Have an amazing day!!
Purple you💜💜💜!!!
Goodbye!!!!
The flashing cameras followed Jungkook like starving wolves.
"Jungkook! Over here!"
"Are the dating rumors true?!"
"Did you really reject that drama offer?"
"Jungkook, look this way!"
His head pounded.
The premiere had already drained every ounce of patience from him, and now reporters had cornered him outside the agency building with microphones shoved in his face. Security was nowhere useful. His manager wasn't answering calls. Someone even grabbed his sleeve.
That was the final straw.
"Move," Jungkook snapped, pushing through the crowd.
The cameras only multiplied.
Then suddenly-
A black car door swung open beside him.
A deep voice said calmly, "Get in."
Jungkook didn't think twice.
He ducked into the passenger seat just as the car sped away from the chaos.
For three whole seconds, silence filled the vehicle except for Jungkook's breathing.
Then he sighed dramatically and leaned back against the leather seat.
"Finally. God, reporters are terrifying."
The driver said nothing.
Jungkook turned toward him for the first time.
Tall.
Broad shoulders.
Sharp jawline.
Dark eyes focused on the road.
Annoyingly handsome.
Definitely one of those cold men who looked like they hated humanity.
Ah.
A fan.
Jungkook relaxed immediately.
"What...?" the driver asked slowly after noticing him staring.
Jungkook held out his hand casually. "Give me paper. And a pen too."
The man blinked.
"I'll give you an autograph," Jungkook continued generously. "And please don't make this too long. I'm in a really terrible mood."
Silence.
The man's grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly.
Jungkook frowned. "What? Don't you want my autograph?"
"No."
Jungkook stared.
"You're not my fan?"
"Absolutely not."
"...Then what are you?" Jungkook narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "A stalker?"
The car jerked slightly.
"A stalker?!" the man repeated incredulously.
"Well, you're not a fan..." Jungkook reasoned. "Not a stalker... then what are you? A lover?"
The man finally looked at him fully.
"With such a wild imagination," he said dryly, "why did you become an actor? Why don't you become a writer?"
Jungkook gasped like he'd been personally insulted.
"I wouldn't become a writer even in my next life. Writers are extremely arrogant and awful people."
A muscle twitched in the stranger's jaw.
Interesting.
Jungkook squinted at him. "You know... you look offended."
"I'm not."
"Hm."
"You're imagining things again."
Jungkook crossed his arms dramatically. "Listen, even if you are my lover, I can't marry you right now. I need to focus on my career. I don't have time for these things."
"My days haven't gotten that bad yet."
"...Wow."
The car stopped abruptly near a quiet street.
The man unlocked the doors.
"Anyway," he said, "get out of my car."
Jungkook blinked. "What do you mean, get out? You're not dropping me home?"
"No."
"Why?"
"Because I'm not your employee."
Jungkook stared at him in disbelief.
"Then why did you help me in the first place?"
The man exhaled slowly, as if restraining himself from driving into a wall.
"Because the whole scene was getting on my nerves. If you'd just handled your reporters, I wouldn't have had to step in and dramatically announce myself as your bodyguard."
"Oh." Jungkook nodded thoughtfully. "Of course. Silly me. I should've magically known the scene was getting on your nerves."
The man closed his eyes briefly.
Jungkook smirked.
This was fun.
"See," Jungkook continued, "you can't just drop me in the middle of the road like this. Don't you even have basic manners?"
"Get out."
"..."
"The reporters are probably gone by now," the man added flatly. "We're not far from the agency. Go back, take your car, and go wherever you want."
"I didn't bring my car."
"Your keys are in your bag." The man glanced at him. "I can dump everything out here and prove it if you'd like."
Jungkook immediately hugged his bag protectively.
"...No need."
"Good. Then leave."
But before Jungkook could open the door, the man suddenly grabbed something from the back seat and tossed it toward him.
A scarf.
Jungkook caught it awkwardly. "What's this for now?"
"It'll be useful."
