside belongs to the past. To save the real ones, the hunter must return to the cage before the morning bell rings at 08:00 AM. Leave the iron gate now, and they die.'

Se-yeon darted her eyes to the top corner of the phone screen. The digital clock read 07:15 AM. She had exactly 45 minutes before the morning bell would lock the school doors automatically for the weekend.

Without screaming, without looking back at the three smiling fakes who were now slowly stepping closer to her, Se-yeon turned around on her heels. She sprinted back through the open iron gates, running with all her strength toward the dark, silent, and waiting corridors of the haunted school.

Behind her back, the three identical fakes stopped moving. Their warm smiles instantly turned back into wide, distorted grins as their voices burst into a chilling, multi-layered laughter that echoed across the empty courtyard.

"Welcome back, Se-yeon. The second phase has begun."