Jungkook looked down at the scarf, then slowly back at him.
"...You do care about me."
"I don't."
"You're worried I'll catch a cold."
"I'm worried people will recognize you and scream again."
Jungkook ignored that completely.
"I can't believe you didn't help me because you were mesmerized by my beauty."
The man looked genuinely unimpressed.
"Trust me," he said, "you're really not that beautiful."
Silence.
Jungkook turned slowly.
"...Do you even realize what you just said?"
"Any average boy would look like you with that much makeup on." The man shrugged. "Beautiful, I mean."
Jungkook looked horrified.
Then offended.
Then personally betrayed.
"Now," the stranger said calmly, "bye."
And he drove away.
Leaving Jungkook standing on the sidewalk with a scarf in his hands and the strongest urge to commit violence.
-
The next morning, Jungkook stormed into his agency building wearing sunglasses, a hoodie, and pure rage.
"He insulted my face."
His manager barely looked up. "Good morning to you too."
"He said any average boy could look like me."
"Maybe he was trying to humble you."
Jungkook slammed both hands on the desk. "Who is he?!"
His manager finally sighed and handed over a file.
Jungkook opened it.
Then froze.
Employee Profile
Kim Taehyung
Newly assigned personal bodyguard.
"...What."
"He starts today," the manager said sympathetically.
As if summoned by pure misfortune, the office door opened.
And there he was.
V- or rather, Kim Taehyung - walked in wearing an all-black suit and the same eternally unbothered expression.
Their eyes met.
Jungkook pointed immediately. "You."
Taehyung looked equally displeased.
"You," he replied.
The manager smiled nervously. "Great. You've already met."
"Yes," Taehyung said. "Unfortunately."
Jungkook looked scandalized.
Taehyung looked exhausted.
And somewhere in the distance, fate laughed quietly.
To be continued...💖✨
Have an amazing day!!
Purple you💜💜💜!!!
I hope you enjoyed the chapter
Goodbye!!!
Jungkook decided three things within the first twenty-four hours of having Kim Taehyung as his bodyguard.
First: Taehyung was rude.
Second: Taehyung was terrifyingly calm.
And third-
Jungkook absolutely could not stand him.
Which was unfortunate because Taehyung was suddenly everywhere.
Outside his apartment.
Behind him at schedules.
Standing beside the van.
Watching him during interviews like an emotionless security camera dressed in black.
It was deeply irritating.
"You're breathing too loudly," Jungkook informed him one morning.
Taehyung didn't even glance up from his phone. "You're alive too loudly."
Jungkook gasped dramatically.
His makeup artist snorted into her brush.
Traitor.
-
Today's schedule was a variety show recording.
Which meant chaos.
Fans crowded outside the broadcasting station the moment Jungkook's van arrived. Screams erupted instantly.
"JUNGKOOK!"
"I LOVE YOU!"
"MARRY ME!"
Jungkook smiled automatically and waved through the tinted window.
Beside him, Taehyung sat with his usual unreadable expression.
"You know," Jungkook said casually, "normal people would be overwhelmed by this much love."
"You think this is love?"
"What else would it be?"
Taehyung looked outside at the pushing crowd. "Mob behavior."
Jungkook turned toward him slowly.
"You're allergic to happiness, aren't you?"
"I'm allergic to stupidity."
"Then how are you surviving around me?"
Taehyung finally looked at him.
"...Barely."
Jungkook clutched his chest in fake pain.
"You wound me daily."
"That's the dream."
Before Jungkook could respond, the van door slid open.
Instant screaming.
The manager stepped out first, followed by Taehyung, who immediately scanned the crowd with sharp eyes.
Then Jungkook exited.
The screams doubled.
Phones rose everywhere.
People surged forward.
Jungkook was used to this. He smiled, waved, even blew a kiss toward one side of the crowd.
And then-
Someone shoved hard from behind.
Jungkook stumbled forward.
A hand instantly caught his arm.
Firm.
Steady.
Taehyung.
The bodyguard pulled Jungkook back against his chest with one smooth movement while blocking the crowd with his other arm.
"Back up," Taehyung said coldly.
His voice wasn't loud.
But the atmosphere shifted immediately.
Even the screaming fans hesitated.
Jungkook blinked.
Oh.
That was... kind of cool.
Taehyung kept one hand lightly against Jungkook's back as they moved toward the entrance.
Protective.
Close.
Warm.
Jungkook suddenly became very aware of how broad Taehyung's shoulders were.
Annoying.
Inside the building, the doors closed behind them.
The noise disappeared instantly.
Taehyung finally let go.
"You need to pay attention," he said flatly.
Jungkook stared at him. "You touched me."
Taehyung looked confused. "Obviously?"
"You touched me gently."
"...Should I have thrown you onto the pavement instead?"
Jungkook narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
"You care about me."
"I care about not losing my job on the first week."
"Hm."
Taehyung walked ahead.
Jungkook followed beside him like an offended cat.
"You know," Jungkook continued, "most people would say thank you after being saved."
"Most people would also watch where they're going."
"You really hate fun."
"You really create problems professionally."
"That's because I'm talented."
"That's because you lack survival instincts."
Jungkook grinned suddenly.
Taehyung frowned immediately.
That smile meant trouble.
"You know what I realized?" Jungkook asked.
"No."
"You're actually very handsome."
Taehyung nearly stopped walking.
"...What?"
Jungkook nodded thoughtfully. "It's unfortunate about your personality, though."
Taehyung stared at him like he was witnessing a psychological experiment.
"You spent an entire day insulting my face," Jungkook continued. "But objectively speaking, you're attractive enough that people would forgive you for murder."
"...That's concerning."
"It's true."
"You flirt with everyone this shamelessly?"
Jungkook looked offended. "Excuse you. I'm naturally charming."
"You're naturally exhausting."
"That too."
Taehyung rubbed his forehead.
For the first time, Jungkook noticed faint dark circles beneath his eyes.
"You didn't sleep," Jungkook said suddenly.
Taehyung paused.
Then shrugged. "I slept enough."
"That means no."
"It's none of your business."
Jungkook frowned slightly.
Something about Taehyung always felt... tightly controlled.
Like someone permanently bracing for impact.
Even when he was standing still.
Before Jungkook could think further, staff members rushed toward them.
"We're ready for rehearsal!"
Jungkook was immediately dragged away for hair touch-ups and microphone checks.
Taehyung remained near the stage entrance, silent as ever.
But throughout rehearsal-
Every single time Jungkook glanced toward the side stage-
Taehyung was watching.
Not in a creepy way.
Not even emotionally.
Just attentive.
Careful.
Present.
And somehow that was worse.
-
The recording ended late at night.
Jungkook collapsed dramatically into the van afterward.
"I'm dead."
"You've said that six times today," Taehyung replied.
"Because this industry is abusive."
"You chose it."
"I was young and beautiful."
"You're still dramatic."
Jungkook ignored him and leaned his head against the window.
Outside, rain had started pouring heavily across the city.
The roads blurred with lights and reflections.
For a while, silence settled between them.
Oddly comfortable.
Then Jungkook noticed movement beside him.
Taehyung was taking off his suit jacket.
"You're cold?" Jungkook asked.
Without answering, Taehyung placed the jacket over Jungkook instead.
Jungkook blinked.
"...What is this?"
"The air conditioning is too strong."
"You noticed?"
"You were shivering."
Jungkook stared at him suspiciously.
Taehyung avoided eye contact and looked out the opposite window.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
Jungkook slowly smiled.
"You really are obsessed with me."
Taehyung closed his eyes.
"I'm begging you," he muttered, "please be quiet for five minutes."
Jungkook grinned wider and wrapped himself more comfortably in the jacket anyway.
It smelled faintly like rain, coffee, and Taehyung.
And for some reason-
It felt safe.
